Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own King Arthur.

Two months have gone by since Lancelot's return and Amelia was still there. They'd settled into a routine, breakfast with the King and Queen, lessons, spending as much free time together as possible. Sometimes Lancelot got called away but never for more than a few days or merely hours at a time, like when it was his turn to take post on the castle wall. Or escorting someone from one area to the next. More often than not, their nights were always spent together, burning down candles. Too intoxicated with each other.. like a planet and moon orbiting one another. They couldn't stay away from one another even if they tried.

Amelia woke with a startled gasp as she shot up in bed, her heart racing. She dropped her head into her hands as she attempted to calm herself jumping when a large warm hand engulfed her shoulder.

Lancelot.

"What's happened? Are you alright?" God. If possible he sounded even better groggy. Dropping her hands she turned toward him and smiled softly, "I'm alright, just a nightmare of the crash. I'm so sorry I woke you." She said placing her hand on top of his.

"Don't be.. come.." He laid back, gently guiding her back into his arms. She nestled her head on his chest, taking a few deep breaths to further calm herself.

With one hand tucked behind his head, he used his free hand to stroke along her arm and back. "Would you like to talk about it?"

"Not really. Just, scared me, that's all."

He sighed, squeezing her arm and continued to stroke his hand along her bare skin. "I'm here, if you feel compelled to talk about it. Just promise me something?"

"Hm?"

"Don't shut me out. Arthur has a terrible habit of talking to his God and not his friends which only serves to push us away. I only ask you don't do that to me."

Amelia lifted her head to look him in the eyes. "You have my word." Kissing him softly, she laid her head back down and within a few minutes she was asleep once more. He stayed awake for a while, content to listen to her heart beating in time with his, her breathing softly as her dreams seemed to come along more gently this time around. But eventually, sleep claimed him too.

Lancelot found her in the garden after breakfast, she had skipped out on morning lessons and he felt compelled to go looking for her.

"Seems you've grown quite fond of the Queen's gardens."

Amelia's face was pointed towards the sun, her eyes closed as she soaked up the bright warm light. "I am quite fond of them, yes."

She turned to face him as he joined her on the bench. "I'm quite fond of you as well." She said, he smiled. "I've actually fallen in love with you which honestly scares the hell out of me, but there it is. Out in the open." Lancelot's smile only seemed to grow larger as her words set in.

"I've been in love with you since the day you fainted and I was lucky enough to be the one who caught you. I love everything about you. Completely and irrevocably."

Before she could react or say more she found herself wrapped in his arms and being kissed so fiercely it consumed her. The world around them could burn down and still she wouldn't be able to pull herself away from him. Moaning softly as he pulled back, breaking their kiss she found herself leaning forward for more. He chuckled, brushing hair from her face, cupping her cheek.

"Marry me."

"What?"

Lancelot grinned, "Marry me, Amelia. Be mine."

"Yes, a thousand times, yes."

Her hands burrowed into his curly locks and pulled him in for another searing kiss as his arms wound tightly around her waist, lifting and pressing her firmly against him.

It was Amelia this time that broke their kiss, "Wait!" She gasped. Lancelot frowned, confusion all over his face as he slowly lowered her to her feet. "What is it? What's wrong? I thought this would make you happy."

"NO! I mean yes of course I'm happy!" She beamed but began chewing on her bottom lip as she paused to think about what she needed to say.

Lancelot tipped her head up so she was looking at him, the frown still firmly on his lips. "What's bothering you? Talk to me, please."

"I'm pregnant."
