Hurt/Comfort flash fiction/one-shot. Spock is down. He is too weak to avoid being taken care of.

This is a slow building slash story. It's supposed to mainly be about Kirk/McCoy but there is also some Kirk/Spock, maybe even some Spock/McCoy. I try to put at least some adventure into it.

Chapters 24-28 Revised - 2293: Why the invaders had come pockmarked Q'a'ta'Orbin. Why they had left? That was a question begging an answer. But knowing the answer would not bring back what had been lost. The ingredients were still there but the recipe was gone.

McCoy couldn't remember when he'd become so short-tempered. He'd found the mission energizing, once: To boldly go where no man has gone before. It was grand. Romantic. Now it all felt stale in his mouth. Written for AO3's Neurodiversity Flash 2022 exchange.
