Chapter 25: Birth Family

Sydney's POV

I stood there in shock, I was frozen. What was I supposed to do, how was I supposed to feel? I heard the familiar raspy voice of John (Her dad, sorry for the constant name change) muttering curse words as he came scrambling out of the bathroom. When he was I was still close he booked it towards me, I was terrified. We were in public, in a mall, if the girls used there vampire strength they would be exposed. I stood there ready to take the hit, but when I didn't feel anything coming I opened my eyes to see my 'real father' holding John in the air by his throat. "If you ever so much as think about my daughter again I will kill you. The only reason I haven't done it yet is because there are people around." He dropped John onto the floor and gave the most menacing glare at him. John looked like he was shitting bricks, he scrambled to get up off of the floor. But once he got his footing he took off in the opposite direction. My 'dad' turned around and looked at Rose and Alice "Girls can you take her back home, I will meet you there." They quickly nodded there heads before gripping onto my wrist and pulling me from the building. When we got to the car, I was freaking out. What was my life right now? I was so confused, this guy came out of nowhere and says he is my real father.

We loaded into the car and began our drive back home. I was anxious the whole way back. Part of me couldn't believe this was happening. Where has he been and why did he not help me when I was with that monster. We pulled into the driveway and before we could come to a complete stop Emmett had already opened the door and pulled me into his arms. His hands began wondering around my body. "Are you ok, did he hurt you" Emmett asked frantically. "I'm ok, I promise" I answered cupping his cheek. He sighed and gripped onto my had that was resting on his cheek. The girls walked passed us and walked into the house. We followed them inside, Emmett however had his arm wrapped tightly around my waist. When we got inside my 'father' was sitting on the L-couch beside Carlisle and Esme.

By the way he was talking to Carlisle it seemed they had already been introduced to each other. I sat down along side Emmett, Rosalie, Ben, Alice and Jasper. My father went straight into an explanation, "I'm here to take you home, my daughter" I looked at him in shock, I wanted to go off on him. I had finally become happy, found the one I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with, found a real family and he just wants to come in and take it away from me. He hasn't been apart of my life so I truly don't think that it's fair for me to have to go with him. "Honey, your family is invited if they choose to come" I turned to him with obvious confusion on my face. "I've been watching you daughter, I've wanted to come and get you for years, to save you from that horrid man. But if I did you have been in more trouble, but I've been looking out for you from afar to make sure I could find you when it was time. This family has looked out for you and I have truly seen you happy with these people. The kingdom need you but it also needs everyone else here." I once again was confused, and I think he could tell because he continued "I have seen the good will of all of these people, in our kingdom we not only have Asteria's but we also have all other kinds of supernaturals. Like witches, werewolves and even other vampires. We live in a society were every supernatural is as equal as each other. We have schools, blood banks (Vampire feeding area's), houses, jobs, and other thing for every supernatural, including vampire's. I've noticed how every person in this family could really help our kingdom become better. Carlisle seems to be an excellent doctor who preforms miracles, Jasper is an incredible fighter and could really help us strengthen our army, and Alice and Edward have incredible gifts that could really help us. I have come here to not only come and get my daughter but to offer you a deal. I have to take Sydney back to our world because she is the soon-to-be queen of our kingdom. But I have seen she has grown attached to this family. So I want all of you to come and join our kingdom, you could live your lives there as normal people with others who have to same abilities as you. You wouldn't have to hide anymore, plus we can also protect you from the vultori. I've been watching them as well and don't like how they are running things. So that is my offer I will give you 2 days to make a decision. I would truly love for all of you to come and be apart of our family." He turned toward me and said "Sydney I'm so so Sorry I haven't been here. When you come back to the kingdom I will explain to you and everyone else what is going on. I wish I could tell you now but I've already put you in danger by coming here to see you. I love you my daughter I will see you in 2 days." He kissed my forehead before vanishing. I looked around to everyone else in complete shock. I didn't know what to say. Was this a good thing or a bad thing, and what does everyone else have to say. I blurted out without thinking "What are we going to do?"
