"Sasuke-kuuuun," Ino screeched glomping the Uchiha who struggled out of her hold.

"Troublesome," Shikamaru muttered coming up next to his twin.

Choji followed behind his teammates munching on his ever present bag of chips.

"Hey Aoi, (munch) your team (munch) is doing the (munch) exam too," Choji greeted the younger Nara boy.

"Hi Choji," Shikaoi replies while leaning his weight against Shikamaru's side. As his brother adjusted himself so they don't topple over, Shikaoi turned his attention to the Yamanaka girl who was still trying to force herself on his teammate, while Naruto uncharacteristically didn't say anything while looking around at the other genin.

Shikaoi could tell that the blond boy was doing his best not to have the outburst his original self had and draw attention to them.

Shikaoi turned his attention back to Sasuke and his brother's female teammate.

"Ino-chan, Sakura-san isn't here. There's no reason to pretend to like Sasuke. You're making my teammate uncomfortable with your overacting, and drawing unwanted attention to both of our teams," Shikaoi deadpans.

"Aww, Aoi-chan, you're ruining my fun," Ino says extracting herself from where she had been hanging off the Uchiha.

Sasuke quickly took the opportunity to step as far away from the Yamanaka heiress as he could using Naruto as a shield, and throwing a grateful look at his third teammate.

The two genin teams were soon joined by team eight. As soon as he saw the Hyuga girl, Naruto blushed a red brighter than even Hinata who fainted at the sight forcing Kiba to catch her.

Shikaoi supposed that telling the blond about the Hyuga girl's huge crush on him might have been the cause, and he figured that he probably shouldn't have mentioned the fact that they were married in the alternate timeline it certainly didn't help matters.

The four genin who knew the other timeline all stiffened when the 'Rookie Nine' were approached by a white-haired teen wearing round glasses.

The four boys shared a wary glance and chose to not intervene.

"So these cards have information on everyone!?" Kiba exclaimed loudly.

Surprisingly, or perhaps not considering her father's penchant for information gathering and her affinity for it, Ino was the one to question and cast doubt on Kabuto's intentions.

"So you've failed the exam several times, and you - a supposed genin - claim to have information on all of those participating, including the foreign ninja? And we are just supposed to accept it?" Ino interrupted loudly drawing the attention of most of the room who were now also wary of Kabuto.

Shikamaru smirked lazily at his brother who smiled in response at the seed of doubt that their female childhood friend had unknowingly planted.

The sound genin made their way towards the group.

'Looks like things are going according to plan,' Shikaoi thought, as the proctor for the first exam, Morino Ibiki called for everyone's attention halting everyone in their tracks before fighting could break out among the genin.
