Chapter 6 : Love and Peace
The doctor gave a quick medical check to Mamoru in the Hospital. He gave an X-Ray check, And checked his temperature by using a thermometer. After a few minutes later, he used his stethoscope and checked his heart.
" Seems that you have a high fever and insomnia these days, Don't you have enough sleep?" The doctor asked.
" It's like, I have a nightmare these days, and I haven't eaten a lot." Mamoru replied as he took his shirt on.
" Try to do relax yourself, don't push yourself too far, listen some songs, go for a walk, and try to forget about nightmares, this may help you." The doctor advised. " You must stay in the hospital for two days, then you can go back home."
" Thanks, Doc." Mamoru thanked the doctor.
" Mamo-Chan, What did the doctor say?" Usagi asked as she is waiting the result.
" The doctor said I have a high fever, and insomnia, I need to stay in the hospital for two days." Mamoru replied.
" So, Shall we visit you tomorrow?" Motoki asked.
" Sure." Mamoru replied.
" Then see you tomorrow!" Naru waved.
" Bye!" Mamoru smiled as he waved goodbye.
Taro, Jack, Mercury and Venus both teleported back to the Juuban district.
" So, Taro san, would you meet Mamoru now?" Venus asked her boyfriend.
" I'm not well prepared, Mamoru might be still angry with me now, he hates me so much." Taro fiddled his fingers.
" Maybe, Mamoru Just lost his temper and can't control himself at that time? I'm sure he reflect his behaviour." Mercury said.
" Yes, Taro." Jack said to his brother.
" He is crazy! He holds his sickle which is near to my neck! I'm so scared!" Taro exclaimed.
" Taro san, Why are you acting like this?" Mercury asked.
" I know Mamoru san very well, he told me about the breakup of himself and Usagi." Venus land a hand on her boyfriend's shoulder.
" He broke up with Usagi?! I won't forgive him by doing this hurtful stuff!" Taro gripped his knuckles, as he threw his fists on air.
" Taro san, listen to me." Venus rubbed Taro's shoulder, as she tried to hold her temper of his sudden outburst.
" Usagi told me that Mamoru san broke up with her, and she is so sad. She doesn't even know what is his intention." Venus continued.
" But then, Mamoru said to me, it's actually for Usagi's safety, not to let her involved in danger." Mercury continued.
" But, why he needs to broke up? He could tell her face to face, instead of saving he has no feelings for her." Jack wondered. " There is no enemy at that time!"
" King Endymion is giving him dreams of Usagi dying a painful death." Venus said in a serious tone.
" What? Why?" Taro wondered.
" King Endymion is trying to test their strength of love, and Mamoru afraid that Usagi would die, because you know, if a man truly love his girl, he would care about her, and would protect her no matter what it takes." Venus said.
" You promised me, Jack san? Remember, when we are at the holiday resort? You told me that you would protect me, and sooth me to sleep." Mercury bumped Jack's arm.
" Yes. Your hands are so soft." Jack blushed slightly.
" Then if I'm in danger, would you protect me to eternity?" Mercury asked.
" Of course i will! Why would you ask that?" Jack replied as he holds Mercury's hands.
" So does Mamoru broke up with Usagi, King Endymion wants to test their love, as a milestone for Mamoru ; how to handle a situation, when the King gives him a bad dream of his girlfriend being killed, is actually giving him a chance to grow up." Venus continued.
" When it comes to Death, it's hard for him to make his choice, so , he has to breakup, no other choice. Minako, you remember how Mamoru cares about Usagi?" Mercury asked as she holds Jack's hands tightly.
" Yes. I remember Usagi died, and Mamoru kissed her. He shed tears once, when he finds out Usagi is awake." Mercury recalled.
" Then my kiss on Usagi's forehead is out of the question, Minako Chan." Taro replied.
" Uhh… If you met Mamoru, don't even mention this." Venus said .
" You kissed Usagi?!" Mercury shrieked as she pulls off Jack's hands.
" Sorry, I can't help myself. " Taro scratched his head.
" Ami Chan, Taro San is just only trying to protect her from Mamoru." Venus pats Mercury's back.
" Mamoru attacked Taro san?" Mercury gasped.
" Yes, he attacked me, and he took Usagi from me, I was so scared at that time when he hold his sickle." Taro said.
" I noticed something was wrong, I actually saw Mamoru on the side of the pool." Jack replied.
" Then why don't you tell me earlier?! Jack san! We can have a chance to explain to Mamoru san!" Mercury thumped his chest.
" Ami Chan, Does Mamoru know me? Have you ever seen me meeting Mamoru?" Jack asked.
"No."
" I don't want to be involved in this incident. I'm scared that Mamoru would attack, Right, Taro?" Jack turned his head to Taro.
" Yes." Taro nodded.
" Now where's Usagi?" Taro wondered.
Usagi bid farewell to Motoki and Umino, Naru, as they head back to their houses.
As they go back home, they saw Taro, Jack, Mercury and Venus standing in the pavement.
" Taro san! Jack san! Minako Chan, Ami Chan!" Usagi said as she waved to them.
" Usagi Chan! Are you alright? Did Mamoru hurt you?" Taro asked as he pats her shoulder.
" I'm fine, Mamo-Chan told me he apologised to Motoki , Umino, and Naru for the sudden outburst yesterday." Usagi replied.
" Then, Where is Mamoru?" Jack asked.
" He's at the hospital, he is having a high fever, resting in Hospital." Usagi replied.
" Oh. Then let's go back home." Taro said.
" And get prepared for the visit, Motoki said he and Naru, Umino would visit Mamo-chan." Usagi continued. " He also wanted to meet Taro. Mamo-Chan wants to speak to you, Taro san." She said as she looked at Taro.
" Me? I thought he hates me?"
" Motoki san said he saw Mamo-chan in his house, crying because he misses me, and he reflect himself , he felt sorry for attacking you." Usagi continued.
" So, did he forgave me?" Taro wondered.
" Yes." Usagi replied.
" Let's get prepared for tomorrow's visit then!" Jack said.
" Right!" Then they head back to Their houses.
Taro is sitting inside Minako's bedroom, he is thinking of how to apologise to Mamoru.
" Taro san?" Venus asked as she changed into a sleeping dress.
" Yes?" Taro asked as his hands are on his chin.
" Are you still thinking of how to speak to Mamoru? I have never seen you thinking." Venus asked as she wraps her arms on his neck.
" Minako Chan….. Mamoru has changed to a different person when I saw him holding his sickle near my neck, I was so freaking scared, I thought I would die!" Taro said as he thumped his hands to the table.
" Taro san, Calm down! This is my only study desk!" Venus soothed him.
" Sorry, Minako Chan." Taro apologised.
" Have you ever have a fear of dying?" Venus asked.
" Yes. I was killed by a bird kaiju, it is so strong, that it killed my brother and myself, I should be happy that my parents have the power to revive me and my brothers." Taro said as he grabs Venus's hands.
" But, you did not die, when Mamoru throws a knife to your abdomen, right?" Venus recalled.
" Yeah, ever since this experience , I always have flashbacks when I died." Taro said.
" Me too, Taro san. I remembered when I need to sacrifice myself from Queen Beryl , Nehelenia and Sailor Galaxia, it really hurts me the most.. I want to protect Usagi, but it's useless. I shouldn't have sacrificed myself to Galaxia." Venus sniffed a bit, her vision is starting to get blurry.
" My brother Jack told me , He and Ace, Seven and Ultraman, Brother zoffy , they are at planet Golgotha, when our energy is draining, and earth is danger, Ace cares about his brothers so much, he can't afford to leave them." Taro soothed Venus as he stood up from her chair, and he rubbed her hair.
" It's a bit like when we are at North Pole, and in Shadow Galactica." Venus choked a tearless sob.
" I remembered Ultraman slapped Ace so hard in the face , because he wanted to protect him, and he can't afford to see him to die that young. My brothers gave them rest of their energy to Ace." Taro recalled.
" Ami also slapped Usagi, your brother slapped Ace san. So… Basically , Your brothers are similar to us, except we died…" Venus eyes are in the verge of tears.
" Did I say something wrong, Minako Chan?" Taro said as he pats her shoulders.
" Sorry, Taro san, this…experience … is so painful… I shouldn't have died…" Venus's tears dripped by bit by bit on the blanket.
" I'm here, Minako Chan. Don't worry." Taro rubbed her back.
" Taro san… What happened to your brothers?" Venus sobbed.
" They are trapped in the planet. But, thanks to brother Ace, he saved them." Taro said as he pats her back." I'm glad that Ace can be able to save my brothers."
" Taro san… You're such a good boyfriend, you remind me of Kunzite…" Venus cries more harder on his chest.
" Don't cry, Minako, I know you are a brave Sailor Scout, you have to be strong and fulfill your duty." Taro hugged her tightly.
" I miss Kunzite so much, I want him to be back…" Venus cried.
" Don't worry, I'm sure he still can hear your voice, your hearts are connected to each other, even though he is gone." Taro soothed her.
" Thanks, Taro san." Venus then kissed his cheek, as her tears are flowing.
" Don't mention it, I'll stay with you, now let me give you a kiss."
Taro then kissed Venus, as he wiped her tears that are flowing from her cheeks.
" Taro san, Thanks….." Venus eyes closed as she lays back to her bed and fall asleep.
" Minako Chan…" Taro then tucks into the bed, pulls her head to his chest. And he holds her hand and fall asleep.
And they slept peacefully, this is the first time, Taro has someone which are related to them, despite the scouts died more than the Ultra brothers, the last time his brothers died, when they are turned into a statue by an alien, his father rushed to his sons, and willing to give his color timer to Ace, standing lifeless, so he defeated the alien easily. Now he felt relieved after expressing his pain.
The next morning, Taro, Venus , and Usagi, Motoki, Naru and Umino , Ami all hold their presents, a basket full with fruits, some get well cards, which are inside in Usagi's bag, some of Mamoru's favorite Tv programme discs, as well, Naru holds her Sailor Moon, Sailor Stars disc, for Mamoru to know more about Taro. And to show the proof how Usagi meet Taro. Then they took a 20 minute bus, and arrived at the hospital. They checked in to the counter, to work out on the visiting hours, and waited for a few hours, they are finally allowed to check in. Usagi and her friends are the ones that stepped inside Mamoru's room.
" Mamo-Chan! Do you feel much better?" Usagi asked.
" Usako.. Yes. I feel much better, the fever's gone." Mamoru smiled to Usagi.
" So, that means that are you fully healed?" Motoki grinned.
" The doctor said I am alright, so I can leave tomorrow." Mamoru replied.
" Mamoru san, Here are some fruits!" Naru smiled as she offered the basket full of fruits.
" Thanks, Naru." Mamoru thanked.
" And I have something for you, Mamoru!" Umino smiled, as he took the Sailor Moon and Stars special edition Disc box to him.
" What's that, This is the Sailor Moon disc, what's special about it?" Mamoru wondered as he glanced the DVD box bit by bit. " There is nothing, how can I trust you guys? I guess I have to watch tv." Mamoru sulked as he opened the TV.
But when Mamoru opened the TV, the TV broadcasted episode 45 of Sailor Moon, shows Usagi alone in the ice.
" What, Usako? What happened to you? Why are you alone?" Mamoru feels dumbfounded after seeing the scene, because he died at that time.
" Just watch , Mamo-Chan." Usagi said.
" Usagi…Usagi…Usagi!" A red human is shaking Usagi's body.
" Who are you, and why you need to save me?" Usagi asked as she looked up the new saviour.
" Taro, Ultraman Taro. " Taro nodded as he introduced himself. " Seems you are crying for a long time."
" No, Taro san, What are talking about? I'm fine, I just tripped myself." Usagi said as she forced a smile.
Taro then hugged her tight.
" Usagi, just let your feelings out, please cry."
" No, Taro san! I'm happy." Usagi is smiling, but her eyes shined a bit.
" Usagi, don't hide, I know you lost your friends, I saw them die."
" My friends….No! I must not cry! I have to save my friends!" Usagi said with confidence, but her eyes are threatening with tears.
"Usagi, Let me tell you my experience. My brother sacrificed himself to save the earth against a kaiju." Taro said.
' Who is your brother?' Usagi wondered.
' His name is Ultraman Zoffy, he sacrificed himself from fighting a bird kaiju. I was so sad. And Zoffy Niisan revived afterwards when me and my mother brought her back to the land of light and revived him.'
' Also, Zoffy niisan told me about he and his brothers sacrificed themselves the second time.'
'Zoffy san sacrificed himself for the second time?' Usagi gasped.
' Yes, and that time it's so desperate. My cousin Ace, he fight against an alien, who was so powerful, he turned him into a statue.'
' So, why it's so desperate? Your brothers died also?' Usagi said.
' Sadly yes, they turned to Statue one after another just like your friends have died…..' Taro said with sadness.
' My friends…..' Usagi said as her tears starting to fall.
' But, it's not over yet. My father appeared and he first revived Ace.' Taro said.
' Did he killed the alien?' Usagi said, her voice was a bit hoarse.
' He didn't . And he saw Ace standing, dead, he pulled his color timer out of his chest, and at that time, Ace was revived, and he killed him easily with his metailium ray.' Taro said.
' Your father…died?' Usagi cries as her tears fall freely from her cheeks.
' Yes…. My brothers were sad and they lift his dead body and bring it back to the land of light.' Taro said.
'But! Taro san, I cannot do this by myself!' Usagi cries more harder on his shoulder.
'Usagi, I know you can do it! Don't lose hope!' Taro said as he gripped Usagi's arms.
' Taro san, I'm afraid that I will die…. I don't want to fail my friends!' Usagi bawls.
' Your friends are with you, despite they are gone, they are still in your heart!' Taro said.
" Come on, cheer up." Jupiter's ghost said.
" Be strong, Usagi." Mercury's ghost said.
" Don't give up hope." Venus's ghost said.
" We'll always be together." Mars's ghost said.
' See? Your friends were here with you, I'm also with you.' Taro gestured and he smiled to the spirits of the Inner Senshi.
Usagi's eyes then welled up with tears and she hugs Taro's waist tightly and bawls loudly.
' TARO SAN!' Usagi said with tears streaming down at her face.
' It's okay, I'm here , Usagi.' Taro wraps his arms on Usagi's body , patting her back softly.
After The clip was shown in the TV, Mamoru let out sigh of relief, because he has no idea why the 'Demon' in his nightmare which is similar to Ultraman Taro, now he noticed , the'Demon' is actually his heart's dark side, which wanted to separate every relationship, his girlfriend, Usagi, and even his best friend, Motoki, Naru and Umino. He now know Taro really cares about Usagi, is that Mamoru died at that time, so he doesn't know anything.
" Oh…That's Taro? He is not her boyfriend, is just a normal friend?" Mamoru took a deep breath after watching this heartwarming, touching scene.
" See? This Disc's special thing is this, Where Taro san save Usagi, and sooth her , I cried when I saw this scene." Motoki said as he wiped a small drip of tear in his eye.
" Motoki, so where is Taro?" Mamoru asked as he glanced the whole hospital.
" I'm here!" Taro waved , as he stepped inside the room.
" Taro san?" Mamoru can't believe in his own eyes, he met his 'rival!' He remembered when he attacked , and hold a sickle, which is inches to his neck, throw a small knife on his abdomen, and he nearly killed him, he is so grateful that he didn't really kill him, since he knew Usagi is protecting Taro, now he regretted everything, the stalking , the desire of how he wanted to kill , humiliate, laugh , he remembered the moment when King Endymion gives a bad dream , that Mamoru doesn't want to see it in his own eyes, is Usagi die in a painful , Gruesome, Bloody death, The king is actually giving a task for him to earn his trust on love, how much he loved Usagi, how would he react when he saw his beloved Usagi, die like this, when Usagi got back home, he know it is the time, to say this, he needs to say it! He knew King Endymion would be not happy about this, failing the task to him. So he said it, in front of Usagi. And she cried; This time, it's not a task given by King Endymion, nor a villain who was threatening Usagi, it was just merely a mistake, when he first saw Usagi hanging out with Taro, Minako, all because of the nightmare, the 'Demon' is Taro; But it's just a shape of the body which is similar to Taro, except Taro inside the nightmare, his color timer was red. Because normally the Color timer of the Ultramen, is Usually Blue, also, The Taro inside The nightmare has two black stripes which are shown from his chest to his legs ; Instead his stripes are silver. When he saw Taro, he now noticed Taro's appearance is different then the one in the nightmare.
" Yes, I'm Ultraman Taro, and you've attacked me before." Taro introduced himself.
" I'm sorry, Taro san. I didn't know that the Taro in the nightmare is actually a evil copy of yourself."Mamoru apologised.
" Evil Copy? You thought I'm the one that killed Usagi? No!"
" I'm going to beat that Demon! If it haunts me again, I'll kill it by myself."
" Then I assume the Demon is actually Chaos?"
" Not sure." Mamoru replied.
" By the way, Shall we give you a rest, Mamoru?" Umino asked.
" Yes, I haven't slept well because of it." Mamoru replied as he tucked himself to bed.
" It's ok, Mamo-Chan. Now you know Taro san is a good guy, he is not the one who tried to kill me, and who is my boyfriend?" Usagi asked,
" Yes, Usako, everybody, I'm sorry for causing this chaos, tantrum throughout these days. Please forgive me."
" It's all right. Mamoru." Motoki soothed him.
" We're here for you." Naru soothed him also.
" Let's give Mamo-Chan a rest." Usagi gently pat their friends shoulders.
" Bye, Mamoru. Hope you will stay safe!" Taro waved.
" Bye! " Mamoru waved to Taro.
At night, Mamoru is sweating heavily, he is holding his chest for a long time, having the same nightmare, as the same one when he first started to have the nightmare that was torturing him, this time, he can't afford to make the same mistake again.
" Mamoru! Usagi is mine now!" The Demon laughed.
" MAMO-Chan, Help me!" Usagi screamed.
" What do I need to do now?" Mamoru asked
" You Just have to obey me, and work with me! Then I'll let Usagi go." The Demon said.
" No, You're just lying, You're just trying to use me and kill Me and Usako!" Mamoru pointed his baton.
" Haha! That's correct. I'm gonna tell Chaos sama, about this good news!" The Demon said as he holds his blade near Usagi's neck.
" Mamo-Chan! What are you doing?! Just kill him quickly!"
" Throw your Baton, Right now!" The Demon said as he gestured.
" Fine!" Mamoru throwed his baton near to him, but of course his back, has hidden a small knife.
" Haha! Chaos sama would be proud." The Demon laughed as he about to grab the Baton, until Mamoru throws his knife, to the Demon, it stabbed his chest.
" Feel me now? You're just only a nuisance who wanted to disperse my relationship with my friends , disguise as Taro, you're making me mistaken as Usagi's enemy!" Mamoru yelled as he stabbed his knife more deeper.
" Curse you! This plan suppose to work , I'm inside your nightmare, just to transform myself as Taro to make you kill him!My appearance is actually the same as him! Why you know he is a hero?" The Demon asked as he about to die.
" Taro told me that he has silver stripes, and you have Black stripes, and your color timer is red! Taro san's one is blue!" Mamoru pointed to him.
" Nooo!" The Demon yelled in agony as he collapsed, Dead. Along with the silhouettes of the Sailor Moon bosses disappeared.
" Mamo-Chan!" Usagi cries in joy as she hugs him.
" Usako, Are you ok?"
" Yes, Thanks Mamo-Chan!"
" Is this a dream?" Mamoru asked.
" Mamo-Chan, you have to wake up! Your friends are waiting for you to leave the hospital!" Usagi said.
" Pinch me, Usako!" Mamoru said.
Then Usagi pinched Mamoru's cheek.
As expected , Mamoru woke up from his bed, the sun is shining through the Hospital window, the sky is blue, birds are chirping, while some of the patients from his room, are happy to meet their relatives.
" You awake?" The doctor asked.
" Ye-Yes." Mamoru stuttered a bit.
" I have some good news, You are out of the hospital. Seems that you are having a nice dream." The doctor smiled.
" What?" Mamoru asked.
" Your friends are waiting for you to wake up." The doctor gestured as he points his hand to Usagi and her friends.
" Mamo-Chan!" Usagi is the first one to hug Mamoru tightly.
" Ow, Stop, Usako! You're hurting me!" Mamoru laughed as he pats Usagi's hair.
" Are you having a nice dream?" Motoki teased.
" This is the first time that I actually see you woke up with a smile." Umino smiled.
" I smiled? I didn't notice that." Mamoru chuckled as he scratched his head.
" Now, let's get you out of the hospital." Naru smiled.
" So, Mamo-Chan, let's have a nice party at my house, shall we?"
" Thanks, Usako, Everyone, You are all right, Taro san is really a hero."
" Don't mention it. Mamoru." Mercury smiled.
After they checked out of the hospital, Mamoru and Taro are smiling to each other as they are walking through the pavement.
" So, Taro san, may I ask you a question?" Mamoru asked.
" Yes?" Taro wondered.
" When I opened the TV, it reruns Sailor Moon episode 45: at that time it was supposed to be noon, the television should broadcast the news, what happened?"
" I think the TV just wanted to give a small tribute, to show that Sailor Moon is a very popular anime, that they wanted to broadcast this episode." Taro replied.
" Right, because I died at that time, thanks for the episode, or might I didn't know you comfort Usako before." Mamoru smiled.
" It's alright, Mamoru." Taro pats his shoulder. "Actually…." Taro thought as he recalled.
Taro and Jack are at hiding in the restroom, they don't want to let Mamoru see them.
" What should I do?" Jack asked.
" Teleport me and yourself to the Japan Television community, to Tsuburaya productions, and tell the Tokyo broadcast system to broadcast Sailor Moon episode 45!" Taro urged.
" What? No!"
" Then do you want Mamoru kill you? This is the only proof that show me how I care about Usagi!" Taro shrugged.
" Arghhh, Fine!" Jack felt annoyed, as he and Taro both teleported to Tsuburaya productions.
Taro and Jack knocked the door, and just to find the director.
" Director!" Taro said as he knocked.
" Taro!Jack! What are You two doing here?" The director asked.
" It's about this….." Taro and Jack both whispered to the director as they explained the situation
" Oh! No problem! I will call Toei !" The director then called Toei animation.
Taro and Jack arrived at the studio. One of the producers are shocked to see them.
" Ultraman Taro, Jack?" Producer #1 eyes widened.
" Quick! Please change the news to Sailor Moon! I want everyone to know that Taro is a hero!" Jack shook his shoulder.
" I don't have the tape! It's gone!" Producer #1 shrieked.
" Don't worry, I still have my trump card." Taro smirked as he transforms the projection as a tape, as he puts the tape to a computer, it revealed the special edition of Sailor Moon with Ultraman Taro inside.
" That's the tape! Thanks Taro!" Producer #2 thanked .
Then the producer puts the tape, as the Special edition of Sailor Moon broadcasted whole Japan.
" Oooh! Taro is here!" A kid exclaimed.
" What? Oh yes! My childhood hero is here !" Kid#2 smiled happily.
Of course, all of the kids, parents are happy to see this special episode still airing on TV.
" Thank god Mamoru doesn't notice that…." Taro thought as he is walking.
" So, Taro,Shall we head to Usagi's house and have a nice party? Wait, Why Minako Chan, and Ami Chan are hanging out with Jack?" Mamoru wondered.
" You know Jack?" Taro asked.
" Well, in the episode, it revealed you brothers are at the beginning of episode 45. So, yeah." Mamoru replied.
" It's a long story, when I soothed Usagi, Minako kissed my forehead, and my brother, Jack, said Ami's Mother , Saeko and her friends watched our TV shows when they were young, so they know us." Taro answered.
" I didn't expect Saeko san actually watched this when she was young, she didn't even tell me one single word about you."
" Secrets? I assume? Everyone has secrets." Jack replied as he holds his hands with Mercury.
" Ami Chan, Jack san seems close to you." Mamoru smiled.
" Yes, My mom told me that she has found me a boyfriend, and she found Jack san, I dreamt him sacrificing his life to save me from Galaxia. But thanks to Jack san, he helped me to get over it!" Mercury smiled as she kissed Jack's cheek.
" You too, Taro san." Venus smiled as she kissed his lips.
" Wha-wha-wha-What?" Mamoru shrieked.
" How romantic!" Motoki smiled.
" Mamo-chan, please kiss me!" Usagi then hugs Mamoru tightly as she trying to kiss him.
" Oh come on, You Guys!" Mamoru feels annoyed, but happy at the same time.
They laughed as they head back to Usagi's house and enjoy a nice party
Mamoru can finally has a new companion, he is no longer alone anymore. From the beginning when he saw Taro hanging out with Usagi, how he hate Taro ; until he reflected himself, understanding how Usagi and his friends care him so much, how Taro actually is a saviour when he is gone. This is actually a big turning point, towards himself, towards everyone, to meet a new friend, he swore he would protect Usagi along with his new partner, companion, Sidekick, the brave Ultraman Taro.
