Ep. 16: Entering The Lost Galaxy

"Let's tell the future!" Navi said, then flew around.
"Tell the future?" Chip asked.
"I thought you knew," Robin said. "We're on the hunt for the Greatest Treasure in the Galaxy."
"Then we're going to go find another ultimate power?" Chip asked, excitedly. "We get to meet our legendary Ranger predecessors! Super awesome!"
"Seek out the planet in the Lost Galaxy…& that's it!" Navi said after smacking into Chip & making him fall over.
"Whatever could the Lost Galaxy be? Hard to figure out, as usual..." Robin said.
"I've figured it out!" Chip said, getting up. "The Lost Galaxy must mean the Lost Galaxy rangers."
"How do you know that?"
"Easy. Over a decade ago, there was a space station that was sent up into space. My uncle Trev went on it, since he won some tickets for it. He sent back pictures of the rangers fighting," Chip said, pulling out his phone & scrolled through the pictures, showing them to the others.
"How'd you even get those?" Doc said.
"Tch, please. Anyway, they're the warriors who fought against Scorpius' Army to protect their space station!"
"They're the ones who fought against Scorpius' Army?"
"Yeah...wait, you guys have heard of them?"
"They were one of the rival space fleets in the universe until they were defeated," Marvelous said. "After they vanished entering the Lost Galaxy, they were never heard from again. Slowly, our planets were annexed into part of the Zangyack Galaxy as the remaining factions seized what they could. Their forces created a neutral zone where our planets were protected. Unfortunately, not anymore."
"Wow."
"Wait!" Doc said, looking at one picture. "This one right here. It looks like they're fighting a pirate crew. See the alien captain?"
"Oh yeah. Captain Mutiny," Chip said.
"How do you know that?"
"My uncle named the picture's file that."
"Ok...anyways, doesn't sound like we'll get along."
"He. Sounds like fun, if you ask me," Marvelous said.
"More importantly, where is the Lost Galaxy?" Joe asked.
"Oh, well, the Lost Galaxy rangers lived on Terra Venture, which is on the other side of a wormhole. Normally, people can't enter it."
"That's awesome Chip. You're pretty dang useful," Robin said to him, putting her hands on his arms, excitedly.
"So, where's this wormhole?" Marvelous asked.
"I dunno. I'm not quite that knowledgeable," Chip said.
"Useless," Robin said, letting go of him.
"According to the quantum scanner," Doc said, typing on the computer. "It should be around here..." he added, bringing up the sector of space in front of them on the viewer. "Let me just enhance it with a warp field," he said, then typed & it revealed the
"Awesome work, Don!"
"Are we really gonna find this Terra Venture place just by sailing through this thing?"
"We don't have any other clues."
"No choice but to look for it the old fashioned way."
"Wait, what about the Armada?" Vivi asked.
"I had Doc program a little hack into their ships that should take them a while to decrypt," Marvelous said.
"Yeah. Good thing their antivirus software is still stuck on tech from a few years ago. For such a vast empire, they seem so surprisingly cheap," Doc said.
The Gigant Horse was shown.
"Come on! Come on! What is taking so long!?" Vekar yelled.
"It seems there's some kind of bug in the system," Levira said.
"Well, squash that bug!"
"It's not that simple, sire. It's some kind of encryption algorithm that's causing all our systems to freeze up."
"Great, first another week before the next Commander arrives, now this mess. What else can go wrong?"
"Um, sire. The rangers seem to be sailing away from Earth."
"What?"
"Yes, sire."
"Great! A huge opportunity we can't take advantage of. I'm going to take a nap to nurse this headache!" he said, then exited the room.
Back on the Galleon.
"Hang on to something," Doc said, then they entered the wormhole.
They entered the wormhole. Around them was a purple void. The ship creaked a bit as they went through.
Behind their ship was another.
"Thought you'd beat me to something, eh, Marvie?" a familiar voice said.
"Get ready, Doc said. "I think we're coming to the end of the wormhole," Doc said & a light lit up in front of them, then slowly opened to reveal stars. They came out of the hole & continued sailing.
"Everyone all right?" Joe asked. They all nodded & 'mm-hmmed' in agreement. Vivi made sure her pup was ok.
"Guys," Doc said.
"What?" Marvelous asked.
"According to the computer, we're over 70,000 light years from Earth."
"What?" Chip asked.
"Yeah. Good thing we have that wormhole."
"I'll say."
"So, we were just in the Lost Galaxy?" Robin asked.
"I assume so."
Beep. Beep.
"Hey, there's a planet up ahead," he said, then brought it up on the screen.
"Really? You think that's where we need to go?" Marvelous asked.
"Maybe. It's the only planet for a while in this area of space."
"Well, let's make landfall, shall we?" Marvelous said, standing up.
"Aye sir," Doc said, then the ship entered the planet's atmosphere.
They sailed through the air, then came across a building. They then dropped their anchor & went to the ground.
"Wonder who lives here," Vivi said.
"Halt. Who are you?" a male voice said.
"Mike Corbett!?" Chip asked.
"Mike? Who's that?"
"This is Mike, the Magna Defender! He helped the Galaxy Rangers defend the Terra Venture! He's awesome!"
"Um, hello! I'm Chip. I just recently joined as Pirate Crew Silver. Um, could I bother you for an autograph—?"
"Now's not the time!" Robin said.
"How do you know that? And who are all of you?"
"Oh, sorry. We're the newest team of Power Rangers, Pirate Crew."
"Newest team of Power Rangers? Wait, you're pirates?" he said, pulling out & aiming a blaster at them. The others got into battle stances.
"Hold it!" Chip yelled. "We're not your enemies. We seek the ultimate power of the Galaxy rangers. We got a tip to go to the Lost Galaxy, then we came here. I assume this is Mirinoi?"
"Yes, it is. So, you're not here to fight us?"
"Not unless you want a fight..." Marvelous said, but was then interrupted by a shot that hit Mike.
"Saved us a bit of trouble, yeah?" Basco said.
"Basco!" Marvelous said.
"Marvie, so good to see you here!"
"Who's that? A friend of yours?" Chip asked.
"Nothing that pleasant. This rat wanted the Greatest Treasure in the Galaxy so much, he betrayed my original crew & started working with the Armada."
"So, if he wants the treasure..."
"Right, he's an enemy to us," Robin said.
"An enemy…"
"I don't know how you found out about this place, but I'm guessing you're trying to score the ultimate power before us?"
"Bingo! I told you I had a few tricks left up my sleeve. I'm terribly sorry, but would you mind staying out of my way?" Basco asked, then held up the Shadow Ranger, Wolf Warrior, & White Mystic Ranger keys.
"Those are-!" Chip exclaimed.
"You have more Ranger Keys!?" Joe asked.
Basco loaded them into his Trumpet, then activated it, creating the clones.
"No way! How'd he do that!?" Chip asked.
"If we can beat them, they turn back into Ranger Keys. Let's take them from him," Robin said.
"Chip, please assist Mike," Vivi said as they got their keys out.
"Got it. Mike," he said, then helped him get out of there.
The others flipped up their keys & morphed.
"It's Morphin Time!"
"Pirate Crew!"
They all charged in as Chip was getting Mike away.
Marvelous faced the Shadow Ranger. He avoided his saber, then Joe started fighting him.
"Thank you!"
"Yep!"
Marvelous tried to slash him, but Kairi caught his sabre with some cymbals.
"You're in the way!" he said, then pushed her to the side. She kept fighting, pushing his strikes away with the cymbals.
Joe was still fighting Shadow Ranger.
"Doc!" he said, holding his blaster, then threw it to him.
"Roger!" Doc said, then threw him his sabre.
Vivi & Robin fought the White Mystic Ranger.
"Vivi!"
"Understood!" they yelled, then switched too.
Vivi shot at her, then Robin tried to slash her. The clone then blasted them with some snow.
Doc fought the Wolf Warrior, but it was too strong for him. Joe tried to deal with the Shadow Ranger, but was pushed back together with the others. The clones then struck them back & they fell into the river below.
Chip & Mike got to a village.
"Thanks for the help," Mike said.
"Don't worry about it. It's an honor to help you," Chip said, sitting him down on a chair. "I've always looked up to the Power Rangers & people like you. Ever since I was a kid, my dream was to protect the world, the whole universe, like you all did."
"That's why you became Pirate Crew Silver?"
"Right!"
"I got this, & was able to transform," he said, showing him his Silver Cell. "Well, compared to someone like you, I'm still just a newbie who barely has any idea what he's doing. I would've loved to see veterans like you fight some more—"
"Mike!" Maya said, running over to them.
"You're Maya!" Chip yelled.
"Yes I am. Now, hold these herbs," she said, handing a bowl to him.
Marvelous slashed at Kairi, then she jumped into a nearby tree.
"Basco!" he yelled, then stepped forward a few steps. "Tsk, where'd he go?" he asked, then shot Kairi & ran after him. "Basco!"
Down river, Joe was on a beach, then woke up. He sat up, then went over to the girls behind him.
"Hey, wake up! Hey!" Robin woke up. "Vivi!"
"You've woken up?" a male voice said from offscreen. "Thank goodness," Leo said, helping Doc walk to them.
"You. Did you save us?" Joe asked.
"I just brought you here. I didn't do much."
"Doc! Snap out of it! Doc!" Robin said as he said that, holding him up by his shoulders.
"We owe you our thanks," Vivi said. "We shall not forget this debt."
"Let's move," Joe said.
"You shouldn't overexert yourselves!" Leo said.
"The truth is, we really should," Robin said, pushing her arm off Doc's shoulder.
"Our crew's waiting for us," Joe said.
They all took off.
"So, you decided to stay here after Terra Venture crashed on the surface?"
"Yeah. There was no way to go back home for a while. The Space Rangers got us back to Earth to take down Trakeena, so some people got to go back. Other people had new lives here, so they stayed."
"Like you guys?"
"Well, this is my home," Maya said. "And our powers came from here, so we need to stay here for them, or at least we did."
"Ok. So, you just live off the land?"
"Yeah," Mike said & Maya finished patching him up.
"We fixed what we could from the station, but not everything could be salvaged, so we just did what we could. We've been taking care of ourselves."
"You guys are just so great," he said, trailing off.
"What's wrong, Chip?" Mike asked.
Suddenly, a few shots hit the ground.
"I've come to claim the ultimate power," Basco said.
"The only person who can have the ultimate power of the Galaxy Rangers is someone we chose!" Maya announced. "We won't let you have it!"
"It seems that's not the case! I don't really need your approval, after all! Because I can just rip it from you," he said, then put his trumpet to his mouth & played an alternate tune. Mike & Maya started convulsing in pain.
"What!?" Mike shouted.
"Guys!" Chip yelled, then tried to reach out to him, but an energy barrier enveloped the two & he was pushed back on to the ground.
"Impossible! The ultimate power of the Galaxy Rangers, stolen like this..." Mike said, struggling.
"Guys!" Chip yelled. The energy then went towards Basco.
"Basco!" Marvelous yelled, then forced him to stop playing. Mike & Maya fell to their knees.
"Marvelous!" Chip said, seeing him start to fight Basco.
"I had no idea...So, you can get an ultimate power with that stupid Trumpet?" Marvelous asked as Basco dodged his sabre & caught it with the Trumpet.
"Tch, I had hoped Kairi could occupy you a bit longer," Basco said, then kicked himself backwards off the sabre & loaded a Ranger Key into the Trumpet.
"He has the Ranger Key for the Magna Defender!?" Mike asked, seeing the clone.
"You should stay out of this," Marvelous said, then charged. The clone fired energy shots at him, but he deflected them. The clone then clashed blades with him.
"This is bad," Chip said & got his key out with his Cell. He then stood up, but Marvelous & the clone jumped down on to the ground in front of them. They fought some more, but then Marvelous got pushed back. He then was shot multiple times, getting demorphed & fell forward. The Wolf Warrior & White Mystic Ranger clones stood behind him as he did. The Shadow Ranger clone then joined the Magna Defender.
"Marvie, the smart move would be to give up," Basco said on t op of the cliff.
"How can you be a pirate if you're always trying to make the smart move?" Marvelous asked with a chuckle in his voice. "The Greatest Treasure in the Galaxy is my dream!" he used his sabre to stand back up. "What kind of moron would give up on their dream!?"
Marvelous then shot at the clones & started taking them on in a fight.
"He's right," Mike said. "My brother Leo also had a dream to get on to Terra Venture & see the universe. He made that happen. Look at what happened after."
"Yeah," Maya said.
"Yeah," Chip said.
Chip then charged into the fight with his Spear in hand & joined Marvelous in fighting off the clones. They fought them off, then heard the others' voices calling to them.
"Marvelous!" Doc yelled.
"Chip!" Vivi yelled.
"Guys!" Chip yelled.
"You guys all right?" Marvelous asked.
"We encountered some slight trouble, but someone came to our aid," Vivi said.
"So, we better make up for lost time!" Robin said.
They all pulled out their keys. The main 5 flipped them up while Chip put his in his Morpher.
"It's Morphin Time!"
"Pirate Crew!"
The charged in. Marvelous took on the Shadow Ranger, Joe & Robin took on the White Mystic Ranger, Vivi & Doc took on the Wolf Warrior, & Chip took on the Magna Defender.
"Bad guys don't get to use power of the Power Rangers!" Chip yelled after a few clashes.
Robin flipped her belt & pulled out the Yellow Lost Galaxy Key.
"Let's use these!" she suggested & the others all got their keys out & lined up in a line next to each other.
"Power Switch!"
"Lost Galaxy!"
"Come on!" Marvelous yelled while they drew the Galaxy Sabers & started fighting again.
THE Shadow Ranger clashed its blade with Marvelous & he used it as a spring to jump in the air & launched fire at it out of his hand. He then came back down & struck a powerful blow on it.
Robin grabbed the White Mystic Ranger clone & dragged it on the ground, then launched it in the air. Joe then jumped up & slashed it hard.
Vivi clashed with the Wolf Warrior, then Doc jumped down from a nearby cliff & slashed it, then Vivi slid by & did the same. They then did it again when it tried to come back at him.
Chip clashed with the Magna Defender. It avoided his swings, but then caught the Spear. Chip then spun around.
"Let's go—!" he yelled, then dragged the tips of the spear on the ground & struck it, flinging it back into the nearby cliff.
It fell to the ground & Chip flipped open his belt buckle, then made the Anchor Key.
"Power Change!"
"Silver Ranger, Gold Mode!"
He applied the armor & the Spear went into it anchor mode. He then inserted his hey into it.
"Final Wave!"
"Ranger Combination Strike!" he yelled, then the ranger spirits slashed the clone & he finished the attack.
"Gotcha!"
The clone turned back into a key & flew over to Mike. He then put the energy from earlier into the Key.
"Yes! I did it, Mike!" he exclaimed, excited.
"Yeah..."
The other clones were lined up & the others turned back to their regular suits.
"Finish them," Marvelous said as they got out their keys & inserted them into their blasters.
"Final Wave!"
"Pirate Blast."
"And now we get new Ranger Keys!" Robin said, excited, but then Kairicame in & swiped them. "Rats!"
"The Ranger Keys!" Doc yelled.
"I guess I have to let you lot take the Ultimate Power of the Lost Galaxy Rangers. I'll just grab the other ones before you do," Basco said, then opened the safe on Kairi's torsso. "Come on down!"
"W-what is that!?" Chip asked.
"My moondroid, Goldy. Play nice, all right? Bye now." Basco said, then left. The droid then fired a beam on them.
"He got away again!" Marvelous exclaimed.
"We need to deal with that thing first. Come forth, Q-Rex Drill!" Chip exclaimed.
"Q-Rex Drill, launching!"
He hopped aboard.
"Attack!"
He tried to drill into the droid, but it threw him back.
"Not bad."
"Megazord form!"
The others yelled & formed their Megazord.
"Ranger Key, set!"
They inserted the Samurai keys.
"Megazord: Samurai formation, ready!"
"Q-Rex Dino Mode, ready!"
He flipped up his key.
"Come forth, Q-Rex Megazord! Q-Rex Megazord, ready!"
"Let's go!" Marvelous yelled & they all started fighting. First Chip, then the others.
He put the drill into the droid after they got it off balance. The others then slashed it.
"Let's put an end to this," Marvelous said, then they turned the keys again.
"Fire Smasher! Pirate Samurai Strike!"
"Q-Rex Triple Drill Dream!"
They all put an end to the droid & it fell over, then exploded & the Megazords turned away as it did.
"Chip," Mike said.
"Yes?" he asked.
"In addition to the ultimate power of the Galaxy Rangers, I want you to have this," Mike said, holding his Key.
"But..."
"Right now, I think it would be wise to gather the power of the Power Rangers in one place," he said, putting it in his hand. "You've still got some growing to do, but you'll make a fine Ranger."
"Right!" Chip said, then they took off int he ship.
"Who would have thought the 20th Power Ranger team would be space pirates?" Leo said, standing next to Mike.
"Still unable to trust pirates, Leo?"
"It'll be fine, especially if you approve of them, Mike. Besides...I want to trust them. After the way they raced to help their friend, without much regard for themselves..." Leo said, then they both chuckled.
