Thechasmaster: Boy is it good to be back! That's right ladies and gentlemon, Chaos is back with a brand new chapter for Digimon New Life. To tell you all the truth, I was stuck between writing this, Pokemon A Brave New Adventure, and The Hero and The Dragon. But I decided to get back to this. Now then, for those who want to complain about my cannon chapters, deal with it, these chapters help introduce the characters, and help make the interaction with the other DigiDestined seem more real. Now then, there is more I would like to say, but I'll leave that for the bottom. Kurivolt, if you please.

Kurivolt: You got it, boss! Chaos does not own the rights to Digimon or it's character, nor does he own me, we both belong to our appropriate creator, Chaos does own himself, obviously, and the small minute changes to the plot that occors, other then that, Read, Review and enjoy!

Thechaosmaster: I'm back, no jokes, no insane introduction, just I'm Back.

Red: Boss? Where have you been? You haven't updated since June. What's up?

Chaos: Well, okay, strap on in, everyone, because what I'm about to say is important. for the past three months, I have been searching for, well, I guess three months is, never mind, the point is, I've been doing some job searching, and now, I have a full time job at Amazon. That means I will be working Thursday Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10 hours. with only Monday, Tuseday, and Wendsday off, and I have also been banging my head agains the figiritive wall trying to get myself back into writing, and what story to continue, but, if you a reading this, then, the answer is clear which series I am continuig. But, please, for my sanity, don't spamming the reviews with OMG CHOAS! HURRY UP AND FINISH THIS STORY! Because I will ignore all reviews that try to rush me. I am freaking tired as all hell. So, please, have paitence, I will continue this story when I get to it. Just be paitnet.

Red: On another note, the things we have added in this chapter will...

Chaos: BLOSSOM! Not yet. if the readers can find out for themselves, then they have earned a pat on the back. Now, don't think I will let it slip. Also, I want to say this, all who have guessed at who Olette is, are not even close. And, the funny thing is, I was expecting people to have figured it out by now. I mean, in a way, I kinda gave it away already, but at the same time, not clearly. Oh, well. Anyways, on with disclaimer!

Blossom: Thechaosmaster does not own the rights to Digimon, he has yeet to gather enough loyal followers to mae it happen, but, at the same time, he is uncertain if that is even a good idea at all. All he owns is whatever it is he owns.

Thechaosmaster: Helo, everyone. I am sorry for the missing edited version of this chapter. I guess I had it finished, but somehow I forgot to upload it. Gomen.

Chapter 5: The Brainiac and The New Friend

"Alright, if you're gonna destroy me, then will you please proceed to wash your hands first? I like to keep things clean." Davis episode I still don't know

After the whole Meramon-San incident that happened yesterday at the Yokomon Village, us DigiDestined and our partners had decided that our best option was to rest for the night again, this time staying at the Yokomon Village.

But, while Matt-San had suggested that we should take shifts for the night watch, again, Tai-Nii, who was actually being reasonable, had stated that it would be pointless to stay up for night watch in the peaceful village.

Anyways, that's not what is important right now. What is important is what I was doing at the moment. The sky was still dark, and the stars were still shining in the pitch black night. Watching the night sky was something that I had enjoyed since I was little, and I was watching said night sky, completely amazed at the beauty that is the starry night sky.

It's something that I'm not really used to, living in a very busy city with city lights blinding out the stars, it truly was a beautiful sight to see.

Although, if someone were to ask me what time it was I wouldn't be able to answer them, no matter how hard I tried. I tried checking the time on my D-Ark, but had quickly realized that it didn't tell time, and instead, with a bit of annoyance, I watched the Digital World's starry night sky while everyone else enjoyed the rest of their trip through dream land.

It was even too dark for me to write, so I couldn't occupy myself by writing my story, or random thoughts on paper. Even though I couldn't tell what time it was, I would hazard a guess that it is close to four in the morning.

Now then, the reason why I'm awake at, what I believe to be four in the morning, is because last night I had a very strange dream, one that felt more like reality then a simple dream. I was in my Memory Warehouse, something that I thought only existed in Steven King's Dream Catcher.

Now, for those who are wondering, the Memory Warehouse is, as the name suggests, is this huge warehouse designed as a building that one would feel most comfortable in and is familiar, maybe a library, or an old childhood hideout, or a place where an important moment in your life happened.

But, for me, it was my past lifes old High School, while one might say that High School isn't a place to feel comfortable in, but for me, it was.

Anyways, as I was walking through the school, I was wondering, why it was so empty and I thought, 'I know this place, this is New Bedford High School, but why am I here? And why is it so empty?' I couldn't, at the time, place my finger on it, but, now that I look back on it, I remember feeling something tingling in the back of my mind, almost, almost like I was being led somewhere.

I then decided to make my way throughout the school, from the cafeterias, to the gymnasium, even to the main house offices, but still nothing, then I thought, 'This is strange. Is this a dream, or something else? I know that when I went here that I mostly pretended that I was basically invisible to almost everybody around me, but shouldn't this School have some form of life around here?' I was a little creeped out by how empty the school was.

And even though the school was so empty that one would expect a tumble weed to be slowly rolling down the halls. But, there wasn't anything, no dirt, no dust, nothing. No sound of life, not even any kind of sound from my own feet walking on the tiles. Nor any high pitched buzzing coming from the lights, it was dead quite.

The silence was so deafening, that it was kind of creepy, but it didn't have that creepy vibe that horror movies give old abandoned houses and schools. But, it still had an air of creepiness to it.

At the time I hadn't yet realized what the school really was, but I was convinced that it was some sort of dream.

As I made my way through my old classrooms, hoping to find some kind of clue, or something that would at least hint to me where I was, but I found nothing, then I decided to check the other classrooms as well.

I looked around each and every one of them, looking for some sort of clue, but nothing, nothing but binders laying against the walls, and even some on the desks. But, it was the whiteboards, or in some classes, side chalkboards, that had the weirdest things on them.

They appeared to have something drawn on them, and, I think it was telling a story, but, from what I could tell, much of the chalk and marker lines were erased, it was almost as if someone had purposely tried to erase the drawings. As if someone was trying to hide the story that was on it.

'Or, most likely, erase something important.' I thought to myself, a bit mystified at this discovery. I had checked many of the class rooms to see if there was more that I could learn.

But, each classroom was the same, chalk/marker drawings, with the Zero Unit surrounded by strange markings. And the strangest thing that I had found, was in in one classrooms, I found a crack on the chalkboard, the crack going right down the center of the Zero Unit.

But, seeing that like that, made my heart ache, but, I didn't know why, not only that, but, I felt tears rolling down my face. I brought my hand to my left eye and thought, 'Now, why am I crying? It's just a picture, right?' But, for some reason, that didn't make me feel any better.

I looked at the symbols that surrounded it, and I wanted to say that the symbols looked alot like DigiCode, but, I couldn't confirm it.

'I mean, it's not like I have a translator for ancient digital language that can be translated into Japanese, after all.' I thought to myself both bitterly, and with some hints of humor.

But while most of the classes didn't have anything that stuck out to me, in one class room, I saw something that really stood out to me. On a desk, were a pair of thin, black plastic framed glasses, with clip on sunglasses on them.

I picked them up held them up to my eyes and I thought, 'These look… just like my old pair of glasses from my past life. Sunglasses and all.' I was very shocked from finding my old glasses in the school, then I asked myself, 'But, what are they doing here?' I turned them over several times, almost as if I was trying to break down the glasses down to their very atom.

I then looked around the room, taking note of the class, it only had about, twenty five, to thirty desks, counting the teachers desk, trying to find some kind of clue, but I wasn't seeing anything else that stuck out, then I looked back down at the glasses in my hands.

Then, as I was turning the glasses over in my hands multiple times, I thought, 'Better question is, what am I doing in this school? And, is it real, or what? And the last question is, why are these glasses here?'

I decided that, for no other reason then to be nostalgic, I slowly placed the glasses over my eyes, and just as I put them on my face, to no surprise, my vision didn't change, then, to my amusement, they suddenly fell down to the base of my nose.

I lightly chuckled as I pushed them back up using my middle and pointer fingers, and I sighed happily as I thought, 'Heh, I really hated wearing glasses back then, broke many a pair in my days. Heh, even when my goggles broke, I was kinda hit with Déjà vu. Because I literally broke a pair of glasses the same way. By taking a basket ball to the face. Heh. I guess that sometimes, the past repeats itself.'

I shook my head as I took the glasses off and placed them back on the desk, folded now, and, as I chuckled, I humorously said, "Wow. Who would have thought I would be sentimental about a simple pair of glasses? Not me, that's for sure."

It was then that I had decided that I should stop reminiscing, and start to check out the rest of the school, and there was only one place that I figured would be the best place to start at the search.

I decided to head for the front of the building, and headed back to the main entrance where I saw something that surprised me. Or, should I say, someone.

It was a person, who by the looks of it, was a girl. I was surprised to find someone else inside the school, I chased after her, and called out to her, "Hey!" But she kept moving, "Hey! Wait! Ma'am! Wait, ma'am!" I tried to get the girls attention, but no matter what I did, she just kept on walking, acting like I wasn't even yelling at her.

Then I chased after her, but as I got closer, for some strange reason, I kept getting the strange feeling in the back of my mind, that something about her seemed, or should I say, looked, familiar, but I know that I never met he before.

When I actually got a good look at her, I noticed that she appeared to be around, I want to say, close to, fourteen years old, maybe a year older, or two years younger, I was never good at guessing people's age, still aren't to this day, and I wanted to say that she was about four foot, four inches tall, that was my best guess at her height. She was just an inch taller than Nii-San.

I took note that she was wearing what appeared to be knee high light blue jeans, a light red, shortsleeved shirt with the same Zero Unit design that was on my D-Ark, was on the back of her shirt.

She also had light brown hair that was tied into a pony tail, as well as a pair of light pink Skechers on her feet.

I then noticed that she then appeared to FLOAT down to the lower level of the school, and not only was she floating, but she had this otherworldly glow surrounding her.

It kind of reminded me of a dream that I had after the battle of Highton View Terrance four years ago. A dream about a girl enveloped in a golden light.

'Could she... could she be the same girl? I mean, she could be. But, I highly doubt it. I mean, I was probably hit in the head sometime during that battle, and just suffered some kind of concussion, and that could have led to an hallucination. But, one can never be too sure.' I thought to myself, really doubting my own memories.

'And, I'm guessing that she either doesn't even know I'm here, or is fully aware that I'm here, and wants me to follow her.' I thought to myself, not really knowing what to believe right now.

'This is a really weird dream. I mean, normally, once I become aware of the fact that I'm dreaming, I wake up. I have tried for years to control my dreams, and I always fail. So, what is this?' I thought to myself, my own confusion was driving me nuts, moreso than I already am.

And seeing how she was the only one around, and I was also having a strange feeling like I should know who she is, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Add to that, this strange feeling like I should follow her that had came over me, I decided to continue following her.

And I soon enough, I ended up not the the Schools JROTC or Junior Reserved Officers Training Corps, for those who wanted to know, section of the building.

But, instead of the area that I was most familiar with, with other classrooms leading down to the JROTC class rooms/shooting range, there were instead the halls were filled with an endless amount of doors, each one with different words spelled out on them, filling me with curiosity.

And one such door that really grabbed my attention was labeled as 'Best Friends' which, after being curious long enough, as well as against my better judgement, I decided to open up the door, and saw all of the memories of myself and my friends, and seeing us smile, laugh and just be ourselves almost made me cry.

So before I got to caught up in memories, I quickly closed the door leaned against it, feeling my heart pounding against my chest, and I stopped for a minute as I collected myself and finally realized where I was.

'This…This, can't be! This… this is my Memory Warehouse! This can't be real…Can it?' I thought with shocked realization.

'But, I thought that this only exists in Steven King's Book, Dream Catcher. But, if this my Memory Warehouse, then that might explain a few things, but instead of my memories being sorted as old notes. And the fact that my glasses were on that desk. Those must represent a part of my life that I haven't been willing, or able, to let go, yet.'

I looked at each and every door that I saw, with many and many titles such as, 'Music Hall' most likely holding the songs that I have memorized by heart, and so on and so forth.

That was when I thought, 'It is these doors instead hold my most precious memories, and I bet that if I actually looked through many of my old classrooms books, binders, and folders, I would instead find more memories and what not. And the chalkboards and whiteboards, those must have my random thoughts and ideas written on them. But, that doesn't feel quite right.'

I shook my head and turned to where JROTC was located and thought, 'But that is for another time, I need to find that girl, and I have a feeling that I know where she's going.' I thought with determination.

Then as I stood up, I thought, 'I need to find out more of WHAT this place is, but, after I catch up with that girl. One mystery needs to be answered before I try to ask more questions.' Then, I continued walking towards where the mysterious girl was heading.

As I continued forward, I saw more doors, one made me stop to investigate it more, this door had the words 'Nightmares and Fears' written on it and seemed to be boarded up with chains, and was surrounded by a dark purple, almost black aura, wrapped around the door.

This one door was giving me the chills just by looking at it, and if it held what the sign said it held, it was probably in my best interest that I kept that door locked, tightly. But, as I was walking past it, I could have sworn that I heard a deep, menacing voice say, "Jeremy…San…"

I quickly turned around like I was Sonic the Hedgehog, and looked around for the source of the voice, but there wasn't any other response, finding the chained up door to be creepy enough as it is being in my mind, I thought, 'Okay, I knew that my mind can sometimes be a dark and creepy place, but I don't think it could be dark enough to become a horror movie location.'

Deciding to ignore the dark and haunting voice that had just spoken, I decided that now would probably be a good time to carry on. And so, deciding to make like a tree and leaf, and I carried on with my travel.

But as I passed each door, I realized something, I was not afraid of the fact that I somehow had entered my mindscape, well, besides the above mentioned nightmare door, something that shouldn't be possible, let alone exist, but instead felt as if that I had known of this places' existence all along. 'Heh, I really am a weird kid.' I thought to myself with a light chuckle.

After walking for what felt like forever, passing by more and more 'Memory Doors' taking note of each and every one of them. And then, I saw the girl again, and I still had that strange felling that I had met her before, but WHY did I have this feeling was the big question.

Then I watched as she floated into one of the many, many doors, and I quickly ran towards the door, and found that it was titled, 'The Vault' I found myself a little anxious at seeing the door, not because of it's name, but because of what could be behind the door.

'The Vault' as it's called is a very particular door, while I may not have known that the Memory Warehouse was real, I knew that I had placed many of the memories that held many of my deepest memories. Two, in fact.

The one that held my most negative emotions were buried deep in my mind, but not 'The Vault', no, it was something much deeper, one that I oh so creatively call, 'The Lazarus Pit' not very original and not holding the secrets of immortality or anything, I know, but eh, it's where all the negative emotions and memories are buried.

And the other was 'The Vault'. Anyways, what makes 'The Vault' so special is that it is where I keep a lot of important memories in, ones that I promised to never forget. Why would I know of 'The Vault' exists, because, I knew that the memories that I had that were unforgettable, and that is where I knew they were held.

Now, what I want to know is the big question, why would someone lead me here is beyond me, but I might as well find out.

I decided to find out, and I slowly and carefully reached out for the door knob and slowly turned it, not really knowing what was behind it, then I opened the door, and was blinded by a bright light.

When I finally felt like it was safe, I opened my eyes, and was shocked when I saw that I was in a very familiar room, my bedroom, the very same bedroom that I slept in before I died.

And there, standing in the middle of the room was the same girl who was leading me through my mindscape, still glowing in that ethereal golden glow, who looked up to me, and I saw the strangest thing, her eyes.

Each eye was a different color. Her right eye was light red, but her left eye was a deep sea blue. But, besides the strange two different eye colors, but they seemed, different.

I couldn't tell what was different about this girls eyes, but the look in this girl's eyes held, recognition? And she looked confident, strong, almost, regal. She was holding herself like she was royalty.

But it was the look that gave me the feeling like she somehow knew me, but, how? I saw her smile warmly at me, almost as if she was expecting me to be here, and, to be fair, she did lead me here, after all.

I wanted to get some answers, so I slowly walked towards her and said, "Excuse me for being rude, Madam-San, but who are you?"

But, just before the girl could say anything at all, the room exploded into a bright light, but, before the room erupted in light, I could have sworn that I heard the woman say something to me, "The two of you are destined for many things. You just need to learn to trust one another, and then, only then, will the answers that you have sought, will finally be answered, Jeremy-San."

Hearing my old name shocked me to the core. And then, before anything else could happen, all I saw, was light. And that was why I woke up in the middle of the night, breathing heavily.

I had spent the rest of the night trying to figure out just who the girl was, and why she seemed so familiar. And just what her message had meant.

While she looked a little older then me, it was her voice that greatly confused me, it sounded a lot older, like she was an adult instead of a kid. 'Probably just a random dream, Luke-San.' I told myself, mostly to try to get myself to believe that it was just a dream. 'Keep your head on straight. Or, as your JROTC Colonel would say, keep your head on a swivel stick.' I tried to tell myself, but, what I saw there, just felt way too real to be just a dream.

I was unable to get any kind of information from her, other than her final words, before the room exploded for no apparent reason, 'But why does it feel like I know her? I mean, could it be possible that I have met her before, and that is why she led me to 'The Vault' to get me to remember? I mean, she did call me by my old name, so, that could be it. Or, was it something more? Whatever it was, it sure felt real. And her eyes, seeing them, it just, felt strangely familiar.'

I looked down at my bare feet, gripping the sand with my toes and scooping up the sand with my hand and watching it slowly fall back to the ground that I was sitting on and sighed in exhaustion, trying to get my head out of my dreams for a while.

Then I took another look at my locket, and stared at Kari-Imouto-Chan's kind, gentle smile, seeing this picture caused me to lightly smile, thinking just what the future holds for us. Then I looked at the pictures of Tai-Nii, Okāsan, and Otōsan, and I frowned, 'I have been lying to my whole family all my life. And I can't even gather up the courage to tell them the truth.'

I looked down and sighed sadly as I thought, 'I'm such a coward. I play the part of a fool, mostly because I find it easier playing the role of a kid, instead of someone, who, by all accounts has the mentality of a thirty year old.' *Sigh*

Then I heard the distinctive sound of feet walking across the sand, I turned to look behind me and I saw Dorumon-San coming towards me. I waved to him and softly asked, "Morning, bud. Trouble sleeping?"

But instead of giving me a a straight answer Dorumon-San slowly shook his head, then he softly asked, "I could ask you the same thing, Jeremy-San?"

I looked at Dorumon-San with a small glare, but he gave me a knowing smirk, then I said, "I told you, Doru-San, the name's Lukas-San, Kouki-San, or just Luke-San. Got it memorized?" Finishing off the line by pointing my pointer finger to my head.

Then I blinked a couple of times at hearing what I had just said, then I shook my head while lightly chuckling at how, 'Axel' that was and asked, "But, seriously bud, what are you doing up, Doru-San? It's still a little early."

Dorumon-San looked at me with a serious expression and said, "I don't really know, Luke-San. But I had this strange dream last night."

Now this caused me to raise an eyebrow in a curious manner, then I asked, "Strange how?"

Dorumon-San looked up at me with a strange glance, probably just wondering why I was asking, then he said, "I was walking in a strange building filled with many doors, then I saw a strange looking human girl, around your height, maybe a little taller, I would guess."

This made my eyes widen a bit, and I was in almost complete shock as I thought, 'It...it can't be. He had the same dream that I had. That's not possible. Is it? Well, I guess there's only one way to be sure.' I looked to Dorumon-San and cautiously asked, "This girl, what did she look like? Was there anything you could make out?"

Then Dorumon-San looked at me in a analytical glare, then he said, "I believe that she was wearing light blue pants that stopped at her knees, a light red shirt that stopped short on her arms, and on the back of her shirt was the same Zero Unit symbol on your D-Ark, and she had…"

Then I said, interrupting him, "Light brown hair tied into a pony tail, and light pink shoes and was enveloped in a golden, otherworldly glow, am I right?"

I watched as Dorumon-San's eyes slowly widened and that was the only confirmation that I needed, then I sighed and softly whispered, "I should have known."

I looked towards Dorumon-San, who looked very confused, so I decided to elaborate, and said, "I had the same dream, bud. I may not know what's going on, but I saw the same girl inside the same building, she headed into another part of the building and I followed after her, then I ended up in my old lives room, and I saw her, and I asked who she was, but I didn't get an answer. Not a straight answer, that is."

I could see that my partner was starting to put his own pieces together, if the fact that his eyes were slowly widening as I spoke wasn't evident enough. Then I said, "But that wasn't the strangest part of the dream. The strangest part was that it felt like I was actually inside my own mind, and the thing is, I was."

That seemed to cause Doru-San's eyes to widen by a large margin. "And if you were there, that must mean that you had somehow entered my mind, Dorumon-San. Not to mention, this girl, somehow knew my name, my old name. And she said that the 'two of us are destined for many things.'"

Doru-San then gave me a questionable look, then he asked, "The two of us? What could we be destined for, Luke-San?"

I shook my head and said, "I don't know, bud. I just don't know. Nor do I know who this girl is. But I have this strange feeling, one deep in my gut, that is telling me that we will find out soon enough."

Dorumon-San then looked up at the sky and said, "Well, whatever it is, we can take it, can't we Luke-San?"

I then leaned back and silently nodded, and watched at the beauty that is the Digital World's beautiful sunrise, with Dorumon-San sitting right next to me. Not a word between us was spoken. Just peace and quite.

Then, presumably, an hour later, everyone was up, and I looked around and asked, "Well, is everyone ready to head out?"

Mimi-San, the ever complainer, wined and asked, "Aw! Can't we just stay here, please?"

Joe-San nodded, possibly still in the the 'craw into a hole and hide mentality, and said, "I agree. If there was ever a place for us to stay, it would be here."

Matt-San looked like he was going to say something when I decided to speak up and said, "Guys, look, I don't want to that guy, and sound like a jerk, but, we can't just stay here."

Joe-San looked at me and asked, "And why not, Luke-San? Sure, the food isn't the best, but here we have a place to relax, a source of water, and, now that Meramon-San has been returned to normal, there isn't any threats trying to do us harm. So, why can't we stay here?"

I sighed, both in annoyance, and in exhaustion. I knew that Joe-San would put up a fight, but I was prepared for it. "Well, for one thing, the heat is killing me. While this is a good place to rest, it's a terrible place to stay. While the locals are nice, we still need to try to find our way out of here, remember?"

I was starting to that people were seeing the logic in my suggestions, and so, I decided to finish with, "And two, we should keep moving, that way we could at least hope to have a chance to find some kind of humans, and possibly get the heck back home."

Izzy-San nodded, seeing the logic in my explanation and said, "He's right. While it was wise for us to stay here for the night, it is not the best place for us to stay."

Tai-Nii nodded in agreement and said, "Well then, you heard the man, let's get going!"

I nodded and started walking forward with the others following me and Dorumon-San, and an hour after we left Yokomon Village, we had arrived at a very familiar area when Sora-San looked around, until she noticed a familiar looking tree, then she said, "I'm sure that we've passed this place before."

Then Joe-San gripped his head in worry as he exclaimed, "You mean that we've walked around the whole planet!?"

Mimi-San then fell to the ground and said, "That just can't be. I can't walk that far, can I? I'm so tired."

That was when TK-San fell to the ground and in a exhausted voice, said, "My feet are hot!"

Matt-San took notice of the group then said, "Looks like we're taking a break."

Sora-San leaned against a tree and sighed in defeat as she said, "Well, it's not like we have some place to be."

I rolled my eyes and thought, 'Yeah, because we are already in the world we need to be.' I wasn't really worried, per se, just a little anxious about what was to come.

Tai-Nii looked over to his secret crush, well secret to all but me, and said, "I guess you're right. There's no reason to hurry."

Then I sat down to catch my breath and said, "Yeah, I guess not." But I thought, 'Well, let's see, first we had Kuwagamon-Teme, then later on that same day, we had to deal with Shellmon-Baka, then Seadramon-Teme, and yesterday we had to deal with Meramon-San. So, if everything goes according to how the series went, then, that would mean that, Andromon-San is next. Wonderful.' That last thought was full of nothing but sarcasm.

Then I, before my thoughts headed into an even deeper, and more confusing places then the Kingdom Hearts lore, fused together with the Five Nights At Freddy's convoluted plot, I heard Matt-San say, "Hey, check out Izzy-San. I bet he's trying to e-mail the aliens."

I turned and saw the little genius was sitting underneath a tree looking at his computer with a tired look in his eyes, or it could be annoyance, can't tell the difference with the guy sometimes.

Then I heard Tai-Nii lightly chuckle as he said, "Maybe he's asking them to beam him up."

I scoffed at my Nii-San's joke and thought, 'What a hypocrite.' Then I turned to him, with my arms folded and I said, "Seriously, Nii-San?"

Said Ani looked at me with a confused expression and he asked, "What?"

I folded my arms and said, "You complain when I start to nerd out, but you just made a Star Trek reference. So, are you being a hypocrite now?"

Tai-Nii took a step back and stammered, "Huh, but I, uh, but you, uh…"

I rolled my eyes as I shook my head and said, "If you are going to make references to movies like that, then there is no reason why I can't nerd out every once and a while, Taichi-Nii-San."

Boy, was Nii-San taken a back by this, mostly because neither I, nor the rest of the family actually call Nii-San by his full name anymore, probably because he found the name a bit, childish, then he said, "Hey! Don't use my full name, Otouto! Or do do you want me to call you Kouki-Otouto?"

I shrugged, not really bothered by my full name, and to prove it, I simply said, "Ehe. So, at least my name means 'good luck and brightness.' Yours is the name of a fighting style." I lightly laughed at the thought and said, "And boy, does it fit."

Then Sora-San seemed to have been surprised by this, then she looked up at me and said, "Hey, I didn't know that your real name was Kouki, Luke-San."

I nodded, completely forgetting that I had started going by Luke a year before the Greymon-Teme fight, and I had met Sora-San sometime after that, I looked towards the girl who my Ani was crushing on, and said, "It is, but I've been going by Luke-San since I was five years old, mostly because I like to keep things simple."

Everyone seemed to nod at that, mostly because most of us went by nicknames, Taichi went by Tai, Takeru Takaishi went by TK, Yamato went by Matt, Izumi Koushiro went by Izzy, and Hikari-Chan went by Kari.

All of us, well, most of us, didn't use our full names anymore, the only ones who isn't going by a nickname is Mimi-San, Sora-San, and Joe-San. And the reason, I think, that is because, deep down, all of us subconsciously remember the Greymon fight, and most of us wanted to leave our past behind us.

Then we all heard Izzy-San sigh in disappointment and say, "Still crashed and the warranty's expired."

Then we all watched as Tai-Nii ran up to him and took the laptop and started beating it and said, "Hey, Izzy-San, I know how to get it to boot up. You just got to give it a couple of subtle adjustments."

Izzy-San then took the laptop and said, "Hey, quit it! Are your brain cells malfunctioning?"

Then Tai-San exhaled in annoyance and as he folded his arms, he said, "Gosh, your acting like I'm hurtin' the dumb thing."

Then I watched as Sora-San placed her hands on her hips and said, "Too bad your brain isn't as big as your hair, Tai-Baka. Maybe Izzy-San doesn't want grimy fingerprints and dents all over his computer."

I nodded, sometimes wishing that my Nii-San wasn't a complete baka all the time, and I said, "No wonder your name is Taichi, Nii-San."

Tai-Nii ran up to me and with an annoyed smirk on his face, but a slight twitch in his eyes, and he asked, "Oh, yeah, and what does that mean, Otouto?"

I smirked back, Tai-Nii wasn't very creative when it came to comebacks, but I've had years to perfect my skills and I matched his glare, with a victorious smirk as I said, "Every time there's a problem, you always think that the best course of action is to use your fists, and beat the snot out of the problem."

Tai-Nii tried to come up with a counter argument, but then I sighed and said with a serious tone, "Look, Nii-San, if you really want to be of help, go scout out the area while we rest for a bit, k?"

Tai-Nii looked like he wanted to argue, but he nodded and looked over to his right and gasped, I looked over and saw tones of smoke, then I said, "Go and check that out while we take a rest."

Tai-Nii nodded, then he turned to his partner and said, "Will do. C'mon, Agumon-San, let's go."

Agumon-San nodded at my Nii-San and, just like that, the two were off. I sighed and sat down, pulling out my notebook and began writing as I thought, 'Nii-San seven, Luke-San nine, Kari-Chan, fourteen.'

I lightly chuckled at how the score has risen once again. 'I'm catching up, Imouto.' I shook my head, then I said, "Man, sometimes I wonder which one of us is the older brother." Irony not lost on me.

Then I heard Sora-San ask, "How did you do that, Luke-San?"

I looked up at Sora-San, and being slightly confused, I asked, "Do what, Sora-San?"

That was when Matt-San then pointed to the area that I had just sent my Nii-San to and said, "Get Tai-Baka to listen to you?"

I looked back at the smoke pillars, and said, "Oh, that? Well, trust me, Tai-Nii may seem like he doesn't care about people, but he just has a hard time understanding others, all he really wants to do is help others. Trust me, once you get past what I call his 'Goggled-Headed nature' you will be able to see that he's really a kind and caring kid. And having him listen to me, I simply used his kind nature to get him to give us some rest."

Matt-San seemed to be surprised at my idea and then he whistled and he said, "Wow, that's, actually really clever, Luke-San. I guess that 'Brightness' that your name means is the brilliance kind, huh?"

I lightly chuckled and shook my head, realizing that, what Matt-San was saying, was indeed true. Then I looked up to the DigiDestined of Friendship and said, "Yeah, I guess so." Then I remembered what had happened to Izzy-San, and I turned to him and asked, "By the way, Izzy-San, is your computer okay?"

I didn't get an instant respons, so I turned to Izzy-San, who continued to type on his computer, which I guessed that was a yes, when I heard a slight, 'ding' then I walked up to him and he said, "Ahhh. We got graphics. We got sound. Beautiful! Up and running!"

I smiled at Izzy-San's joy and began to walk up to him and I said, "That's great to hear, Izzy-San!" But then I noticed something and said, "Huh? But it looks like what it doesn't have, is power."

Izzy-San looked up at me in confusion, and he asked, "Huh? What do you mean, Luke-San?" I silently pointed to the battery life indicator, which he looked to and said, "It's indicating that the battery needs recharging. That's odd."

I sighed and rubbed a hand through my hair and asked, "And where are we going to find an outlet out here in the middle of nowhere?"

Then, as if my question was destined to be answered, or just some pretty good timing, I heard Tai-Nii yell out, "Hey, everybody, get over here quick!"

I looked over and said, "Well, it sounds like Nii-San had found something, let's get going!" Everyone nodded and we rushed towards where I sent Tai-Nii, and I can honestly say that I'm surprised at what we were looking at. "It's some kind of factory."

Dorumon-San nodded, but not in agreement, just in a way that said, 'obviously' but that jokesters smirk on his face told me to run to the hills, and then he asked, "Yeah. Seems that way. But, what's it for? Well, besides for looking like a sight for an old abandoned horror movie location?"

We all looked at Dorumon-San in slight shock/surprise, then I said, "Okay, Dorumon-San, I have no idea how you know so much about our world, but, can you please not make us paranoid, at least not right now." I swear, sometimes, Doru-San's knowledge of the human world is scary, and it's not only that, it's that he said the very thing that I was saying.

Then I turned to my partner and, with a joking smile, I said, "Please wait until we actually get inside the factory before you decide to make us want to start looking over our shoulders every five seconds?"

Doru-San matched my smirk and he said, "Oh, okay, Luke-San, I'll wait. For now." And there it was, the smirk that told me that it was time to run as fast as my feet could go and never look back.

Then I shook my head and said, "I swear, Dorumon-San, you're going to be the death of me, I just know it." Dorumon-San looked like he was gonna retort, but a quick glare told him not to speak.

Then Matt-San scoffed, possibly at the way me and Dorumon-San can just play jokes at a time like this, then he said, "Whatever it's for, let's hope that they can manufacture us a way home."

I shrugged, not really caring if people take my jokes serious or not, then I threw my sunglasses over my eyes and I said, "Well, there's only one way to find out. Let's get going." Then I jumped and jumped down and started sliding down the hill, a crazy smile plastered on my face as I felt the sand beneath my sneakers as I slid down the mountain.

But, once I came to a stop at the base, that was when I heard Tai-Nii yell, "Kouki-Otouto! What are you doing?"

I looked up to where Tai-Nii and the others were and I gave Nii-San a smirk, but, not just any smirk, my fox like jokester smirk and said, "What does it look like I'm doing, Nii-Chan? I'm checking this place out!"

"By sliding down a hill without checking to see if there's another way?" Tai-Nii yelled out, but I could almost make out the twitching in his eyes, showing his annoyance.

'Good. 'Bout time he felt the same annoyance that I did when he called me 'Chan.'' I thought to myself.

Then I chuckled and waved my hand as I said, "And what would you do, Nii-San?" When Tai-Nii didn't say anything I replied with, "Yeah, that's what I thought, Tai-Nii!"

Then I heard Dorumon-San say, "Wait for me, Luke-San!" I turned back and saw Dorumon-San sliding down the hill, and soon everyone else was doing the same thing.

After everyone finished sliding down the hill, Joe-San asked, "I wonder what they make in here?"

Everyone shrugged, not really knowing ourselves, then we heard Mimi-San say, "I don't know. But wouldn't it be great if there's a manufacturer's outlet store? They always have killer deals."

I sighed, not really impressed with Mimi-San's worry over clothes, then I turned to her and said, "Mimi-San, this is a factory, not a shopping mall. I highly doubt that we'll find anything to buy in here."

Matt-San nodded, both agreeing with me, and want to get away from Mimi-San's desire to talk about clothing and said, "He's right, let's just go and see if we can find a way out of here."

We all nodded then we headed into the factory. But each step we took, just sent chills down my spine. Then Matt-San, who was looking at the factory, being very confused at something, then he said, "Don't ask me how, but there doesn't seem to be anybody here."

I shivered, almost as if I could feel a chill in the air, and, deciding to announce my uncomfortable feeling, I said, "Does anybody else get the feeling that something is… off about this place?" I was telling you, I did not feel comfortable enough in this place to even take out my notebook.

But, Mimi-San, the ever oblivious member of our group, nodded, then she whined, "Yeah, there's no sign of a clothing department in here."

The rest of us sweatdropped and, in a voice that I was trying to keep my sarcasm out of my voice, as well as hold back the urge to face palm, I turned to Mimi-San and said, "No, Mimi-San, not that." I rubbed my head, honestly, sometimes I wonder whether or not it is even worth my sanity to even pay attention to Mimi-San's nonsense anymore.

I sighed, trying not to sound annoyed as I said, "What I mean is that, even though this entire factory is running without even a small hiccup, no sight of a flaw or delay, there is no one here to run the machines. It just feels, off to me." I watched as Dorumon-San sniffed the air and he nodded in agreement.

Then Sora-San looked around at the devices that were busy building something, and she rubbed her arms, and said, "There's got to be someone running the equipment."

Then Izzy-San pushed his glasses up his nose and said, "Well, I don't really know. If there was someone here, we should have seen them by now. And besides it appears to be doing quite well all by itself."

Then as we were walking through the factory, I thought, 'This is very strange. No factory should be this empty.' But, as I was walking through the factory, taking note of the pale grey colored metallic walls, on a random slab of wall, there was an image that stuck out to me. Or, to be more accurate, an image that just, caught me by surprise.

It looked to be an image of a polyhedron shape, with a human like being sitting on top of it, with ten symbols circling it. it took me a while, but I finally recognised the symbols, and I thought, 'I know these symbols.' The first one I recognised was a symbol thar looked like an upside down 'Y' with bars, one on each side of the line. 'That symbol is fire.'

The next symbol I recognised was a single line, with two 'hook like' markings facing in the opposite direction of the line, and a diagonal line sitting on top of the center line, 'And that one is ice' The third was a circle with dot in the center, and, what looked to be an ancient gate marking sitting on top of it. 'Lightning.'

Each symbol I quickly recognised. 'Wind, light, darkness, water, wood, that is earth, and that one is steel.' Then, my eyes widened in shock at what it was I had just discovered.

'This is, the legend of the ten warriors. And, from what the being on that shape, I can only guess that this tale is about how they defeated Apoclamon. And sealed him behind that firewall. But, why is it here?'

But, before I could try to take a guess at what this could actually mean, I heard Joe-San said in a scared voice, "Maybe this factory is run by ghosts!"

Now, hearing this, added to the creepy vibe in the building, caused me to I shiver and I said, "Please don't say ghosts, Joe-San. We have enough problems to deal with. And I really don't want to have to deal with ghosts right now." I was hugging my arms, feeling a slight, chill, in the air.

Matt-San looked at me with slight interest and asked, "You're afraid of ghosts, Luke-San?"

I looked up and shook my head, while trying to chuckle just a small bit and I replied with, "Not really, it's more like, I just think that being in a large empty factory, with not a single soul around, yet the factory being fully operational, the last thing you want to think about are ghosts being 'round here. That is all." Really. Me, being afraid of ghosts? How old does Matt-San think I am? Five?

'Oh, right, nineteen year old mind, inside the body of a ten year old. Man, my life is complicated.' I thought to myself, almost forgetting my own past.

But Matt-San seemed to think about my words for a while, then he nodded and he finally said, "That makes sense."

I nodded and said, "Yeah, it does." Deciding to keep the train moving, I waved my hand forward and said, "Well, come on, let's keep moving." Then we all kept walking through the factory, where we saw machines building strange devices, only to be taken apart again. But my thoughts were still on the legend of the past.

Then, before I could be drawn into my thoughts, it was TK-San, who was slightly intrigued by the machines, and he turned to his Nii-San and asked, "Matt-Onii, what are these machines making anyway?"

Matt-San looked down towards his Otouto, and shrugged, not really knowing himself, then he said, "You got me. Maybe parts for a robot or a spaceship."

Then Joe-San slammed his fist into his palm as he said, "Somebody's gotta be movin' those belts. And people gotta eat, so is there a cafeteria in this place, 'cause we can really use a good meal right about now."

I softly chuckled, and walked until we reached a split in the path, then Tai-Nii looked at me and he asked, "Which way should we go?"

When no one said anything, probably thinking of what they were going to do, I snapped my fingers, getting everyones attention and I said, "I have an idea." Everyone looked at me with a raised eyebrow, then I said, "How about we cover more distance if we split up?"

Everyone gave me a confused look then I said, "Look, we can cover more ground if we split up, and here's how we do it. Nii-San, why don't you, Joe-San, Sora-San and your Digimon take the right path, while the rest of us takes the left path. Does that seem fine?"

Everyone looked at each other and shared a nod, then Matt-San said, "That seems logical. All right crew, let's split up and search for clues!"

I sweatdropped and thought, 'Am I sure that these are the same kids who took down VenomMyotismon-Baka?' Then we all split up and went down our assigned paths.

After a while we came to a door marked 'Power Supply' written across it. Then Patamon-San took a long look at the door, then he said, "I say we go inside and have a look around."

I nodded, agreeing with the small hedgehog and said, "I agree with Patamon-San."

When Matt-San opened the door we were shocked at what was inside. It was a massive industrial sized battery with 'E-3557' written across the side. Then Izzy-San seemed to have entered his ultra dork mode, and he said, "Whoa, digits! A battery that size could run my computer forever! I wonder if there's a way to access it's power."

I chuckled and said, "Figures. That's Izzy-San for ya. Once he finds something he can go all techno on, he's in his own little world." We all watched as Izzy-San tried to find a way to gain access to the jumbo sized battery.

Then Matt-San, being curious about Izzy-San's strange attitude, asked, "What are you doing, Izzy-San?"

Izzy-San, not even looking away from the giant battery, replied with, "I'm trying to tap into this power source. If I can get this baby to fire up, then we can use my computer to get some help."

As Izzy-San continued to try to get the battery to work, I looked to the others and said, "You guys go on ahead. I fear that we're not going to be leaving for a long, long time."

Takeru-San looked up at me in confusion and asked, "Are you sure, Luke-San?"

I gave the young Takaishi a small smile and said, "Don't worry, TK-San. I have Dorumon-San with me, so, I have nothing to be concerned about."

But Matt-San, who was still a little skeptical looked at me with a raised eyebrow and he said, "I'm not sure."

I folded my arms and said, "Yamato-San, I assure you, I can take care of myself, go and do some more searching, after all someone needs to keep an eye on Izzy-San, and make sure he doesn't do something insane, like build a UFO or something like that."

Matt-San chuckled, obviously seeing the fact that I was making a joke was trying and said, "Okay, but if I see a giant alien spaceship flying out of this place, I'm blaming you."

I chuckled lightly, but also waving my hand dismissively, and I said, "Yeah, yeah, I understand. And I'll be sure to pick you guys up if we do build one, so we can all leave in style. See you later." Then Matt-San, TK-San, Mimi-San and their partners left the room, leaving only me, Izzy-San, Tentomon-San and Doru-San, alone inside a giant battery.

While Izzy-San was trying to find a way inside the battery, I was busy writing down the DigiCode that I see. After a while I heard Izzy-San exclaim in success, I looked up and heard Izzy-San say, "Aha! I've located an access panel to the interior operations."

I stood up and said, "Great job, Izzy-San." I then ran up to him to help move the large grey door shaped plate and when we looked inside, we were surprised to see Digicode. The very language of the Digital World. Sad to say, that I had no idea what any of it said.

Then I heard Tentomon-San ask, "What exactly do you think this is?" Looking at the Digicode written all over the jumbo sized battery.

Then, as Izzy-San looked all around at the DigiCode, then, with that calculated tone in his voice, looked at Tentomon-San and said, "These markings are binary annotations of some sort. A computer program."

Then I raised an eyebrow at the young genius and asked, "You think you can crack this code, Izzy-San?"

Izzy-San didn't answer me right away, and instead, he walked up to one of the walls that had the Digicode written on it and chuckled and said, "It's a very complicated program, indeed. It could take me a while just to decode what even one of these codes means."

I chuckled and looked up, "It looks like this entire battery is chocked full of this strange program." I then watched as Izzy-San accidentally erased part of the code, making all of the lights go out. Then I lightly laughed and said, "Great job, Izzy-San, you cut the power."

To which Izzy-San awkwardly chuckled and said, "My bad." Izzy-San then started typing on his computer and said, "That was a smooth move Izzy-San." Clearly Izzy-San has a habit of talking in the third person as well.

Then I watched as he raised his finger in the air, and drew a line sideways, possibly crossing off an idea off of an invisible list. Then he said, "I can scratch that theory off the list. Could it be possible that I deleted the wrong program?"

Then Tentomon-San turned to his partner and said, "I think that is a distinct possibility, Izzy-San."

I then noticed a light red glowing coming from behind me, I turned around and saw that it was coming from Dorumon-San's gem like object on his head. I then asked, "Hey, I didn't know that your gem glows, Dorumon-San?"

Dorumon-San looked at the gem in a curious expression and he said, "Neither did I, Luke-San, neither did I."

Then I turned to Izzy-San, deciding to suggest something and said, "Hey, Izzy-San. Think you can undo your accidental deletion, please?"

We all watched as Izzy-San nodded and said, "Capital idea!" Izzy-San then took out a black marker, possibly a Sharpie, out from...somewhere, and said, "Now then, lets see here, a stroke of metallic paint right here." Then Izzy-San used his marker and replaced the marking that he had erased.

And right after Izzy-San undid his deletion, the whole place lit up like a christmas tree! Then Izzy-San cheered, "Voila!"

Then I smiled at seeing Izzy-San work his magic and said, "Great job, Izzy-San!"

Then Izzy-San sat back down and started typing on his computer and said, "That's rather mysterious."

I shook my head and thought, 'In this place, it's nothing special.' I then looked over my shoulder and saw one of the Digicode' glowing, it looked like and upside down 'V' with a 'W' sitting on top of it, and two lines coming out of the center point of the 'W', but what surprised me was that the code changed, it was now in the shape of the Zero Unit, and it was glowing bright red.

Now, I don't know why, but there was something about the symbol that seemed to draw me into it. Then, I raised my arm and I touched the Zero Unit, and the whole area became enveloped in a blinding bright green light.

When the light died down, and it was safe to open my eyes again, I saw that I was no longer in the massive battery, and instead standing in my old room, I sarcastically said, "I guess that I'm in my own head again. Wonderful."

I looked around and saw that it appeared to be empty, besides a couple of empty books and my bed, I then looked to my old bed and saw the girl from my dream sleeping on it. 'It's that girl again! What is she doing here?'

I looked down at the girl, and for some reason, I had a feeling that there was something, different about the sleeping girl. I was deciding whether or not I wanted to risk disturb the sleeping girl or not. But, risk of losing an important body part ignored, my need for answers was too strong to ignore.

Wanting some answers, I decided to approach the girl, cautiously, and carefully, I gently shook her awake while softly saying, "Excuse me, O jō-San? O jō-San? Hello?" I didn't raise my voice because I didn't want to startle her.

The girl's eyes started to flutter open and I noticed her two different colored eyes. And now that I saw them, I could tell that she still had the same colors as the last time I had seen her, although, I don't know why I was expecting them to be different.

Her left eye was a deep sea blue, while her right eye was light ruby shade of red. She looked at me and shot straight up, with her eyes widening in shock. And me, being cautious, took a few steps back, just to give her space to breath, and not seem like a creep or weirdo.

Then she took up a slight defensive stance, with both her hands tightly closed into fists, but I could tell by the way her hands shook, that she herself was nervous, then she asked, "Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here?!"

The first thing I had noticed was the tone in her voice. It wasn't the same strong confident tone that I had heard earlier today. Nor did it seem like it belonged to an older women, this voice seemed more like a young girl, but it wasn't the high pitched 'kawaii' tone of voice that would be given to young children.

It more or less sounded like, Cynder from the Legend Of Spyro series, but more gentle. But that was the best comparison that I could make. The second thing I noticed was how she held herself.

It was not like how she was before, instead of the confidence and regal girl that I had saw before, this girl was obviously frightened, and almost looked like a kid staring down a ferocious lion. Her fists tightened into balls, looking almost like she's gonna make her hands bleed from her nails.

But, despite all the fear that she had in her eyes, I had to give this girl credit, while it was obvious that she was scared, she was able to hide it very well, but, when it comes to me, who has been a master at hiding my own emotions, I learned how to read people just by looking into someone's eyes.

The eyes are a window into ones soul, after all. But, knowing that if I was ever going to get anywhere, I had to calm this girl down enough that we can have some kind of conversation.

Then, to get her to calm down, I waved my hands in a surrendering motion and said in the calmest voice I could muster, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy, easy. I'm not going to hurt you! Okay? Just calm down and relax, Okay? I'm not going to hurt you. I promise you. You have my word."

The girl didn't seem to believe me at first, and to be honest, it kind of scared me, the look on her face, the fear that was in her eyes, it just seemed like something that didn't belong on this girls face, then, I decided to try to make this girl believe that I'm not going to hurt her.

I looked at the young girl and softly smiled as I said, "Look, you have no reason to fear me, I am a boy of my word, if I make you a promise, I will keep it, until the very end. And so, I promise you, I will not hurt you, mark my words."

I looked at the girl, fear still in her eyes, and, just when it seemed like she wasn't believing me, she looked into my eyes and asked, "You promise? On your very word?"

I brought my right fist to my chest and I said, "While I don't always make these kind of promises, when I do make one, I will never brake that promise. For doing so, would go against my very moral compass. I never make promises if I know I could never be able to keep them. So, you have my very word, I would never hurt you, this, I swear to you."

And, just when I think that she wouldn't believe me, I then watched as she began to relax a bit, and let her fists loosen and fall to her sides, then she pointed furiously at me and said in a demanding tone, "Explain to me who you are and where I am, now!'

I wasn't surprised at her tone in voice, after all, if I was in her shoes, I would be demanding the same thing. Then I said, "My name is Lukas 'Kouki' Kamiya, but everyone just calls me Luke-San. And while I can't be too certain where 'here' is I do believe that we are somewhere in my mind. How you got here, I wish I can explain. And I'm just letting you know, that I didn't bring you here. I swear. Now, how about you? What is your name?"

The girl looked down at herself and didn't say anything for a while, then she gripped her head, and I thought she just had a headache, but it was when I saw tears run down her face, and heard as she sadly stuttered, "I...I, I don't know."

My eyes widened in shock and asked, "You mean, you can't remember?"

The girl nodded and grabbed her head and softly said, "It's all a blur, who am I? What is my name? Please someone, just tell me." The girl looked like she was breaking down, and was losing all that confidence that she previously had.

"You mean, you don't know your own name?" I asked, my voice filled with sympathy, and concern. The girl nodded sadly and looked like she was about to start crying. 'Anata wa watashi o karakatte iru hitsuyō ga arimasu.' I thought to myself.

I couldn't believe what was happening here. Out of all the other problems that I have, I now have an amnesiac girl in my head. I watched her as she was trying her best to control her emotions and tried not to cry, this really pulled at my heart, I couldn't take it any more, so I slowly approached her and sat down on the bed next to her and wrapped my arms around her in a comforting way.

At first she stiffened at the sudden embrace, but when she looked up into my eyes, I simply smiled, but didn't say anything, showing that I was trying to sooth her.

This caused her to lean into my chest, and I watched as she started sniffling, trying to hold back her tears. Seeing this young girl, who I had only just met, have a breakdown like this tore at my heartstrings.

I decided to so the only thing I felt was right, I then started humming in a soft and sweet tone, which then caused her to finally let go and finally start crying.

I looked down at this poor girl, then thought, 'Poor girl, that bravado from earlier was fake, she seems like a kind girl, but she is completely broken. Not at all like the girl from before. Could the two even have been the same person, or, what?'

The look on her face was hard to look at without wanting to start crying myself. Yes, I may act like a crazy, slightly psychotic, and happy-go-lucky kid, if there was one thing that I just hated seeing, was people crying.

Then, as I finished humming Blue Bayou, I looked down at the girl in my arms, who was one second away from crying, I spoke, in a soft voice that I didn't know I had, I said, "It's okay, it's okay. Let it out. You don't have to bottle it up anymore."

After I said that, I softly rubbed the back of girls head, and that was when she finally broke down completely, and fully let go of her bravado and started crying, while I was hugging her tightly, it really made her feel for this girl. I then started humming again, this time an old song, Blue Bayou, this seemed to make her calm down a bit.

Then after I finished humming, I looked down at the girl to see that her eyes were closed, with tears were still streaming down her face, but she seemed to be smiling, and it seemed that she found comfort on my chest, that was a good sign. But I was also blushing very lightly, you would too if you had a girl snuggling into your chest.

Then the girl slowly started to sit up, then she rubbed her eyes and sniffed and rubbed nose and looked down in embarrassment and said, "I'm, I'm sorry about that, I really shouldn't have acted like that."

I lightly smiled to show I wasn't offended and shook my head and said, "You shouldn't apologise, it is understandable with you waking up with amnesia, and not knowing who you are. But, how about we give you a name, just so I have something to call you? Would that be alright with you?"

The girl lightly blushed and said, "Really?" I gave her my my most sincere smile and nodded, then she asked, "What would you suggest, Lukas-San?"

I thought about it for a while, then I said, "How about, Olette?"

The girl looked at me in curiosity and asked, "Olette?"

I nodded with a small smile and said, "Yeah, it means 'small winged one'. So, how does it sound?"

The girl looked down at herself, then she looked straight at me with a large smile that looked like it could put the sun itself to shame and said, "I like it!"

This caused me to smile brightly, then I stood up and turned to her and said, "Well, Olette-San, it is a pleasure to meet you!" I stretched out my hand to her.

The girl, newly christened 'Olette' took my hand as I pulled her up and said, "Thank you, Lukas-San, and I want to say that it is a pleasure to meet you as well. I am sorry for how I reacted earlier."

I waved it off and said, "It's no big deal, Olette-San. I can understand where you're coming from."

Olette-San lightly blushed and started to twirling her hair between her fingers then I looked around at my old room, looking back at the past I had to say goodbye to, then I turned to Olette-San and asked, "Olette-San, I know you may not be able to answer this but, how did you get here?"

Olette-San looked down at her hands and she shook her head and slowly said, "I, I don't remember."

I sighed sadly, already knowing the answer, then I thought, 'Kuso. Figures. should have known.' I then asked, "Is there anything you do remember?"

Olette-San shook her head and looked down at her hands and said, "No. It's all a blank. All I remember is a bright light and then, I'm waking up here, everything is all a blur."

I sighed in slight annoyance at the fact that now I have an amnesiac girl living inside my head, along with everything else in my messed up life, this just makes my day. But I couldn't blame this girl for not knowing how she got here, or who she is/was, because that just wouldn't be me.

I sighed and said, "Listen, Olette-San, I am gonna try to explain what I know, and I want you to just listen while I tell you, and if you have questions, just wait until after I'm finished explaining, then you can ask your questions and I will try my best to answer them, okay?" I received a nod from Olette-San then I sighed, getting ready to tell this long tale. Then, I starting explaining what's going on around here.

After a long and crazy story, one that I didn't even know why I was telling, probably because I felt like she deserved to know the truth, then I said, "And then I saw one of those Digicodes change into the Zero Unit, and I ended up here, and, well, you know the rest. Does that help at all?" I asked, even though I knew that it didn't.

Olette-San didn't say anything right away, but I could still see hints of tears streaming down her face, then she sighed and said in a tone that seemed full of understanding, "You must have gone through a lot, losing your life in a car accident, having to say goodbye to your family, only to be brought back here, into this world, not knowing what to do, who to tell or who to trust."

The words that Olette-San was speaking, really hit home for me, and basically was the simplified version of my story, then she said, "That must be a heavy burden you have resting on your shoulders, Lukas-San. You have such a tragic past, but I can't even remember my own name."

I rubbed the back of my head in embarrassment at the way Olette-San had basically summed up my life in a single sentence, something I could never be able to do, then I looked down at my hands and sighed and said, "Yes, it is a heavy burden to bare, Olette-San, but if it means being able to try to do the right thing, I will do whatever it takes to protect my friends and family, that includes you, Olette-San."

Olette-San's eyes widened in surprise and she asked, "You, you think think of me as a friend, Lukas-San?"

I nodded, showing Olette-San that I did, in fact think of her as a friend, then said, "I do, even though we have only just met, I promise you that you will always be my friend, and I will always protect you. That is a promise!" I gave Olette-San an reassuring smile, and a small hug.

Olette-San stiffened in surprise, but then I saw her smile and she hugged me back, which seemed to make me smile even brighter for a reason I couldn't understand, then she said, "I may not know what I am even doing here, but I promise you that I will always be there for you if you need it, Lukas-San. And I will try to help you find the answers that you seek."

I gave her a grateful smile and said, "Thanks, Olette-San, that means a lot to me. and I promise you, that I will help you regain all of your memories, and help you remember who you are, no matter what. That is my promise." I stood up and stretched my arms and said, "Well, I should get back to my body, but don't think this is a goodbye, you are now living in my head, just speak to me and I will hear you, understand?"

Olette-San seemed to become sad at hearing this, but she knew that I would never leave her, then she smiled and nodded and said, "You got it, Lukas-San."

I smiled brightly at the young girl and said, "Well, it was very nice meeting you, Olette-San, and I promise you, I will help you remember who you are, you can count on me." I extended my hand to her.

She looked up at me with a reassuring smile and she said, "Lukas-San, even if I don't get my memories back, I just want to say that, meeting you, and having you give me a name to call myself, was one of, if not, the most happiest days of my life, thank you. And I promise that I will help you find out your reasons for being here, you can count on me." That one comment made made me blush, but I was able to cover it up.

Then she then took my hand, and we each smiled as we shook each others hands, both promising to help one another, me helping Olette-San remember her past, and Olette-San helping me understand my future, then the room was engulfed in light, and the next thing I know, I'm back inside the battery, but it looks like not even a second had gone by.

And before the thoughts that I was just hallucinating caused by my lack of sleep came to mind, I heard Olette-San's voice call out, "Lukas-San? Lukas-San, can you hear me?"

I smiled at hearing Olette-San's voice, letting me know that it wasn't a dream or hallucination, then I thought, 'Loud and clear, Olette-San. Loud and clear.'

Then, before we could continue our talk, we heard Izzy-San said, "That's rather mysterious." Getting me back into the conversation.

Then Tentomon-San turned to his partner and asked, "And just what is so mysterious it?"

Then Izzy-San pointed towards the DigiCode and said, "Well, you see, batteries are driven by an acidic chemical reaction which generates a current. This one produces it's own current independently."

I felt Olette-San rub her head in confusion and asked, "Does this, Izzy-San, always talk like this? Lukas-San?"

I mentally nodded and thought, 'Yes. But don't worry, you get used to it after a while.'

"I sure hope so." Olette-San replied being confused by Izzy-San's techno talk. And, honestly, I was lost as well.

I chuckled then turned to Izzy-San and asked, "And what does that mean to the ones who didn't major in engineering?"

Izzy-San didn't even look up from his computer, but just replied with, "Just give me a nano here."

Then Dorumon-San laid down and he said, "We'll give you three."

Izzy-San then started typing rapidly on his computer then he said, "If I can decode this particular program, then I can trace its base functions and figure a way out of here."

I smiled at and said, "That's excellent, Izzy-San! Let us know when you got it cracked!" I then looked at the Digicode when I noticed something, and thought, 'Hey, Olette-San, is it me, or are the DIgicodes starting to make sense now?'

Now, at first Olette-San didn't say anything, but then I heard her voice say, "You're right, Lukas-San. It does seem that the Digicode has begun to be deciphered, strange."

After a while me and Olette-San decided on taking notes from the Digicode, with me taking out my notebook, the blank one, and started drawing the symbols, and writing the translations, and Olette-San was writing down the translations using her own notes.

Now, some of them meant nothing, just random words like 'Power' 'Lights' and all that mumbo jumbo, stuff that would be in a computer, but we still kept on looking around. But, there was one that really caught my attention. 'One born from darkness, one born from light, destined to walk the eternal road together, alone all is lost, but together...'

I blinked several times and thought, 'That's it? Really?' And I wasn't lying, what looked to be a prophecy, or warning, just cut off, well, not really cut off, but, the words that continued seemed, scrambled. 'abolqpbo by qpli bzkl pxt qxet kxz pkljxba hqft pixba dkfhxj vb vikl akx kbmmxe eqofybo broq beq kxz biyxhxboykr pxs qxet phxboy bofmjxs beq bzql qry abixbsbo by eqroq beq fft pbzfcfozxp irckfxm akx pixfoq aoxe bjq edrloeq vikl.'

I had to blink several times reading this, scrambled mess, then I thought, 'Okay, either whatever has allowed me to read the DigiCode is malfunctioning, or, this is just gibberish. Uh, Olette-San, can you make heads or tails of this?'

But, unfortunately, she too was confused, "No, sorry, Lukas-San, this doesn't make any sense to me either."

Then, before I could drive myself deeper into madness, I, I mean, we heard Tentomon-San say, "I admire the way you keep working while your friends are out having fun. Don't you ever feel sort of…left out?"

To which I turned to Izzy-San, who shook his head and replied with, "Not at all."

Then Tentomon-San looked at Izzy-San with, I guess could be classified as confusion, and he asked, "So you rather spend your time with puzzles then with people?"

Izzy-San nodded instantly and he replied with, "Precisly. What could be more fun than breaking a cryptogram that nobody else can figure out?"

I raised an eyebrow, being slightly curious about what Izzy-San had just said, and I asked, "You sure, Izzy-San? I mean, don't get me wrong or anything, I like spending countless hours trying to solve an unsolvable puzzle as much as the next guy," I stopped and turned to the mysterious message on the battery, then I turned back to Izzy-San and said, "but even I like to go out and have some fun every once and a while."

Then Tentomon-San said, "And I can think of a lot of things. Like relaxing on a nice warm, and not worrying about being trapped in a small room with no exit. But that's just me."

Then Izzy-San tried to argue and said, "I'm just trying to determine how we all got to this place. And I'd like to learn more about you Digimon, perhaps prove some of my theories."

Then Tentomon-San looked down at the young kid on his laptop and asked, "What are you theorizing about? What's the big mystery? I am who I am. I'm not hiding anything."

"Really?" Izzy-San asked curiously, with a curious expression spread across his face.

Olette-San, who was kind of intrigued by Izzy-San's techno nonsense, asked, "Why does Izzy-San ask so many questions, Lukas-San?"

I mentally sighed and thought, 'I cant really say.'

Olette-San seemed like she was about to ask me another question when Tentomon-San said, "I simply cannot comprehend this preoccupation with you. Is there some kind of deep, dark secret in your origins, Izzy-San?"

I glanced over at Izzy-San, and I could see that he was sweating bullets. Then he went completely still and I became nervous at his state. I tried waving my hand in front of him but got no response, then I saw that his computer was beginning to act rather oddly.

And I'm not talking about him getting spam emails and pop up ads, either. The whole computer looked like it was freaking out. Seriously! The lines of text were freaking moving about the screen with no rhyme or reason. Then Tentomon-San started calling out his name, "Izzy-San. Izzy-San!"

That was when Izzy-San came back to reality and turned to us and said, "Huh? Oh, what did you say?"

Tentomon-San then replied with, "You were off in another world, Izzy-San."

"And I don't think it was this one, Izzy-San." Dorumon-San told the genius redhead.

Then I pointed towards the screen and said, "Izzy-San, look at the screen." We all watched as the computer went mad.

Then Tentomon-San said in a serious voice, "Perhaps you should stop focusing on the problem and start looking for a solution. Your friends are in trouble. Can't you feel it in your bones?"

Just then our Digivices started glowing, we took them out and Izzy-San said, "Uh, my Digivice has been activated."

I nodded and in a mystified voice said, "Mine too! But what could be causing them to behave like this?"

At that moment, I felt it. That very same chill run down my spine from earlier. The one that told me that something is wrong. I then said, "Something is wrong! I can feel it! Tai-Nii is in trouble!"

Izzy-San then looked at me with curiosity and asked, "Huh? What do you mean, Luke-San? How can you tell that it's Tai-San that is in trouble?"

I looked at Izzy-San and shook my head as I said, "I don't know. It is just a feeling that I have! Call it, a Otouto-San's intuition." Then I gripped my locket and I thought, 'It's almost like I can feel that something is wrong.'

But then I looked up in frustration and said, "But I don't even know where in this place he could be! He could literally be anywhere!" I then slammed my fist against the wall and said, "If only I could tell what was happening! KUSOJĀKU!" I screamed out, causing everyone to look at me in shock.

Then a bright green light started to glow from the spot where I slammed my fist. The four of us, five if you count Olette-San, looked up and saw that several Digicodes change that said the phrase 'To See' were glowing, and then a digitized monitor appeared and it showed that Tai-Nii, Sora-San and Joe-San, along with their Digimon were being chased by an Andromon-San, only to hang off the ledge as Andromon-San fired off a Lightning Blade/Raikiri.

Izzy-San gasped in shock at what he saw, then he asked, "What's going on? Whose that Digimon?"

Tentomon-San then, in an amazed voice said, "That's Andromon! He's one of the most powerful Digimon of all. His body is a tireless machine, capable of almost anything."

Then Izzy-San worriedly asked, "Is there anything we can do to help them?"

Dorumon-San then jokingly asked, "You wouldn't happen to have a giant magnet lying around, would you?"

Before I could even respond to Dorumon-San's joke, a holographic keyboard appeared before me, with the letters being the same Digicode that covered the walls.

At first I didn't know what was going on, but I then pressed a random button and we all watched at a crane came slamming out of nowhere, hitting Andromon-San and knocking him to the ground.

Then as the gang started pulling themselves up back onto the railing, we all heard Tai-Nii ask, "Whoa! Where did that come from?"

Then I blinked several times and I slowly said, "Tai-Nii? Nii-San, can you hear me?"

I watched as everyone jumped five feet in the air, and if the situation wasn't as bad as it was, I would have chuckled. Then Nii-San asked, "Luke-Otouto? Otouto is that you? Where are you? Get off the intercom!"

Then I bit back a chuckle as I said, "I'm currently inside a giant battery with Izzy-San, Tentomon-San and Dorumon-San. Listen, I have no idea how I am doing this, but you need to listen to me. You have to find a way out of the factory, and quick. Andromon-San is stronger then he appears, if you get hit by him, it's game over for you."

I could see the looks of fear in my friends eyes when I said that, then I said, "Look, I will see if I can get a map of this factory to try to help you guys out, but I don't know how long that will take, just run. Run and try to either find Matt-San and the others, or find your way out of here. We're going to try to figure out what to do, understand?"

Tai-Nii then looked at Andromon-San, then at the crane controls and I could almost see the lightbulb appear above his head, as Andromon-San stood back up and said, "Andromon-San will exact his revenge."

Then Tai-Nii jumped down onto the crane controls and said, "Oh, Yeah? Just try it, you tin can!" Then Tai-Nii took control over the crane and raised Andromon-San off the ground.

Then I smiled at my Nii-Sans ingenuity, and said, "Good thinking, Tai-Nii! Now get out of there! Hurry!"

Everyone nodded then headed off, I sighed but looked back to Izzy-San, where I heard Tentomon-San say, "Tentomon-San to Izzy-mon-San! Are you reading me?"

I watched as Izzy got a black and white 3-Dimensional map of the factory, and Izzy-San said, "This is merely scientific speculation, but I believe that I have stumbled onto something more than just a simple computer game. And I'm about to abandon my alien theory as well."

I smiled, knowing that Tai-Nii and the others are momentarily safe, and that Izzy-San stopped with this alien nonsense, and said, "That's good to hear, Izzy-San. Huh?" I looked at the computer and saw a map of the entire island.

Then we all heard Tentomon-San say, "Oh, my, it's getting hot in here." We all looked over to Tentomon-San and saw that he was glowing a bright blue, and he said, "Ow! Ow! I'm burning up!"

I looked over to Dorumon-San, hoping that he was fine, and I sighed in relief when I noticed that he was okay. I looked at Tentomon-San, then at Izzy-San and I realized what was happening, then I said in a tone that I know only he would get, "Izzy-San! Cut the program! Whatever it's doing, seems to be overloading Tentomon-San's processing speed! He's shorting out!"

Then Tentomon-San, in a pained voice, said, "Do something quickly! I'm being zapped!"

Izzy-San then looked at Tentomon-San in a shocked curious expression and then he asked, "What's going on? Hey!"

Then I yelled, "Izzy-San! Do something!" Hoping to get him to see what was happening here.

Izzy-San looked at his Digivice and said, "Hmm. Is it…Is it really Short circuiting?"

Tentomon-San kept crying out in pain, "Ooh! Eeh! Mercy! Yikes! I'm dancing like I've never danced before!"

Then Izzy-San began typing away at his computer and sadly said, "I'm disconnecting the power!" Izzy-San then pressed the power button on his computer and sighed and said, "Now I may never figure the mystery out. Oh, well."

Then Tentomon-San finally stopped dancing and I asked, "Tentomon-San, are you good?"

Tentomon-San collapsed and he said, "I don't like computers."

I lightly chuckled but I stopped when Izzy-San exclaimed, "What happened to my Digivice?"

I walked up to Izzy and saw that his Digivice went black, I shook my head, then I decided to go back to the holographic keyboard and try to find Matt-San and the others, then I looked up, only to find that Izzy-San and Tentomon-San were gone.

I looked to Dorumon-San and asked, "Hey, where did Izzy-San and Tentomon-San go?"

Dorumon-San then said, "They went to let Matt-San and the others know what he had discovered."

My eyes widened and I said, "He went out on his own!?"

Dorumon-San nodded and said, "I tried getting your attention, but you seemed to be preoccupied with your holograms that you never noticed him leave."

I could feel Olette-San look at me with concern, obviously my worry for my friends caused her to worry. Then she said, "Lukas-San, calm down, getting angry about this is not going to help them."

I gripped my D-ark tightly, then I thought, 'I know, Olette-San, I know.' While that did cause Olette-San to nod, I could still feel her concern for me, I could also feel some confusion from her as well, probably not really knowing how to react at a time like this, I then thought, 'Thanks, Olette-San. I will try to be careful.' I could feel her smile in gratitude, then I looked up to my partner and said, "Let's get going!"

Dorumon-San nodded and we ran off, but when we left the battery, I noticed that the holographic keyboard followed me. 'As cool as this thing is, I really don't want this to stay with me, but at the moment, it can provide to be useful.' I thought to both myself, and Olette-San.

I typed in the word "Camera" and I saw what I thought to be a bazillion monitors, but was only like, ten, maybe twelve, appear before me, I could literally see the entire factory, then I saw where Izzy-San was and I looked to Dorumon-San and said, "This way, bud!"

When we caught up to the gang, I heard Tai-Nii yell, "We gotta get out of here, NOW!"

I caught up to them and said, "He's right! We have an Ultimate level Digimon trouble to deal with! I have been trying to keep a steady lock on him, but I can only do so much!"

Sora-San looked over to me and asked, "Lukas-San? What's that around you?"

I turned back to the camera screens and checked to see what is going on, then I looked back to her and shrugged and said, "I honestly have no clue, but it is useful. But Tai-Nii is right, we need to leave, fast!"

Matt-San then asked, "What do you mean, guys?"

Then the floor between us open and Andromon popped out! "Andromon!" I yelled. "This is not good!"

Then Andromon-San yelled, "Capure Intruders! Sensors detect intruders! Bring intruders into firing range!"

Then Mimi-San, having no sense of self preservation, simply raised her hand and asked, "Uh, Mr. Whatever-mon, are you talking to us?"

Then I, being the only one who knew how dangerous Andromon was, yelled, "Guys! Get out of there or you will be blown to dust!"

Then Andromon-San said, "Bring missiles into positions." And his metal chest to reveal two large wholes in his chest.

Andromon then fired at the gang, and everyone but TK-San, who was frozen in fear ran away, then I heard a Digivice going off and saw Gabumon-San running to save TK-San when he Digivolved into Garurumon-San, who then kicked a missile away.

But the other started firing at Tai-Nii and the others, only for Nii-San's Digivice to start glowing and then Greymon-San deflected the missile away with his tail.

Then Andromon-San became enraged and he asked, "Who dares to challenge Andromon?"

Then Andromon-San was attacked by both Greymon-San and Garurumon-San, only to cause the three Digimon to fall down off a ledge, while yelling, "Bungling weaklings!"

Tai-Nii then punched the air and yelled, "Get him, Greymon-San!"

And Matt-San nodded in agreement and he shouted out, "Recycle that hunk of tin!"

But, while everyone else was cheering with joy, I, on the other hand, had a bad feeling about all of this, then I said, "I don't like this."

Tai-Nii looked at me with a smile on his face, and asked, "Why? We're winning, aren't we?"

I looked to Tai-Nii and said, "That's not what I mean." Everyone looked at me, but I turned to the holographic computer and started typing rapidly then I got the charts of Andromon-San and I said, "Andromon-San is much stronger then either Greymon-San and Garurumon-San, It is going to take more then those two to defeat him. Perhaps I could find a weakness in him."

Then I heard Andromon-San shout out, "You puny ones dare to challenge me?"

Then he raised his hand and we all watched as it spun rapidly and started cackling with electricity then he yelled, "Lightning Blade! And fire!" He launched his attack at Garurumon-San, who was looking very exhausted.

Then Greymon-San took this as an opportunity to attack Andromon-San from behind, "Nova Flame!"

Greymon-San's shouting caused Andromon-San to look at him, and then Garurumon-San took this as an opportunity to proceed with a follow up attack, but as good as things were going, I could tell that Andromon-San held the advantage.

And he proved it when he roundhouse kicked the attack, making it useless, plus, he had more energy to spare, while Garurumon-San and Greymon-San were looking a little worse for wear.

Then I heard Matt-San say, "He's more powerful then either of our Digimon!"

Then, that was when Sora-San said, "Maybe because he's all machine. It's almost like he's Digivolved far beyond the other Digimon."

That was when I got something, "That's it!"

Everyone looked at me and Tai-Nii asked, "What's it, Otouto?"

I looked at them and showed the data on Andromon-San, and said, "It is because Andromon-San is a higher level Digimon then our partners! Look, from the stats of Dorumon-San coming from my Digivice, it says that he is a Rookie level Digimon, while my Digivice says that both Greymon-San and Garurumon-San are both Champion level Digimon."

Izzy-San looked at me with curiosity, then he asked, "But what about Andromon-San? What is he?"

I looked at the screen and said, "If this is correct, and I do believe it is, then, Andromon is an Ultimate Level Digimon."

Everyone became shocked/confused and they all asked, "Ultimate Level?"

I nodded and said, "I have been gathering information the moment the fight started, I think I may have stumbled onto the archives, it says that each level of a Digimon can be classified the moment they hatch, their first level, Fresh, or the baby levels, they are at their youngest and weakest form, then they Digivolve into their 'In-Training' Level, or kid level, which is what Dorumon, Tentomon, and the others are, next comes 'Champion' Level, or something a kin to preteen-teen age years for humans, which is what Greymon and Garurumon are, next comes the 'Ultimate Level' the Teenage-Young Adult stage. That is where Andromon is."

Everyone had their jaws to the floor, then Tai-Nii silently gulped and he asked, "You mean to tell us that, that Andromon has outclassed both of them?"

I sadly nodded, and said, "If we can somehow overpower Andromon-San, we could take him out, but with both Greymon-San and Garurumon-San out, who could take him on?" I glanced at Dorumon-San and thought, 'I know that this would end badly but, just maybe...'

But before I could do something stupid, I heard Tentomon-San say, "Izzy-San, try re-entering that program that activated your Digivice."

Izzy-San looked at his partner in confusion, then he asked, "But, what for?"

Tentomon-San then replied with, "I believe that's the key to my Digivolving."

I saw Izzy-San nod, then I thought, 'Might as well try it myself.' Me and Izzy-San then typed the program, but my D-Ark never reacted, but I saw Tentomon-San begin to glow as I heard a Digivice activate.

D-I-G-I-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

Then we all watched as Tentomon-San became a giant, armored blue and grey, four winged and four armed, ant and beetle combo, then the newly Digivolved Digimon yelled, "Kabuterimon!"

Then I jumped in the air, a smile overtaking my face, as I cheered, "Yeah! Now we're talking!"

Everyone was cheering as well, I glanced down at the fight and saw Andromon-San spear shot at Greymon-San, and twin fist slam Garurumon-San, I looked up to Kabuterimon-San and said, "They need help, pronto!"

Izzy-San looked up and said, "Kabuterimon-San! Now!"

Kabuterimon-San nodded and jumped down to join the battle, just as he was about to crash into Andromon-San, but the Android jumped out of the way, causing Kabuterimon-San to crash into the ground. But he used his wings to take flight and once again charge at Andromon-San, this time, making contact, with him.

Andromon-San was doing his best to hold him off, but was forced to throw Kabuterimon-San to the side, then he shouted, "Bring missiles to position! And fire!" This caused Kabuterimon to retreat.

Joe-San then fearfully asked, "Boy, doesn't that Andromon-San ever run out of gas?"

I than heard Tai-Nii ask, "Hey, Otouto, do you have anything useful we can use?"

I looked up at my Nii-San and said, "Almost, I just need to find a weak point. But, wait!"

Then both me and Izzy-San simultaneously said, "That's it!"

Everyone looked at us and asked, "What's it?"

Me and Izzy-San shared a look and for a moment, we could tell what the other was thinking, then Izzy-San said, "Cut his power!"

Then I followed and said, "His entire body is made of metal, all except his right leg! That's his weak point! Aim for that!"

And then, Izzy-San finished with, "Do that and we'll interrupt his energy source!"

Kabuterimon-San nodded, then he crossed his four arms and a large white ball surrounded by purple lightning had formed, then he shouted, "Electro Shocker!"

Then that white ball turned into a saw blade then it was fired at the unprotected leg and it forced something out.

I typed rapidly and said, "Guys, look!" Everyone looked to my screen and saw Andromon-San's leg, and another black gear started to leave out of it.

"He stripped a gear." Matt-San said as we watched the black gear slowly rise up into the sky.

Then Sora-San flinched slightly, then she said, "That must have hurt." Then the gear was destroyed.

I finally felt relaxed, then I jumped down to Andromon-San, while I heard Tai-Nii yelling, "Otouto! What are you doing?"

But I just ignored him when I saw Andromon struggling to get up, but I rested my hand on him and said, "Take it easy, alright? Do you feel okay, Andromon-San?"

Andromon-San nodded and said, "Yes, thank you for asking." Then the rest of the group came down and Andromon said, "That black gear must have reprogrammed my systems somehow. I am normally a nonviolent Digimon."

Tai-Nii rubbed his nose then said, "You could have fooled us!"

I rolled my eyes and looked back to the holographic screens that I had and said, "Take it easy on him, Nii-San. It wasn't his fault. Yeash."

I saw Andromon-San look my way, and he said, "Incredible, you are able to have access to the system mainframe. That's incredible!"

I looked up in confusion and asked, "What do you mean, don't you have access to this stuff?"

Andromon-San shook his head and said, "No, none of those that worked on this factory are able to use the main system mainframe."

Izzy-San, being the knowledge hungry kid that he is, asked, "Why is that? Why can't anyone be able to use the system mainframe? Shouldn't that be public access?"

Andromon-San sadly shook his head and said, "No. The mainframe was built by a truly ingenious being, they were said to have built the factory, but that is all we do know the rest has faded into history."

I was intrigued and asked, "This builder, what was their name?"

Andromon-San shook his head and said, "I am sorry, but we don't remember the name of the creator, I am sorry."

I then heard Sora-San say, "I told you he's a Digimon and not an Android."

Then Andromon-San sadly said, "I never meant to hurt anyone."

Then Matt-San waved the android Digimon off and said, "Don't give it another thought. Hey, we all make mistakes."

Andromon-San then looked to all of us kids and then he said, "Besides what I have already told you, I can't answer your questions about how this place came to be or what's it for, But I can be of some help. The best way to escape from here is to follow the underground waterway. The labyrinth begins just beyond this point."

I smiled and said, "Thanks for the help, Andromon-San."

Andromon-San nodded and said, "Think nothing of it, Luke. Now, turn off the keyboard."

I nodded and while I didn't know how to, I decided to close my eyes, and focused, maybe if I focused on what I want, I could get it to happen, then when I opened them again, I saw the saw the same symbol I saw when I first met Olette-San, the I pressed the button, and watched as all of the monitors turn off, then disappear, then the keyboard along with it.

Then I breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Man, that was weird. Well, thanks again for everything, Andromon-San."

Andromon-San nodded and said, "I hope you find your way home and no matter what, try to remember the big bad guy turned out to be not so bad."

I looked to Tai-Nii as he said, "There's one thing you can count on. We'll never forget you, Andromon-San."

We all nodded, then I said, "Cm'on, guys, next stop, the sewers!"

I could feel Sora-San roll her eyes as she said, "Can you not feel so excited about this, Lukas-San?"

I lightly chuckled, then I blushed in embarrassment and rubbed the back of my head, then I said, "Sorry, it's been one crazy day, today."

Matt-San chuckled and sarcastically said, "Yeah. All you had to do was type on some strange keyboard, that is it." Then he jumped out of a pipe that was at the end of the path.

"Yeah, some strange computer that just appeared out of nowhere." I replied back, then jumping down after him.

One by one we all jumped down, but we had to wait a little bit while Mimi-San psyched herself to jump. I was getting tired, then I said, "Mimi-San, it's just a small jump, there's no need to worry. You'll be fine."

Mimi-San nodded and said, "Right. I can do this, I can do this. I know I can do this. I really can do this. Okay, ready, set... Hah." Then Mimi-San finally jumped and joined the rest of us.

Then Tai-Nii sarcastically said, "Okay. That only took four minutes. Let's get out of here."

We all nodded and started to walk steadily through the sewers when Joe-San asked, "Am I the only one who finds strolling leisurely through the sewers just the slightest bit disgusting?"

Then I heard Olette-San ask, "Lukas-San?"

'Yes, Olette-San?' I responded with a polite voice.

"Does Joe-San always seem to act so, weird?" Olette-San asked me.

I mentally chuckled and thought, 'Yes. Yes he does.' Then I turned to said complainer and said, "Hey, Joe-San, lighten up already. We just got done fighting a literal android Digimon. So, kindly, chill out."

Everyone chuckled at my response, then TK-San looked at Izzy-San and said, "Tell me the truth, Izzy-San. Was it your computer that made Tentomon-San turn into a superhero?"

Izzy-San smiled at the youngest member of our group and said, "Prodigious, huh?"

TK-San then asked, "Could your computer make Patamon-San become a superhero?"

Izzy-San got that insane thinking look, and he said, "I suppose that it is possible."

TK-San smiled wildly and said, "Wow, ok!"

Izzy-San then got out his computer and started typing out the same old program, then he said, "Let's see."

Then TK-San looked at Izzy-San in confusion and he asked, "What's happening?"

But then I heard Izzy-San say, "That's strange."

And heard TK-San exclaimed, "Hey!" In disappointment.

I walked over to where Izzy-San and TK-San were, and saw that Izzy-San's computer had turned off, then I asked, "Is there something wrong, Izzy-San?"

Izzy-San shook his head and said, "The program's right. But nothing's happening."

Then Tai-Nii then teleported next to Izzy-San and cheerfully said, "Just give it a few whacks. That'll do it!"

Then Agumon-San was by Tai-Nii's side, ready to go along with his plan and said, "Let us help!"

But just before they could me and Dorumon-San were holding them back, then I said, "Can you two give it a rest!"

Dorumon-San then looked at the two nincompoops, and said, "How many things are you two gonna try to smash to fix them?"

Izzy-San then got out of the way and said, "Sorry, guys, but a computer is not a toy."

And while Tai-Nii and Agumon-San were still trying to get loose when me and Dorumon-San shared a look, and we both nodded, we both clocked Nii-San and Agumon-San upside the head, leaving them with two lumps on their heads.

Then I heard Sora-San say, "Well, now that you two have holes in your heads, maybe your brains will get enough oxygen."

Everyone started laughing at Tai-San and Agumon's position, then I looked down at the water and saw Olette-San's reflection and saw her smile, I gave her a similar smile and thought, 'Things have just gotten more interested.'

And so, the adventure through the Digital World has introduced me to a new amnesiac friend, but what is the reason behind her being in my mind? Why has she lost her memories? And will I finally get answers to why I am here? All these questions and more await as our story continues.

Thechaosmaster: And that is that. Now, before people start tpying the flames that I can see coming for creating another OC, let me explain Olette, she is mostly a character to help Lukas find his path, and maybe help him let the others know the truth. And chances are, she would probably end up as the romantic interest. And an OC was probably gonna be a romantic intrest either way. Now, I do want to add more Digimon that interact with Lukas and the other DigiDestined, like Royal Knights and demon Lords type Digimon. But until next time, I am Thechaosmaster and this is my story.

CHAOS CONTROL!

Thechaosmaster: And here we have the edited version of The Brainiac And The New Friend. Now, you may have noticed the mumbo jumbo, that is more than it seems. I won't tell you how to solve it, but, well, if anyone can solve it, leave it in the reviews, and if anyone is correct, I'll let you know in the next update. It's a very simple cypher, so, good luck, and see you all next time.

Red: And please, don't rush us, now that Chaos has a full time job, so, it will take up a lot of his spare time, and will only have three days to work on these stories.

Chaos: Right, and I will be dead $$ tired, so, please, for my sanity, don't rush me.

Choas and Blossom: Goodnight everyone!
