Chapter 24: Morning after
Sydney's POV
I woke up the next morning, the sun pouring into the room via the big window in the corner. I closed my eyes for a few seconds, trying to adjust to the light, before reopening them. I glanced around the room, scanning the area with no actual intention. "Good Morning" called the familiar deep voice of my boyfriend, my love, my mate, Emmett Cullen. I turned onto my side to face Emmett, "Mmmm, good morning to you as well" I responded. His arms snaked around my naked body and pulled me flush against his. I snuggled into his chest resting my head in the crook of his neck. I inhaled his sent, a musky but sweet sent that drove me wild.
"How are you feeling" he asked with a bit of worry in his voice. I know he was scared of hurting me during our activities last night. I moved to adjust myself when a sharp sting erupted through my lower half. Perhaps my body was a little more sore than I thought. I looked him in the eye and said "Yes I'm ok, I am a little sore but that's to be expected." He looked a little worried and kept hammering me with questions about my body. I assured him over and over again that I was perfectly fine and after a while he finally stopped asking. I don't know if he believed me but he gave up after I wouldn't change my response. I realized that both of us hadn't showered the night before because we were a little preoccupied.
I sat up on the edge of the bed and stretched my stiff muscles. I felt Emmett's large hands grip onto my waist, he tucked his face into my neck, breathing and smelling. A shiver ran down my spine as his hands began to wonder upwards. They stopped right under my breasts, the breath in my throat turned into a lump that was now stuck in my esophagus. "Your killing me, babe" I was a little confused so I asked him to elaborate. When he told me how my nakedness was driving him crazy it made me very aware of the fact that I was naked. I stood up and told him I was going to take a shower. Alice and rose said they wanted to take me to the mall today. After I got ready and kissed Emmett goodbye me and the girls were off. When we got to the mall everything was fine, they took me into every store they saw, and wouldn't let me leave until I tried on something. I did like fashion, just not nearly as much as Alice. All I wanted to do was go home and practice my violin. "So, did you and Emmett have fun last night" Rosalie asked. A blush decorated my cheeks as the girls giggled. I ignored there question and kept going, after a while I told the girls that I had to go to the bathroom. As I was walking I had a feeling someone was following me.
When I would turn around no one would be there, it was very strange but I ignored it. When I stepped into the bathroom, no one was in there. I all of a sudden heard the lock on the door click. When I turned around, my heart sank. Standing in front of me was my greatest fear, my biggest weakness, the most disgusting part of my life. It was my dad! I screamed but he was behind me in an instant, his hand over my mouth. I was so scared 'did Alice not see this coming?' The fear was so strong, then the dream popped into my head. 'The dream was a warning, it was telling me that this was going to happen' I thought. I retracted my arm and elbowed him in the ribs. I was able to wiggle out of his grip, when I was free I kicked him downstairs and ran out of the bathroom. I was so distraught that I didn't notice I had bumped into a man. A very large man at that, about the same size as Emmett. When I looked up and our eyes met, he looked so sincere and compassionate.
He pulled me into the biggest hug and mumbled "My daughter, finally I have found you." I was shocked, who was this guy and why he is hugging me like this. I heard footsteps coming our way and when I tuned it was Alice and Rosalie. They both became alert and growled. My so called 'dad' pulled away from me and put his hands up in a surrendering motion "I'm not here to harm, I just wanted to get my daughter back" said the mystery man. Both of them stopped and looked at each other. The mystery man responded "Maybe we should discuss this more at your home."
