Thechaosmaster: Hello everyone, and welcome to the next chapter of Digimon New Life. This chapter took a very long time to write, mostly because I was uncertain of what to write, now then, I want to say that I am kind of disappointed with the lack of reviews I have been getting, and only one person actually took a guess at who the cloaked figure was. Aster's Descendants, you were so close on guessing it right.
Kurivolt: Yeah, you were in the right group, but picked the wrong member, but, because you were the only one to guess, you get the shout out. Congrads.
Thechaosmaster: That's right, and to all of my readers, please don't forget to review, it is hard to tell how I am doing when I don't get reviews. So, here is how it's going to work, from now on, this story will be held at ransom, if this chapter doesn't get at least five reviews from five different readers, to let me know that they are enjoying this story, then I won't write another chapter, but if this chapter does get at least five reviews, then I will have the next chapter up within the week.
Kurivolt: So, without further delay, here is the disclaimer. Thechaosmaster does not own Digimon, it's characters, or me, he does own himself, the OC Olette, and some of the plot, everything else belongs to their respected owners.
Thechaosmaster: Wow, I have to say, I only just finished updating Meaning of Faith not to long ago, and yet, I finished this chapter this quickly.
Blossom: If you keep this speed up, Chaos, you might actually start writing new chapters in a week.
Chaos: Haha, I can only hope, Blossom. Now, I have to say, this chapter is by far one of the most important chapters, for multiple reasons. But I won't tell you guys what they are. ; ) Let's just say that I actually like writing back stories, they are becoming my specialty.
Blossom: Well, we'd love to stay and chat, but editing two chapters in one day can be tiring.
Chaos: For a review of Disclaimers, look upwards, the past dozen chapters, and every other chapter that has come after this one.
Chapter 10: Making Peace With Demons
Quote of the chapter: "He who does not trust enough, will not be trusted." Lao Tzu.
I was shaking in fear at the Digimon that stood before me. I could literally feel the sweat drip down my face, my hands were trembling uncontrollably, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. And while I had no idea who could have been under the cloak. This, this was not who I was expecting. "No, it can't be, you're, Lucemon!?" I said with fear in my voice.
That was right, the cloaked figure was the legendary Demon Lord of Pride, Lucemon. With his short, blond hair, bright blue eyes, his eight massive white wings, and purple tattoos on the left side of his body, and two golden bands around both of his wrists.
The back of his left hand had the mark of the Digital Hazard, while the back of his right held the Zero Unit. He was also wrapped up in cloth. While he was only in his 'kid' form, he was still the strongest Demon Lord for a reason.
Lucemon smiled lightly and chuckled. "It seems that my reputation precedes me, even to this day." He said in a overly calm voice that really sent shivers down my spine, while brushing the hair out of his face in an seemingly innocent motion.
My fear quickly turned into anger as I reached for my Modify Cards, ready to take this guy out and said, "What are you doing here!?" I was not taking any chances with him.
But just as I was about to draw one of my Modify Cards, I heard Crescemon-Sama's voice calmly say, "Easy, there, Luke-San. He's a friend of mine."
I turned to face Crescemon-Sama who was approaching us. I looked at her in shock and in a voice of disbelief, I asked, "A friend? You do know who he is, right? Lucemon of Pride? Destroyer of the Digital World? Leader of the Seven Great Demon Lords? Any of this sound familiar? How can he be a friend?!" I asked with barley contained rage building up inside of me.
Then Crescemon-Sama beckoned us back to her place and said, "Please follow me back to my place, there I will promise that I will try to explain as much as I can."
Lucemon-San bowed respectfully and said, "As you wish, Lady Crescemon."
As much as I felt the need to attack this Digimon next to me, I knew that I was still a visitor to her village, even though I had helped saving it, I didn't want to cause any trouble, so I sighed in a defeated tone, then respectfully bowed and said, "Please forgive me for my actions, Crescemon-Sama, I didn't know he was your friend."
Crescemon-Sama simply nodded and said, "It is fine, Lukas-San. Your reaction is very understandable."
As we were walking back to the cathedral-dojo styled building, I looked at Lucemon-San with curiosity, he then looked up and chuckled at me, then asked, "Not used to seeing Digimon, are you, kid?"
I could see that he was at least trying to be pleasant, and polite around me, so I decided to at least get to know this Digimon before I decide to do something I could regret, then I said, "No, being here for five days has gotten me quite used to Digimon, it's just you that has me on edge right now. Don't take it to personally if I'm not quick to trusting you, Lucemon-San."
I wasn't gonna let my guard down just yet. While he seemed to be polite and all, for all I knew, he could be playing a long con, and I wasn't ready to let my guard down.
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled at my answer and he said, "Yeah, I kind of figured that out, Lukas-San. But then again, I did offer you my help to find the Black Gears, isn't that enough?"
I glared at him, not at all amused with his cool demeanor and said, "How can I be sure I can trust you?"
But before he could answer me, Crescemon-Sama said, "We're here. Please make yourself comfortable while I grab something."
I took a seat right next to the Demon Lords crest mural, while Rouge-San and Dorumon-San sat next to me, then I heard Rouge-San ask me, "Luke, aren't you being a little, extreme, right now? I mean, he's just another Digimon, isn't he?" There was something in her voice, something that I couldn't pinpoint.
It was like, she was either frightened, or curious as to what my answer would be.
I shook my head and said, "No, he's more then that, Rouge-San, he is the leader of the Seven Great Demon Lords, he is Lucemon of Pride, he along with the rest of the Demon Lords, Lilithmon of Lust, Daemon Of Wrath, Belphemon of Sloth, Barbamon of Greed, Beelzemon of Gluttony, and Leviamon of Envy, all form The Seven Great Demons."
I may not have watched every single episode of the Digimon series, but, if there was one thing that I know, it was Demon Lords. Then I said "Together these seven once fought the thirteen Royal Knights over the Digital World, but in the end, they all but destroyed each other. They are the proof of an old human saying, that in war, there are no winners or loser. All that is left, are the survivors."
I gave Lucemon-San a harsh glare as I said, "And it looks like Lucemon is one of those survivors. I may have come from another world, one from this life, as well as my previous life, but I still know that Lucemon was one of the most dangerous Digimon to ever exist."
Then I heard Crescemon-Sama walk in and she said, "You are half right about that, Luke-San."
I looked up at her and saw that she was holding something in her hands, it looked like a very old book. Possibly an ancient Tome, but, I was confused as too why she had said that, so I asked, "What do you mean that I am half right?"
Lucemon-San then stood up and said, "She means that I am not the original Lucemon from the war between King Drasil and the feared Ogudomon, the creator of the seven."
"King Drasil? Ogudomon? Who are they?" I asked in a confused tone. I knew about the war between the Royal Knights and Demon Lords, but not Ogudomon or this, King Drasil.
Crescemon-Sama nodded and placed the ancient Tome down on a table next to me. I got up and looked at it and saw that the title was written in DigiCode, but because I could now read DigiCode, I could tell that is was called, "History Of The Digital World?" I asked in a confused voice.
Crescemon-Sama nodded as she said, "Correct. This book tells of the history of the Digital World, and of Ogudomon, who was the originator of the Great Seven. He was the one that created the Seven Demon Lords." She then opened the book and I saw an image of Ogudomon. A large, black and purple creature, with seven eyes, and seven swords protruding from each of its seven legs, with the Deadly Sins symbols hovering over each sword.
Then Lucemon said, "Ogudomon was one of the first. Created during the Digital Worlds infancy. He along with King Drasil, were sworn enemies, and each wanted to rule the Digital World with an iron fist."
Once again, she said the name King Drasil, but, that name wasn't ringing any bells, so I asked, "King Drasil? Who is he?"
Crescemon-Sama looked down sadly and sighed, then she said, "King Drasil, otherwise known as Yeggdrasil, was a mythical Digimon, believed to have once hosted the entire Digital World, he was once a kind and fair being. But, all of that changed when Digimon kept Digivolving and new species kept appearing, as well as the fact that they were separated into two categories. Data and Vaccine."
This was something I was not expecting. This King Drasil, or Yeggdrasil, seemed to be a pretty powerful Digimon, if he was believed to have hosted the whole Digital World. Then Crescemon-Sama continued the history lesson.
"The Digimon kept Digivolving and this expanding, caused a massive overload on King Drasil, and much strain on the DigiWorld as a whole, and so, in order to save the DigiWorld, he devised a plan, he wanted to reboot the Digital World."
My eyes widened and asked, "He, WHAT!?" I was shocked at this, terrified that there was a being that wanted to reboot the DigiWorld. "What about the Digimon that already existed? What would happen to them?" I asked worry in my voice.
Crescemon-Sama lightly chuckled and said, "That was why Primary Village was created for this new DigiWorld, Luke-San. Back then, King Drasil was a just and kind ruler. He cared for all Digimon. There was not a single life that he didn't cherish. But, during the Digital Worlds reboot, something happened."
I grew fearful, feeling the dark twist that I knew was coming, and after swallowing my nervousness, I asked, "What? What happened? What went wrong?" I lightly gulped, fearing what could have possibly gone wrong.
Lucemon-San turned a page in the book, and I saw King Drasil, a large white suite of armor, with grey outlines, then I saw a small clear blue sphere on the opposite page, but I also saw something that I recognized instantly, but it made my blood freeze. "The Digital Hazard."
Lucemon-San looked at his left hand and said, "Yes, the Digital Hazard. Part of the next generation of human computers. A small virus accidentally uploaded onto the Digital Word via a small computer virus on a single computer."
Then I was shaking in nervousness as I asked, "But how could a small virus lead to the creation of the Digital Hazard?"
Crescemon-Sama looked at me and said, "Because, as you should know, the first human computers were new, and not yet perfected, and prone to viruses. And During the time of reboot, the humans began upgrading their computers, as well as their software systems, during that time, a virus infected one of the new computers, and in turn, it created a new virus inside the Digital World."
Lucemon-San then turned to me and said, "This new virus was the Digital Hazard. And after the DigiWorld finished being rebooted, it had changed drastically. It was now larger to support the abundance of Digimon that lived there, but the DigiWorld wasn't the only thing that changed. The Digimon did as well. The original two types, Data and Vaccine now had a third typing, originating from the Digital Hazard."
My mouth dropped as I slowly said, "The Virus type was added to the Digital World because of the Digital Hazard."
Crescemon-Sama nodded sagely and said, "Correct, and with the virus type, even more Digimon started appearing, it had a massive effect on the DigiWorld, but what no one could foresee was the effect it had on King Drasil, as well as a single DigiEgg."
I looked up at Crescemon-Sama, already putting the pieces together and I said, "King Drasil as well as this DigiEgg, they were both infected by the Digital Hazard, weren't they?"
Lucemon-San nodded sadly and said, "Correct. And while it is true that, nowadays those who bare the mark of the Digital Hazard are said to possess great potential, back then, it wasn't the case. There was only one Digimon who bore that mark."
Okay, that, I kinda figured. Because Takato-San's partner Guilmon-San possessed the Digital Hazard on his chest, but, it wasn't until Takato-San lost it, did the Hazards power run wild. Plus, I am fairly certain that there are other multiple Digimon who bare the Digital Hazard on them, just like Lucemon-San here.
Then Lucemon-San said, "And when King Drasil returned, he was no longer the kind and gentle king that everyone once worshipped. He was now corrupted by the Digital Hazard, twisted and corrupted beyond recognition, and he planned to become a tyrannical ruler, one who only desired to rule over all."
Then Crescemon-Sama looked up at the roof of the cathedral as she said, "Although, King Drasil wasn't just another insane evil Digimon, he was also a genius, he knew that if he had just went all Gung Ho, as you humans would say, and tried to enslave the Digital World, then someone would attempt to stop him."
I nodded, understanding that, Digimon were just like humans, if they wage war, then they will have to actually have plans, backup plans, and backup plans for backup plans.
Then Crescemon-Sama said, "So, he began creating plans, but everything changed when the DigiEgg hatched." Crescemon-Sama turned to book of history, and I saw a black and purple DigiEgg with a crack across the middle, then Crescemon-Sama said, "And Ogudomon entered the Digital World. Infused with the full force of the Digital Hazard, he was immediately Digivolved into a Mega Level Digimon. He was one who only wanted one thing, and one thing only."
Then I looked up at her and asked, "Let me guess, the complete and total annihilation and/or enslavement over anyone and everyone in the Digital World, right?"
Crescemon-Sama nodded and said, "Yes, and with Ogudomon-San's Demon Lords, he would do so. This was the start of their war for the Digital World."
My whole body was shaking, I could hear my heart beating, then I looked down at the pictures of Ogudomon-San and King Drasil, then I looked up at Crescemon-Sama and asked, "Who was the worse of the two? King Drasil? Or Ogudomon-San?"
Crescemon-San looked up at the mural of Sins, almost as if she, herself was reminiscing about something, then she looked down at me once more and said, "They were both vicious Digimon. They both wanted to rule over the Digital World like tyrants. They used the Royal Knights and Demon Lords to try to defeat the other and claim the Digital World for themselves."
My eyes widened in shock, to think, that the very Royal Knights that were written out to have been the most noble and inspirational Digimon in the series, but, to learn that they were used to wage war, it shook my beliefs. After holding back a shiver, I decided to ask what I believed to be the biggest question. "How were the Demon Lords created, then?"
Lucemon-San seemed to smile slightly, but, the look in his eyes showed that, it was not in joy, but, something close to, pain, then he turned the page and I saw the seven swords with the Crest Sins above them.
Then Lucemon-San said, "Ogudomon-San wanted to rule over the Digital World so badly, but he knew that he couldn't just destroy King Drasil, who, once he revealed his nefarious ways, had dubbed himself, Yeggdrasil, on his own. So being the embodiment of the Seven Sins as a whole, Ogudomon had sacrificed almost all of his power to turn each of the Seven Swords into the Seven Great Demons, then he sent them to attack and destroy King Drasil."
I was shocked at what I was hearing, but then Lucemon-San said, "However," Lucemon-San then turned the page and I saw all of the Royal Knights, then Lucemon-San said. "Yeggdrasil knew that Ogudomon would try something to destroy him, so he created thirteen knights to protect him. The Aloof hermit, Alphamon. The Holy Knight of Loyalty, Craniamon. The indifferent Warrior, Crusadermon. The Passionate Warrior, Dynasmon. The Dragon Emperor, Examon. The Crimson Knight, Gallantmon. The Knight Of Many Paths, Gankoomon. The Warrior of Salvation, Jesmon. The Swift Crimson Horse, Kentaurosmon. The Intelligent Strategist, Leopardmon. The Radiance of Miracles, Magnamon. The Legendary Warrior, Omnimon. And Finally, the Exalted Knight Of Swiftness, UlforceVeedramon."
I was still shocked at hearing this, "The Royal Knights were used to wage war on the Digital World? But, that's impossible! I thought that they were noble heroes."
Crescemon-Sama nodded sadly and said, "Unfortunately, it is true, Luke-San. Not everything you hear is true."
But then I looked up at Lucemon-San and asked, "But why are you here now? Surely there has to be a good reason behind you being here, Lucemon-San?"
Lucemon-San nodded and sent a strange glance at Rouge-San, one which I recognised as a look of understanding, it was a look I recognised because I give it to Dorumon-San when ever we talked about my past. Then I something hit me. And just like that, the small pieces started lining up, as I remembered one simple fact. Lilithmon is the Mega level Digivolution of, "Shadow Gatomon." I said softly, realizing something.
Rouge-San looked at me with curiosity, then I ran back to the massive mural with all seven sins crest on it and saw it. The large Green crest with four circles in a line, and one circle underneath the third, all connected by lines, with a crescent moon engulfing a star above it.
I placed my hand on the crest, now remembering where I had seen this before. "The Crest of Lust. This was what I saw on Rouge-San's head during our fight back at Infinity Mountain." I said in shock. I could barely breath. I looked at Rouge-San, who was nervously shaking, then it hit me, "That was why you were worried if you had hurt us. Because of your past. Am I right? You were once Lilithmon Of Lust?" I could feel, not only anger building up inside of me, but betrayal, for this being kept from me.
Rouge-San looked like she was going to start crying as she looked down and softly said, "I'm sorry. All I ever wanted to do was escape from my past, but no matter how hard I try, I can never escape it."
My anger suddenly vanished and replaced with regret and sorrow. I felt my heart ache at this, then I walked over to Rouge-San, and gave her a hug, as I softly said, "I am sorry, Rouge-San. I didn't mean to sound so harsh, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Honestly."
Rouge-San then hugged me back, and while crying she said, "It's alright, Lukas. I should've told you sooner, I'm sorry I didn't, but I was scared, I was afraid that you would think that I am a monster. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I just wanted to make amends for my past."
As I hugged tighter, I began to see that she was indeed telling the truth, and I hugged her tighter as I said, "I know, I know. It should be me who apologises, Rouge-San. I was letting my own fear blind me, yet again. If I were to call you out for lying about your past, then I would be considered a hypocrite, because that is exactly what I have been doing all of my life, and look where that got me. I had almost lost myself to my own regret." We then hugged tighter, and I could feel that we were actually becoming friends now.
But before we could have another second, Lucemon-San then said, "You know, as much as you two could use this moment, I think I should explain just what happened in the war."
We both looked up at Lucemon-San and said, "Just give us one minute, okay?" Lucemon-San gave me a slight nod, then I turned to Rouge-San and said, "I just want to say how sorry I am, Rouge-San. I should have been more considerate about your feelings, I should never have gotten angry at you. Can you forgive me for not being more trusting about you?" I extended my hand to show that I wanted to start over.
Rouge rubbed the tears out of her eyes and smiled, then she grabbed my hand and said, "Yeah, I forgive you, Luke. And I am sorry for not trusting you."
I smiled then I bowed my head and said, "Rouge, thank you. Would you be alright if I called you, my friend?"
Rouge-San looked at me in surprise and, a hint of hope shining in her eyes as she asked, "Really? Even after figuring out who I am?"
I smiled, not just a friendly smile, but, a true, genuine smile and said, "You may have once been Lilithmon of Lust before in the past, but you have shown that you have regrets about those times, and that shows to prove that you are not the same Digimon that you were in the past. So, yes, I would be honored to have you as my friend, Rouge-San."
I could see Rouge was crying, but the massive smile on her face told me that she was crying tears of joy, then she said, "I would love to have a friend like you, Lukas."
I smiled, then I picked her up and placed her on my right shoulder, then I turned to Lucemon-San and said, "And while we are on the subject of apologies, I would like to express my deepest apology to you, Lucemon-San, for not even giving you a real chance, or even a benefit of a doubt, so, can you forgive me?" I then extended my hand in a show of trust to Lucemon-San.
Lucemon-San looked at me confused at first, then he smiled at me and said, "Lukas, I would be honored to be your friend." Then he grabbed my hand and we both shook, starting over as friends.
And while I was still weary of him, I was willing to give him a chance. Then I looked at both Lucemon-San and Crescemon-Sama and said, "Look, as much as I loved this history lesson, I need to get this piece of land back to File Island and return to my friends, can we kindly save this for later? At another time perhaps?"
Lucemon-San and Crescemon-Sama gave each other a look, then they nodded, and they both turned to me, and Lucemon-San said, "Yes, maybe another time."
But before I could speak, Crescemon-Sama said, "But, there is one thing you should know, Luke-San."
I looked up at the Ultimate Level Digimon and asked, "What is it, Crescemon-Sama?"
Crescemon-Sama turned a few more pages of the book, until she reached a certain page, and said, "Before the Digital World was rebooted, King Drasil created something, he called it a last line of defense. If something were to happen him, or if something were to threaten the entire Digital World, then a secret plan would be set into motion by his creation."
I began to get nervous as I asked, "And just what was his creation, if I might ask?" I was nervous at what King Drasil could have created, and what his secret plan could be.
No one said anything for a while, but then Lucemon-San raised up his right hand, at first I was confused, but then I looked to the symbol on the back of his right hand, and my eyes widened in realization, then I pulled out my D-Ark and turned it over and saw the same symbol, then I said, "The Zero Unit. That was his creation?"
I looked up to Lucemon-San who nodded and said, "Yes, he created the Zero Unit, and gave it life. It was the one who wrote the book of The History Of The Digital World. The Zero Unit was the only one to witness the Digital Worlds Reboot. But when it discovered that King Drasil had been corrupted after the reboot, it knew that it had to do something, but it wasn't strong enough to fight King Drasil by itself, so it went into hiding, and tried to figure out a way to protect its home and save it's creator."
Crescemon-Sama then took over and said, "It couldn't do anything but watch as its creator destroyed its home while fighting Ogudomon for control, that was when it discovered that it could infuse some of its power to other Digimon, just as long as there was a single spec of light in them, and release them from the darkness. However, it couldn't risk its powers on Yeggdrasil, because he was it's creator, and no doubt had a way to be immune to its power, but that was when it met an unlikely Digimon, and decided to take a chance."
I looked at Lucemon-San with curiosity as I asked, "And just who was this Digimon that the Zero Unit took a chance with?"
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and pointed at himself as he said, "You're looking at him."
My mouth dropped and my brain stopped, as it began booting back up, I exclaimed, "YOU!?"
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "Yes, and together with the Zero Unit, we started to change the way things went. I would explain more, but as you said, we have work that needs to be done."
Then I heard Olette-Chan's voice, call out, "He's right, Luke-Kun. We need to get moving."
For a split second I thought I saw something in Lucemon-San's eyes, but it was gone before I knew it, then he said, "Well, you heard the lovely lady, let's move out." And with that he walked out the door.
I nodded and shortly followed after him, then I turned to Dorumon-San and Rouge-San and said, "Come on, you two let's move out." Then I headed for the door, but stopped when Lucemon-San's words finally registered. "Wait! You can hear Olette-Chan!?"
Lucemon turned to me and said, "Olette? So, that's her name. Huh, interesting. And Yes, I can hear her, but I can also see her."
Then Rouge-San pointed to my right and said, "We can see her too, Emo-Sama."
Then I turned to Olette-Chan, and actually looked at her, she was hovering right next to me, then I said, "She's visible. She's visible? But, how?"
Crescemon-Sama then looked at the ghostly image of Olette-Chan and said, "It is possible, that with each passing day, whatever power Olette-San holds, seems to grow stronger and stronger each day, and now, she must have accumulated enough power to allow her to become visible to others, instead of just yourself, Luke-San."
"So, that means I could finally meet your friends in person, Luke-Kun?" Olette-Chan asked with tears of joy threatening to burst from her eyes.
I smiled brightly, while blushing at the same time, happy to know that, my closest friend will finally be able to meet the team in person, then I said, "Yeah, I suppose it does. Heh, I guess this give us yet another reason to head back to the others, doesn't it, Olette-Chan?"
Olette-Chan practically shot up into the air and started flying around the ceiling cheering with joy, seeing her like this, reminds me of our time in Toy Town, where we got to experience Monzaemon-San's Heart Attack Hug Version, where seeing her laugh and giggle brought a warm feeling in my heart. But before I could think anymore, I giggled and said, "Come on, Olette-Chan, we have got to go."
Olette-Chan practically flew at me, at first I thought she was going to knock me off my feet, but she stopped right in front of me with a face splitting smile on her face and said, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go, Luke-Kun!" Then she flew right out through the door.
I shook my head and chuckled and asked, "She's definitely something else, that's for sure." Then Lucemon-San, Dorumon-San, and Rouge-San all followed her out the door. I soon followed after them.
Just as I approached the door to leave, I turned to Crescemon-Sama and said, "I want to thank you, for everything, Crescemon-Sama. If not for you, I probably wouldn't have gotten back to my original self without your help, so, thank you." I then bowed to her, respectfully.
Crescemon-Sama returned the bow, and said, "It is I who should be thanking you, Luke-San, for saving my people, as well as myself. Without your interference, I would have been deleted, and my village would be without a leader, so, thank you." She then politely bowed, and I returned the gesture.
Once we returned to our regular positions, Crescemon-Sama had a soft smile appear on her face as she said, "And besides, I do believe that you said it was young Olette-San who really got you on your feet again."
I lightly blushed, remembering what Olette-Chan did and said to me, then I remembered how much she has changed my life since I first met her, "Yeah, she really did. I don't know what I would do without her. She has really changed my life." After I said that, I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up.
Crescemon-Sama must have noticed this and lightly chuckled in a very teasing manner as she said, "Oh, do you have feelings for young Olette-San, Lukas-San?"
I blushed like mad and began stuttering like a mad man, then I stupidly said, "Wha? But I... I haven't known her all that long. And besides, she doesn't even remember her past."
I truly did care for her, don't get me wrong, but, I didn't want to rush things. "I want to be her friend, but, I also feel like there is a part of me that wants to be more then just friends. Besides, she is literally a part of me, she does live inside my mind, after all."
That was another reason why I didn't want to rush things, if things go wrong, and I screw something up, that would cost me Olette-Chan's friendship, it would be hard for us to just, avoid each other.
Then I told Crescemon-Sama, "If I end up ruining our friendship because of this, it will be very awkward between us, and she could end up resenting me because of it, and I don't think I could handle it if that were to happen. She's my closest friend, even moreso then Dorumon-San. And I just don't want to lose her, just because she doesn't like me back."
Crescemon-Sama knelt down to me and said in a very serious tone, one that I haven't heard from her before, "If you truly care for her, with all your heart, then you must give her a chance. Don't wait too long, or you will regret it. Now, be honest with me, do you really have feelings for Olette-San, Lukas-San?"
I sighed in defeat and admitted, "Honestly, before today, I wouldn't know myself. Now, however, when I had my nightmare earlier today, I saw all of my friends, and heard how they hated me and called me a traitor."
Crescemon-Sama then asked, "And how did that make you feel?" Sounding like some kind of therapist.
"Weak. Every word they said, it cut deeper than any blade ever could. But then," I had to hold back the tears, remembering the words that the nightmare version of Olette-Chan had said to me, and I said, "I heard Olette-Chan say she would never trust me again, and then she said that we were no longer friends." I said with tears threatening to burst from my eyes.
Crescemon-Sama then seemed to have a sympathetic expression on her face as she asked me, "And, how did that make you feel, Luke-San?" She actually sounded both concerned and intrigued at what I might say.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down as I said, "Broken. I felt broken. Like I had died on the inside, I had truly felt my heart break. The anger of my friends, I could handle, but the anger, and betrayal I heard from Olette-Chan. There are no words that could ever describe what I felt." I had to do everything in my power not to burst into tears from remembering everything.
Crescemon-Sama slightly nodded and softly said, "Then you already know the answer. Now all you have to do is tell her."
I felt uncomfortable and I said, "I want tell her, I really do. But, I just want to wait a little bit to get to know her a little longer, maybe, just maybe, after we get this whole Devimon situation taken care of, I might talk to her."
Crescemon-Sama nodded with a slight smile, then she said, "Do what you wish, Lukas-San, but don't wait too long, or you could end up regretting it. Take what had already happened as a lesson. You waited to long to tell your friends the truth, and, in the end, it almost destroyed you."
I slowly nodded as I turned and opened the door, then I said, "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again, Crescemon-Sama. And I'll see you another time."
Crescemon-Sama waved goodbye as she said, "And I hope you have a safe and enjoyable adventure, young Luke-San."
I then closed my eyes and took three deep breaths, trying to get my emotions into check, times like these are why I am glade that I practiced some form of meditation in my past life, I was never able to really experience the total peace that you could have, but controlling my emotions? That I did learn how to do.
Once my heart was no longer running at two hundred miles an hour, I smiled as I walked out of the cathedral where Lucemon-San, Dorumon-San, Rouge-San and Olette-Chan were all waiting for me, I rubbed the back of my head in embarrassment while chuckling awkwardly and asked, "Uh, did I keep you all waiting?"
Lucemon-San chuckled and shook his head and said, "Nah, I told them that Crescemon-San loves to take her time to embarrass others, and I politely asked Olette-San to stay out of your mind to let you have some privacy." I swear, the smile that Lucemon-San got on his face while speaking was one of those crud eating grins that made know that he had somehow knew what Crescemon-Sama and I were talking about.
Olette-Chan then floated up to me and asked, "So, Luke-Kun, you ready to go?"
I smiled brightly, as well as have a slight tint spread across my cheeks, and but said, "First, I think something to eat would be nice, after all, we haven't really eaten all day."
Lucemon nodded and led us to a place where we could grab a quick bite to eat, as we were eating, I decided to ask Lucemon-San something. "Hey, Lucemon-San."
Lucemon-San looked up at me and asked, "Yes, Luke-San? What is it?"
I took a bite out of an apple and said, "Before you said that you weren't the same Lucemon from the war, yet, you also said that you were created by Ogudomon. How can that be?"
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "I was wondering when you were going to ask that question." Lucemon-San then looked at me and asked, "Tell me something, Luke-San. You said that, where you're from, Digimon was just a TV series, right?"
I nodded, letting him know he was correct, then I said, "Yes, what of it, Lucemon-San?"
Lucemon-San took a bite out of a banana, peel and all, then he asked, "Tell me something, do the names Takuya Kanbara, Koji Minamoto, Junpei 'J.P.' Shibayama, Zoe Orimoto, Tommy Himi, and Kochi Kimura, sound familiar?"
I sat there, with my jaw on the table as I asked, "You mean, the human children who hold the spirits of the Legendary Warriors of Agunimon, Lobomon, Beetlemon, Kazemon, Kumamon, and Löwemon? Those human children?"
Lucemon-San simply nodded and said, "Correct. The Legendary Warriors of Fire, Light, Thunder, Wind, Ice, and Darkness."
I was confused as to why Lucemon-San was asking me this, "Why would you bring them up? I mean, they worked together to…defeat…you…before…going…home. You don't mean that…" I asked, losing all sense of my words.
But, Lucemon-San simply nodded and said, "Yes, indeed. It was thanks to them that I was finally, completely, free of Ogudomon's influence."
I tried to think of what he meant, then it hit me. "You were infused with part of the Digital Hazard, as well as Ogudomon's power. So, even if the Zero Unit helped you break free from his control, after you ended the war between the Human type, and Beast type Digimon, you were once again being controlled, or at the very least, corrupted by the Digital Hazard. Am I right?"
Lucemon-San nodded and said, "You got it in one, Luke-San. Yes, as much as the Zero Unit tried to help me, it wasn't enough. It was only thanks to those 'meddling kids' that I was able to finally, completely be purged of Ogudomon's influence, and become reborn as who I am now."
I was completely shocked at this, then I asked, "How long ago was this, Lucemon-San? Sure this had to have been quite a few years ago, right?" I mean, this had to have been at least, ten years ago, right?
But then Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "Surprisingly, it wasn't THAT long ago, Luke-San. Probably only, say, three, maybe, four Earth years ago."
My mind was blank, 'Four years ago? Then, that would mean, that, when Highton View Terrance was becoming a battleground for Greymon and Parrotmon, that Takuya and his team were fighting for the Digital World.' I couldn't comprehend it, to think that, one of the most dangerous fights that the Digital World has ever seen, was taken place only a few years ago.
Lucemon-San chuckled and said, "Yeah, I bet it could be quite surprising, but, it was thanks to those kids, purging me of my very own darkness, that I was able to be here today."
I was silent for a long time, eating very slowly as I digested what Lucemon-San had told me. Then, with Lucemon-San explained, I turned to Rouge-San and asked, "What about you, Rouge-San? How did you end up on File Island?"
Rouge-San looked at me and said, "To tell you the truth, the only reason why I am here on File Island was because I got into a fight while as Lilithmon, and I didn't come out on top. Got myself turned into nothing but data, and ended up in Primary Village."
She then took a drink from her coconut bowl of water and said, "Stayed there for, about two Digital World Years, then, once I became Shadow Gatomon, I left, but I was done with the whole, doom and gloom crud that old man Ogudomon sprouted. In fact, when that Black Gear hit me, it had only been about two months since I left Primary Village. And the rest, you know."
I had to say, I was honestly surprised to hear that these two Digimon, born from the embodiment of evil, only to be bested in combat and be reborn into nicer Digimon, well, in Rouge-San's case, an 'I don't care about anybody's feelings' kind of Digimon.
After that, we all finished our meals, then I smiled then I said, "Alright, now that we have eaten, and I learned more about you guys, let's go! Lucemon-San, if you'd please? Lead the way."
Lucemon-San nodded, then as we all stood up, he said, "Very well then. Follow me."
We started walking away from the village and we saw massive mountains up ahead in the distance, I then looked over to Lucemon-San and asked, "So, where are these Black Gears, Lucemon-San? Somewhere very hidden, I bet."
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "And you'd be right, Luke-San. They are over in those mountains, hidden underneath the very rocks."
Then Olette-Chan floated up next to Lucemon-San and asked, "If you know where they are, then why haven't you taken care of them?" She actually brought up a good point.
Then Dorumon-San looked at the Demon Lord of Pride suspiciously as he asked, "Yeah, what is up with that?"
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "What do you think I was doing? I only came to Crescemon-San's village in order to check up on her, and rest up. Just because I am the Demon Lord of Pride, doesn't mean that I have unlimited power, you know?"
That suddenly brought up a great question. "That reminds me. How do you and Crescemon know each other? Don't take this too personally, but it just seems kinda weird, that you and Crescemon would be friends. So, how'd you two become friends?" I asked curiously, but also politely.
I was giving Lucemon a chance to show me that he wants to help me, it would do me no good if I were to step on any toes right now. While he told me of how he was 'reborn' I was just too curious as to how these two Digimon became friends.
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and asked, "Really, that's the question you ask me? How we became friends? Not, 'Why are you helping me?' Or 'Where are the other Demon Lords?' No, you first ask how we became friends? You are something else, Luke-San."
I lightly chuckled and said, "Well, you have to admit, it is a good question to ask. Besides, you explained how you were 'reborn' and assisting me, and Rouge-San is traveling with me, and I can almost guarantee that Belphemon is off somewhere in a deep dark cave, sleeping. As long as the other Demon Lords don't try to kill me any time soon, I should be fine, so, how did the two of you meet?"
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "It was a long time ago. Four years on Earth is decades in the Digital World at the moment, Luke-San, remember that. Anyways, back then she was just a Lunamon, I was traveling through the area when I heard the sounds of fighting, I followed the sound and soon found a Lunamon being attacked by a trio of Goblimon."
There was something in his voice, a passion, and a protective emotion that was flowing through me as he spoke. "I couldn't just let her be destroyed when I could help, so, I ran to help out, I defeated the trio of Goblimon and they ended up running away. After I made certain that they were gone, I tended to the Lunamon, after making sure that she wasn't injured I asked her what she was doing out there."
I was honestly surprised, not only was Lucemon-San actually telling me his story, but he actually sounded genuine. No hint of deception or anything. 'Maybe he really is a changed mon, and not as bad as I believed him to be.' I thought to myself.
"She told me that she was going for a walk to enjoy the peace and quite, when she was attacked. She thanked me for my help, and said that if I was ever in the area, to come and visit her in the village, then she returned to her home. After that day, I'd visit her once every three to four days. We ended up becoming close friends, and when I heard that she was chosen as the new leader of the village, I arrived and congratulated her for her success." Lucemon-San said.
I was shocked, and so was everyone else, "Wow. That's incredible, Lucemon-San." I said in amazement.
Lucemon-San brushed his hair out of his face and said, "Yeah, I guess it is." I noticed that Lucemon-San was looking dead ahead and had a serious look on his face, I looked in front of us and saw a large mountain, not Infinity Mountain large, but is was large nonetheless.
But I also saw something up ahead, I got the feeling that we were going to be attacked, then I turned to the ghostly apparition of Olette-Chan and said, "Olette-Chan, please rest in my mind for a while, we are going to have company soon."
Olette-Chan must have known what I was talking about, cause she nodded in a serious motion, then she disappeared from view, I held my D-Ark in my left hand and grabbed a Modify Card with my right, I looked at Dorumon-San, Rouge-San and Lucemon-San, we all nodded and with caution, we walked up to the figures.
Dorumon-San started growling lightly, then he asked, "Why are we heading straight for them? Shouldn't we go around or something?"
Lucemon-San shook his head and said, "No. This is the fastest way to our destination, if we were to go around, it would take up too much time."
I nodded in agreement and said, "Yeah, and I have already wasted enough of my time running from the fight, for once, I would be the one to run towards the fight. You scared, Dorumon-San?"
Dorumon-San smirked at me and said, "Nope. Just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page."
I returned the smirk, then I turned to Rouge-San and asked, "You ready for this, Rouge-San? It could get tricky."
Rouge-San gave me a cocky smirk and said, "Kid, I clashed the Thirteen Royal Knights before, these guys will be nothing but a minor annoyance."
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "True, but remember, we do not know if the are hostile or not, just be cautious."
We all nodded and walked towards the mountain, as we got closer, we were starting to see the figures more and more clearly. I actually had to blink several times, then I said, "Ok, either I'm going crazy now and Ogremon-Baka has multiplied and created two freaky clones, or we might have two Ogremon-Teme's who have had a color palate swap."
Lucemon-San lightly chuckled and said, "No, Luke-San. They are a variant of Ogremon. The red one is Fugamon. He is of the same battle loving, violent family of Digimon of Ogremon. His Heavy Swing, just like Ogremon's Pummel Whack, will leave you with a major headache, if he hasn't already cracked your skull open, that is. And his Evil Hurricane is just as deadly.
The white one is Hyogamon, an Ice varent of Ogremon, if you have accidentally wandered into his territory, you better hope you have good life insurance, because he will take no mercy on you. His Ice Mace is just as dangerous as Fugamon's Heavy Swing and Ogremon's Pummel Whack, better watch out. And his Snow Punch will hit you hard and fast, be careful."
I nodded slowly and had my D-Ark and Modify Card ready for anything, just as we approached the two Ogremon clones, Fugamon-Teme smiled viciously and said, "Well, what do we have here? A human brat and three loser Digimon, too easy."
Hyogamon-Teme nodded with the same vile smile on him as he said, "Yeah, for us. Just surrender now and we may promise you a quick and painless death, not!"
I glared at the two ugly ogres and said, "Bring it, uglies. I'll have you know, we aren't push overs, ready guys?" I asked as I placed my sunglasses over my eyes, ready for this fight.
Dorumon-San smirked as he said, "Let me at them, Luke-San. I need to floss my teeth with something, like maybe, their spines, perhaps." Dorumon-San's smirk went from cocky, to down right vicious, and I could feel my own smirk progressing into a vicious grin as well.
Rouge-San then looked down at her claws and nonchalantly replied with, "I still need to file my nails on something, their faces would do just fine." The way Rouge-San looked at her claws the entire time showed just how relaxed she was.
Lucemon-San seemed to chuckle at the Digimon's responses and he said, "You seem to bring out the viciousness of these two, Luke-San, shouldn't you be concerned about that?" But I also saw him cracking his knuckles as he spoke.
I cracked my neck as I chuckled and said, "Honestly, I'm fine with them like this, it makes things more interesting."
Hyogamon-Teme and Fugamon-Teme seemed to become furious at our lack of fear, then they charged at us, I smirked wildly and said, "Now, the game begins." I don't know why, but ever since my battle with Kabukimon-San, I seem to be getting more and more excited about fights, maybe it's because I have finally broken out of my shell of fear and doubts that I have finally begun to truly show my fangs.
Lucemon-San, Dorumon-San, and Rouge-San all charged in, but just as the two Ogremon clones were about to attack, I raised up my D-Ark and shouted, "Lucemon-San, Rouge-San! Fall back, now! Digivolution, Activate!"
Then Dorumon-San began glowing in a bright light, and the two Demon Lords suddenly stopped, while the newly Digivolved Dorugamon-San charged at the two Ogremon-Teme clones who were taken by surprise by the sudden Digivolution, and knocked away from each other.
Then I turned to the two Demon Lords and said, "Rouge-San, you and Lucemon-San take on Hyogamon-Teme, Dorugamon-San, we got Fugamon-Baka." The three Digimon nodded and Lucemon-San and Rouge-San went after the ice ogre, while Dorugamon-San landed in front of me, I nodded and jumped on his back as we took on Fugamon-Teme.
Fugamon-Teme was getting back up and gripped his Boney weapon, while rubbing his jaw, he looked up at us and said, "If you were going to delete us, you should have done it when you had the chance. Now, you will taste defeat. Evil Hurricane!"
Fugamon-Teme launched a storm of meteors from his club that gathered together to make a Leomon esq Fist Of The Beast King attack, but in the shape of Fugamon's face,
I gripped on tightly to Dorugamon-San's fur and shouted, "Doru-San, barrel roll to the right, now!"
Dorugamon-San nodded and rotated to the right, avoiding Fugamon-Baka's attack, then Dorugamon-San charged up a metal sphere in his mouth, then I asked, "Ready, Doru-San?"
Dorugamon-San nodded, then we both glared at Fugamon-Teme, then we both yelled, "Power Metal!" Then Dorugamon launched the large ball of iron at the red Ogremon-Baka, but just when it looked like the attack would connect, Fugamon-Teme used his boney club to launch the attack right back at us, we were both to shocked to react and we were hit out of the sky.
I was launched off of Dorugamon-San and crashed a few feet away from him, I was sore all over, but I still went to grab a Modify Card from my Deck Box when a shadow blocked out the sun. I looked up and saw Fugamon-Teme was standing right in front of me, smiling devilish, then he said, "Sorry, boy, but you'll have to try harder then that to get rid of me." He then raised his club in the air and said, "Nothing personal, Heavy Swing!"
I watched as everything went into slow motion as the club was about to hit me, I laid there, ready to die when Olette-Chan's voice called out, "LUKE-KUN! GET UP!"
That call sparked something in me, 'Olette-Chan!' If I were to die here, then I would never be able to tell her anything, I would never be able to admit my feelings for her, never be able to see my friends again. Never be able to see my precious Imouto again.
That was when I felt something build up inside of me, and almost like instinct, and in a split second, I reached for my Modify Cards, and pulled one out, then I held it out in front of me in between my pointer finger and middle finger, and shouted as loud as I could, "Alias! Activate!" Then I watched as the Modify Card begin to glow in a bright green glow, before it exploded in a bright light, causing me to close my eyes.
Then I felt my entire body begin to vibrate and suddenly I felt myself move, and when I didn't feel the attack land, I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I was no longer in front of Fugamon-Teme, but ten feet away from him. 'What…just…happened?' I asked myself in confusion.
Then I heard Olette-Chan ask, "Luke-Kun? But, how?" From the tone of Olette-Chan's voice, I could tell that she was just as confused as I was.
I looked to where I once was and saw a ghostly image of myself laying down with the Modify Card still in my hand raised right in front of me. I watched as Fugamon-Teme swung down on the ghostly image of me, only to watch it turn into dust.
Fugamon-Teme was taken by surprise that his attacked missed, but his distraction was all Dorugamon-San needed to charge a Cannonball through Fugamon-Teme, but Fugamon-Teme still got up and gave Dorugamon-San a vicious smirk as he said, "Sorry, fox, but I'm not going down that easily." Then he raised his large boney club and said, "Heavy Swing!"
Just as he was about to bring down his club onto my partner, I instantly drew out another Modify Card, as well as my D-Ark and said, "DigiModify, Crescemon's Luna Nova: Activate!"
Just as Fugamon-Teme brought down his club, Dorugamon-San raised up his left arm and a large silver crescent shaped shield formed and blocked the attack, then Dorugamon-San raised his right arm as a massive battle axe appeared, then he said, "Lunatic Dance! Hah!"
Then Dorugamon-San began 'dancing' around Fugamon-Teme, who was very confused, and he let his guard down for a single second, and that was all Dorugamon-San needed, and quickly struck at Fugamon, knocking him into the air and launching a Black Gear into the sky, then Fugamon-Teme fell to the ground, face first.
I heard the sound of rapid footsteps and I turned to see Rouge-San and Lucemon-San running towards me. I slowly sat up and made sure that everything was still in one piece, then I breathed a sigh of relief. Then Lucemon-San ran up to me and asked, "Lukas-San! What happened to you?"
Before I could speak, the area where I once was began to glow bright green, and a dust of green data start to accumulate and rushed towards me, I raised my right arm in defense, only to feel something appear in my hand. I opened my eyes to see my Alias Modify card had appeared in my hands. "What the heck?"
Dorugamon-San flew up to me and said, "Luke-San, what just happened? One minute you were about to become a pancake, the next, I see you get teleported away from Fugamon-Baka. What happened?"
I looked at my Modify Card and slowly said, "I think, I think I just used my own Modify Card on myself to escape. But how? I'm not a Digimon, and I know that I shouldn't be able to do something like that."
Then Olette-Chan appeared next to me and she said, "Well, maybe, maybe it has something to do with what happened earlier, Luke-Kun. Remember, you were dragged into your own mind, and you banished Devimon-Baka's dark influence from it, then we all placed our fists against each other, and we returned to reality, maybe it had a side effect on you."
I slowly nodded and said, "Yeah, that could be. But I also noticed that the Modify Card turned into data when I used it."
Lucemon-San then placed his hand on his chin and said, "So that means, if you use a Modify Card on yourself, that is, if you could do it again, if this wasn't a one time deal, then you wouldn't be able to use your Modify Cards on Dorumon-San if you use them on yourself first."
I nodded in agreement, then I looked at the two unconscious Digimon and asked, "What do we do about them?"
Lucemon-San looked towards the two knocked out Digimon and chuckled, then he said, "Those two will probably wake up in an hour or so and go their separate ways, it is best if we leave now. They have a habit of fighting until they are unconscious, if we leave now, we could possibly avoid another fight."
I nodded, agreeing that the sooner we take care of the Black Gears, the sooner we can return to our friends, and said, "Yeah, I think one life threatening event is enough for me. Let's just get to the Black Gears and get out of here."
I tried to get up, but I quickly fell on my butt, then Lucemon-San extended his hand to me and gave me a friendly smile, I smiled back and grabbed it. He then lifted me up off of the ground and as I was brushing myself off, I said, "Thanks, now then, how far are we from the Gears?"
Lucemon-San pointed to a small part of hills that were near his battle field and said, "Right over there. I had actually knocked Hyogamon-Baka into the cliff during our fight."
I sighed in relief at how close I was to reuniting with my friends. Then I said, "Well, let's finish this off." We all walked up to the mountain and saw the Black Gears all spinning towards the left, then I looked at Dorugamon-San, who still had the Luna Nova, and asked, "Hey, Doru-San, can I see the axe for a second?" Dorugamon-San nodded and handed me the large axe, at first I was taken back by the weight of the weapon, but after I got myself balanced, I said, "Now then, time to get this island moving back to File Island! Hah!" Then I swung the large axe at the gears, and they had suddenly stopped. Then they slowly started moving backwards.
We all felt the island move backwards, then I looked off into the direction where we were heading and said, "Just you wait, guys. I'm coming. And Devimon-Teme, you will pay for messing with my head, that's a promise."
Lucemon-San then said, "Well, while I would love to help you, Luke-San. I need to go."
"Go?" The four of us asked in confusion.
Lucemon-San chuckled and said, "Yeah, you know, I have things I need to take care of, like making sure the other Demon Lords are still alive and staying out of trouble, and what not."
I was sad at this, true I wasn't certain about Lucemon-San at first, but I had actually begun to like his company. He wasn't that bad of a guy. "Will we ever see each other again, Lucemon-San?" I asked him.
Lucemon-San smiled at me and rubbed my hair in a playful manner and said, "Maybe one day, kid. Until then, here, take this."
Lucemon-San then went into his cloak and pulled out a bandana of some kind, he then gave it to me, I looked at him and asked, "What is it?"
He smiled and said, "Just a reminder that it is not always bad to be prideful, just as long as you remember to be humble as well."
I looked at the bandana and saw that it had a three pronged trident, almost like an upwards facing capital 'E' with a line coming down from the middle line and forming into a circle, and another circle with a small dot above the middle line of the 'E'. I was shocked at this. "The Symbol of the crest of pride?" I asked in shock.
Lucemon-San chuckled and said, "Yes. Keep it to remind yourself about me, and how awesome I am." He said the last part with joy and a large smirk on his face.
I couldn't help but to chuckle and said, "You truly are prideful, Lucemon-San. But you always must remember that..."
Lucemon-San nodded, already knowing what I was going to say, and he said, "That Pride always comes before the fall. Right you are, Luke-San. It is always best you remember that. After all, you never know what could happen."
I nodded then Rouge-San walked up to Lucemon-San and said, "See you around, brother. Give the others my regards, and maybe, punch Daemon-Teme in the face for me. I still owe him a major beat down."
Lucemon-San chuckled as he rubbed the black cat's head and said, "I will, Rouge-San, I will. See you around." And with that, Lucemon-San took off, leaving us all behind.
I looked down at the bandana for a long while, then I handed my sunglasses to Dorumon-San and said, "Hold onto it for a second." Then I brought the bandana up to my forehead and tied it there, and made sure that it was on tight, then I motioned for my sunglasses, and I placed them on the bandana.
"I promise, I will never give into my own fears ever again. Now, the days of me hiding in the shadows, and lying to my friends are over. Once we take care of Devimon-Teme, I will tell them the truth. And I hope that you guys will stand by my side when I do tell them." But I gave them a knowing smirk.
They all returned the smirk and Dorumon-San said, "Jeremy-San, I will always have your back, even if it was the apocalypse, I will always stand by your side."
I smiled at my partner, but I could feel my right eye twitch at hearing him call me Jeremy-San, but I didn't say anything. Then Rouge said, "Well, Emo-Sama," I could feel the twitching of my right eye begin to get worse at Rouge-San's nickname for me. Then she said, "You were able to accept the fact that I was once Lilithmon of Lust, plus, I happen to enjoy annoying the ever living daylights out of you and your friends, so, yeah, I'm in." Yeash, couldn't she be a little more nicer to me and my friends.
Then I turned to Olette-Chan, the girl who I have actually grown attached to, the one who is stealing my heart, then she said, "No matter where you go, no matter how for you travel, Luke-Kun, I will always be by your side, every step of the way. Until the very end."
I smiled brightly, and could feel my checks burning up, then I said, "Thanks, everyone, now then, let's go. We have a devil to vanquish!" I raised up my fist into the air and they all followed and we placed our fists together and said, "Yeah!"
And so, the cloaked figure ended up being Lucemon Of Pride, Rouge-San ended up being Lilithmon Of Lust, and I ended up using a Modify Card on myself. Just another strange day on File Island, but now that we are heading back to the others, will we be able to defeat him, or will he destroy us? Will the gang be able to understand why I had to lie to them? Will I be able to understand how I used the Alias Modify Card on myself? And, will I be able to confess my feelings to Olette? Only time will tell. So, stay tuned for the next chapter of Digimon: New Life!
Thechaosmaster: And there we have it. Another awesome chapter written by yours truly! And yes, Lukas has started developing feelings for Olette, but he wants to get to know her first. Lucemon being the cloaked figure, who was expecting that? Well, I couldn't tell because almost no one did, besides my usual reviewer Yuutojaden, and Aster's Decendents. Keep on reviewing you guys, and girls. And the bandana is not going to be some kind of all powerful artifact, just a reminder, that is all. Now then, am I planning something? Who knows? All I know is that I have another chapter to write. Also, once the Devimon Arc is completed, I will be changing the stories summery, to what? I don't know yet, but it will happen. Well, read, AND REVIEW COME ON GUYS! LEAVE ME YOUR REVIEWS! AS I SAID, IF I DON'T GET AT LEAST FIVE REVIEWS I WILL NOT UPLOAD THE NEXT CHAPTER WHEN IT'S DONE! JUST FIVE REVIEWS FROM FIVE DIFFERENT READERS IS ALL I WANT! But until next time.
CHAOS CONTROL!
Thechaosmaster: And, here we have it. The final update for the night, I hope you all enjoy it. It was, a bit challenging to edit, and yes. Digimon Frontier happened before Adventure 01, in this story, at least, by about three to four years. Will this lead to something? Eh, I don't know. If it does, it won't be until season 2 or maybe during the Tamers season. It depends on how I feel about it.
Blossom: By the way, who was it that defeated Lilithmon, to make her be deleted and sent to Primary Village?
Chaos: Well, I can't really decide right now, but, even if I did, I don't think Rouge would ever tell, she isn't the kind of Digimon who would tell who had defeated her. If you readers want to know, I'll try to set up something, maybe, it could take a while to find the kind of mon who Rouge could possibly have been defeated.
Blossom: Well, this will be all for now, hope you lot enjoyed this chapter.
Chaos: Yeah, it really would mean a lot if you enjoyed it.
Blossom: Bye bye.
CHAOS CONTROL!
