Chapter 27: Destiny

Sydney's POV

It's been 2 days since my dad came and then disappeared with out much explanation. Alice has been decorating the second den on the 3rd floor of the house for my birthday. No matter what I said she would just shush me and continue decorating. Even Emmett would help Alice, I was outnumbered in the situation so I just gave up. I opened my eyes the morning of my birthday and snuggled into what I thought was Emmett. I turned to face him but didn't see his body or face. I sat up in bed a looked around but I didn't see him anywhere. A slight frown decorated my face, but I figured he was out hunting or something.
