Thechaosmaster: Howdy ho, everyone! I am back with another chapter! That is right, two days later. I may have only gotten four reviews, but I got three ANs so that counts to me. Now then, I just want to celebrate the fact that Digimon New Life has finally finished it's first Arc! Yep, this marks the end of the Devimon Saga! That means that I can get to the really cool parts of the story! The Crest Hunting Arc. But more on that later.

Thechaosmaster: Wow, two days later and another chapter update has been finished? The world really must be ending. ; )

Blossom: I have to say, Boss, why has it taken you so long to update these chapters? If you can update them this quickly, then, why aren't you finished already?

Chaos: To be honest? I have no idea. I could blame my ADHD, but I already used that excuse. I will just blame myself, because I have no one TO blame but myself.

Blossom: What do you mean, boss?

Chaos: Well, I am the only one working on this story, I have no one but myself to edit this story, and while I would like extra help, as I have stated before, I like doing this on my own, that way, if I mess up, it will because of me, not someone else, and, with what I have planned, I must keep things close to my heart, or else, someone might say that I shouldn't do this, or that I should do that, and what not.

Blossom: So, you prefer to keep the story ideas to yourself, that way it will be how you want it, smart.

Chaos: Yes, well, this chapter went from a merely eight thousand and something words, to over ten thousand.

Chapter 11: TK's Guardian Angel

We were returning to the others. Slowly, me, Dorumon-San, Rouge-San, and, the girl who I am falling for, Olette-Chan, we were all standing, or in Olette-Chan's case, floating, on the shores of the Lunamon village, watching as Infinity Mountain got closer and closer to us ever so slowly, I gripped my Digivice tightly and looked to my friends, we all nodded, knowing what it is that we have to do.

"You guys ready for this? This time we can make no mistakes, we have to trust each other, and have faith in our team, only then can we actually come out on top." I said with pure determination in my voice.

Dorumon-San gave me a genuine, but toothy smile as he said, "You know that I will always put my trust in you, Luke-San. We are partners, after all."

While Rouge-San gave me an actual smile, which was surprising, seeing how she would always have a vicious smirk on her face, then she said, "Gem Face is right, Emo-Sama. I'm sticking with you, Gem Face, and your ghostly friend. Besides, I really want to trim that Teme's wings really bad right now." And there was her vicious smirk. One that promised pain to all who got in her way.

Olette-Chan nodded in agreement, and I knew that she was still upset with what Devi-Teme did to me, which, warmed my heart, then she smiled softly as she said, "Indeed. Devimon-Baka will pay for what he almost did to you, Luke-Kun. And I'm not going to allow you to be on you own any longer."

I smiled at all of my friends, happy to know that, after all that we went through, we were standing together, and finishing what was started. I sensed someone walking up behind us, and I figured there was only one Digimon who would come and see us of, then I turned to the approaching Digimon and said, "You come to see us off, Crescemon-Sama?"

The others turned to see the giant armored rabbit walking up to us, then she said, "I have, as well as to wish you all good luck and safe travels. Remember, true strength comes from within."

I nodded, understanding her words, learning that very truth not so long ago. Then, seeing that it was best to not wast any more time, I raised up my D-Ark and looked towards the bright blue sky and said, "This is it. The time for running is over. We have friends to see, and evil to vanquish. Digivolution, Activate!"

Dorumon-San then began glowing and soon he Digivolved into Dorugamon, I hopped onto Doru-San's back, and Rouge-San jumped onto my backpack and said, "You know something, Emo-Sama, I think I might enjoy riding in this backpack of yours. It's very comfortable."

I turned to the Demon of Lust and said, "Just as long as you don't touch, or shred my notebooks, Rouge-San."

Rouge looked at me and asked, "Why? They're just books, right?"

I chuckled and said, "No, those notebooks are my hobbies while here. One I have used to chronicle all the events that have happened so far. But, I haven't had the time to write in it since Devi-Baka broke apart the island."

Rouge-San seemed to see what I was talking about and she said, "Ah. That makes sense. Maybe a waste of good paper, but, you do you, Emo-Sama." I swear, it was hard to tell if she was being honest, or not.

Then Olette-Chan floated right next to me and gave me a gentle smile, which I kindly returned. I then turned to Crescemon-Sama one last time and said, "Thanks again for all you have done, Crescemon-Sama. I'll be sure to visit if I ever get the chance!"

Crescemon-Sama simply waved at me and said, "Just as long as you keep on defending the Digital World, take all the time you need!"

I nodded, then I placed my Sunglasses over my eyes, and made sure that my new bandana was tightly fastened on my head, "Alright, Dorugamon-San, next stop, Infinity Mountain!"

Dorugamon-San looked back at me and nodded, then he started flapping his large wings and we were soon air born and heading for Infinity Mountain. During our flight I kept going over what Crescemon-Sama had told me, and my thoughts kept going to Olette-Chan, but before I could think any more, I saw a large blue wolf and a large orange dinosaur running at incredible speed.

"Dorugamon-San! Over there! I think I see Garurumon-San and Greymon-San! That means that Tai and Matt are in the area!" I said as I pointed in the direction of the forest.

And to prove my point, we all watched a a stream of blue fire burnt through the heavily dense forest. I looked to Dorugamon-San and said, "Follow the direction of that stream of fire, NOW!"

Doru-San silently nodded and flew towards the the forest, before the sky was blocked by the trees, I could have sworn that I saw Birdramon-San and Ikkakumon-San heading in our direction. But as I focused on the subject at hand, I heard the unmistakable voice of Matt-San yelling out, "Takeru-San!" Then we arrived at a clearing, but I halted Dorugamon-San, we all saw Ogremon-Baka holding a tiny white fresh level Digimon.

The giant, green, not to mention, smelly ogre was laughing maniacally as he said, "Now you've done it! This little guy's gonna get squished!" But we watched as my Nii-San carefully removed the baby Digimon from Ogremon-Teme's clutches, then he stupidly asked, "Hey-Where'd he go?"

Then we heard Tai-Nii say, "He's staying with us!"

To which Ogremon-Baka angrily growled as he said, "Over my stinky armpits he will!"

I looked at Dorugamon-San, who looked at me and we both smirked, thinking the same exact thing, then I calmly said, "Dorugamon-San, Power Metal."

Dorugamon-San nodded and started to charge up a large iron sphere in his mouth, I smirked wildly as I said, "Now, FIRE!"

Ogremon-Baka must have heard me, because he then looked towards us, but was struck by the giant ball of metal, sending him backwards. Dorugamon-San landed right in front of Tai-Nii and I snapped my fingers with a smirk and said, "Strike! You're out!"

Then I heard the shout of, "Lukas-San!"

I turned and saw Tai-Nii running towards me, I waved and said, "Hey, Nii-San! Good to see you!"

But I saw Tai-Nii pointing behind me as he shouted, "Look out! Ogremon-Baka!"

I turned and saw the giant green ogre sneaking up behind me, "You have a lot of nerve attacking me like that. Once I'm done with you, your brother is next to be squashed."

Then I sarcastically said, "Ooh, I'm sooo scared. Not!" Not at all scared by this green piece of garbage in front of me.

Then Rouge-San poked her head out and looked at Ogremon-Baka and said, "You know, I was wondering, do you wake up looking that ugly, or does someone punch you in the face before you leave the forest?" She then proceeded to add insult after insult by sticking her tongue out at the ogre.

But this only managed to make Ogre-Baka angry as he said, "Oh, so you think you're funny, huh? You won't be laughing once I'm through with you."

Rouge-San continued to make this guy angry as she said, "You're just as dangerous as a ball of yarn."

Then I heard Tai-Nii chuckle at the way Rouge-San was getting under Ogre-Baka's scaly skin, then I heard him say, "Greymon-San, get 'em!"

Then I smirked viciously as I saw the orange dino charging up a Nova Flame on my right, which the green ogre never noticed, but Rouge-San did, because she started smirking as well. Ogremon-Baka must have noticed our smirks, because he asked, "Hey, what's so funny?"

Both of pointed to our right and I said, "Ogremon-Baka, you're as blind as a bat. And because of your failure to mind your surroundings, you get burned." I quickly jumped on Dorugamon-San's back with Rouge-San returned into my backpack and then Doru-San took to the sky once more.

Ogremon-Baka then, finally looked at Greymon-San, and jumped back just before the Nova Flame hit him. Then he angrily said, "Hey! Since when is two against one fair? Well, I guess someone will have to show you who the head honcho is on this island." He then jumped at Dorugamon-San and tried to swipe at me.

But just as he reached us I brought my right leg in and said, "Dude, back off, you smell worse then Numemon! Taste my shoe! Ha!" I then launched my foot out, and kicked Ogremon-Baka in his massive nose, he recoiled and fell on his back. I looked to my partner and said, "Doru-San, land. Let me and Rouge-San get off so you can have more mobility."

Dorugamon-San nodded and landed in front of Tai-Nii, then I jumped off of Doru-San, and Rouge-San jumped out of my backpack. I patted Dorugamon-San in thanks as I said, "Thanks for the ride, bud. Now go get that ogre!"

Dorugamon-San nodded, then he charged at Ogremon-Baka who dodged the attack, and jumped from a tail swipe from Greymon-San. Then he taunted, "Hah! I could fight you both blindfolded and one arm tied behind my back!"

Then I heard Tai run up and say, "Man, this guy is cocky."

I nodded, but then I heard something sailing through the sky. I looked up and saw, "Oh, no! Black Gears!"

We all watched as several of the Black Gears embedded themselves into Leomon-San's back. Then Greymon-San and Dorugamon-San were struck by two large flaming lion heads. Greymon-San in the gut, and Dorugamon-San in the face. "Ugh!" I called out as I fell to the ground, clenching my lower jaw.

Tai-Nii ran up to me and asked, "Otouto? What happened? How'd you get hurt?"

I slowly stood up as I rubbed my jaw, which actually felt like someone punched me in the chin, and said, "It's strange, sometimes, when Doru-San Digivolves, I start to feel the pain that he feels, and other times, I don't. Don't worry, I'm fine. You should go and check up on Greymon-San." I pulled a Modify Card from my Deck Box as I said, "I still have a few cards up my sleeve. Or, an ace up my sleeve."

Tai-Nii nodded as he ran to his partner, then I heard Leomon-San say, "I am your humble servant and will obey you, Devimon." Then I watched as the shadowy Leomon walked towards TK-Kun.

Then we all Matt-San yell out in a panicked and worried voice, "Takeru-Kun, watch out!"

I looked down at the Modify Card that I just grabbed and saw that it was the Hyperchip Modify Card, then I heard TK-Kun shout out, "What now, Onii-Chan?!"

And then I heard Matt-San yell out, "Hurry! Move away!"

Then I thought, 'Well, no time like the present to see if this would work a second time.' I glanced to Dorugamon-San, who was looking a little dizzy right now. I raised my Modify Card in the air and had one last thought, 'Please, let this work.' Then I opened my eyes and shouted, "Hyperchip, Activate!"

Then the card began glowing in a bright green light, and soon the card dissipated in green dust and was slowly absorbed into me. I felt like I was on the sugar high of the century, then I smirked crazily and said, "Gotta go fast!"

Then in a burst of speed I never went before, I suddenly went from right near Tai-Nii, to grabbing TK-Kun and Patamon-San, TK asked, "Lukas-San?"

I smiled at the little guy and his partner and said, "Hold on tight you guys, you're about to go from zero to sixty in a second." I then looked at the Shadow Leomon-San, who was about to grab us, I smiled wickedly as I saw something falling from the sky, then I said, "Sorry, Leomon-San, but, you're too slow!" Then I dashed out of there, and brought TK-Kun and Patamon-San to Matt-San.

As I was placing my two passengers down, I noticed that Matt-San blinked a couple of times, then he asked, "Luke-San? Since when could you run that fast?"

I smiled brightly and simply said, "Since I had found out that I could, somehow, use the Modify Cards, on myself. How are you two doing, TK-Kun? Patamon-San?" I looked over and saw that they had swirls in their eyes.

Then a dizzy TK-Kun said, "That was fun. Let's do that again." I lightly chuckled as I saw the swirls in the kids eyes, and handed the little guy to his Ani, who nodded his thanks.

Matt-San was about to ask something, when Togemon-San bounced right behind us. Then I nonchalantly said, "Oh, I guess that means Mimi-San's here."

Matt-San stood up and slowly nodded as he said, "Yeah, I guess so."

I then felt someone land right behind me, I turned and smiled, "Dorugamon-San, you ready for another round?"

Dorugamon-San gave me a feral grin as he nodded, then I heard the sound of buzzing, I looked up and saw Izzy-San and Mimi-San flying on Kabuterimon-San, we ran up to them, while Matt-San tired to get TK-Kun out of the line of fire, then Izzy-San said, "Tai-San, you are never going to believe this!"

I heard Tai-Nii run up to us and he asked, "What's happening, Izumi-San?"

Izzy-San jumped off of Kabuterimon and said, "We have the consummate solution to all of our problems."

I smiled at the genius, but was a little, lost as to what he was saying, so, I looked at him and said, "That's cool and all, Izzy, but..."

"What are you talking about?" Tai-Nii finished for me, being equally as confused as I was.

Mimi-San and Izzy-San raised their Digivices and Mimi-San said, "Check 'em out!"

Izzy-San held out his Digivice for all of us to see, then he said, "They call them Digivices. They have the capability to completely obliterate the Black Gear."

Tai-Nii's eyes widened in realization, then he smiled and said, "Then let's give 'em a try."

I cracked my knuckles, ready to get Leomon-San back onto our side, and I said, "Oh, yeah, party time." Everyone looked at me, and I knew what they were going to ask. "After, guys, after."

Then Izzy-San looked towards me, and I could tell, just by the look in his eyes that he wanted answers, then he said, "But, Jeremy-San…" He started.

I raised my hand to stop him, and I shook my head and said, "You guys are possibly angry about my deception, and you have the right to be, but we have our hands full right now." I turned away from then to look at Leomon-San.

I looked over my shoulder and said, "Look, we're going to get Leomon's attention, once I use my D-Ark on Leomon-San, you guys join in with your Digivices. Rouge-San, Dorugamon-San, let's roll!" I then raised up a Modify Card and said, "DigiModify, Crescemon's Luna Nova, Activate!"

Then I swiped it through the D-Ark and Dorugamon-San had the massive axe and shield in his hands, then I raised the card and said, "And now, to have my own weapons."

Izzy-San must have been confused because he asked, "Are you insane, Jeremy-San? You can't fight that guy! You'll be crushed!"

I smirked at the brilliant young man and said, "Crazy? Could be. I have been hearing a voice in my head these past few days, so, who knows?" I could hear Olette-Chan's giggles in my head as I said that, which made me blush very lightly.

Then I closed my eyes, focusing on the objective at hand, clearing my mind from all other distractions, then I opened my eyes, glaring at Leomon-San and I said, "Crescemon's Luna Nova, Activate!" Then the card began glowing in a bright green glow and soon, I had the same weapons that Dorugamon-San had, only these were a little bit smaller to allow me to carry them.

I loved the looks of disbelief on everyone's faces, "Hey, this is new to me too. And to be honest, I have absolutely no idea what it is I'm doing, but there is one thing I do know." I said to my friends with a smile on my face.

Mimi-San tilted her head in slight confusion, and she asked, "And what is that, Jeremy-San?"

I smirked at my friends, then I said, "My name, is not Jeremy. It's Lukas. Lukas 'Kouki' Kamiya. Got it Memorized?" I finished my little nod to the best video game character by pointing my right pointer finger and middle finger at my head, then I turned to Rouge-San and Dorugamon-San and said, "Let's go, guys!" Then, I was gone in a flash.

"You know, the looks on their faces was priceless, Luke-Kun." Olette-Chan told me while giggling cutely.

I chuckled lightly as I said, "Yeah, and did you see the looks on their faces when I dashed out of there? I wish I had a camera." Then I was right in front of Matt-San and TK-Kun and threw my axe at Leomon-San, stopping him from attacking my friends and I said, "Hey, Leomon-San, why don't you pick on someone who can actually fight!"

""Lukas-San!?"" I heard Matt-San and TK-Kun exclaim in shock at my sudden appearance.

I turned to them and gave them a thumbs up. I turned back and saw that Leomon-San's sword had almost cut me in half, but I quickly dashed out of the was, as I slid into a halt, I almost fell over, "Yikes! Still getting used to going this fast. All right then, time to show Leomon the light."

After I regained solid footing on the ground, I gripped my shield in my left arm as I held my D-Ark in my right, then I said, "It's now, or never." I got into a runners starting position, then, I dashed right in front of Leomon-San, with my D-Ark right in front of his chest.

At first nothing happened, but then my D-Ark began glowing, and it caused Leomon-San to flinch in pain, as a Black Gear was launched out of him. Then I saw another flash of light appear on my left, I turned to see Nii-San standing next to me with a smirk on his face. "You really expect me to just leave you this to yourself, Luke-Chan?"

I returned his smirk, while trying, and failing, to hold back the twitching of my right eye and said, "Nope, you were just amazed by my awesomeness, Nii-San."

Then I heard Matt-San say, "You know, these things pack quite a punch." Then he joined in on unleashing light onto Leomon-San. I turned to see how the others were doing, and noticed that they were keeping Ogremon-Baka busy.

'Good. one less problem to worry about.' I thought to both myself, and Olette-Chan. Then I turned my focus back to Leomon-San as the last of the Black Gears were launched out of his back.

Tai-Nii chuckled as he and the rest of us backed away, then he said, "That's bad!" Then the lights of our Digivices begun to fade and Leomon-San started to return to his normal coloring, and then fell to his knees, exhausted.

Then I heard Izzy-San cheer out, "It worked! We destroyed the Black Gears!"

Then I turned and watched as TK-Kun hugged Patamon-San and happily say, "We're safe now. Leomon-San's back to normal."

I suddenly felt a massive chill run down my spine when TK-Kun said that, but I couldn't tell why I had the sense of dread wash over me, but, for now, I decided to shake it off, after looking around to make certain that Ogremon-Baka wasn't gonna try a sneak attack.

Once I was certain that the cost was clear, I out stretched my hand and the axe that was left lying on the ground and the shield in my other hand, soon turned to dust and I watched as my whole body was enveloped into green data, then all of that data centered in between my fingers, and my two Modify Cards appeared in my fingers.

Then I heard Nii-San whistle in amazement and he said, "Wow, Otouto, that was awesome! Can you teach me how to do that?"

I chuckled at Nii-San's question, but, I was happy to be reunited with my friends and Ani. I shook my head and held up my pointer finger and said, "I don't even know how I do it, Ani, I just, do. Besides, I am not teaching anyone how to use these cards because for one, you Digivices are different then mine."

Then I added another finger and said, "For two, these Modify Cards help me give Dorumon-San the boost when he needs it, and for three, the last thing I need on my mind is one of you guys running off of a cliff because you couldn't stop in time. Leomon-San, are you okay?" I asked the large lion.

But before I got my answer, my D-Ark began glowing. "What? Again?" Just then two new Modify Cards were launched out of my D-Ark and into my hand. "Huh. Leomon's Fist Of The Beast King Attack Optional Card, and Leomon's Beast Sword Weapon Modify Card. Cool."

Then we all watched as Leomon-San slowly got up and said, "Yes, thanks to you, DigiDestined."

"DigiDestined?" Everyone, besides me, asked in confusion.

I looked around and saw a decent tree to rest against, then I said, "Look, how about we rest over there, then you can tell us, okay?"

Everyone nodded then we all walked up to the tree, once we were sitting down, Leomon-San begun to explain. "According to ancient legend, our world will be taken over by a strange dark force that will change good Digimon into bad ones."

All of us, myself included, listened intently to the tale that this lion was telling. "Our ancestors have predicted that a group of children called the DigiDestined will appear from another world. When they arrive they will come to possess super powers that will eventually save our world from destruction. I believe that their prediction has come true. File Island has been seized over by an evil power. We're in danger of destruction, and now you've appeared."

"Whoa, that's amazing, but tell me, how could you be sure that we're the kids you're talking about?" Tai-Nii asked Leomon-San. There was no doubt that he was curious as to how Leomon-San can be certain that we were who Leomon-San believed us to be.

I folded my arms and sarcastically asked, "Well, Ani, do you see any other kids running around File Island?" I didn't allow anyone to even "No, we are the only ones here, the only humans inside the Digital World."

Everyone looked at me and the kids asked, "Digital World?"

I nodded and said, "You guys remember what Devimon-Baka said before he broke up File Island? He was telling the truth, but because I don't have much time to go into explicit detail, I will say this, where we are now, we are both on Earth, but not, at the same time."

Izzy-San gave me a curious look as he asked me, "How can that be possible, Luke-San?"

Before I could say more, Matt-San, wanting to know if what Leomon-San said was true, then he asked, "Yeah, do you have some proof that we're the same ones?"

Leomon-San nodded as he said, "It's been foretold that the DigiDestined have the ability to make Digimon Digivolve. You've done that and it's all the proof I need."

Then Izzy-San turned to me and said, "Okay, but back to my question, Luke-San. How can we be on Earth, but not at the same time?"

I looked at the young genius and said, "Think of it like this. We are on Earth, but not Earth, more like a Computerized shadow of Earth. When our Digivices appeared at camp a few days ago, and we got sucked up by that title wave, we got transported from the Real World, and into the world created entirely by data."

I noticed the confused looks on everyone's faces, then I said, "Look, I am trying to explain this as best as I can, and there is no simple way to explain it. But you should know one or two things. The first is that no one even knows that we are missing."

That was what got everyone to exclaim, "WHAT!?"

I had raised my hand to tell everyone to calm down, then, as the ringing in my ear stopped, I looked at each and every one of my friends, and said, "The reason for this is because back on Earth, not even a single second has gone by. This is because the Digital World and our home are not synched in time. Days in the Digital World is barely a second at home."

Matt-San then looked at me angrily and asked, "And why didn't you say anything before!? We could have gotten home by now!"

I looked at Matt-San with an incredibly angry glare, one that the others have never seen before, I could tell they were scared because they all backed up a bit. Then I said, "Because, Matt-San, I was scared! You happy? I was scared of how you guys would react! And, I was going to tell you, but Baka Devimon happened and ruined my plans to tell you guys!"

I really can't wait to trim Devi-Baka's wings for that stunt. Then, after calming myself down, I said, "And you want to know something? You want to know why I always seem to act more mature then I should be? Because, before all of this, before I was reincarnated here, I was once known as Jeremy Brown. Born and raised in The United States of America."

That caught everyone by surprise, then I said, "I was once a nineteen year old kid, almost turning twenty in a few months time before an out of control car took my life away. And when I was reincarnated, and wound up in the Digital World, I decided to become a protector for you guys, but I have been keeping that a secret my entire life."

Takeru-Kun then walked up to me and he asked, "But why keep it a secret, Luke-San?"

I looked down at the young kid and said, "That is something that I wish I explain later, because right now, we need to be ready. But I should you guys tell this anyways, you deserve to know the truth after so long."

I took a very deep breath, this was it. The moment of truth. Just when I was about to speak, Olette-Chan said, "Don't worry, Luke-Kun. No matter what you tell them, they're still your friends. They'll always be there. And, so will I."

Hearing Olette-Chan say that, gave me the confidence boost that I needed, then, I took one last breath, and I said, "Before any of you go jumping at me, let me explain one thing, back in my previous life, I watched a childrens show called," I took a deep breath, because I knew that this was it, "A childrens show called, 'Digimon, Digital Monsters.' In that show, it told the tale of seven kids going to summer camp, and end up in a new world where they had their own monsters as friends."

Tai-San looked at me in confusion, I could tell that he wasn't understanding what I was saying, then he said, "I don't get it, what does that have to do with anything?"

I groaned in annoyance, really, can't he figure it out on his own? Deciding that if slowly, subtly explaining this wouldn't cut it, so, I decided that, as much as I was hoping not to, brutality honest was the only choice. I glared at Nii-San then I said, "It has EVERYTHING to do with what is happening right now, you Baka! Because that show was all about you guys!"

At this point, everyone had their jaws on the floor, then I said, "NOW do you guys see why I was scared? Because I was afraid that if you guys knew the truth, that your whole lives have been told in a childrens cartoon show, you would lose faith, and become broken, like I had when Devimon-Baka revealed my secret." I breathed a sigh of annoyance at Nii-San's Baka like behaviour.

Then Izzy-San looked like he was trying to put a mental puzzle together, then asked me, "So, Luke-San, can you tell us, will we get released after we restore the island?"

I shook my head, telling them that it wasn't that easy and said, "No, defeating Devimon-Baka will not return us home. After this, we will go on another quest to find something to help us get our Digimon to Digivolve into the next level. I won't say anymore until we take care of Devimon-San." I took a breath to calm my nerves, then I asked, "Can you guys forgive me for lying to you all this time?"

No one said anything for a long time, that was until Takeru-Kun smiled at me and said, "I forgive you Luke-San! After all, it was thanks to you that me and Patamon-San are okay!"

I smiled at the youngest member of our group, then Tai-Nii walked up to me and said, "Otouto, we're brothers, and it will take something a lot more then this for me to hate you, I am your older brother, after all."

I smirked at that response and said, "Nii-San, physically, you are older then me, but mentally, I am almost thirty years old. So I out age you by eighteen years."

Matt-San then looked at me and asked, "So, is there anything else we should know before we go charging off into a fight against Devimon-Baka?"

I looked to my right, and while no one could see her, yet, I asked, "Well, are you going to say 'hi' to my friends, Olette-Chan?"

Everyone blinked in confusion and asked, "Olette-Chan?"

That was when Olette-Chan appeared floating right next to me and said, "Hi, everyone! It is so very nice to meet you all! I'm Olette!" She then spun in midair before holding her hands behind her back, smiling ever so cutely.

Everyone was take back by Olette-Chan's sudden appearance, and I lightly chuckled and said in an all too innocent voice, "What? You guys look like you've just seen a ghost or something. What's wrong?" That was it. Me, Olette-Chan, Dorumon-San, and Rouge-San couldn't hold in our laughter anymore and we all started laughing like crazy.

Nii-San was the first one to snap out of his shock, he looked between me and Olette-Chan, then he looked at me once more and asked in a shocked voice, "Otouto! Who is this? And where did she come from?"

I chucked lightly and asked, "Are you deaf? I just said that her name's Olette-Chan. And where did she come from, well, I guess, my mind would be the proper answer. But I can't be too certain of how she got there. And Olette-Chan, you already know these guys."

Mimi-San then squealed in delight as she said, "I love your hair, but why do you have two different colored eyes? That is kind of strange."

Olette-Chan brushed her hair out of her face, a light blush appearing on her face as she said, "Well, thanks for the complements, Mimi-San." She then started twirling her hair between her fingers, which I am beginning to think is a habit of hers when she becomes nervous. Then she said, "But I do my own hair, and as for my eyes, I don't really remember."

Tai-Nii raised an eyebrow at that response and he asked, "You don't remember?"

Before we got way off track I stood up and said said, "Look, we can sit around all day playing catch up, but how about we actually do something useful and actually go take care of Devimon-Baka?"

Olette-Chan then floated next to me, and said, "I go where you go, Luke-Kun. You know that." She then smiled brightly, which caused me blush, while rubbing the back of my head.

Izzy-San smiled brightly as he said, "Fine with me. Besides, it's impossible for us to lose with the Digivices."

Mimi-San then stood up, while brushing off the dirt from her dress and said, "The first thing on my list when I get home is to do some killer shopping."

Palmon-San then stood next to her and said, "For that to happen, we have to get you back home."

Tentomon-San looked towards Izzy-San then said, "If we all work together, we're sure to win."

Tai-Nii looked down at Agumon-San who said, "I'm ready any time you are, buddy." To which Tai-Nii agreed.

Gabumon-San then asked Matt-San, "How about it, Matt-San? Are we up to the challenge my friend?"

Matt-San looked down and he said, "It's gonna be tough. When you get down to it, we really have no other choice."

I smiled then I extended my fist and said, "Yeah, let's do this thing together! You all ready?"

At first no one moved, but then Olette-Chan floated down and placed her fist against mine and said, "I am always ready, Luke-Kun."

Dorumon-San joined in and said, "I'm not one to stay away from the crazy, Jeremy-San. I run towards it, along side you." Then he placed his fist against mine and Olette-Chan.

Rouge walked up and said, "You already know about my past, Emo-Sama. I'm not going to run away from this." She then placed her fist against ours and smirked.

Nii-San and Agumon-San both stood up and placed their fists against ours and Tai-Nii said, "We can't let you guys have all the fun now, can we?"

Agumon-San agreed and said, "Yeah, we're a team after all."

One by one, Matt, Izzy, Mimi, TK, Gabumon, Tentomon, Palmon, and Patamon all walked over and placed their fists against the rest of ours and Matt-San said, "If it means we get closer to going home, then we're in."

"Yeah. I will always be ready to fight along side our friends." Replied Gabumon-San, sticking with his partner.

"If you can promise me to give me more information about this Digital World, then I could possibly understand it even more. Count me in." Izzy-San told me with his brainiac personality coming in.

"If this means that we can protect our friends, then I'm in as well." Tentomon-San said, and he would be smiling, if he had a mouth, that it.

"As long as I get to change out of these clothes when this is over, I'm all for it!" Mimi-San said with a smile on her face. And I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes, figures her clothing would be what she's worried about.

"Well I for one want to see you guys return home safely. Anything else, besides stopping Devimon-Baka, is not important." Replied Palmon-San. At least she had her head in the right place.

"Do you think we could find more amazing Digimon on this journey, Luke-San? That would be awesome!" Takeru-Kun asked me cheerfully.

"And maybe I could finally Digivolve into something powerful! Count me in!" Patamon-San said happily.

I smiled at the little guys and said, "You'll never know until you see it for yourselves." I then looked at my friends, at, my team, each one nodding, knowing that this won't be easy, but were willing to go through it. I smiled softly, happy to know, that after so long of being afraid, that the weight of fear has been lifted from my shoulders.

With one final look towards Olette-Chan, I looked down to our connected fists, then I said, "Everyone say 'DigiDestined'."

Then we raised our fists and simultaneously shouted, "DigiDestined!"

Leomon-San must have known that we were ready to roll, because he said, "Alright then, troops, let's get to it!"

"Yeah. It's a done deal!" Replied Tai-Nii, ready to finish off Devimon-Teme, once and for all.

Then we all got into a boat, and Leomon-San started rowing to the island, as we approached the island, Leomon-San said, "Devimon is very powerful, he's brought nothing but trouble to File Island. We must be careful."

Once we got to shore, Leomon-San led us through the mountains, but then I felt something, like a massive pool of darkness was quickly swallowing the island, sucking up all the hope, joy, and light from each and every living being on the island, and I felt that very darkness trying to swallow me up. I looked up to the sky and said, "Hold on. Something's wrong."

Everyone looked at me and Nii-San asked, "What could it be, Luke-Chan?"

I shook my head, uncertain as to why I am feeling this, but if it wasn't for the serious situation we were heading into, my eyes have twitched uncontrollably, then I said, "I don't know, but I bet you that it has Devimon's name written all over it." And almost to prove my point, the sky was filled with Black Gears that went to the top of Infinity Mountain, then the sky turned dark. I looked towards Olette-Chan, and she nodded, knowing that at the moment, it would be safer in my head, so, she vanished.

I pulled out my D-Ark and turned to the others and said, "Guys, get your Digivices ready, we're about to have company."

Then the ground began shaking and Tai-Nii said, "Well, I guess we can't turn back now!" That was when a massive Devimon burst out of the mountain.

Mimi-San leaned back in fright as she fearfully asked, "What in the world is that?"

I glared hard at the giant bat and said, "Devimon. And it looks like he's all juiced up on Black Gears as well." This was it. If this was a video game, this guy would be the boss of the final segment of the first level. 'Kinda wished it was Darkside, though.' I thought to myself in light humor.

"I didn't expect him to be such a big guy!" Palmon-San said in surprise.

Izzy-San was looking a little, fearful, but kept hiss wits about himself as he said, "Big guys always seem to think bigger is better."

I scoffed, I know it wasn't really appropriate, but this concept of size meaning more power was just, pitiful, then I said, "Yeah, it's one of the biggest villain tropes in the books. But, you know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall."

But then Leomon-San decided to burst our bubble as he said, "'Fraid not." We all looked at Leomon-San in shock as he said, "Devimon possesses immense power, so be careful."

I glared at the giant Devimon, then I pulled a Modify Card out and twirled it between my fingers, then I looked back to the team and said, "Guys, any time now!"

Then Devimon-Teme took off into the sky, completely blocking the moon. It was only then that I had realized just how bad things might actually be. 'Oh, man. This guy is massive.' I thought to myself actually taking in how huge this beast has gotten.

"Do be careful, Luke-Kun. And don't let your guard down." Olette-Chan told me with concern in her voice.

I simply smiled in gratitude at hearing her worrying about me. 'Have a little faith in me, Olette-Chan. I don't plan on dying any time soon.'

While I was trying to tell her not to worry, I could feel her uncertainty about our current situation, but I had to keep my mind focused on the task at hand.

It was then that I heard Nii-San quiver in fear as he said, "He's here." And as he landed behind us, Tai-Nii said, "Uh, Agumon-San, you better Digivolve."

Then I looked to Dorumon-San and the others and said, "Yeah, what are we waiting for?"

The Digimon all nodded, ready to start kicking this guys but all over the island and said, "Right!"

But then Devimon-Teme smirked viciously as he flapped his wings at us and unleashed a massive gust of wind at us, we were all blown back into the rocky wall behind us. As I hit the wall, I think I felt something in my back become dislocated. Then Devi-Teme launched some kind of dark energy blast at us, I could feel my energy being forcefully drained from me.

Then I heard Devimon-Teme laugh viciously as he said, "You are fools! Don't expect me to play silly games with you, I'm far too wise for that!"

That was when I opened my eyes and looked to my left, smirked at what I had saw, then I turned to glare at Devimon-Teme, and, being who I was, I couldn't help myself but to egg this guy on.

My smirk widened as I grit through the pain, ignoring what could possibly be either a simple dislocated joint, or a broken back and struggled to say, "Yeah? Well, for being 'far too wise' to play our silly games, you seem to have forgotten one thing, not all of us are here, so that means that, you miscalculated one thing."

Devimon-Teme just laughed at this as he said, "Hah! I have you all at my mercy! What could I possibly have miscalculated?"

I weakly smirked and said, "We DigiDestined work best, when all of us are together."

Devimon-Teme seemed to be annoyed at this, but then we all heard Ikkakumon-San shout out, "Harpoon Torpedo!"

We all watched as six missiles were fired right at Devimon, which had hit him dead on. We were all able to breath a sigh of relief as we felt our strength return. "Luke-Kun, you okay?" I heard Olette-Chan ask me.

I nodded, letting her know I was fine and said, "Yeah, I'm fine, O-Chan. Just let me catch my breath."

Then I noticed a large flaming bird in the sky, then said bird called out, "Meteor Wing!" Then several balls of fire were launched right at Devimon-Teme's ugly mug.

Then I heard Sora-San yell out, "Quick everybody, there's no time to waist! We've got to strike right away!"

I slowly stood up, cracking my back, 'Okay, the good news, I can still feel my legs, bad news, I think I might have several new bruises on my back.' I then turned to the others and said, "You guys ready to rock?"

Dorumon-San nodded, his face was not a vicious grin, but a hardened and determined look, like one you would see on a soldier, and he said, "Time to Rock 'N' Roll!"

"You ready gang?" Agumon-San asked the others, to which they all nodded in conformation.

Then I lifted up my D-Ark and shouted out, "Digivolution, Activate!" Then four beams of light were shot into the sky, while Dorumon-San started to turn into data.

D-I-G-I-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"

Then Tai-Nii threw his fist into the air as he said, "Yeah, go get 'em, Greymon-San!"

"Gabumon Digivolve to...Garurumon!"

"Let's turn this guy into pudding!" Matt-San said as he threw a punch into his open palm.

"Tentomon Digivolve to...Kabuterimon!"

Then Izzy-San said, "My Biology Teacher would love this." Clearly, no matter what the circumstance is, Izzy-San would always have a comment about school or something.

"Palmon Digivolve to...Togemon!"

Then Mimi-San smiled at her partner as she said, "I do like the way our colors match." Somehow, I wasn't even surprised at that reaction.

"Dorumon Digivolve to...Dorugamon!"

All the while, I smirked at my partner, then I said in a crazed tone, "Let's go wild!" I raised up two Modify Cards, and said, "Oh, and I'm not going to let you guys have all the fun."

But before I could activate the Modify Cards on myself, a hand grabbed my wrist, I looked over to see Ani looking at me with concern, then he calmly said, "Otouto, please, let the Digimon do the fighting this time."

I looked at him and in a determined voice, I said, "Tai-Nii, Doru-San has always been the one protecting me, while I always stood in the sidelines using my Modify Cards to give him an edge, but now I found out that I could use my own Modify Cards to join the fight, I am not sitting this one out."

Then Sora-San turned to me, and in a worried voice, she said, "But, Luke-San, you could get hurt."

I looked at Sora-San long and hard, but I couldn't bring myself to argue with her, then I sighed in defeat and growled out in annoyance as I said, "Fine, but I'm still giving them support." I took out a Modify Card and said, "Dark Archery, Activate"

Then Crescemon's Luna Nova weapons appeared in front of me, only to fuse into one, creating a massive Bowgun. I chuckled evilly, then in my best Scarface impression, I said, "Say hello to my little friend!"

Tai-Nii and the others were taken back by this and Nii-San said, "Whoa, man! Watch where you aim that thing! You could hurt someone!"

I smirked wildly, not at all worried about how frightened my friends are at me, simply because I trusted them, then I said, "Yeah, that's the idea." Then I raised up another Modify Card and said, "Targeting, Activate!"

Then the Modify Card began glowing and soon it went over my right eye, and I could feel the scanner appear. I saw through the targeting system, and I have to say, it was weird, then I looked at Devimon-Teme and aimed my new weapon at him, but I couldn't fire, mostly because Garurumon-San was gnawing on Devimon-Teme's arm, but he launched them off.

Then Devimon-Teme laughed at our partners, he wasn't even phased by our efforts, then he said, "Your attacks are pitiful!"

That was when he launched our partners off of him like they were noting but flies. I glared my eyes in determination, seeing what could possibly be my one and only shot, then I said, "How about my attack, Dark Archery! FIRE!" I then pulled the trigger and fired the dark pulsing arrow at Devimon-Teme, it stuck him right in the chest and it actually made him recoil.

Devimon-Teme turned to glare at me and growled and said, "You little punk, you will pay for that."

I saw that he let his guard down, then, seeing to add insult to injury, I simply smirked as I rested the Bowgun on my shoulder and said, "And you should pay attention to your surroundings." But just as Togemon-San and Kabuterimon-San begun their attack, they were knocked away. "Oh, no!" I shouted out in shock.

Then I watched as Leomon-San charged in at Devimon-Teme's back and he said, "You're mine now!"

But just as Leomon-San was about to attack Devi-Teme's back, Ogremon-Baka appeared and said, "Surprise!"

We all watched as Leomon-San's eyes widened in surprise, then he growled out, "You!"

And Ogremon-Baka evilly said, "You got no chance against the likes of us now, kitty cat." Ogremon-Teme tried to attack Leomon-San, but he managed to avoid being hit.

As Leomon-San landed, Ogremon-Teme tried to attack, but that was when Dorugamon-San flew in and said, "Well, how about me, then? Power Metal! Hyah!" Dorugamon-San launched a large ball of metal into Ogremon-Baka's face.

The smelly green ogre held his nose in pain and he said, "Ow! Why does everyone always go for the face? You'll pay for that!" Then he launched a dark pulse of darkness at the two of them, sending them crashing through the trees.

I felt the ghostly pain flow through my body, causing me to fall to my knees in pain, "Ugh! Okay, that hurt!"

"LUKE-KUN!" I heard Olette-Chan call out to me in concern. I looked up and saw Olette-Chan looking down on me, and I could see the worry in her eyes as she asked, "Luke-Kun, are you okay?"

I smiled weakly at her, while giving her a thumbs up and said, "Yeah, as long as I have my guardian angle watching over me, I'll always be fine."

Olette-Chan blushed madly, which I was actually starting to find very cute, then I heard Tai-Nii yell out, "Hey, Luke-Chan, flirt with your girlfriend at another time, we still have to find a way to defeat Devimon-Baka."

Hearing this caused both me and Olette-Chan to blush madly and we both said, ""She's not my girlfriend/I'm not his girlfriend!""

We both looked at each other and blushed again in embarrassment, while at the same time, I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I then heard Tai-Nii sarcastically say, "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourselves that. Just keep your head in the game."

We all watched as Ikkakumon-San launched several Harpoon Torpedoes at Devimon-Baka, but the Teme just shrugged off the attack like it was nothing, and picked up the giant narwhal and threw him into Kabuterimon-San. Rouge was about to join the fight, but I quickly grabbed her tightly.

"Ugh, let go of me, Luke! I need to help them!" Rouge said in a strained voice. Yes, I knew she was the Demon Lord of Lust, but I doubted that even she could handle this guy.

I shook my head and said, "No, you'll get crushed out there, Rouge-San! Even knowing who you are, I don't think that, as you are now, you would even hurt him. I'm not letting you get yourself deleted Rouge!"

Then I heard Takeru-Kun's voice say, "Oh boy, there's nobody left, what do we do we do, Patamon-San?"

I looked up just to watch as Devimon-Baka turned to TK-San and we all heard him say, "Now to get rid of you, then I'll have nothing to fear. They say the smallest will destroy me, and I'm not gong to let that happen."

We all watched, frozen in horror as Devimon-Teme went to grab TK-Kun and Patamon-San, and everyone was out for the count, I was about to aim my Bowgun at him, but it and the Targeting system quickly faded back into cards, and I was left drained. Then I heard Devimon-Teme say, "Don't move, make it easy on both of us."

That was when I saw Matt-San and Garurumon-San quickly running towards Takaishi-Kun, I also heard something coming from the forrest, I looked and breathed a sigh of relief as Dorugamon-San emerged from the foliage, I smirked and said, "Doru-San, help them out!"

Dorugamon-San nodded and flew off after them, Garurumon-San then jumped and bit down on Devimon-Teme's arm, while Doru-San gripped onto his back. Then Greymon-San grabbed the Baka's leg. Soon, one by one, every single Champion Level Digimon was grabbing onto Devimon-Teme. I looked to Rouge, and gave her a smirk, then asked, "Rouge, you still want a piece of Devimon-Teme?"

Rouge smirked at me, and that smirk, it was truly worthy of being a demonic kind of smirk and she said, "Let me at him."

I looked at her, worried about her, even though I knew she could handle herself, I was also concerned about her safety, no matter what, I always feel like I need to protect others, then I said, "Just be careful."

Rouge nodded then charged in and latched herself onto Devimon-Teme's back, and I could only guess that she was digging her claws into the Teme's back. Now every single Digimon was holding onto the fallen angle Digimon. Then Devimon-Baka began laughing and said, "You seem to forget! I am Devimon! Supreme Master of this island! I have power over all Digimon! No one can conquer me!" Then he unleashed another wave of dark energy, and sent everyone flying.

I clenched my body tightly as I felt the pain that Dorugamon-San felt, "Ugh! I think my bruises have bruises."

Then we all heard TK-Kun shout out, "MATT-ONII-CHAN!"

We all watched in horror as Devimon-Teme approached the youngest DigiDestined, then Devimon-Teme said, "You will be mine!"

Just as Devimon-Teme was about to grab TK-San, Patamon-San launched a Boom Bubble at him, but it did nothing, and just when Devimon-Teme closed his fist around TK-San, something happened. Light started to shine through Devimon-Teme's hand.

Tai-Nii looked up in wonder and asked, "Is Patamon-San Digivolving?"

D-I-G-I-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

I nodded, then Devimon-San was forced to let go of TK-San as the newest champion was revealed. The light just kept getting higher and higher until Patamon-San's voice called out. "Patamon Digivolve to..." Then hovering over all of us in a blinding light, was six large white wings, and cloaked in white cloth, with blue ribbons around his left arm and lower body. He was also holding a golden rod in his right hand. "Angemon!" It was now Patamon-San's time to shine, and boy was he glowing.

Then I heard Joe-San say, "Hey, Patamon-San finally Digivolved!"

I smirked and said, "Yeah, and what an entrance!" Then all of the DigiDestined began complementing Angemon-San. "Truly, he made one Hell of an entrance." I said with a smile on my face.

Then TK-San looked up at his partner in wonder and in a entranced voice he said, "I want to take him home with me."

Then Devimon-Teme, in what I could only guess to be fear, asked, "What's this? Another foolish attempt?"

Then Angemon-San spoke, and it was almost angelic, "The forces of good are more powerful, even you can't stop us." Then he lifted up his rod into the air and said, "I'll destroy you and bring peace to the island."

Then we all heard our Digivices going off, I looked at my D-Ark, and saw it was glowing, then I realized what was gonna happen. So, deciding to willing lend my power, I aimed it at Angemon-San and said, "Time to share some of our light!" Then beams of light erupted from each Digivice and right into Angemon-San, giving him even more power.

The light must have been to much for Devimon-Teme, because he said, "That light is so bright, what are you doing to me?"

We all watched as our partners reverted to their Rookie Levels. "Dorumon-San!"

Then Devimon-Teme raised his arm to try to block out the light and said, "Stop it! I'm not going to allow you to take my power away, you'll have to fight me!"

Angemon-San looked like he sighed in defeat, possibly knowing what it was he had to do, then said, "I'm afraid I have no other choice." Angemon-San then spun his staff around and said, "If I can help others, my fate is unimportant."

TK-San then shouted out, "ANGEMON-SAN!"

Angemon-San faced the evil of the island then he said, "Your powers have gotten far out of control and so, you must be extinguished! I am ready to fight for peace!

And with that remark, Ogremon-Baka jumped out of Devimon-Teme's gut and right at Angemon-San, but the light was too great, and he was launched right out of Devimon-Teme. This must have enraged Devimon, because he said, "Now you've done it!"

Angemon-San's staff was then absorbed into his fist, which then began to give off an orange glow, then TK-San shouted out, "Be careful!"

Devimon-Teme then begun to laugh, maniacally, I might add, as he approached Angemon-San. Angemon-San turned to TK-San and smiled as he said, "I'll get him, relax."

Then Angemon-San then turned back to Devi-Teme, and Angemon-San begun to glow brighter and brighter, then Devimon-Teme reached for the angle Digimon and said, "Come here, pretty boy!"

Then Angemon-San lifted up his hand and said, "I'll stop you! Ay-eee!" Then Angemon-San literally told Devimon-Teme to talk to the hand as he blasted a massive hole in his chest.

Then the whole island was engulfed by light. We all watched as BOTH Devimon-Teme AND Angemon-San begun to turn into data. Devimon-Teme was disappearing into dark data, and Angemon-San into light.

Devimon-Teme then darkly chuckled as he said, "You have used up all your power, that wasn't very smart, Angemon. Now you're no use to anyone! You can't get away from the dark forces. Evil is everywhere, so don't savor your victory. There are other Digimon just as powerful as I am. Some of them are even stronger, I wonder what you'll do when you run into them? You haven't won at all, what a waste of time!" And with that, Devimon-Teme was finally defeated, but it still felt like he had the last laugh.

Then TK-San looked up at his partner with tears in his eyes as he shouted out, "Angemon!"

Angemon-San, who was almost gone, smiled at the little tyke and softly said, "I'll come back again, if you want me to." And like that, he was gone and the light faded.

But TK-San fell to his knees and cried out, "ANGEMON-SAN!"

I slowly got up and walked over to him, but stopped when several white feathers landed in front of TK, which then glowed white and turned into a white Digiegg with orange stripes. TK then hugged the egg tightly.

I then walked up to TK-Kun and gently placed my hand on his shoulder and said, "He's not gone, TK-Kun."

Said DigiDestined looked up at me, with tears in his eyes and he asked, "Huh?"

Everyone had gathered around TK-Kun and Tentomon-San said, "What do you know, it's a DigiEgg!"

TK-Kun looked down at the egg hopefully, then he asked, "Do you think it could be Angemon-San?"

I knelt down next to him and smiled as I said, "Takaishi-Kun, always remember this, Digimon don't truly die. Instead their data gets reverted back into a DigiEgg, so that they could recharge if they use up all of their power."

The two of us looked down at the DigiEgg in TK-San's lap and I said, "Angemon-San will never leave you, and he will come back to you, just like he promised you. Just as long as you have hope, and keep your faith strong, then anything can happen."

TK-San smiled brightly, with a few tears in his eyes as he said, "Thank you, Luke-San. For everything." He then hugged me, which I happily returned. He then hugged the DigiEgg and said, "I will be sure to take very good care of him. You saved my life, Angemon-San."

I nodded, happy to know that, even after all that has happened, Takeru Takaishi was still smiling, but I wanted to make one thing clear. "Listen, I want you, all of you to remember one thing, and one thing only. The world is full of darkness, but the darkness itself is not evil."

Tai-Nii looked up at me in shock as he asked, "What do you mean by that, Luke, you saw what Devimon-Baka did with the dark powers! So how could Darkness not be evil?"

I looked at Tai-Nii dead in the eyes, not even flinching, but, I sighed softly and said, "There is a difference between Darkness and Evil. Light and Dark are two sides of the same coin. One cannot exist without the other. Just like day and night. You do not hate the night time because it is dark, do you?"

Everyone hesitated to answer my question, but with a shake of their heads, I was able to tell that they wouldn't hate the night for that same reason, then I asked, "Then, why should you hate the dark, when it is the ones who uses it for their own nefarious purposes that makes a Digimon Evil. Only when both light and darkness learn to coexist with each other, can true peace be achieved. That is what true harmony is. Light and Dark, coexisting."

Everyone looked at me in shock, then Matt-San said, "Man, that's deep, Luke-San. So, are you saying, that not all who use darkness are evil?"

I nodded and said, "That is what I am saying. Yes, there will be those who will use the darkness to cause nothing but chaos, anarchy, as well as death and despair, there is no denying that, so I won't sugarcoat it. But, you must remember this, if you hate the darkness, just for being darkness, they you will become no better then the ones who uses it to destroy. You must keep an open heart about darkness. I am not telling you to use the darkness if you don't want to, but I am telling you to not resent it either."

Everyone was left to wander in their thoughts, until Sora-San looked up and pointed at something in the distance and said, "Hey, look! The island is coming back together again."

Izzy-San nodded, and he said, "Exactly, Devimon's been defeated. When evil is eliminated, the island returns to it's normal state."

Matt-San then folded his arms in annoyance and he asked, "What's with those other evil Digimon across the sea?"

Joe-San looked confused, but also like he wanted to start chewing his fingernails, then he asked, "Yeah, I thought we were going home."

Then I stood up, turned to Joe-San and said, "We are the DigiDestined, Joe-San. It is our duty to protect the Digital World, no matter what."

Olette-Chan then appeared right next to me and said, "Right you are, Luke-Kun. Right you are."

Then Joe-San screamed like a little girl and said, "Gah! A Ghost! Run for your lives!"

Joe-San then ran so fast, that I had actually taken out my Modify Cards to make sure Joe-San didn't use my Hyperchip by any chance, then I chuckled and said, "Sora-San, Biyomon-San, Gomamon-San, Joe-San. This is Olette, she has been sleeping inside my mind for who knows how long, I met her back at the factory."

I was about to say something when I heard rocks being moved, I looked down and saw a strange looking device appear out of the ground, then a beam of energy had appeared and an old man that I recognised all to well appeared.

Then the old man said, "Ah, I've hear of you kids. I must say, I'm pleased."

Tai-Nii then asked, "Excuse me, sir, tell us, who are you, and what do you want?"

Who is this strange old man? Now that Devimon-Teme has finally been defeated, it is time I told my friends the truth. But, will I be able to confess my feelings to Olette-Chan? Or will I fall into my own doubts again? What new dangers await for us? Stay tuned for the next chapter of Digimon New Life!

Thechaosmaster: And there we have it! Arc one of Digimon New Life has officially come to a close. And now we get to the really fun stuff. And yes, Lukas did use more Modify Cards in this chapter, but he still gets exhausted by using them. Thechaosmaster: And, here we have it, the edited version of the ending of the Devimon Ark, and, I really hope that I can finish updating these next ten chapters soon, I really want to continue this story. Trust me.

Blossom: Yeah, he has plenty of ideas for how to do things in these chapters.

Chaos: They are not all solid ideas. Honestly, the DigiDestined attacks did not turn out as I originally thought they would.

Blossom: True, when you were thinking of these things, you kinda made them, a bit, broken.

Chaos: Luke's attack in particular. Now, many would think that seeing how Luke is me, that I would make him over powered, well, I am trying to avoid that as much as possible. In fact, the idea of Apollo's Devine Arrow, was from a dream, and the arrows were basically rapid fire. As you can tell, instead of over powering my character, I changed it to be more, realistic.

Blossom: Right, and you also gave yourself your own kind of handicap.

Chaos: Right, because Luke can use his Modify Cards on himself, something that even I the CREATOR of this idea, can't figure out a good, reasonable, explanation about this, that would make sense. But, being able to summon his crossbow at a moments notice seems over powered. Which is why every Crest Holder has powers as well. But, the reason why Luke is having trouble manipulating Earth, while the others can do it almost effortlessly, is because of the fact that Earth is not something that we humans, can actually manipulate.

Blossom: Really? You're actually basing this in real life science?

Chaos: Yeah, I know, weird, right? But, the way I see it, us, as humans, have been able to control and utilize the forces of nature, we can create fire by creating a spark, utilize the winds with WIND mills, have learned to harness electricity. And so on and so forth, and while it may not seem like we can control nature, just plant a single seed, and you can 'CHOOSE' where nature can grow. Is this a solid answer? Hell no, but, it is the only one that makes sense to me.

Blossom: You know, I have been reading your ideas for the weapons but...

Chaos: I cannot freely discuss anything involving the weapons at this current time. You readers will start to notice the same detail that Blossom has noticed once the other weapons have been revealed, and only then will I explain why it is that I have chosen what I have chosen. And trust me, keep an eye out for what Joe's weapon will be. It is a weapon that no one would expect.

Blossom: Well, it is 7:00 PM where were are.

Chaos: Right, I have been working on this for a while, and right now, my eyes feel like they are on fire, so, please be patient with me, I may be going fast this month, but, I am still human and still have limits of how fast I can work on this story.
