Kano, and Kabal stared up in identical states of horror as the orange beast flew over their position. It's screeches were defeaning, and the fire flowing from It's mouth increased the temperature of the entire battlefield. They both gazed upon the dragon as it darted to a nearby bulding, and lit it ablaze. The screams of buring men could be heard clear as day, and the charring smell of flesh was almost enough to make Kabal sick.
"Holy shit!" Kano shouted as he attempted to shield his face from the blinding orange lights.
"How the fuck do we stop that thing?" Kabal had asked. He felt hopeless. Nothing on this earth aside from a nuke could drop that monster, and even then it might only wound it at best. This didn't stop Kano from trying something.
"I got something for the fucker!" Kano said as he lifted a missile launcher onto his shoulder. Kabal witnessed a cloud of smoke come from the launcher as it flung the missile quickly from it's shoot. The missile soared high into the air, and blasted against the dragon's belly. It had no effect. The missile exploded, but no damage had been done. Kano threw the launcher to the ground in anger.
"Useless peice of shit!" He cursed. Kabal looked back at the dragon, and saw that it had targeted the building they were atop of. For the first time since his brother's death Kabal had felt fear. Kano had seen the dragon flying towards them as well.
"Time to blow this joint!" Kabal exclaimed as he began darting for the rooftop door with Kano in tow. They both squeezed through the door, and met Kira as she was climbing the stairs to meet them. She looked absolutely horrified by the sights of the battle. Her red hair was scattered in multiple directions.
"We gotta go now!" Kabal had warned hurriedly. Kira looked stunned, as Kano grabbed ahold of her, and gave her a forcefull shove backwards in the direction she had came. As the three of them sprinted down the stairs they felt the entire building wobble. Kira had fallen down, and Kano had helped her back to her feet. Kabal had reached the top floor of the bulding first. He spotted the snipers mounted in the windows.
"That dragon is on the roof! We need to leave now!" As soon as the words left his mouth he felt a swift breeze as glass shattered all around. The tail of the dragon had burst into the room, and began sweeping the entire floor.
"Help!" One of the snipers shouted just before being swept off of his feet by the dragon's tail. Kabal thrusted forward in an attempt to aid the fallen sniper, but Kano had grabbed ahold of him, and wouldn't let go.
"Don't!" Kano bellowed into his ear. "It's too late mate!" Kano was right.
The sniper had been forcefully flung to the outside with a harrowing scream. The other snipers in the room were soon to follow, and Kabal could do nothing but watch from the momentary safety of the stairs. Once the dragon's tail had disappeared back outside of the building Kano, Kabal, and Kira sprinted across the room, and made their way down another flight of stairs. Once there they found Tasia with a handful of armed Black Dragon mercenaries. They had been waiting on standby in case the enemy had managed to break Jarek's force that had been protecting the entrance. Tasia's eyes met Kano's.
"Jesus Christ what the fuck is going on?" Kabal could sense the distress in her tone.
"We've got a full grown bloody dragon on the roof Tasia! We need to get the fuck outta here before the thing capsizes the entire building, or worse burn it to the fuckin' ground with us in it!" Kano explained as quickly as he could. Tasia stood still in shock.
"We need to hold this building!" She insisted. "We go out there, and we're dead!"
She was afraid. Kabal knew it, and she had every right to be, but that dragon was far more deadly than anything out there.
"We don't have time to debate this!" Kira screamed. Fire could be seen shooting down onto the battlefield from the roof of their base.
"We're not gonna last much longer up here! Take these mercenaries, and let's get out of here!" Kira tried to persuade. Tasia's face went red with hatred.
"Listen here you little slut, just because you have Kano under your thumb just because you have a nice tight ass, and a fire crotch to match doesn't mean you've become my fucking boss!" She hissed. Kabal, and Kano gave each other a worried look.
"For the love of God not now! We're not doing this right now!" Kabal thought.
Kira had now gone red in the face, and balled up her fist. Tasia took note of this, and chuckled to herself.
"Go ahead bitch. Try it." She taunted. Kira as quickly as possible, had launched forward, and delivered a hard punch to Tasia's face. The impact had rocked her, and sent her stumbling backwards. Kano had grabbed Kira, and held her back. Kabal had to restrain Tasia against a wall to stop her from approaching.
"Let go of me!" Kabal felt Tasia squirming under him, but he gave her no chance to break free.
"Quit acting fucking stupid Tasia!" Kabal shouted down in her face."You're going to get us all killed! We need to go!"
"Maybe that's what she wants!" Kira spat. Kabal gazed back at her over his shoulder. Even Kano had looked very carefully at Kira.
"I overheard you talking about a traitor in the cartel! This bitch is probably telling Mavado everything, because she's jealous that she's not yours Kano!" Kira's eyes met Kano's as she said this.
"Your little lover's gone batshit Kano! What the hell is she talking about?" Tasia asked. It appeared Kano didn't know what to say, so Kabal spoke.
"Shut your fucking mouth Kira! You have no idea what the fuck is going on!"
"It seems obvious to me!" Said Kira.
"She knew Kano was at the nightclub where we both were attacked, and she knew of Kenshi's mission where he was ambushed! I wouldn't even be surprised if she knew when you set out to kill Mavado in the Special Forces prison!" She pointed out bitterly.
Kabal felt his insides lurch. He turned back to Tasia, who appeared just as shocked as he felt, and then he knew. He knew what the fuck had happened. There was indeed a traitor, but before he could finish the traitor off, the bulding wobbled again, and flames had begun spreading across the carpeted floor. Kabal's grip on Tasia slipped, and together they fell to the floor. The room tilted worryingly to one side. A desk had thrown itself forcefully into a few mercenaries, and tossed them from the building entirely.
Kabal's ears picked up a hundred screams of terror. The fire of the carpet was spreading to the walls, and suddenly the lot of them were surrounded by a hellish inferno. He heard the sounds of the walls crumbling, and metal supports bending. The sights, and sounds were so fear inducing, that even Kano gave out a cry. At last the structure gave one final wail, and then a loud snap. The skyscraper had ended it's leaning, and began plummeting to ground oh so very far below.
