Gigi is a 12-year-old girl with turquoise hair that she likes to change into different hairstyles daily, green eyes, and unblemished porcelain skin.
Gigi loves wearing cute and comfortable clothes that work for her active lifestyle as she enjoys running around; Gigi always wears green that matches her hair colour though one or more items are green and in different shades of green.
PERSONALITY
Gigi is a very intelligent girl, having learned from a young age how to use sign language with her younger brother, Gon. She's the more logical twin as she takes time to observe her surroundings and opponent, letting her think things through.
Gigi comes across as sarcastic and cocky though she is; she sometimes is frank, but Gigi does like causing trouble, her brother worries about her childishness when playing games with people deemed stronger, but she always shows the upper hand with her sly thinking.
Gigi, like her brother, is extremely stubborn, not backing down from anything even if the road will be challenging, and she will do anything to protect her friends and family.
When Gigi fights, she remains calm and collected, thinking only of winning and nothing else.
EQUIPMENT
Headphones: Gigi wears a set of lime green headphones that she keeps on; though she can't hear music, Gigi has heavy bass music that she can feel the vibrations. Sometimes people mistake her for a rude tween, but Gon always apologises, telling them she's deaf.
5 Bracelet: Gigi has four leather bracelets in different shades of green and one with a metal plate with her name written on it, and a green beaded bracelet that all join together. Gigi always wears this since Mito gave it to her before she left with Gon to take the Hunter Exam and doesn't take it off for any reason.
Darts: Gigi carries a pack of darts on herself that she can easily hide on her person.
ABILITIES & POWERS
Gigi has all the benefits granted by her status as a Hunter. Gigi has been deaf all her life. She has had to adapt to her surroundings and learn to think on her feet. At the beginning of the series, she carried a set of green throwing darts that she could throw with deadly accuracy, even managing to graze Netero's cheek while Gon distracted him. The darts can also be used as a defensive weapon if the situation asks for it. During the Hunter Exam, Gigi was often praised for her powers of observation, agility, and power. In battle, she thinks quickly about alternative solutions and strategies. Her most remarkable quality, however, is the uncertain, bottomless power she is gifted with. Many powerful characters such as Hisoka, Wing, Biscuit, and Razor were left astounded when they grasped the extent of the Freeces Twins' talent, which is often described as being limitless. This allows them to learn incredibly quickly, especially in the field of Nen, with an aptitude like theirs being very rare. Even before learning it, she managed to use Ren on one occasion.
Together with her potential, her strength of mind continuously leaves more experience and skilled fighters stunned. It is a crucial component of her overflowing support that causes more powerful Hunters to gravitate toward her. Her unwavering need to protect allows her to continuously put her life on the line for those she cares for without being held back by fear, allowing her to take chances others would never dare. As a Conjurer, she is pretty balanced between offence and defence but prefers to go on the offensive, as her shared stubbornness with her brother tends to come out during combat. Gigi always has a plan in place before she goes into a fight; she has at least ten plans in place. She is an expert in close combat due to having lessons back on Whale Island along with hands-on experience and the same with using her Reaper Weapons. Although this quality often goes unnoticed, the twins can focus intensely even in the direst circumstances, noticing details even starred Hunters would miss.
Other abilities include sleeping with a larger part of her brain awake than normal, thanks to Biscuit's training, and holding her breath for some minutes even if fatigued. After leaving Greed Island, due to her prowess in Nen, Gigi became able to blend into her surrounding with more proficiency and was able to sneak up on even Killua without making a sound.
Enhanced Vision: Gigi's eyesight exceeds an average human's; she can spot several examinees in the woods from the top of a tree, a feat some would judge as impossible by human standards. She can spot details so small she was able to tell two seemingly identical items apart and find the fake among them. Gigi believes because of her being born deaf, her other four senses had to become more heightened for her to survive.
Enhanced Taste: Since taste is vital to surviving in the woods, the twins trained their tongues to the point they could detect substances that are considered tasteless.
Immense Smell: Gigi's sense of smell is exceptionally advanced, causing her to be often compared to a dog. Once she knows a person's scent, she can track them down, having used this in the Hunter Exam to find Killua after she saw the badge.
Seismic Sense: Gigi uses this to perceive her surroundings by sensing vibrations in the ground, being able to see her surroundings with even greater clarity. The advantage of the sense over regular sight is that practitioners can pick up things that are barely visible or invisible to the naked eye and stuff out of their line of sight. Obstacles that would typically obstruct normal vision, such as walls and thick dust clouds, are rendered ineffective against seismic sense. Seismic sense does not only provide surface vision, as the vibrations also travel underground, enabling the user to detect caverns and other deep subterranean cavities effectively.
Preternatural Perception: Through no rational process, Gigi can determine if someone is a threat or not without having ever fought before, once describing it as a 'chill'. However, her inexperience prevented her from making more accurate estimations, which Killua often rectified. Her instincts became sharper after gaining more battle experience and improving her Nen abilities. Like other wise fighters, Gigi is capable of detecting the gazes of others. She could sense Meleoron's presence despite the latter specialising in erasing it.
Enhanced Strength: Before the Hunter Exam, Gigi could effortlessly lift a Master of the Swamp when proudly showing it to Mito, a fish so heavy that five grown men could not land it by pulling together. After training for 20 days at the Zoldych Family's estate, she became capable of pushing a gate weighing 4 tons open, as well as shattering rock pillars with a punch and sending opponents several times her size than her crashing into a wall a few dozen meters away by pushing with just one hand. Later on, at Heavens Arena, she proved strong enough to lift and throw a man three times her size out of the ring without effort, dent a piece of thick metal with a kick, and break a Nen user's arm in a split second just by grabbing them. Her Reaper Weapons weigh enough to put a dent in the ground, summarised to weigh at least 10 tons, which gives them an extra kick.
Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: During the Hunter Exam, Gigi regarded her speed as a primary asset in combat, earning some of the more experienced Hunters' respect despite being slower than most. Her quickness enabled her to dodge some harsh attacks and surprise people with sneak attacks, which she specialises in. Despite Hisoka proving faster than the twins, they could follow his movements with their eyes. On Greed Island, she could cover a distance of several meters and steal a card from a weak Nen user's hand before the latter could notice. With her superhuman eyesight and Seismic Sense, Gigi's quick reflexes allow her to always win in a fight. The twins could see through the last stage of Gotoh's coin game.
In contrast, Leorio and Kurapika were not able to follow his movements at all, as well as follow Razor's passes and throws, unlike Single-Star Hunter Tsezquerra. Through Biscuit's training, the twins became Killua's equal in running speed and reactions, despite initially being slower. Her cruising speed is such that she can leave horses in the dust and keep up with Kite and eventually trade blows evenly with Knuckles, although her movement speed remained lower than the Beast Hunter's. Gigi is also a fast climber, taking about 20 minutes to climb up the irregular surface of a tree 1783 meters high after the first 500 meters.
Enhanced Agility: Gigi can run and jump from one tree to another with such agility she quickly caught up with a Kiriko. She has a vertical leap of a few meters. In combat, Gigi can use her agility to strike from unexpected angles and to find her balance quickly after taking a hit or dodging. She also uses it to angle her weapons of choice and uses her agility in combat.
Enhanced Stamina: Gigi could complete a long-distance run of more than 80 kilometres long, taking place on uneven terrains such as ascending stairs and a swamp, without exhibiting the slightest sign of fatigue. In her first match in Heavens Arena on. On the 200th Floor, she dodged her opponent's attacks till they grew tired, and it lasted over an hour in a state of Zetsu. She can also recover from exhaustion very rapidly.
Enhanced Endurance: Gigi has shown to be able to keep fighting even while in tremendous pain. This is due mainly to her obstinacy and determination more than to a physical predisposition. She did not surrender after hours of being hit with precision or when a former opponent broke her leg. She can withstand being beaten, her left arm crushed, and she managed to conjure Reaper Gun with three bullets and win nonetheless.
Enhanced Adaptability: She talked and laughed on top of the World Tree for many hours without looking troubled by the low oxygen level or temperature.
Advanced Poison Resistance: During the Hunter Exam, Gigi accidentally scratched herself on something poisonous that paralysed her, she was unable to move for a few minutes, but she walked it off.
Healing Factor: Gigi heals exceptionally quickly. This fact is not only thanks to her being a Conjurer since there have been instances of it happening even before she learned Nen, such as when she injured herself and healed within ten days.
Genius-Level Intellect: Gigi has often astounded allies and opponents alike with his astounding ability to think outside the box, finding a new perspective with which to look at a problem to solve it. She demonstrated this ability throughout the Hunter Exam. Gigi loves to learn new things and can pick up on them quickly; with her advanced sight, Gigi can mimic what she sees when it comes to fighting styles, though it will take time to master the move. Gigi is relatively intuitive and, when entirely focused, has occasionally shown the ability, like her twin, to think faster than the likes of Killua and Morel by cutting out everything that is not relevant.
Advanced Strategist: Gigi's exceptional capacity for lateral thinking extends to battle tactics, making her wholly unpredictable. She managed to surprise Netero several times during their ball game, and one of those times was when she grazed his cheek with her throwing dart. She can devise simple but effective strategies to defeat her opponents using her surroundings and her opponent's movements. She helped her twin to create the plan that allowed Kurapika to abduct Chrollo. Her willingness to take significant damage to land a critical hit would have allowed him to defeat her enemy without relying on others. She uses her analytical skills, identifying the mechanics behind their coordinated attacks and turning them against themselves.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Gigi, having grown up being deaf, has always had to be careful and decided to take self-defence classes. Because of her ability to mimic things she sees, she can pick up the fighting moves with ease and, with practice, can master the movement. Over time, Gigi watched other people fighting and would practice by herself; even during the Hunter Exam, she would watch the far more experienced fighters and would later mimic their moves. Gigi's fighting style is a combination of fighting styles and movements.
Expert Weapon Specialist: Gigi has shown to be an expert at throwing darts. She uses deadly accuracy when she throws, mainly for scratches or significant pressure points to disable her opponents. After discovering her Nen ability was conjuring, she made more weapons, a gun, swords, and knives and used her mimicking knowledge and teaching herself by trial and error.
Master Swordsman: Gigi using her conjuring ability, can make weapons of her choosing. At first, she could not swing a sword with accuracy as she was new even to holding a sword; using her mimicking ability, she watched people who favour knives and swords, even taking quick lessons from Hanzo.
Expert Marksman: Gigi conjured her first gun after watching the other examinees and mimicked them, but accidentally hit herself in the face. After a time, she mastered using a firearm and using her keen accuracy to hit her marks, though she never goes for the kill shot, only hitting limbs to stun them.
Stealth Expert: Gigi, born deaf, has always been careful and adapted to having light steps, sometimes even keeping Killua on edge. Her aptitude at concealing her presence is an entirely natural skill, which was not achieved through any form of training, but rather through her continuous contact with the wilderness.
Expert in Tailing: The Freeces twins shadowed Nobunaga and Machi around Yorknew City, with the two failing to spot them, although they sensed their presence.
Mimicry: The actual reason why Gigi can copy people is that she can copy someone's movements in no time due to her visual comprehension skill. She only has to see a technique once to copy it and make it her own entirely. Her ability, of course, knows some barriers, as she cannot copy stronger people than herself, though she can watch them multiple times and prepare herself mentally before she can copy them.
Nen
Gigi is a Conjurer, a Nen user that can create objects out of thin air according to her imagination. She learned Nen in a short time and is deemed a promisingly skilled user. The weapons that Gigi conjures are unique, all having something in common. Gigi has certain Limitations in using her Reaper Weapons, and there are only a few times she can't use her weapons. Since the weapons are materialised, their size and shape can be controlled to a certain degree. Thanks to Biscuit's training, she has trained in at least two other Nen types, Transmutation and Manipulation, which she later honed to a high enough level to create working Nen abilities. Initially, she exhibited more fantastic skills in Transmutation than in Manipulation. Still, with some encouragement from Gon and Killua, she became more proficient in the latter category, even mastering the four primary techniques and at least six of the advanced ones (the only exception being En, although she can use Ren to sense attacks, she would otherwise be unable to react to). According to Wing, the Freeces twins' talent can be found only in one out of ten million people. She performed Ten successfully with next to no instructions, a feat which Wing described as both 'amazing' and 'terrifying', and learned Ren and Gyo in only one night. In normal conditions, she could maintain Ren for three hours outside of combat without the slightest difficulty and Ten at all times. She was also capable of performing Zetsu with great skill and without guidance after seeing Gon use it against Gido. It also earned her the praise of the Phantom Troupe, although they were able to sense her. The Freeces twins can release a more considerable amount of aura, but Gigi, like Killua, has better control to a point. Despite her lack of experience, she can accurately measure how much aura she needs to use to conjure her weapons while reserving any left for later attacks.
Outside of Nen abilities, Gigi's proficiency in Conjuration manifested chiefly in her mimicry ability. Being able to mimic other people's movements and perfect the move with some time, she uses this to further her Conjuration as she adds little pieces to her own Nen abilities. Kite was impressed by Gigi's mimicry abilities as she showed her Reaper Scythe after watching him with his, though she added more conditions to hers after watching him.
Gigi and Killua are generally regarded as the ones with the best control of their auras out of the three, often being praised by foes and allies alike for the great quantity of it she was able to release. Gigi can use six advanced techniques; she prefers using En on the boys and sneaking up on people to assess situations, and looking for traps.
Gigi developed a series of Conjured Weapons named Reaper Weapons; after learning of her Nen ability, she watched other people using weapons, mimicking their fighting style. At the time, Gigi was reading a book on mythology on death, and it inspired her to conjure a Reaper Scythe made of iron twice her size with three green-tinted blades, one smaller than the other. Biscuit was impressed that she could create more Limitations and weapons at her age. She was even more impressed when she began using her Manipulation to change the course of the bullets from her Reaper Gun.
When using Reaper Gun, Gigi can conjure more bullets if she runs out, never having to reload her gun. Even though she hasn't mastered Manipulation, she can curve the shots to hit unsuspecting people. Gigi's Reaper Scythe was her first conjuring, and she continues to work on the blade, using different combination moves and new Limitations on top of the old.
Reaper Scythe: A three-green tinted blade with a pole twice her height. This was the first of Gigi's Reaper Arsenal; she practices with her scythe and relies on the weapon as she feels the most comfortable. She has three Limitations, never any critical or fatal hits must only be used by Gigi, and only disappears after the final blow, Monster Destroyer.
Reaper Katana: A black sheath covers the silver blade with a green and golden handle. Gigi conjured the katana after fighting with a stronger opponent who shattered her earlier Reaper Scythe. Her katana has harsher Limitations as she can only use the blade when her blood has been spilt and can only use it for 10 minutes before it disappears.
Reaper Gun: Lime green pistol with unlimited bullets. Gigi rarely uses her gun as she finds it too powerful; she has Limitations, where she can continuously supply the gun with shots made of her aura and using Manipulation to curve the bullets. She put a Limitation never to kill anyone with her shells, and she must only use her gun for stunning people and disarming them.
Reaper Chain: A large iron chain that is endless with a sharp pointed end on one side. Gigi never really uses this, though when she does use it, it's for capturing and disarming people only; those are the only Limitations she has, and she can slowly coil the chains around people enough to squeeze them but can't do any more harm; otherwise, it will disappear.
