A few hundred years into the Third Age, Lord Cirdan of the Grey Havens sends an elleth named Elluin and her family to Greenwood the Great to make their home under King Thranduil. They bear a prophecy that hints at fruition when Elluin, now a servant in the palace, finds herself falling in love with the troubled Elvenking.

Tamuril was in love with Haldir but he died in the battle of Helms Deep. She is grief stricken and doing her best to carry on with the help of her friends. Eventually, tensions rise and after a moment with Elrond she doesn't feel able to come back from she flees and hides away in the Elvenking's halls. What comes next for Tamuril, no one can know.

Lady Éowara, younger sister of Éowyn and Éomer, is a lost, rebellious and wild woman who needs some direction and guidance. The High King and Queen along with Prince Faramir, Lady Éowyn and King Éomer have to work out a plan to help Éowara, whilst knowing that all Éowara wishes to do is see the land her Hobbit friends hail from.

Following Arwen and Aragorn's wedding, Galadriel and Pippin talk about endings and Celeborn and Ioreth talk about loss. Also Galadriel gets drunk, Celeborn can't judge human ages, and Elladan tries to set up Pippin with a woman of Gondor. But mostly it's about Galadriel and Celeborn coming to terms with their upcoming separation.

Unexpectedly turned into a cat, Kat falls into Middle-earth with the mission to prevent a death. In a feline form she can only communicate with the elf Legolas - and that he is such an attractive specimen is certainly not helpful... Grima Wormtongue barely survives Legolas's arrow in Isengard. He is sent to Lothlorien to seek recovery from the elves, as he no longer has a place in the kingdom of Rohan where he is regarded as nothing more than a treacherous, villainous snake. In Lothlorien, he is placed under the care of Lady Tathareth, a mysterious and reclusive healer that takes interest in him.

Appearances can be deceptive, as Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin soon learn. When they first meet a young woman by the name of Ida in the Old Forest on their journey to Bree, at first she seems to be no more than a simple country lass. Little do they know, her story is far more harrowing.
