Devimon has been defeated, but, from his defeat came a new mission, head to the Continent of Server and collect our Tags and Crests. But now that I have finally confessed my feelings to Olette, I know that from now on, what ever danger may lurk, whatever evil we may face, I know that as long as I have Olette by my side. Nothing can stop me. (Now in second ark of the story)

16. The Battle Of Two Brothers

Chaos: Sorry, Kurivolt, I really didn't have enough time last night. I was tired as all hell, and I really wanted this chapter up. Do you understand, Kurivolt?

Thechaosmaster: Okay, I am late on all of my stories, but…

Blossom: What kind of excuse are you going to use this time, boss?

Chaos: Look, for the next few weeks, I will be working Thursday through Monday, from 6:15 - 17:45, meaning that I will only have two days to actually work on this without distractions, but, during those two days, I am tired as all Hell.

Blossom: So, you're blaming you being late on your schedule, again?

Chaos: Hey! Give me a break! Do you know how difficult it is to write/edit all of these chapters in a short amount of time?

Blossom: Wasn't there something that you wanted to tell your readers, boss?

Chaos: Oh, yeah! As many of you could probably tell, the elements that the DigiDestined are based off of Naruto, so that means that the strengths/weakness will be just like the show.

Blossom: So that would mean that Fire is strong against Wind, but weak to Water. Wind is strong against Lightning, but weak to Fire. Lightning is strong against Earth, but weak to Wind. Earth is strong against Water, but weak to Wind. Water is strong against Fire, but weak to Earth. Ice is strong against Water and Wind, but weak to Fire/Inferno (Tai's element)

Chaos: Right, and Nature(Mimi's element) is strong against Water and Earth, but weak to Fire/Inferno and Lightning.

Blossom: I noticed that you have some combination elements as well.

Chaos: Yeah, I was thinking of the Bloodline elements. So, Lava is a combination of Fire and Earth. Storm is a combination of Water and Lightning. Boil is a combination of Water and Fire. Dust is a combination of Fire, Earth and Wind

Blossom: So, what is it that you want your readers to do now, boss?

Chaos: Quite simple. I want you guys to come up with different attack names for, both the DigiDestined on their own, and as combination attacks.

Blossom: There is something else, isn't there?

Chaos: *Sigh* Yeah. Okay, look. We all know that Luke's Crest spirit is Susanoo, I was thinking, some time during 02, that Luke actually unlocks some kind of real Susanoo mode.

Blossom: Why don't you all just read this updated chapter and then decide afterwards.

Chaos: Yeah, that's a good idea. Okay, I'll do the usual disclaimer this time. I own no rights to Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh! Or any other Anime/Manga that I may have taken ideas from to come up with this story. I only own Luke, Olette, the Crest Of Protection, and the idea that the Crests are sentient, everything else belongs to their respected owners.

Chapter 14: The Battle Of Two Brothers

"Because brothers don't let each other wander in the dark alone." Jolene Perry.

It wasn't long after we reached the continent of Server, we had quickly discovered the Koromon village that Whamon-San had told us about, but it had been taken over by a hoard of Pagumon, at first we were only skeptical about them, but we soon realized that we had the right to be weary. Then during the night, me and Olette-Hime took a midnight stroll through the village, where my Tag began glowing.

It had been glowing all day, and I finally got sick and tired of the random glowing, and besides looking crazy for yelling at an inanimate object, I just grew too tired for all the random glowing, so, in a moment of questionable sanity, I told the Tag that if it was gonna glow, then the least it could do was glow in the direction of my Crest.

Then me and Olette-Hime began hearing a voice call out to me, telling me to follow the path, and I would find my Crest. At first I though I was just to tired, but Olette-Hime revealed that she could hear the voice as well.

Then, my Tag began glowing even brighter than before, and it created a green beam of light that shot into the forest. Me and Olette-Hime then followed the path that was created in the forest, and we found a massive stone slab that looked as if nature itself had tried to consume it.

It turned out that the large stone was actually my Crest, after it slipped into my Tag, then the following morning, we discovered that Tokomon-San had been taken by the Pagumon, we found him and freed him from three Gazimon, but Dorugamon-San, Greymon-San, and Rouge-San sent them flying quickly. But that wasn't the worst of it.

We soon found ourselves running from an Elvis impersonator Digimon called, Etemon-Baka. And man, was he the King Of Bakas. It was Etemon-Baka who forced us deeper into the cave where Tokomon-San and the Koromon were hidden.

There, we found Nii-San's Crest Of Courage which then opened up a pass way to the outskirts of the Koromon village. Two Crests down, six to go.

So, here we were, escaping from the Koromon village and right into, what a surprise, yet another Kami forsaken desert! I wasn't the only one complaining, though, "Oh, how far do we have to walk?" Mimi-San asked everyone weakly. At least she was complaining about something WORTH complaining about. Unlike a certain 'reliable' annoyance.

Then, speaking of said complainer, I heard Joe-San say, "Until Etemon-Baka can't follow us anymore." If it wasn't for the situation, I would have pinched myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming.

Joe-San, actually making a smart statement? Sure as Hell that it was a sign of the apocalypse. Pigs will start flying, Hell will freeze over, physics will be defied, and the universe itself will implode in on itself before exploding all over again. All joking aside, I was happy to hear Joe-San making sense for a change.

"I don't think there is such a place!" Mimi-San cried out. Clearly she was close to panicking, or is already doing so, not that it will help us in any way.

Feeling some movement coming from my backpack, I turned and saw Rouge-San pop her head out. "Listen, Cowgirl, we have to keep moving. Unless you want to try your luck against Etemon-Baka again, stop wasting energy complaining and instead use it wisely by looking for a place to rest." Rouge-Chan said in an annoyed tone from the inside of my backpack. She said that it was better then wasting her energy walking in the desert.

If you were to ask me, I'd say that she was just being lazy. Sometimes, I really do wonder if she really is the Demon Lord of Lust, and not Sloth. Maybe it was her cat like nature. And if she ever returned to being Lilithmon, she would be more, active, in these simple walks of ours.

It was Olette-Hime, who had been holding my hand since we left the Koromon village, that brought me back from my internal thoughts when she turned to Mimi-San and said, "She's right, Mimi-San. We're better off heading away from the mad monkey Digimon."

I then heard Matt-San scoff slightly as he said, "Yeah, and we certainly can't stop here in the middle of nowhere. For one thing, if we were attacked, there'd be no place to run to." Clearly, he was one of the only one of us thinking logically around here.

I turned to him and nodded in agreement as I said, "Yeah, not to mention, we need to make sure we get something to eat and drink. Especially our partners, if not, and we get attacked, we'll be nothing but sitting ducks." Me and O-Hime then looked forward and continued walking.

That was when Nii-San turned to us and, deciding to ruin my good mood, he arrogantly asked, "Hey, come on, you guys! Why'd we stop? Why's everyone so scared?" Yeash, sometimes I really hate Nii-San. Then we heard him say, "Especially you, Otouto? We both have our Crests, you know?"

Now THAT annoyed me, doesn't he know the difference between being scared and cautious? So, deciding to enlighten him, I turned to Taichi and said, "I am not afraid, Ani. I am being cautious, there's a difference, y'know?" Then I pulled out my Crest and said, "And besides, what is the point of having our crests, if we don't even know how to use them."

Matt-San nodded at this and said, "He's right. Do we really know the Crests will be able to make Agumon-San or Dorumon-San Digivolve, Tai-San?" The fact that he asked this very important question made me smile very lightly.

Tai-Nii, hearing this quickly nodded and said, "Of course, Luke-Chan said so, right, Luke-Chan?"

I let my arms fall to my side as I tried to ignore my twitching eye as I said, in a clearly annoyed voice, "I know that the Crests can make our Digimon Digivolve into an even higher level, but I have no idea on how it is done." While not an entire lie, but there is a lot of haze in my memories about the series.

Yeash, it was like, three years before I died when I last watched the series. People can't really keep asking me about every single thing that happens in the series. This is why I told these guys why I would not tell them about the future.

Plus, I never really got to watch those anniversary movies that had came out. Digimon Adventure Tri. 'I wonder what's gonna happen when we get there?' I asked myself with a little chuckle. 'Figures, I never got to watch the new movies, but, now, I'll probably be experiencing them.'

I shook my head, dismissing the ideas of Tri yet, and I thought, 'Man, I really need to learn how to stick in the present. C'mon, Lukas-San, keep your head in the game.'

That was when I glanced over to Tai-Nii and saw that he simply smirked and said, "Well, we'll figure it out, right, Agumon-San?"

But, Agumon-San didn't seem to confident in himself as he turned to my brother and asked, "Hmm?"

But this caused Ani to growl out in annoyance as he raised his fist and said, "Listen, buddy, this is your big chance. Don't let me down."

I could see that Tai-Nii was not heading my warning about letting the Crest go to his head, which he promised me that he wouldn't.

Then, hoping to save Agu-San from my annoying, but lovable, Nii-Baka, so, I turned to him and said, "Ani, remember what I told you. Don't let having a Crest go to your head. Having a Crest is important. But, the power that they hold, the power to allow our partners Digivolve further, should be respected."

If there was one thing that I would never forget from the series, it was SkullGreymon, And that was one thing that I HAD to prevent. No matter what.

"And the Crests should NOT be misused. Because, if they are, then the light of your Crest could become corrupted by your own foolishness, and that in turn, could have unforseen consequences. Take great caution when you try to use your Crest, or you could lose yourself, or worse." I told Nii-San with complete seriousness in my voice.

Olette-Hime turned to Ani and she said, "He's right, Tai-San. You should be cautious about misusing your Crest."

But, instead of acknowledging our warnings, Tai-Nii gripped his hands into a fist, then he turned to Agumon-San and said, "You're one of the only ones who can Digivolve further, so either you try to get to the next level and save us from Etemon-Baka, or I'll get a new Digimon!"

That was harsh, and completely uncalled for. "Listen to me, Taichi-Nii!" I said in a serious tone. "If you force Agumon-San to Digivolve, without even thinking about his feelings, or for your own selfish gain, then you don't deserve to hold that Crest of Courage."

I then pointed towards his Crest of Courage that rested over his chest as I said, "You are supposed to be setting an example for the rest of us, and yet, you are letting your own ego cloud your judgement. You need to cool it, NOW, Taichi!"

Tai-Nii then stood over me and glared as he asked, "Oh, yeah? And what are you going to do about it, Luke-Chan? Are you and Olette-San gonna ground me?" The sarcasm that Nii-San unleashed really tested my limits. "Need I remind you that I am the Nii-San, not you. So, back off, and let me do what I deem is necessarily."

I looked Tai-Nii dead in the eyes and in a promising voice, I said, "Taichi Yagami Kamiya, that was highly uncalled for! For one, Agumon-San is your partner and should be treated like your best friend."

I was having a really hard time holding back the urge to punch Nii-San in the jaw, I am not violent by nature, nor do I like hitting Ani, but, sometimes, words are not enough to get through to Tai-Nii. And I have to use fists.

'This is really bad, he's already starting to show signs of arrogance and zero amounts of concern to his friends. Not to mention, he had just blatantly insulted, not only me, but Olette-Hime as well.' I thought to myself in worry, but also feeling very insulted towards the lack of respect for my girlfriend Ani was showing.

So, deciding to remind him, I glared harder at Nii-San and said, "Tai-Nii, don't you EVER say something along those lines ever again! Agu-San should NOT be forced to do something against his will. You're supposed to be his partner, not his master, but a friend, if you start pushing him, than you will destroy that very friendship. Do you want that?"

Each word I spoke hurt me deeply, not because I was wrong, oh, Hell no, but, it is because I had such high respect for Nii-San. He was one of my heroes growing up. All the DigiDestined were.

But, I value my friends and family above all else. And I would rather throw myself into an active volcano, than willingly hurt my friends. And I wold rather swim in the Dark Ocean, while arm wrestling the Incredible Hulk with one arm and trying to arm wrestle Superman with the other, both at once, than even THINK of doing anything to hurt my Hime. And seeing Nii-San act like this, it hurt me, deeply.

Trying not to let my anger take control, I simply took a few deep breaths, calming my nerves and said, "Second, never, and I mean, NEVER, talk badly about me, or Olette-Hime. And third, what you deem as 'necessarily' is harsh and rude to your friends. Apologise, right now!"

But, instead of admitting that he was wrong, Tai-Nii folded his arms and he boldly said, "I am the one with the Crest! I think I have the right to say what I want."

I then glared harshly at Tai-Nii and said, "Taichi, this will be the only warning you will ever get from me. If you end up doing something that ends up hurting Agumon-San, or puts the rest of us in danger, in any way, because you are being a Goggle-Headed-Baka, just know this, I will be the one to knock you off of the tower that is your ego, and back down to the Digital World. Got it memorized?"

I asked with what could possibly be my new catchphrase, not that I would admit it. Because that one belongs to someone else. Someone who I will never forget, and will always have his name memorized. Axel, or Lea, whichever works.

Tai-Nii folded his arms in annoyance, then he had a look of realization and he asked, "By the way, how are we supposed to use the Crests to Digivolve again?" And suddenly, he was back to his old idiotic self. If it was only for a few moments.

I slapped myself hard in the forehead as all the anger that I had felt, slowly disappeared only to be replaced with a sudden urge to bang my head against a brick wall, repeatedly.

Then I sighed, trying to get myself together and I turned to O-Hime and said, "And thus, Tai-Baka proves to be an even bigger Goggle-Head then I give him credit for."

Then Olette-Hime lightly giggled at this as she said, "That Nii-San of yours, Luke-Kun. One track mind."

Hearing this caused me giggle lightly, as well as feeling a light blush creep onto my cheeks, then I heard Izzy-San say, "Well, from what we've seen so far with the other Digivolutions, it takes a lot of energy. For example, they can't Digivolve when they're hungry." It was clear that he was at least TRYING to come up with a good idea for getting our partners up to the next level.

I nodded, agreeing with him, and I said, "In addition to that, Ani, the DigiDestined of the Digimon must lend their Digimon some of their own power by using our Digivices."

Izzy-San nodded and he said, "As well as the fact that the partner must be in some sort of danger. You know, like being under attack or something."

Then I decided to try to get these guys away from that idea, and I said, "You can also have your partner Digivolve without being in danger, you just need to put your trust in your partner." Trying to remind Tai-Nii of what I told everyone almost ten days ago about being cautious about being reckless.

Then Tai-Nii then looked like he had gotten an idea as he said, "But, since it's a higher level of Digivolving, my theory is even more energy is needed. So we'll provide the food, and Etemon-Baka will provide the danger." Tai-Nii then punched his open palm, then he began to laugh like he just found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

I shook my head in disappointment and my older brother, it was clear to me that he wasn't getting the picture that I was painting for him, and I sadly sighed as I said, "And while you're off in your imaginary world, Tai-Nii, I am going to be down here in reality."

Sometimes, I really do wonder if we are really related. I mean, sure me and Kari-Chan act a lot a like, but we're also different in many ways. We're both polite, and respectful, as well as patient. Our differences, small, are noticeable. Kari-Chan is soft spoken and gentle. While I am a bit more, direct, and can be a bit more, what's the word? Uh, loud, at times.

But, we're both smart kids. Tai-Nii? Not so much. He's brash, arrogant, impatient, cocky, and sometimes rude. Not to say that he's stupid, no. He may be a Baka at times, but he really is a bright kid, sometimes, at least.

He starts fights with others, and demands more out of people. I was really hoping that Nii-San would actually calm down during this adventure, but, I was wrong.

"And this is the only warning you're ever going to get from me, if you choose to put yourself in danger, just to get Agumon-San to Digivolve into the next level, and you put us all grave danger because of it, I swear on my Crest, that I will personally beat the cobwebs out of your brain." I told my Baka of a Nii-San, caring deeply for him, but was not pleased with his change in personality.

I then felt a pulse of energy come from my crest, then I looked down and saw it glow for a single moment. Being confused as to the reason, I thought, 'I wonder, what's going on here?'

After my promise to Tai-Nii, we all found a small oasis to rest and recover at. But Tai-Nii was forcing food down Agumon-San's mouth, I tried to stop him, but he seems to be ignoring me.

So, I just sat next to Olette-Hime, Rouge-Chan and Dorumon-San, writing more of what had happened at the Koromon Village. Speaking of my partner, he was having a very normal meal, I decided to show Tai-Baka that you can't just stuff your Digimon with food and expect them to be able to go ultimate without being foolish.

"Man, Hot Head is being really stubborn today, Emo-Sama. Moreso than usual. You should probably put him on a tighter leash." Rouge-San told me with annoyance in her voice, even though she was as relaxed as a cat in the sand, because, she was.

Although, I get the feeling that she takes great pleasure in tormenting me. 'Oh, who am I kidding? She LOVES tormenting me!' I thought to myself sarcastically.

"She's right, dear. He's your Ani, surely you can get through to him. I really don't want to see him or Agumon-San getting hurt." Olette-Chan told me with worry in her voice.

I looked down at my Nii-San and said, "Tai-Nii is many things, but stubborn most of all. Once he has his mind set on something, nothing but the smell of reality can wake him up."

Then Matt-San looked at my in surprise and he asked, "So, he's been like this before then, Luke-San?"

I looked over to where the others are sitting and sadly nodded, "Yeah, he has. Tai-Nii just doesn't know the meaning of the word 'restraint'. I remember a time when…" Then I started to trail off, and began to walk down memory lane.

But I had to stop myself from remembering that day, and the bad memories that came with it and I shook my head said, "Know what? Just forget it." I could feel tears building up in my eyes as I remembered what had happened that day.

Olette-Chan grabbed my hand in reassurance, I looked up and saw her smile at me. I was grateful that she didn't say anything, her smile is all I really needed. "Arigato, O-Hime." I said to her, then I kissed her on the cheeks, then she wiped the tears from my eyes.

But Sora-San must have noticed my tears and she asked, "You okay, Luke-San?"

I gave everyone a small nod, then Matt-San walked up to me and asked, "Anything you want to share?"

I shook my head, still trying not to remember THAT day and said, "Not right now, no. I just hope that Tai-Nii doesn't do anything stupid."

Then Rouge-San scoffed at my hopes and she said, "Too late for that, he's forcing all of our food down Agumon-San's throat. Literally."

Then I watched as said Nii-San turned to us and very loudly he asked, "Hey, I didn't hear you! I asked 'isn't that right?'"

Then we all, be it, begrudgingly, all yelled out in perfect sync said, "That's right!" Even though I wasn't really paying attention to what he said.

I then looked down at my crest and sadly said, "I hold in my hands the Crest Of Protection. But, it seems that I can't seem to get Tai-Nii to wake up. How disappointing." Then I gripped my Crest tightly, trying to hold onto some kind of hope, as small as the likely it was, that my Nii-San would snap out of his stupidity.

Then Matt-San patted me on my back as he said, "Hey, cheer up man, it's not your fault that the Baka won't listen to reason, Luke-San. It's his own fault."

I nodded lightly, slightly happy that he didn't push the subject, but, I sighed softly as I said, "Yeah, I guess you're right. But, still…I am his Otouto, therefore, it should be my responsibility to keep him in check. And, even though it should be the other way around, I just feel like it has to be me who has to keep him out of trouble. And I can't even do that."

I sighed in defeat as I looked up at the sky, and watched the clouds move without a care in the world and, in a very Shikamaru Nara like tone, I scratched the back of my head and said, "Man, what a drag."

"I guess there's not much else we can do to help." Palmon-San said with a frown on her face.

Dorumon-San nodded sadly and he said, "Agreed. Tai-San is not trusting his friends to allow us to help him. But most of all, he is not caring about Agumon-San's wellbeing."

I turned to my fox partner and, with a small smile appearing on my lips, I said, "Agreed, Doru-San. And that is why I am not doing the same to you. Because, I trust you completely. I know that as long as I put my faith in you, then we can reach the next level, together. Right, partner? Friends until the end?" I asked as I extended my fist to Dorumon-San, beckoning him to bump fists with me.

Doru-San smiled at me a big toothy grin and placed his fist against mine and said, "And beyond, Luke-San. And beyond."

I smiled, knowing that as long as me and Dorumon-San trust each other, then we are an unstoppable force. Then Sora-San looked down at my lovable Nii-San and said, "But Tai-Kun is really pushing Agumon-San. Agumon-San's stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey."

Then Izzy-San looked away from his computer as he said, "Tai-San's personality has taken a turn for the worst. I remember him being more friendlier, even to us younger kids."

Then Sora-San looked upwards towards the sky as she said, "Actually, now that you mention it, he was cool during soccer camp."

I nodded, and looked skyward as well, remembering those days and said, "He was a lot nicer back then. He was one of the greatest friends you could ever ask for. A truly respectable Nii-San."

Then Sora-San looked back down at Nii-San and said, "Tai-Kun may look like he's trying to run things all by himself, but whatever crazy action he takes, he does it for the good of the team." We all nodded in agreement, but, I noticed that she called Nii-San 'Kun' twice now, I don't think she even noticed it herself, then Sora-San said, "But now all this..."

I was starting to feel like Tai-Nii was forgetting that he was part of a team, then, as if it was to prove my point, we all heard hay say, "We're the only ones who can help now! So you gotta keep eating, okay?" Then he shoved another large fruit down the poor dino's mouth.

Olette-Chan then looked towards me with a frown on her face. "Koi, I think your Nii-San has forgotten all about you." She said in a soft, but concerned voice.

I sadly nodded, fully agreeing with her, and in a sage like voice, I said, "The fires of the leader will shine brightly and lead the team to victory, but, only if he puts his trust in his friends. If the fires are strengthened by a false courage and selfish embers, then, in time, the fire that burns falsely, will consume everything in its path, leaving nothing but smoke and ash in its wake."

Everyone looked at me in shock and wonder, then Matt-San asked, "Wait, what does that even mean? Are you telling us, that if Tai-San continues on this selfish path, that he could potentially hurt all of us?!"

I sadly nodded, not wanting to agree to it myself, but, at the same time, believing it wholeheartedly, and I looked down at my feet as I said, "Yes. Ani wants to do the right thing, that much, I do know, but he is doing it in all the wrong ways."

Then Sora-San looked back down at my baka of a Nii-San and she softly said, "Tai-San's personality seems to have completely changed ever since he got a hold of that Crest Of Courage."

Matt-San nodded, obviously seeing the same thing, then he said, "You just might be right, Sora-San." He then looked towards me and gave me a curious look, and he said, "But, you seem to be exactly as you were before you found your Crest of Protection, Luke-San. Why is that?"

I looked down at my Crest and had a serious expression across my face as I said, "It is because, Matt-San, I know that, having a Crest and using it are two different things. The Crest Of Protection, it's not just a fancy name for a Crest that represents me in more ways than one. It represents my desires to protect those who I cherish and love."

I spoke in a way that sounded passionate, and honest, "It is the symbol of the guardian, and to be a guardian, you must put the needs of others before your own. I have been doing that this whole journey. Making certain that everyone remains safe and sound. That is why…"

I stopped speaking then I tossed my Crest into the air and caught it in my hand and gripped it tightly as I continued, "That is why, I know that, when the time is right, I can allow my partner to reach the next level, but not a moment before."

I looked down at Ani and I said, "The difference between me and Tai-Nii is this, he is kind, but brash. While I am humble, well, more like realistic, if I'm being honest, but, that is besides the point."

Then I let the Crest slip through my fingers, catching the metal chain, and took the time to start watching my Crest swing back and forth, kinda like a pendulum.

As my Crest swung back and forth, I said, "I have had almost two weeks getting used to being weird. You know, the whole Modify Cards shtick. But, now that I have my Crest, I can't just be cocky and think only about myself. I have to think of the team as a whole. If even one of us is missing, or not doing out share of helping out, then the whole team could get hurt. Or worse."

Everyone was silent for awhile, while I looked at Nii-San with a disappointing glance. I was really hoping that I could have avoided this situation.

Then Joe-San sat down and held his knees and he said, "Boy, I'm hungry, guys." Then it looked as if Joe-San had felt something, then he pulled out his Tag, and he said, "Hey, guys!" We all looked at him as he stood up and he said, "My Tag is glowing!"

Then Matt-San stood up and said, "It must be reacting to something."

Then Izzy-San looked at the light blue glowing Tag and he said, "That must mean the Crest must be nearby!"

That was when we heard Tai-Nii run up to us and he asked, "You think so?"

Then Tai-San looked around and his eyes widened slightly at something and he said, "Hey, look!" He then pulled out his mini telescope and said, "There's something out there. It looks like a big building or something."

Then Joe-San ran up ahead and said, "That must be where my Crest is!" Joe-San then ran down the mountain, only to trip on something.

Then Gomamon-San caught up to Joe-San, he asked, "What's a cable doing out in the middle of nowhere?"

Hearing that sent warning bells off in my head and I slid down to where Joe-San had tripped. Once I got down there I looked at the cable. And I instantly knew what it was. "Hmm. This isn't any ordinary cable wire." I said, glaring at the cable.

Izzy-San then looked at me and asked with curiosity, "It's not?"

I shook my head and revealed the name written on the side of the cable, in big bold letters it said 'Etemon' then I said, "No doubt about it now, it is a part of Etemon-Baka's Dark Network."

Everyone gasped, then Matt-San looked over to the building in the distance and asked, "So, does that mean that...?"

I nodded seriously and said, "Yes. Etemon-Baka knows where we are now, and no doubt, once we get to the building up a head, we will most likely be walking into a trap."

While the others became worried, or even slightly on edge, my idiotic Nii-San simply smirked a cocky smirk and arrogantly said, "Bring it on! We'll take him on! We have our Crests after all!" He then punched his open palm, as if he was hoping for a fight.

I wanted to argue, but I knew we had to get Joe-San's Crest Of Reliability. Then I sighed in defeat and I said, "Just be cautious, we don't want to be taken by surprise."

Everyone nodded and we made our way to the building up ahead, which turned out to be a Coliseum. "It's massive!" Olette-Hime said in complete and total awe.

"Amazing! It looks like the Roman Coliseum." Izzy-San said in shock and disbelief.

Then Tentomon-San turned to his partner and asked, "What's the Roman Coliseum, Izzy-San?"

Then Nii-San turned to the multi eyed bug Digimon and said, "Well, Tentomon-San, it's an ancient arena where gladiators did battle for entertainment."

"But the ancient one didn't have big screens!" Mimi-San said, pointing towards the giant jumbo sized screens.

"Or soccer goals!" Sora-San said as we noticed the two nets on both sides of the field.

I nodded, then I said, "Yeah, well, for all we know, this could be a trap, just waiting to be sprung. So we best find that Crest and get going." I turned to Joe-San and asked, "So, Joe-San, any reaction from your Tag?"

Joe-San looked down at his Tag, then he looked at me and shook his head and said, "Nothing. Any clues as to what the Crest looks like, Luke-San? You seem to be the one who knows everything, after all."

I nodded, deciding to at least make it so they aren't searching blindly, and said, "Yes. Keep an eye out for a cross with four triangles, one on each corner. It looks like this." I then drew the Crest Of Reliability on the ground using my finger so that everyone would know what to look for.

Tai-Nii pumped his fist and said, "Got it! Okay, let's split up and search for that Crest!" But then Agumon-San fell onto his butt and groaned in exhaustion. "What's wrong?"

Then Agumon-San was breathing heavily, like he had just finished a marathon, then he said, "I can't move anymore. Lemme rest for a bit."

Then Tai-Nii turned to Agu-San and he angrily said, "COME ON, GET UP! You can do it!"

I then grabbed Tai-Nii by the shoulder and said angrily, "No, Nii-San, you need to let Agumon-San rest! You stuffed him too much and now he can't even move! If Agumon-San gets hurt because he couldn't move at his regular speed, Nii-San, then it's your fault!"

Joe-San placed a then said, "Give him a break, Tai-San. Luke-San's right, if Agumon-San can't move, then he can't fight, besides, we know what the Crest looks like thanks to Luke-San's description. And the only clue we have on finding it is my Tag, so, Gomamon-San and I will search for the Crest. You guys just relax."

We all nodded, agreeing with Joe-San, but then Tai-Nii looked at him and said, "Wait, I'll go with you!" Obviously, he wanted to do something besides sitting around and do nothing.

But then, a soccer ball just rolled out of nowhere. Then Sora-San said in a surprised voice, "A soccer ball! Hey, anybody up for a game?"

Matt-San nodded then he said, "Hey, that would be a great idea. The human team against the Digimon team."

Then Tentomon-San looked around and he asked, "What on Earth is Soccer?" The irony of that question almost made me laugh, but I just settled with a light chuckle.

"It's easy. Use your feet to get the this ball into the goal. You can also use your chest or your head." Sora-San explained, she then turned to me and asked, "So, you want to play, Luke-San?"

I shook my head and said, "I think I'll be the referee, I feel that I would be used for my Modify Cards, so, I will referee this match." I then twirled my HyperChip in between my fingers as I said this, trying to prove my point.

Matt-San, seeing this, nodded in agreement then he said, "Yeah, that makes a good point, can't have someone who can literally move faster then light to play soccer."

Then Sora-San, decided to start the game, kicked the ball high into the air, it then landed near Gabumon-San, who tried to kick it, but he over shot the ball and it bounced off of Biyomon-San's head, and right into Palmon-San's vines. "That's really using your head!"

Then Sora-San chuckled and said, "Oh, and I forgot to tell you, you can't use your hands."

Then Takeru-San looked towards the Digimon and happily said, "Unless you're the goalkeeper. Then you can use your hands!"

Matt-San nodded at his Otouto, then he said, "Yeah, you should be the goalie for your team, Palmon-San."

Palmon-San looked down at the ball, then she smiled and said, "Here!" She then threw the ball into the air.

When it landed, it looked like everyone was ready to start the game, but then Nii-San ran to where the ball landed and kicked it, hard. Sending it flying, and making the game end before it even began.

Then he angrily said, "I can't believe that you're playing soccer at a time like this! Will you guys use your heads for something other than hitting the ball?! And Otouto, you should be more focused on getting Dorumon-San to Digivolve, just like I am!"

I walked up to Tai-Nii, anger clearly on my face, then I grabbed Tai-Nii's shirt and said, "Listen here, Taichi, just because we have our Crests does not mean that we have to do everything by ourselves! We need to work together if we are to get our partners to Digivolve! Besides, I think that we should be able to relax after what we just went through!"

Tai-Nii then grabbed my shirt and said, "The sooner we find Joe-San's Crest, the sooner we can leave! We should not be wasting our time playing games! And you should be agreeing with me, Luke-San! You're my Otouto! You should be agreeing with me!"

I was going to yell at Tai-Nii some more when I heard the sound of laughter. We all looked up at the jumbotron and saw a pair of hands clapping. Then Etemon-Baka's ugly mug appeared on the screen, and he asked, "Who's the king?"

Then Mimi-San screamed in fear as she threw her arms up, "AAH! He's here! Etemon-Baka's here!"

I let go of Tai-Nii's shirt and said, "Retreat!"

We all started running, wanting to get away from this ugly chimpanzee, but Agumon-San was left behind. He then tripped, and I turned around and was about to leave the the goal, with Dorumon-San, and Tai-Nii, but the goal came down and trapped us in there, but before the goal was completely down, I turned to Dorumon-San and said, "You know what to do, right, bud?"

Dorumon-San nodded, knowing what he had to do, then I pushed him out of the goal, just as the net came down on us. "Grr. Now we're trapped!" I said angrily mostly to myself for allowing my guard to go down.

Then we all heard Etemon-San obnoxiously cheer, "GOAL! I SCORED A GOAL!"

Then I heard Tai-Nii say, "The whole thing was a trap!" As if he was only NOW realizing something I had already pointed out.

I turned to Tai-Nii and I could feel myself getting more and more annoyed at him, which was slowly turning to anger, I then said, "See? I told you so! But you said that we could take him on! Kuso Jigoku! Why must you always make things so difficult?"

Then I heard Tentomon-San say, "Does he really think he can trap us with a simple net?" He then flew into the net, only to be shocked violently.

We all were surprised, and were knocked down when Tentomon-San crashed back into Ani, who knocked us all down. Then Etemon-Baka said, "Now now, listen up. If you do that, you might get hurt. You see, there's electricity running through that net. It's a shocker, I know."

I swear, the jokes that come out of this mon's mouth were horrible, and I thought my own jokes were annoying. "Now, I really wanted to be there in person to do this myself, but I'm way to busy. You know how us rock and roll legends are. But don't worry, the act substituting for me is a very rare treat. Let's see if you can figure out who our special guest star is." None of us answered him, mostly because we weren't in the mood to play his games. Then he asked, "Well?"

Then Tai-Nii looked up at Etemon-Baka and boldly asked, "How would we know who it is?"

Etemon-Baka then calmly said, "I'm sure you'll be surprised!"

I got angry as I gripped my D-Ark and pulled out a Modify Card and I spun it between my fingers. "I have no time for guessing games! Leomon's Beast Sword, Activate!" Then the Modify Card became Leomon-San's legendary sword.

But, just as I was about to take the sword out, Etemon-Baka then chuckled, maniacally, which soon erupted into full blown laughter and he said, "Not a bad magic trick, kid, but, did you forget that the net is electrified? You'll get zapped."

I glared at this annoying little monkey mon, my patience was short enough as it was, and I said, "Don't care! If I get hurt, trying to protect my friends, then I know that I am in pain for all the right reasons!" At that moment, I saw my Crest glow a bright pure emerald green glow, and I knew that it was reacting positively to my declaration.

But, just before I could swing my sword, I heard Etemon-San say, "Now, I'm sure you don't want to leave before seeing tonight's guest star. Here he comes!"

Then we all watched in horror as a Greymon burst through the walls. "It's a different Greymon!" Tai-Nii exclaimed in shock.

Olette-Hime turned towards me and said, "He must have snatched one of the Koromon from the village!"

I gripped my sword tightly, deciding that now was the time, then I said, "No more waiting." Then I swung my sword at the net, expecting the net to be cut apart, but the moment the blade touched the net, I got zapped, badly. I was launched onto my back, and my sword turned back into a card. My whole body was pulsing in electricity.

"Luke-Kun!" Olette-Hime's voice called out to me. "Luke-Kun! Luke-Kun! Are you okay, Luke-Kun?" I could hear the concern in her voice.

I slowly opened my eyes, being temporarily blinded and seeing dark spots cover my vision didn't make me feel comfortable and painfully said, "Well, that was, shocking, to say the least." I lightly chuckled at my dry humor.

Then Olette-Chan carefully helped me set up and she hugged me tightly, then she sat back and looked directly into my eyes and she said, "Do try to be more careful, dear."

I smiled warmly at her as I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment and I said, "Don't worry, hunny, I will." I told her truthfully.

Then Etemon-Baka decided to ruin the mode by laughing madly as he said, "Ahahahaha!" I swear, I am really annoyed at the whole cliche of evil characters laughing maniacally all the time. Don't get me wrong, I know this is serious and everything, but, the fact that the villains waste so much time boasting about themselves is annoying. Boast when you're absolutely positive that you've already won, not when it seems like you've won.

"See, I warned you. But you still tried it anyways. I knew you'd be surprised. I'm so evil! Let's get this started! It's time to go. Okay, here's the show." The idiot monkey stated, thus, proving my point.

Then, the evil Greymon destroyed the other net, and the team all looked fearful, but I was ready to fight. And so was Tai-Nii. "It's time to Digivolve!" Ani said to me, and I was all for it.

I nodded as I turned to my partner and asked, "You ready, Doru-San?"

Dorumon-San nodded, while grinning a toothy grin then I spun my D-Ark in my hand and then raised it to the air and said, "Digivolution, Activate!"

D-I-G-I-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

Then Agumon-San and Dorumon-San were engulfed in light, then, suddenly they had transformed into Greymon-San and Dorugamon-San.

I smiled pleasantly, pleased at this and said, "Dorugamon-San, watch Greymon-San's back."

Dorugamon-San nodded and he said, "You got it, Luke-San." I could tell, just by the tone of his voice that he was serious, which, at this moment, was a good thing.

Then we watched as the two Greymon's clashed at each other, trying to throw the other one off their feet. Meanwhile, Dorugamon-San was in the air, waiting for an opening. But, as we watched the two Greymon fight, we saw that Tai's Greymon was sluggish. Then I heard Gabumon-San shout out, "YOU CAN DO IT, GREYMON-SAN!"

Then I heard young Takeru-San shout out, "DON'T LOSE TO THAT PHONEY-BALONEY!" For a little guy, he sure was loud.

But, while I respected everyone's unyielding faith in Greymon-San, I had to shake my head and sadly say, "No, he can't fight."

My annoying, yet still lovable, Ani looked towards me and angrily asked, "Hey, whose side are you on, Otouto?!"

I turned to glare Ani and said, "Look at Greymon-San, Baka. He's sluggish, he can't move like he should be."

And almost as if the DigiWorld was trying to prove my point, Greymon-San was launched into the electrified net, shocking him. I then turned to Dorugamon-San and said, "Doru-San, attack, now!"

Dorugamon-San nodded and turned to the evil Greymon and charged up a metal sphere inside his mouth, then he shouted, "POWER METAL!" And launched the giant iron sphere, the attack had made contact, but it looked like the evil Greymon wasn't even phased by the attack. He didn't even BLINK at it for Omnimon's sake!

Tai-Nii growled in frustration and he said, "Greymon-San, you've got to Digivolve!" But nothing happened.

Then Izzy-San gave us his brilliant skills of observation as he said, "This doesn't look so good. Even with two Champion Level Digimon working together, it doesn't even look like they're making a scratch on him."

Then Tentomon-San, being the nervous bug, then said, "We're done for if either of them can't Digivolve again!"

Then the evil Greymon started laughing, and Tai-Nii balled his hands into fists and said, "Digivolve, Greymon-San! You've got to!"

I gripped my Crest tightly and thought, 'If only I knew how to make Dorugamon-San go Ultimate. But I don't want to risk losing my partner because I was careless.' I looked down to my Crest and saw it was glowing, but nothing was happening. 'Whatever the reason why my Crest won't activate, I am not going to rush it and risk losing my closest friend.' Then my crest began glowing brighter.

Then Greymon-San charged at the evil Greymon, and then Dorugamon-San charged up another iron sphere and said, "Greymon-San, watch out!" Greymon-San looked up, and he quickly backed away, well, as quick as he could, that it.

Dorugamon-San saw that there was enough room, so he charged downwards and shouted, "Cannonball!" And struck the evil Greymon on the gut. But he got grabbed, and tossed like a rag doll.

When Dorugamon-San hit the ground, I felt the pain that he did, causing me to fall to my knees. Then the evil Greymon turned towards Ani's Greymon, and threw him to the ground. Then he started stomping on him. Then Tai-Nii angrily asked, "What are they waiting for? Why won't either one of them Digivolve to the next level?"

"It's not working, Tai-San. Your Crest isn't reacting at all. Maybe you gave him too much to eat." Izzy-San speculated, which, probably wasn't too far off, if it wasn't for the fact that Nii-San wasn't acting courageous in any way shape or form.

Then Tai-Nii looked at me and said, "Yeah? My crest may not be reacting. But his is." Tai-Nii pointed at me accusingly as he said, "And yet, he's not doing anything!" It sounded like he was saying that I was purposely preventing Doru-San from Digivolving.

I turned to Tai-Nii with a harsh glare and asked, "You really think that I have been standing here doing nothing, Tai-Nii!? I don't know why my Crest is reacting right now, but it's not making Dorugamon-San Digivolve! And I am not going to put myself in danger just to try to force a Digivolution! That would be stupid!"

Then Matt-San turned towards the battle and said, "Maybe they can't Digivolve."

Then Tai-Nii angrily said, "Of course they can! Come on, Greymon-San, you can do it! Dorugamon-San, Digivolve already!"

Then I grabbed Tai-Nii's shirt and pulled him so we were face to face, then I said, "Hey, don't tell my partner what to do, Nii-San! He's my partner, not yours, remember that!"

Tai-Nii then grabbed my by the arm and said, "You know what I think, Otouto, I think that you're refusing to let your partner Digivolve because you think he's better than ours."

Then Olette-Hime gasped in shock said, "Tai-San! How dare you say that to your own Otouto!" She was standing up for me. I knew there was a reason I fell for her. And this just made me love her even more.

Tai-Nii then turned to Olette-Hime and glared at her as he said, "You keep out of this! I am talking to your boyfriend right now, not you! So, mind your own business!" Olette-Hime looked shocked, and hurt, almost like she was going to start crying.

That got me angry. No one made my Hime cry. No one. I raised my fist at Tai-Baka, threatening to punch him square in the jaw for even thinking about yelling at my girlfriend. "Listen here, Taichi, I have no idea what has gotten into to you today, but you need calm down! You need to apologise to Olette-Chan, right now!"

Tai-Nii looked at me with an arrogant frown and he asked, "And why should I? She should learn to mind her own business!"

I tightened my grip on Tai-Nii's shirt, it was getting harder and harder for me to keep my cool as I said, "You can say what ever you want to me, Ani, do it, and I won't even raise my voice, and that is only because we're Burazāzu. But if you ever, and I mean EVER, bad mouth Olette-Hime ever again, you and I are going to have a long talk about respect afterwards towards, not just towards girls, but towards everyone around you!"

Tai-Baka then pushed me off of him forcibly, then he turned to Greymon-San and shouted, "Just believe in your power and you can Digivolve!"

I sighed, both annoyed and disappointed at my Nii-San, then I turned to Olette-Hime and grabbed her hand. "Are you okay, my Hime?" I asked her with worry in my voice.

Olette-Chan nodded and smiled warmly then said, "Yeah, I'm fine, Koi. Thanks for standing up for me."

I gave her a loving smile and said, "I would never let anyone get away with yelling at you, love. Not even my Ani. Not in front of me. Not ever." Olette-Hime then hugged me tightly and I returned the hug.

Then I noted that she seemed to have tears falling down her face, I wiped the tears from her face and loving said, "Now, now. No time for tears, O-Hime. You're too beautiful to be crying."

Olette-Hime seemed to smile at me with a bright blush on her face, and her eyes seemed to have darted to the sides and she plainly said, "Flirt."

I could feel a blush creeping its way onto my face as I smiled and said, "Only for you, Aisuru. Only for you." I then let go of her and kissed her on the cheek.

I heard Matt-San clear his throat, then say, "Not that I am glad to see you have your own little moment, but can we focus on finding a way out of here already?"

I got a serious look on my face and said, "Sorry, Yamato. How's things looking?"

Matt-San turned to where the action was and said, "See for yourself."

I turned and saw that Tai-Nii's Greymon was still being stomped on, only for him to use his tail to knock the evil Greymon off his feet. Then I noticed that Dorugamon-San had regained his bearings and started charging up another Power Metal, and then launched it at the Evil Greymon.

Tai-Nii threw his fist up into the air as he cheered and said, "Way to go, you guys!"

Greymon-San then tried charging up an attack and said, "Nova Blast!" But when he tried to fire his attack, all that came out of him, was a burp.

Then Mimi-San waved her hand in front of her face and said, "He certainly doesn't have any Digimanners. At least say excuse me."

Then Matt-San then seemed to have noticed something and he asked, "Am I imagining it, or is he moving a lot slower then usual? I mean, that evil Greymon is moving faster then Greymon-San."

Then Izzy-San seemed to have a lightbulb appear over his head as he exclaimed, "He consumed way too much, so his reflexes are sluggish!"

Then Tentomon-San started to fly up while saying, "You're right, Izzy-San." But Tentomon-San got to close to the net, and got zapped. "Ow! Not again."

I then turned to Tai-Nii with an accusing glare and asked, "See, Nii-San? If you didn't stuff Agumon-San like he was some kind of Christmas roast, then Greymon-San wouldn't be so sluggish!"

Tai-Nii then glared at me and asked, "Oh, yeah? Well, if you ask me, Dorugamon-San shouldn't even be fighting right now! Because he had to have eaten way more then Agumon-San! If you had just given all of the food to Agumon-San like I told you too, then Greymon-San would have Digivolved by now!"

Okay, that does it! Nii-San had finally done it, he crossed the final line, blaming my own partner for something, when, in actuality, it is actually HIS fault.

I told him to not blame others, and what does he do? First, he yells at O-Hime, then he snaps at ME for something that wasn't even my fault, and now, he blames Dour-San, that's strike three, and now, he's out!

I glared harshly at Tai-Nii, then I pulled my arm back, tightened my fist, then I punched the Baka right in the gut. Then we all watched at Tai-Nii fell down to the ground, writhing in pain, while it hurt me to hit him, I just HATE people who insult my friends and loved ones. And when it comes from my own Nii-San? That is when it's the worst.

Then I knelt down to him and stared into his eyes as I said, "Don't you EVER blame Dorugamon-San for your problems, Tai-Baka! What is happening here is because of you. Not me, not Olette-Hime, and certainly not Doru-San, but you. If you didn't force Agumon-San to eat so much, then he wouldn't be losing right now!"

Tai-Nii growled at me, then he slowly got back onto his feet and turned towards the fight and saw Greymon-San being dragged away by the evil Greymon and he said, "Greymon-San! Get up and fight!"

I turned my attention to the fight, and asked, "Doru-San, go and help out Greymon-San!"

Dorugamon-San nodded, then he charged at the evil Greymon, who turned to him and launched a Nova Flame at Dorugamon-San, sending him to the ground. I clenched my body as I felt like I was being burned alive.

"AAAAAHHHHHHRRRRRGGGGGG!" I screamed out in pain. Almost as if I was inside a volcano!

I fell to the ground, I tried opening my eyes, but I felt disoriented, and I even think I saw a few stars in my vision. Then my vision turned black. "LUKAS!" I heard Olette-Hime scream out my name, and I tried opening my eyes, but it was getting harder and harder to do so.

But eventually, I was able to open my eyes, and I saw someone standing over me. "Luke-Kun! Luke-Kun! Luke-Kun, can you hear me?" It was Olette-Hime. And she sounded worried.

I saw that my vision was returning and I saw the concerned looks on everyone's faces, even Nii-San looked slightly worried, but he quickly turned back to the fight. It was Olette-Hime who looked the most concerned, however as she said, "Luke-Kun, are you okay?"

I smiled softly at her and said, "I must have died, because there is an angle hovering over me."

Olette-Hime blushed madly at that and she said, "Oh, hush you. You nearly gave me a heart attack. I thought you died."

I chuckled as Olette-Hime slowly helped me sit up, then I said, "Sorry, dear. You won't be getting rid of me that easily."

Then I heard Rouge-San make a fake barf sound, then she called out, "Ugh, can you two love Birdramon's give it a rest already? I think I'm gonna be sick."

I rolled my eyes and sarcastically said, "Gee, thanks for being concerned about my well being, Rouge-Chan. Nice to see that after all this time, you have finally learned to love me."

Then we heard Etemon-Baka's voice call out, "It's looking like this is gonna be over sooner than I thought! Ha ha ha!"

We watched in horror as the evil Greymon charged Ani's Greymon right into Dorugamon-San. I lightly flinched at feeling what my partner had just felt.

Then I heard Gomamon-San shout out, "We really need help! Marching Fishes!"

Then the statues that surrounded the arena started to spew out water, and soon schools of fishes started to emerge from the statue heads. Then they went onto of the statue and retrieved fireworks from a Gazimon that seemed to have appeared at some point, and used them to distract the evil Greymon.

Then Joe-San blinked several times in confusion as he asked, "Uh, Gomamon-San, where did those fish come from? How could they just come out of there like that?"

To which Gomamon-San happily replied with, "I don't know, but if it's not broken, don't fix it."

I smiled at this and said, "Truer words have never been spoken."

Then Izzy-San walked up to Joe-San and said, "It's really elementary, Joe-San. There's probably just a dimensional vortex rift in the water."

And Gomamon-San nodded and he said, "Ditto!"

But this caused Olette-Hime to tilt her head to the side as she asked in a slightly confused tone, "Uh, what does that mean in english?"

I turned to her and said, "Basically, what he is trying to say is that when Gomamon-San calls upon his 'Marching Fishes' he can create a portal from point A to point B. The fish from point A, wherever it is that they were, and they get transported from where they were, via a small hole in the fabric of reality, and brought over here to point B. It is really simple."

I then looked at everyone and saw that they had dumbfounded looks on their faces. "What?" I asked them confused. "Is there something on my face?"

Matt-San then looked at me and said, "Since when can you understand what Izzy-San's ramblings mean, Luke-San?"

I looked at Matt-San with a raised eyebrow, then I realized what he meant and said, "Oh, that? Well, I was a bit of a nerd in my past life. Can't really get into details here, but let's just say that if nerd was a language, which, to me, it is, then I would be a translator."

Everyone just looked at me with a confused look, which caused me to chuckle a bit, then I turned towards the fight, and saw the fish using the fireworks to distract the evil Greymon long enough for Dorugamon-San to regain his bearings.

Then Sora-San looked towards the flying fish and said, "Thank you, fish!" Then she turned towards us and asked, "Now, what are we going to do to get out of here?"

I looked towards her and said, "Right now, I need to make sure that Dorugamon-San doesn't get turned into dust, so let me give him a fighting chance, then we can figure a way out!"

After I said that, I reached for three of my Modify Cards and looked down at them for a moment, then I said, "I know that, even together, these won't give Dorugamon-San much of an advantage, but, even so, it is an advantage nonetheless. But, it's worth a shot."

Then I raised my three Modify Cards into the air and said, "DigiModify, Recharge, Activate! DigiModify, Power Activate! DigiModify, Leomon's Beast Sword, Activate!" After I swiped all three cards through my D-Ark, I watched as Dorugamon-San began glowing.

First in a tranquil green glow, and you can actually see his bruises disappearing. Then glow in a violent red glow. And finally, Leomon's Beast Sword appeared around Dorugamon-San's waist. "Go get that evil Dino, bud!"

Dorugamon-San nodded as he reached behind him, and pulled the sword out from its sheath, then, with a looked of determination, he charged at the evil Greymon and took a swing at him, ready to cut him to pieces.

Seeing that my friend was entering round two, I turned to the others and saw that Yamato-San, Takeru-Kun and Izzy-San were working together in lifting a giant stone slab.

Then Izzy-San started rubbing the dirt, possibly feeling for the composition of the dirt, or something scientific like that, then he said, "We should dig a hole and tunnel our way out."

Matt-San, seeing that as a better idea then trying to cut our way out, again, nodded and said, "Good idea."

I nodded, agreeing with Izzy-San's idea, and said, "Smart thinking. Let's get to it!"

Then we all started to move the stone slabs out of the way, and create a big enough space for us to start digging. As we were digging, I lightly chuckled and said, "Sad that I didn't end up fighting Drimogemon-San, back at the convince store."

Matt-San looked towards me and asked, "Why do you say that, Luke-San?"

I dug into the dirt with my nails and said, "Because, on two separate occasions, my D-Ark gave me new Modify Cards from different Digimon. Crescemon-San simply placed her hand on my D-Ark, and Luna Nova shot out of my Digivice. And during a fight against a Black Gear corrupted Digimon, Dark Archery and Ice Archery shot out as well."

"And when you threw your D-Ark into Leomon-San's chest, you got Fist Of the Beast King and his sword as well." Matt-San finished, while realizing what I was talking about.

I nodded and said, "Yeah. And if I had at least TRIED fighting Drimogemon, then I could have possibly obtained another Modify Card to use. But, that is only IF my D-Ark has to come into contact with a Digimon."

After that, we focused on digging our way out of here when we noticed another black cable. "Hey, there's a black cable here, too." Takeru-Kun had said, pointing out the cable.

Then Tentomon-San landed on something and he said, "This rock is in the way."

I looked at the rock and noticed the design etched into it and smiled as I said, "This is no ordinary rock, Tentomon-San. It's a Crest."

I looked up at Joe-San and silently nodded, he quickly took out his Tag and saw it glowing in a bright sea blue glow, then he asked, "This is my Crest?"

I nodded and then Joe-San said, "If this really is the Crest that goes with my Tag, then maybe..." He then placed his Tag over the Crest of Reliability, and soon, the rock lit up like the Fourth of July, and soon, the Crest was inside the Tag.

I smiled at Joe-San, then I slapped him in the back with a smile on my face and said, "Congratulations on finding your Crest, Joe-San." I was going to say more, but I felt a slight shift in the ground beneath us. I looked down and said, "Huh?"

Olette-Hime looked at me and asked, "What is it, Luke-Kun?"

Before I even got to answer her, the ground beneath us caved in, and we fell quite a distance. We were piled on top of one another, Tai-Nii on the bottom, with Mimi-San, Sora-San and Izzy-San on top of him. In another pile was me, with me laying on my stomach, Joe-San and Takeru-Kun on top of him. Olette-Chan seemed to be giggling at the tangled mess of kids and Digimon she saw. All the while, she was hovering over us in midair.

I gave her a half hearted glare, which seemed to make her giggle even more, and hearing her giggle caused me to lightly smile, no way I could ever be angry at her.

Speaking of the Digimon, they were all piled on top of one another. Then Joe-San lifted up his Tag and Crest and said, "It is my Crest! Yes!" TK-Kun then jumped off of Joe-San, and went to get the Digimon untangled.

I groaned painfully and said, "It's the Crest Of Reliability, Joe-San. Now, can you do me a favor and get off of me?"

Joe-San looked down at me and I gave him an annoyed glance, then he jumped off of me and said, "Uh, oops. Sorry, Luke-San."

I slowly stood up and cracked my back, then I said, "It's okay, Joe-San."

Then I heard Tentomon-San's voice say, "Hey, we can get out through here."

We looked up to where Tentomon-San was pointing to, and saw a tunnel or cave of some kind near where we fell. Then I turned to Palmon-San and asked, "Think you can give us a lift, Palmon-San?"

Palmon-San nodded, then she shouted, "Poison Ivy!" And extended her vine fingers up to the cave. Then she pulled herself up and said, "I can take you guys one at a time! Let me know when you're ready!"

We all nodded, then I said, "Thanks, Palmon-San!" I turned to Takeru-Kun, and said, "Takeru-Kun, you're up first." Takeru-Kun nodded, and with Poyomon-San in his hands, then, giving her a nod, Palmon-San pulled him up.

After we got everyone up to the cave, we followed the tunnel and soon found ourselves in the stands of the arena. We got up just in time to see the evil Greymon throw Tai-Nii's Greymon through a wall. Then he launched a Nova Flame at Dorugamon-San, knocking him down.

I clenched my fists in despair as I was forced to watch our partners get thrown around like rag dolls, both me and Tai-Nii clenched our Crests tightly in our hands, then Tai-Nii shouted out, "Greymon-San, you could win if you'd only Digivolve."

I was seriously getting fed up with my Ani's demands over his partner, I turned to him and said, "Nii-San, instead of demanding more and more out of Greymon-San, why don't you actually start believing in your partner, and put your trust in him."

But Tai-San simply ignored me, and arrogantly said, "No, he needs to Digivolve, it is the only way for us to win now!"

Tai-Nii then decided to do something, and he climbed up onto the wall, but me and Sora-San both grabbed him, and Sora-San almost shouted out, "Tai-San, don't."

Tai-Nii turned to us and angrily said, "Don't stop me! This is my chance to make him Digivolve to the next level."

I glared at hard at Nii-Baka and said in a voice that at the moment, actually sounded like two voices were speaking at once, but at that time, I didn't know that, "Taichi Kamiya, if you do this, you will create a monster worse then that evil Greymon. If you abandon your friendship with Greymon-San, just because he can't fight because of your own arrogance, and disregard your friendship, then you will corrupt the Crest Of Courage and fall into your own darkness. Do you want that?"

Tai-Nii looked at me, and for a second I had actually thought that I had gotten through to him, but then he turned around and said, "Mind your own business, Otouto. Greymon-San is my partner, and I will do whatever I think is necessary to make him Digivolve to the next level!"

Sora-San started, "But, Tai-Kun, without a reaction from the Crest, there's no way for him to Digivolve!"

I nodded, agreeing with the soon to be holder of the Crest of Love and said, "She's right, Tai-Nii! And you running in blindly is going to do more harm than good!"

Tai-Nii then turned to me and angrily asked, "Oh, yeah? Speak for yourself, Otouto. Your crest is reacting, yet Dorugamon-San hasn't Digivolved yet, so it obvious that I must be the one to do it."

Then Tai-Nii leaped out of our hands and down into the arena. Matt-San looked down at the arena and he asked, "What do you think he is going to do?"

Then Izzy-San turned to the ever cool headed Matt-San, and he said, "The other condition for Digivolving is that their partner must be in danger."

Matt-San, hearing this, turned towards the brainiac, and he asked, "You mean he's going to put himself in danger, just to make Greymon-San Digivolve?"

I growled in annoyance, then I hopped onto the wall and said, "Nantekotta, Tai-Nii! You always have to do things the hard way, don't you? Looks like I have to be one to keep you out of trouble, again!"

Just before I jumped, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, I turned and saw Olette-Hime looking at me in concern, then she said, "Luke-Kun, please don't do this."

I looked at my girlfriend dead in her red and blue eyes, then I softly said, "If I don't do this, then that Baka could seriously get hurt."

Then Sora-San gasped in shock as she said, "He wouldn't!"

"Hot Head is not thinking clearly, Mother Hen. He is obviously letting that Crest of his go to his head!" Rouge-San said in a very annoyed tone.

Then we heard Etemon-Baka's annoying voice say, "Hurry up and finish him off! Use your Nova Blast! Ha ha ha!"

But, just before the Evil Greymon could even conduct his attack, Tai-Nii threw a small rock at his head and shouted, "Stop!" The rock was enough for the Evil Greymon's attack to be altered.

I looked down and saw Dorugamon-San slowly getting up, clearly he wasn't down yet. I clenched my fists tightly, then I jumped down, when I jumped I heard Olette-Hime's voice say, "Lukas-Kun!"

When I landed, I turned to her and said, "Stay up there, Hime! Watch over everyone for me!" I could tell that she was worried about me, but she nodded. I smiled in gratitude, then I turned to Dorugamon-San.

I needed to check on my partner. I ran to where he was laying, then I asked, "Dorugamon-San, can you hear me? Dorugamon-San?"

Then I watched as Doru-San started moving and he asked, "Luke-San? What are you doing here?"

I smiled at my partner and said, "Making sure that you are safe, bud."

Dorugamon-San smiled at me and said, "Thanks, Luke-San."

I nodded and gave him a big smile, but then I felt the ground shake, I turned and saw that Birdramon-San and Garurumon-San had joined the fight. I looked at my partner and asked, "You ready for a tag team, Dorugamon-San?" I gave my partner a huge smile.

Dorugamon-San stood up and smiled back and said, "Always, Luke-San. Always."

I smiled brighter, then I climbed up onto his back, and together, we stood next to Tai-Nii and Garurumon-San, while Birdramon-San hovered above us.

I turned towards Tai-Nii and yelled out, "Nii-San, get out of here! It's too dangerous for you out here!"

Tai-Nii looked at me and yelled, "No!" He then turned towards Greymon-San and said, "Greymon-San, I believe in you! You can do it, Greymon-San! Digivolve!"

The moment he said that, I felt a dark, malevolent, energy just pulse through the arena. I looked down and I saw Tai-Nii's Crest was glowing, but something was wrong. I saw dark sparks of electricity fly off of the Crest, then I saw it turn from bright orange, to pitch black.

When I saw that, I felt a chill run down my spine. Then I saw a dark orange glow coming from above of me. I looked up and my eyes widened in fear as the sky above us looked like it had been ripped open by some malicious beast, and dark energy started to be absorbed into Ani's Greymon.

But what truly stopped my heart, was when I heard Tai-Nii scream out in pain. I looked down and saw that underneath Tai-Nii, was a pitch black version of the Crest Of Courage glowing underneath Tai-Nii.

Then I was forced to watch as dark red fire started to rise from the ground beneath Tai-Nii, almost in the form of chains, then watched as the chains wrapped around Tai-Nii, and causing him pain. Then I watched as Greymon-San became the possibly one of the most fear inducing monsters to ever walk this Digital Plane. And it was then that I had failed to do what I was hoping from happening.

I heard Sora-San yell out, "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!?"

I didn't answer, because I couldn't speak, I was too afraid to even breath. I watched as Greymon-San's skin turned an almost ash grey, then watched as he was engulfed in fire. When the fire died, all that remained of Greymon-San, were the bones. But, he also had a horrifying shark like, flesh missile on his back, and his heart was also showing.

When I looked down at Tai-Nii, I saw that he was covered in these dark markings, it almost reminded me of the first stage of the Curse Mark from Naruto. I also saw that his eyes were pitch black, and a dark Crest of Courage on his forehead, he had one of the most cruelest smirks on his face. Something that I have never seen on my Nii-San, until today, that is.

Then I heard Sora-San yell, "What in the world?" Most likely asking about the new Greymon-San.

"What do you think that is?" Matt-San asked in slight fear.

Then Tentomon-San assured my fears as he said, "Oh, my! Is that what I think it is?"

Then Sora-San asked, "What do you call that thing?"

And Tentomon-San replied with, "SkullGreymon! The very sight of him makes other Digimon tremble in fear! He is a fully Digivolved Digimon whose explosive power causes him to constantly search for battle!"

Then Izzy-San then said, "This could be very bad. But, what happened to Tai-San?"

My voice hitched in terror, as I slowly asked, "Tai-Nii? Nii-San, is that you?"

But, "Ani" didn't answer me, instead he raised his hand and placed his middle finger and his thumb together, then he said in a dark and evil voice, "SkullGreymon, get rid of this faker."

And then he said, "Dark Shot." And at that command, he snapped his fingers, and SkullGreymon turned to the other evil Greymon, and back handed him, and launched him into the Jumbotron, and then he fired the Missile at the Jumbotron, obliterating it.

I turned to Tai-Nii and yell out, "Ani! Stop this! This isn't you!"

Then "Tai-Nii" turned to me and with an evil smirk, he said in a deep, almost, mechanical tone, almost like he had a mask over his mouth. In face, that way his voice sounded, reminded me of Bane from the Dark Knight Rises, "So sorry, Luke-Otouto,"

The way he emphasized on the Otouto, sounded like an insult, then he continued, "but your 'Nii-San' isn't here right now, but don't worry, I'll be sure that he gets to watch as I destroy each and every last one of his friends. AH HA HA HA HA!"

The way that Tai-Nii, no, not Nii-San, this, this monster laughed, was almost like something out of a horror movie, I glared from on top of Doru-San, then I asked, "Just who are you!? What do you want!?"

The evil, maniacal laughter that came out of my possessed Nii-San, sent chills down my spine, then he asked, "Me? Well, I guess I could tell you. It would be, delightful for you to know of your destroyer, after all."

I looked at him with anger in my eyes as I asked, "Enough of your blabbering! Who or what are you?"

Then, my possessed Ani darkly chuckled and he said, "Here's a little hint. I was created to help Tai-Baka Digivolve his partner to go beyond the Champion level. But, because he failed to keep his ego in check, his own pride and arrogance led to the darkness taking over, and I was given control."

At first I couldn't understand what this, creature was going on about, but then it hit me like a Monochromon. "You, you're the Crest Of Courage?"

The possessed Nii-San smiled wildly and he snapped his fingers as he said, "Bingo. You catch on quick, for a human. But, if you want to be personal, you can just call me," He then closed his eyes and darkly chuckled, then he opened them back up and said, "Phobos! And, please, no honorifics. They're just not my style."

I growled angrily at the newly dubbed Phobos, then I turned to Garurumon-San and Birdramon-San and said, "Garurumon-San! Birdramon-San! Get the others out of here, quickly!"

Garurumon-San turned to me and asked, "Have you lost it, Luke-San?! You can't take these two on your own! You'll be crushed!"

I glared at Garurumon-San and said, "Just do it! Ani is no longer himself! He has been taken over by the negativity he created by forcing Greymon-San to Dark Digivolve! You need to get everyone out of here, NOW!"

Then Phobos chuckled and said, "I don't think so." Phobos then jumped beyond normal human limits, and landed on SkullGreymon's head, then he raised his hand again, and darkly said, "SkullGreymon, Double Dark Shot! Destroy these pests!"

Then Phobos snapped his fingers and SkullGreymon turned to Garurumon-San and Birdramon-San, and fired two missiles at them, knocking them backwards, and forcing them back into their Rookie forms.

"Oh, no! Biyomon-San!" I heard Sora-San cry out to her partner.

"Gabumon-San! Are you okay?!" I heard Yamato yell out in concern.

Then Phobos raised his right hand and I saw a ball of dark flames form in his palm. Then he said, "I think I have had enough fun. Now I think I will destroy the DigiDestined, once and for all! AH HA HA HA HA!" He then turned to our friends and said, "Sorry, nothing personal, you're just in my way! Now, be gone! Dākufureimu!"

He then launched the ball of dark fire at our friends, and I watched in horror as the ball of fire just kept getting bigger and bigger, the closer it got to my friends. I couldn't take it anymore. I turned to Dorugamon-San and said, "Doru-San, quickly!"

Dorugamon-San nodded and he took off, trying to get in front of the ball of fire, but we weren't going to make it. Then I stood up on top of Dorugamon-San's back, and I said, "I will not lose my friends! Not here! Not now! Not ever!"

Then my Crest began glowing brighter than I have ever seen it. I then jumped off of Dorugamon-San's back and dived down to try and take the hit for myself! Then I said, "I am Kamiya Lukas Kouki! The. DigiDestined. Of. PROTECTION!"

With that last declaration, I landed in front of my friends, just before the fire hit them, then, I crossed my arms, and closed my eyes, hoping to be able stop the attack myself.

But then, I felt a huge build up in power coming from within me. Then I heard a voice call out to me, saying, "Kamiya 'Lukas' Kouki."

I opened my eyes, and found myself standing in an empty area, it was pitch black, and there was nothing anywhere. "Hello? Is there anybody here?" I called out into the void.

Then the voice said, "You have shown true strength, nobility, and most of all, you have shown that you have the guts to throw yourself into danger, not to force a Digivolution, like your brother did, but in order to save your friends."

I looked around, searching for the source of the voice and asked, "Who are you? Where are you?" My voice was filled with confusion. "Last thing I remember, I was about to take a hit for my friends, then, I end up here."

Then the voice said, "Yes. The bravery that you have shown when you stood between your friends, and your Ani's attack, that willingness to protect, to trade your life, for theirs, would have been the most heroic sacrifice anyone would have respected."

My eyes widened, then I asked with fear in my voice, "Sacrifice? You mean, I'm dead? Again?" Then, my fear turned into annoyance, and I said, "Man, Olette-Hime's gonna kill me." I said in a joking tone.

Then a bright light appeared in front of me, and the voice said, "No, not dead. You misheard me. I said it would have been the most heroic sacrifice."

Then I asked him, "Than where am I? Is this a dream? Am I having a heart attack?"

The figure simply chuckled and said, "No, nothing like that. More like, in a deeper part of your mind. I brought you here right when you jumped in front of that attack, right after you made your declaration."

I looked at where the figure was, trying to see who it was, but the light was too blinding, and I couldn't even see who it was.

Then I decided to voice my confusion as I asked, "Who are you? Are you the same voice from my nightmare? Or, are you the voice who guided me to the Crest Of Protection?"

The figure then said, "I am the voice who guided you to your Crest."

Then the light faded and my eyes widened in shock, "No way! You're… me?"

Indeed, the figure that was standing in front of me, was myself. From the light green eyes, the short, straight, light brown hair, down to my grey shorts, light blue shortsleeved shirt, and sunglasses. It was like I was looking into a mirror. I then slowly walked up to my copy and wearily asked, "Who…Who are you?"

My double lightly chuckled and said, "I am the embodiment of your Crest Of Protection, Luke-San."

My eyes widened even further at this revelation, and I asked, "You're, you're the Crest Of Protection?"

My double nodded with a chuckle, then he said, "Yes, but, if you want, you can call me, Apollo. How is that?"

I was a little weirded out by what was happening, then I remembered, "Wait! My friends! Doru-San, Olette-Hime! Everyone! They're all going to be deleted by SkullGreymon and Phobos!"

Apollo-San started laughing, but not in a insulting way, but a bit humorous way, then he walked behind me and placed his hand on my left shoulder and he said, "Kouki, this is the deepest part of your mind, in here, time is irreverent, meaningless. Your friends are safe, for now, but not for long."

I was surprised at this info, then he said, "But, your concern is true, if you don't do something, all of the DigiDestined will be erased, and the Digital World will fall into darkness."

I looked at Apollo-San dead in the eyes with the most serious look I could muster, then I asked, "What can I do to stop this, Phobos?"

Apollo-San smiled at me and extended his hand, and said, "Embrace the light of Protection. And show them all, the strength of the Earth."

I looked down at the hand, then into Apollo-San's eyes, then I grabbed the hand and said, "Let's go knock some sense back into that Baka of a Nii-San of mine!" I smiled wildly.

Apollo-San smiled as well, then he said, "Time to Rock 'N' Roll!"

Then we were both enveloped in a bright green glow, and soon, I felt my arms were back in front of me, crossed, my eyes were still closed, but I heard everyone gasp in shock.

I looked up with a glare, and I was surprised to see a green shield in front of me. It was the same shield design that was on my Crest. And it had stopped the Dākufureimu attack. But my surprise quickly turned into determination.

Then Phobos, in an enraged tone, said, "No! How were you able to stop my attack?"

I glared at the corrupted version of my Nii-San, then I said in a voice that sounded like two people speaking, "Because, I am Kamiya Kouki, and I am the DigiDestined Of Protection. And if you think that I am going to let you harm my friends, then you have another thing coming!"

I then turned to my partner and asked, "You ready to kick things up a notch, Doru-San?"

Dorugamon-San nodded, then he started to smile that fox like smile as he said, "Time to go Ultimate!"

I nodded, then my Crest began glowing as bright as it possibly could, then I raised up my D-Ark and shouted, "The Crest Of Protection!" Then my D-Ark began to shake rapidly, and it's colors started changing, it was now, blue, with red buttons.

Then we all watched as my D-Ark released a massive beam of light into the sky, only for my Crest to do the same thing, then both lights converged in the sky, then they shot right into Dorugamon-San's gem. Then Doru-San started to turn into data.

D-I-G-I-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

Then he said, "Dorugamon, Digivolve too..." We all watched as Dorugamon suddenly became a large, quadrupedal red Dragon with white fur going down from the bottom of his long neck, to the start of his tail.

He now had four silver wings with golden rings going along the side of the tops of the wings, he also had black stripes on the top of his fur. His tail looks like it has been twisted up a bit, with a golden spear like weapon on the ends of his tail.

He also had four small spikes coming out of the back his neck, and a large metal horn on his snout, the red gem that was on his head, had gotten smaller. Then my new Ultimate level partner shouted out, "DoruGreymon!"

I smiled brightly at my newly Digivolved partner and threw my fist into the air as I said, "Way to go, DoruGreymon-San! You did it!"

I then heard Izzy-San ask, "Who is that Digimon?" His voice was full of wonder at the new Digimon before us.

Then Tentomon-San gasped in shock and, "Egads! I can't believe it! It's DoruGreymon! He is said to be the carrier of the legendary 'X Antibody!' He is one of the most elusive Digimon of all time! His intelligence is why he is never seen, he won't just appear for no good reason. There are stories that call DoruGreymon 'The Final Enemy!'"

Sora-San looked at Tentomon-San in confusion and asked, "Why is he called that?"

Tentomon-San then looked towards Sora-San, and he said, "Because, it's power is so great, that it can demolish almost any kind of Digimon! And those that have survived his presence tell that he is relentless in his attacks. His Metal Meteor can become ten times his own size, and his Bloody Tower can penetrate almost any kind of armor, there is almost nothing that can stand in DoruGreymon's way."

I heard Mimi-San gulped in a nervous manner as she asked, "He's on our side, right?"

I smirked, because I had already known the answer and I said, "Yes. Yes he is, right, bud?"

Then, before my partner could answer me, Joe-San fearfully asked, "How can we be so sure?"

DoruGreymon-San turned to me, and gave me a wild smirk, then he said, "I will always be on your side, Jeremy."

I chuckled at my partners choice of what name to call me, and I said, "That's how! Only Doru-San would ever call me Jeremy."

I then turned towards Olette-Hime and said, "Watch over them for me, Hime. I'll be back."

I saw the nervousness on her face, and knew that she was just worried about me, then I gently kissed her on the lips and said, "That's my promise to you. I won't ever leave you, Hime."

She lightly blushed, but she nodded and said, "Alright, just be careful, Koi."

I lightly chuckled and said, "I'm gonna be fighting an evil version of my Nii-San, this is going to be the most dangerous fight I have ever entered. But, I'll try to be as careful as I can."

Olette-Chan nodded softly at me, then I turned and glared hard at Phobos, then I lowered my sunglasses over my eyes and pointed my emerald green shield at Phobos, and said, "Now it is time we dealt with these two. DoruGreymon-San, you handle SkullGreymon, I got Phobos."

Doru-San simply nodded, then he flapped his four wings and took to the sky. Then I charged down at Phobos and said, "Let's finish this, Phobos."

Phobos just laughed and he sarcastically said, "Oh, so the little boy thinks he's a hero just because he awakened his Crest? How cute. But that won't be enough to stop me. Just watch."

He then lifted up his hand, and a darker version of the Crest Of Courage, and soon, a pitch black sword appeared in his hands, I could just feel the darkness radiating off of it. "I'm gonna turn you into ash! Then your friends will be next!"

I brought my shield in front of me and said, "I won't let you use my Nii-San to destroy us! I will defeat you!"

Phobos-Baka chuckled darkly, then he brought his sword back and said, "We shall see about that. Amaterasu!" Then the sword was engulfed in a pitch back fire, and then Phobos extended the sword, and launched the great fire of the sun goddess at me.

I then had a name suddenly appear in my head, then I said, "Susanō no āsugādin!" Then I raised my arms up, and the very ground beneath me, raised to create a massive wall to stop the fire.

I then lowered the wall and smirked, then, for whatever reason, I decided to taunt Phobos, and I said, "What's the matter? I thought you were going to turn me into ash?" I then gave Phobos a wild grin.

And thus, my plan for pissing Phobos off, worked, as he growled at me, then he said, "Grr. You're going to pay for your insolence, boy!"

Then, for some reason, I could feel my cocky, and insane personality pop up as I said, "Then let's dance, Phobos." And suddenly, I could feel information of a new attack that I could use flowed through my mind.

I smirked even wider, and Phobos angrily asked, "What's gotten you so happy!?"

I brought up my right fist, throwing it right into the sky and said, "Simple, I'm now REALLY ready to Rock 'N' Roll!" I then gripped my fist tightly, then with one single movement, I slammed my fist into the ground, and yelled out, "Have a taste of this! Gaia no āsudoragon!"

After I said that, the ground beneath my fist began to crack, then it started spreading towards Phobos, who looked down at his feet and asked, "What trickery is this?"

And then, I smirked and said, "The best kind of trickery. Now, ROAR!" Then I turned my grounded fist backwards, and in a faux uppercut, returning my fist skyward. "And fear the terrifying might, of the dragon!"

And that was the cue, Phobos looked up at me angrily, his sword drew back over his arm, and then, the ground began shaking. Phobos once more looked down at his feet, and watched as the ground collapsed from underneath himself, and a large, sandy brown, long, serpent like creature tried to eat Phobos.

But, Phobos simply raised his sword upwards and yelled out, "Raijingudākusan!" Then, with that bellowing call, the dark sword was encased in black flames, that, was brought upwards, and cut through the earth dragon.

Phobos turned towards me, anger in his eyes and he said, "You think you're funny, kid?"

I smirked once more and I closed my eyes and shook my head as I said, "Oh, I don't think I'm funny."

I then opened my eyes and looked towards Phobos as I said, "I'm fucking hilarious!" I heard the collective gasp from my friends, not used to hearing me swear, and I know I would be getting an earful from Yamato, from swearing in front of Takaishi-Kun, but that was then, and this is now.

Phobos then charged towards me, his sword raised up high, ready to strike me down, but, I quickly raised my shield, blocking his attack, but I still felt the heat coming off of his sword. Man, no matter how I thought of that, it still sounded wrong.

I shook my head, and glared at Phobos, who looked like he was trying to set me on fire by glaring at me. Then he said, "You think you can keep this up, punk? Sooner or later you will succumb to failure, and you shall die."

I sarcastically said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Blah, blah, blah. Kill me, kill me, kill me. Evil, evil, evil." I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes at this annoying little gnat, and I said, "Yeash, I wasn't expecting someone who was supposed to be the dark side of my Nii-San to be so annoying."

This only served to piss Phobos off even more, then he used his weight, to push himself off of my shield, launching himself backwards, then brought his sword over his neck, and he yelled out, "Dākufureimu!" And he unleashed another blast of dark flames at me.

But I quickly raised my shield to block the attack, I had to admit, however, that the flames actually made me sweat, but, I couldn't let that get to me. I then put all my might into pushing Phobos off of me, sending him backwards.

I then aimed the tip of my shield at Phobos and said, "I am still new to all of this, but I am remembering much about this particular shield, about my crest itself."

Phobos then charged at me once more, with his sword raised up, then he slammed it down on me, only for me to quickly raise up my shield and block the attack, then Phobos angrily asked, "Oh, and what is so special about your Crest and shield, Gaki?"

I smirked madly at this, and I said, "Simple, I created my Crest in my past life."

I heard everyone gasp as Izzy-San asked, "You, you created the Crest Of Protection?"

I slightly turned to nodded and said, "It was supposed to be used for a little fan story I was writing, but I never had the chance to write that story. Mostly because of, well, you know, I ended up losing my life and all. But, there is a secret function about this shield that only I know about."

Phobos was glaring at me, then he asked, "Oh, and what secret is that?"

I smirked wildly and said, "The tip of my shield, it is not for decoration. It's an arrow head."

Phobos then raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why would a shield need an arrow head?"

I smirked and said, "Simple, it is not just a shield." I then grabbed the middle oval like disk, and I turned it counter clockwise, and heard it click, and soon, my shield, had turned into, "It's also a crossbow." I smirked almost too evily, then I said, "Aporo no dibin'arō!"

Phobos' eyes widened as the shield transformed into a crossbow type weapon, then the arrow-head began glowing in a bright green glow, then I said in a perfect Terminator voice, "Hasta la vista, baby."

Then the arrow was fired at Phobos, and we all watched as it began glowing insanely bright as it reached Phobos, then we all watched as the arrow hit the target, and exploded in a massive wave of light.

When the light died down, we all saw that Ani had returned to normal, I smiled, then I turned upwards to see how DoruGreymon was doing, "Hey, Doru-San, how's things on your end?" I asked my partner in curiosity.

I looked up and saw Doru-San charging up a massive ball of iron, so big that its shadow covered the entire arena, and then he shouted, "Metal Meteor!" He then fired it at SkullGreymon, knocking him out, and reverting him back to Koromon.

I smiled happily at my partners victory, and said, "We did it! Way to go, Doru!"

DoruGreymon nodded, then he began glowing, anf soon, he started shrinking, soon he was five feet away from me, and was once again Dorimon-San. He then said, "Hey, why am I Dorimon again?"

I chuckled and said, "Most likely, you used to much of your power, Doru-San." I then heard groaning, I turned and saw Tai-Nii was getting up, I walked up to Ani and cautiously asked, "Tai-Nii? Ani, if that is you, answer me this, what was my nickname for you when we were younger?"

At first Tai-Nii didn't answer me, then I aimed the arrow at him, thinking that Phobos was still in control, then he coughed out, "You, *cough cough* called me, Teriyaki. After saying that my personality was, *cough cough* spicy."

I smirked at this, then lowered my crossbow and I said, "Yep, you're Tai-Nii all right. Only the real Taichi would ever remember something like that."

I then fell off of the adrenaline rush that I was on, and my shield disappeared into thin air, then I felt completely exhausted. I then turned to Tai-Nii and said, "Ugh, next time, Nii-Baka, when I tell you to cool your jets, you cool it, got it?"

Tai-Nii weakly nodded, then he said, "I'm sorry, for everything. I saw everything that jerk did to you guys, and we were powerless to stop him."

I looked at him weirdly as he said that and asked, "We?" Who else was fighting Phobos on the inside of Nii-San's mind?

He weakly nodded and said, "Yes, Amaterasu, she, *cough* she is the spirit of my Crest Of Courage. The REAL spirit, not that Phobos fake."

My eyes widened and I asked, "So, you have a spirit as well?"

Tai-Nii looked at me in surprise and he asked, "You too?"

I nodded and said, "Yes, his name is Apollo."

Tai-Nii then widened his eyes as he quickly got up, but fell to his knees, I walked up to him and said, "Easy, Ani, I kind of did a number on you."

Then Tai-Nii tried to get up once more and he said, "But I have to get Agumon-San."

"Tai-San?" A soft voice called out. We both turned to the source of the voice and saw Olette-Hime holding Koromon-San.

Seeing his partner like that, Ani shot straight up and ran towards Koromon-San. "Koromon-San! Are you okay?"

Koromon-San looked towards Tai-Nii and he fearfully said, "Tai-San, am I a monster?"

Tai-Nii and all of us gasped at what Koromon-San had just said, Then I asked, "What do you mean, Koromon-San?"

Koromon-San looked at me and said, "I've done some terrible, horrible things. I savagely attacked four of my fellow Digimon companions."

Then Biyomon-San shook her head, and she said, "It wasn't your fault, though."

Tai-Nii nodded sadly and he said, "She's right, it's mine." We all looked at Tai-Nii in shock as he said, "If I had just listened to Otouto, then I wouldn't have transformed you into SkullGreymon, and Phobos wouldn't have taken over me. I don't deserve to have this Crest."

I looked at Tai-Nii in surprise and I asked, "Ani, are you okay?"

Tai-Nii then silently walked up to me and shoved something into my hands, I looked down and saw that it was the Crest Of Courage. I looked up to Tai-Nii in shock and asked, "Ani! What are you doing?"

Tai-Nii looked me dead in the eyes and in a serious voice, he said, "You were right, Luke-Otouto. You were right all along. I shouldn't have pushed Koromon so much, I should have trusted him a whole lot more, and moreso, I shouldn't have yelled at you or Olette-San. I know that you were both trying to do the right thing. And I only acted brash, and caused more harm than good. Can you guys please forgive a foolish leader?"

Tai-Nii then bowed his head in shame, and that was a major shocker. Tai-Nii would never bow his head to anybody, not even to Kāsan when he breaks something. He always placed his hands behind his back when he does something wrong and he gets yelled at.

Then Olette-Hime placed a hand on Tai-Nii's left shoulder, then she said, "You are Luke-Kun's Nii-San, and because we are now dating, that makes you MY Nii-San as well, and if there is one thing that Luke-Kun has told me countless times, its that you don't turn your back on your family, no matter what. I forgive you, Nii-San."

I could swear that I saw a single tear drop in Tai-Nii's eyes, then I walked up to Tai-Nii and placed my hand on his right shoulder, then I said, "She's right, Ani, we're family. And as family, we stick together like glue. It is going to take a lot more than this to break up that family bound. Remember that."

Tai-Nii wiped several tears from his eyes as he said, "Lukas-Otouto, Olette-San, thank you, for everything. And once again, I'm sorry. I thought that, because I had the Crest Of Courage, I had to be in charge and fight on my own without any help from you guys."

I looked down at the Crest Of Courage sadly and said, "And that is why you were unable to control your Crest Ani. Because you decided to fight on your own, whereas I, on the other hand, chose to believe in both, my partner, and my team, knowing that, together we could stop both of you."

Tai-Nii then turned to the rest of us and said, "I'm sorry, everybody, please forgive me." We all nodded, agreeing that Tai-Nii should not be executed for one measly mistake, no matter how dangerous it ended up being.

I turned to everyone and seeing how shaken up they were, I knew they had learned a very important lesson today, but, I wanted to say something. "Guys."

Everyone looked at me, then I said, "I know that a lot happened today, but, I want you to take what happened here as a lesson, never, and I do mean NEVER forget what your Crests represent, and never stray from that. But, out of everything, remember this: Those who abandon the mission are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse then scum.'"

Matt-San looked towards me and asked, "Is that something from your past life, Luke-San?"

I looked to the sky and said, "Yeah, something like that."

And so, Agumon-San was finally able to Digivolve, but it was a huge mistake, and it lead to Nii-San to be taken control by a dark aspect of his Crest Of Courage, but, thanks to the spirit inside my Crest, I was able to allow Dorugamon-San to Digivolve into DoruGreymon-San, and I had also picked up a few new tricks along the way.

But, can I master these powers, or were they a one off deal? Only time will tell as the Journey Continues...Oh, wait, wrong series! See you all next time on Digimon New Life!

Thechaosmaster: And there we have it. what an incredible ending, now than, the spirits are not going to become main cast, they will only show up for season one, and only during the Ultimate Digivolutions. Last chapter I asked what element Tai should be, and in this answer, you guys have seen, he has been chosen for fire. Now than, I just want to say that, I must have attracted the entire Taiora commitee with this story, mostly because I can tell that you guys wanted Tai to be fire, just to bring him closer to Sora, and I have to say, I am excited that you guys want to see more of this story. Once this new AN gets put up, I will get started on the next chapter, it will most likely take a day or two to write, but, I am glad that you guys enjoyed this chapter. Now than, I want to make something clear, Amaterasu, yes, the sun goddes, and yes, the attack was the same one from Naruto, and same with Susanoo.
