Thechaosmaster: Hey, everyone, I am finally back with another chapter!

Kurivolt: And I am finally able to be here for the first upload!

Chaos: Very funny, Kurivolt. Anyways, I am very sorry about keeping you guys waiting, I blame my ADHD for causing me to ignore this story for a while. I got distracted playing Black Ops 4 Zombies trying to get gum camos. I got the Strife to Gold, but that's it. I hate the Welling Camo, if anyone has any tips for me, leave them in the comments. Now then, I want to state something, after I complete season one of this story and write the movie and possibly a bonus chapter where the DigiDestined give up their Crests, I might, no, I WILL write The Hero And The Dragon, so, be patient. Anyways. Enough 'bout me, ENJOY THE STORY!

Kuriuvolt: Thechaosmaster Does not own Digimon, nor it's character, he only owns Luke and Olette, everyone else belongs to their respected owners.

Thechaosmaster: Hello everyone, Chaos here back for another update for Digimon New Life.

Blossom: About time, too.

Chaos: Not now, Blossom. Anyways, I am sorry for my absence as of late. I'd tell ya, Risk Of Rain 2 is by far, the most addictive game I have ever played. I play it on the console and, man, do I have fun playing it.

Blossom: How about you focus on a single story at a time?

Chaos: Well, give me a break.

Blossom: Only when you focus on a single story.

Chaos: Well give me a break, Red! This next chapter isn't that easy, okay?

Blossom: Sure.

Chaos: Grr. WHATEVER! I don't own Digimon or its characters! I only own Lukas and Olette, as well as the idea for the crest spirits. Everything else belongs to their rightful owners. Kuso!

Chapter 17: The Scheme of Datamon

"The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words." Philip K. Dick.

Continuing on with our journey through Server, we had an unwanted reunion with Kuwagamon-Teme, our very first opponent when we first arrived here in the Digital World, and while me, Dorugamon-San, and Rouge seemed to have him on the ropes, we were eventually overpowered, but we were saved by a legend in the Digital World, Piximon-San. Afterwards, he brought us to his place and had me, Olette-Chan, Tai-Nii, and our Digimon had to go through a cave to find ourselves while Izzy-San and the others go through mediocre chores that turned out to be a self-disciplinary lesson. And after meeting my younger self and helping him learn how to climb a tree, as well as jokingly asking him to sign his name in a blank notebook, I learned how to use my new powers, well, my shield and crossbow abilities, that is. As for my Earth bending? Well, that is another story. But I did learn my Crest Spirits real name. Now, with Susanoo-San on my side, I think I can learn how to fully master my powers.

It has been while since our departure from Piximon-San's home, how long was it? I don't know, but if I had to guess, I'd would say that is has only been an hour or so. But, besides all of the emptiness of desert, we did come across something interesting. "Hey guys, check it out." I said, pointing to a black cable lying on the desert sands. "It's more of those Dark Network cables from our 'friend' Etemon-Baka."

Izzy-San gasped in amazement then he pointed upwards and he said, "Hey, look up there!" We all looked to where Izzy-San was pointing towards and saw some kind of computer terminal, Izzy-San quickly ran up to it and said, "Prodigious!"

We soon followed him upwards and found that he was already trying to hack into whatever it is that he came across. "What is it, Izzy-San? Some kind of power generator?" Tai-Nii asked the brains of our group.

Izzy-San's smiled while still hacking into the systems and said, "Even better, Etemon-San has hardwired the entire desert, creating an extensive computer network. My guess, this is one of his remote data access Terminals."

Tai-Nii smiled as he said, "Great, let's crash it!" He then punched his left hand with excitement.

I chuckled while shaking my head and said, "And that, Ani, is why Izzy-San holds the Crest Of Knowledge, and you hold Courage."

Tai-Nii looked up at me in shock and what appeared to be insult as he asked, "Hey, are calling me dumb, Luke-Kun!?"

I shook my head but smiled lightly and said, "No, I'm just saying that, while shutting down Etemon-Baka's Dark Network is important, I think that it would be best if we try out something a little bit more, subtle, Taichi-Nii."

Tai-Nii was going to ask more, when Sora-San said in a soft and worried voice, "It could be a booby trap."

Then Olette-Hime looked up from where she was sitting while petting Rouge and said, "Sora-Chan, practically everything here is a potential trap."

Then Matt-San nodded in agreement as he said, "If it is that Baka's, I say we cross the wires and mess it up good!"

I nodded with a fox like smirk and said, "Or, as we say in English… Sabotage." This was something I had agreed with whole-heartedly, the best way to give that Baka a kick in the tail, and make him angry, was to screw around with his tech.

I heard Tentomon-San curiously ask, "What are you going to do with that?"

I turned and saw Izzy-San place a red USB cable into his computer as he says, "I wonder, it's entirely possible that our computers have compatible systems. And if they do, I can tap into Etemon-Baka's Network."

I chuckled at this and said, "If you do, spam his inbox with junk mail filled with the message, 'Etemon Stinks'. That would definitely get his stiches in a twist." Dorumon-San said with a chuckle and this caused Rouge to laugh loudly.

Then Rouge, with a sadistic smile on her face, said, "If you really want to mess with this guy, I'm sure I could get in contact with my brother, Barbamon, and have him send out a fake invite to Etemon, sending him to Belphemon's lair. If there is one thing that Belphemon hates more than anything, it's to be disturbed from his slumber." Rouge then stare laughing like mad.

We all had to take a few steps back in fear from Rouge's mad laughter, then with a small chuckle, I said, "Rouge, as much as I hate the guy, not even I would send him to be deleted by Belphemon..." I them smirked wickedly and said, "I would send him to Daemon instead."

Rouge stopped laughing and looked at me in shock. Then she smirked evilly and said, "Kid, if being a DigiDestined doesn't work out, I could get you to become a member of the Demon Lords, you could end up replacing Daemon as the most wicked minds of all of us."

I felt a chill run down my spines, and I nervously said, "Don't get me wrong, Rouge, I like you, and Lucemon is a decent mon to hang out with, but I'm not certain if I would fit in with the Demon Lords. And I get the feeling that if I did accept, Beelzemon would probably reduce me to something less than data before the days over."

Rouge shrugged nonchalantly and said, "Hey, it's your call. But seriously, anyone who is insane enough to send their enemies to Daemon of all Digimons, deserves to become a part of the Demon Lords."

Sora-San looked over at the two of us and said, "I still can't believe that she is a member of one of the most dangerous groups of Digimon to date! How exactly did you even accept her, Luke-San? You hate Devimon-Teme and Etemon-Baka with a passion, yet, you seem almost chill around Rouge? What's the deal?"

I smiled at her and shrugged my shoulders as I said, "Hey, what can I say, she hasn't given me a reason not to trust her yet. Plus, I have met Lucemon-San in person, as I told you guys earlier, he was the one who gave me this bandana." I pointed towards the bandana that rested on my head, and I said, "And believe me, I wasn't as trusting of Lucemon as I was of Rouge, in fact, it wasn't until we got separated by Devi-Teme, did I learn the truth, and I can trust her, because I can see that she really wants to make amends for her past, besides, how could I hate her for lying about her past, when, by doing so, I would be considered a hypocrite, because I was doing the same thing."

I was going to say more, but I heard TK-Kun cheerfully say, "Hey, Izzy-San, you have mail!"

I turned to Izzy-San and ran over to him as he asked, "That was quick, who even knows I've logged on?"

That was when Joe-San grabbed his head in panic as he cried out, "Oh no, it's Etemon!"

Almost like a reflex, I extended my arm and my shield appeared and the arrowhead was pointing right at Joe's nose, who froze in fear, then I said, "Joe-San, I swear, if you don't start making positive thoughts come from those lips of yours, I will allow Rouge to silence you. There is only so much of your negativity that I can take."

Joe-San didn't say anything, but a gentle hand grabbed my shield and lowered my arm, I looked over and saw Olette-Chan giving me a disapproving look, while shaking her head. She didn't say anything, but she didn't have to. It was the look on her face that spoke instead.

I sighed in defeat then dismissed my shield, then I rubbed my head in embarrassment and said, "Sorry, about that, Joe-San. But your constant complaining was starting to get to me. I'm not one for violence, despite how I may act, but as calm and patient as I may be, even I have my limits. So, please for the sake of my sanity and your own life, if you have any negative thoughts in that head of yours, keep it to yourself. Understand?"

Joe-San could only nod fearfully in understanding. Then I turned to the others and saw that they were on edge, possibly because they thought that I was going to attack them, I chuckled at them and said, "Chill out, guys, I'm not going to hurt anyone. Well, none of you guys, that is. But Etemon-Baka and his cronies? Well, let's just say, I would like to try out more of my powers on them."

Tai-Nii chuckled as he shook his head at me and said, "You are one crazy guy, Otouto."

I chuckled as well and sarcastically asked, "You are just NOW noticing this, Tai-Nii?"

Tai-Nii simply shrugged and then he turned to Izzy-San and asked, "Anyways, Izzy-San, why don't you open that message, it's probably just spam anyways."

Izzy-San nodded, then he said, "Right."

He then clicked on the mail icon and soon the computer sent out a voice message saying, "Help me! S-O-S! Mayday! I am being held prisoner! Help me escape and I'll guide you to the Crests you seek!"

We all gasped in shock, then Sora-San asked, "Do you think he is for real? I mean, who could it be?"

Olette-Chan turned to me and asked, "Luke-Koi, I know you don't like telling the others the future, but you wouldn't happen to know who this person is, would you?"

Everyone looked at me as I placed my right hand on my chin and my left hand on my right elbow and closed my eyes and tried to remember this one. Then I shook my head and said, "It's all a blur, I get the facts mixed up. And trust me, I'm not lying, and you need to remember, I have memories of two different lives to sort out, and I sometimes get the seasons mixed up. But, no, I don't really remember who this guy is. I feel like I should remember this, but I don't. But I think that, while we should help free this prisoner, we should at least stay on guard. We could end up in another trap if we don't."

Tai-Nii nodded in agreement and said, "Sounds logical, all right guys, you heard the man, let's head out! Izzy-San, you got the location?"

Izzy simply turned back to his laptop and began rapidly typing as he said, "Give me one second." Izzy-San then started typing rapidly on his computer, then he said, "Got it."

I smiled then I said, "Well, looks like we're in business! Let's move out, team!" Everyone nodded, then Izzy-San disconnected from the system and he moved ahead of us all, and we soon followed after him. Me and Olette-Chan we walking side by side to each other, fingers intertwined, now, I saw walking, but, in reality, I was walking, and Olette-Chan was floating, be it, only because she is more used to floating, than walking.

It wasn't long until we arrived at a canyon and Joe-San decided to be his usual complaining self as he, "I don't like this one little bit. I don't like the look of it, I don't like smell of it...I don't like the..."

Rouge groaned at him and asked, "Is there anything you do like, Kyaputen fuhei? Because remember what Luke said, all I need is the word, and you shall speak no more."

Joe-San gulped in fear, as he took a few steps back, until Mimi-San slapped him in the back then she said, "Don't have a brain cramp, Joe-San, you're turning green around the edges."

"Yeah, somebody asked for our help, we gotta at least check it out. Right?" Ani said with a big grin on his face.

I nodded and said, "You bet, Tai-Nii. Hey, Izzy-San, how close are we?"

Izzy-San typed rapidly on his computer and said, "Well, according to my laptop, we should be getting close."

I turned back to Takeru-Kun and Sora-San, who both had their tags out, waiting for a response and asked, "You two got anything yet?"

Sora-San shook her head and said, "No, not yet, Luke-San. But I am almost certain that it's here, I can feel it."

I nodded, knowing that I had the same feeling before I found my Crest, then I turned towards the youngest of us and asked the same question, "How about you, TK-Kun, anything?"

Before he could answer, his Tag started glowing, then he chuckled excitedly and said, "Yeah! Look it!"

"It's glowing!" Said the bearer of the Crest Of Friendship, Matt-San.

Then Tokomon-San cried out in joy, then he ran in a direction, then he said, "Takeru-San, come over here, look what I found!" We all turned and saw a symbol etched into a stone wall.

"Look! Another Crest!" Called out Sora-San in surprise.

At first TK-Kun didn't move, probably because he was in awe of the design on his Crest, then I smiled and walked up to Takeru-Kun and gently placed my hand on his shoulder and then I softly said, "Well, Takeru-Kun? Lead the way."

TK-Kun smiled happily and he said, "K! Haha!" Then we all ran up to the stone wall with the symbol of a rising sun and beams of light coming down from it. While Takeru-Kun was running, he had hit Tag raised up, and watched as it glowed brighter and brighter the closer he got to the rock.

The rock then began glowing brightly and Tai-Nii thought that it would fall on him, called out, "Watch it!"

But I just smiled and watched as TK-Kun got his Crest Of Hope, then we all watched as TK-Kun's Crest was inserted into his Tag, then he looked at and said, "Awesome! My own Crest! Hey, Luke-San, what's mine?"

I smiled brightly and said, "Well, Takeru-Kun, your Crest is very special, it is called the Crest Of Hope."

Takeru-Kun looked down at his Crest in wonder and he asked, "The Crest Of Hope? Huh?" We all watched as a small gust of wind circled around Takeru-Kun before dispersing quickly, then he shook his head and in a strangely calm voice, he said, "The Crest Of Hope. The Crest Of Wind. The Crest of The Angle. Cool!"

"Congratulations!" Tokomon-San said with a bright smile.

Matt-San lightly smiled and said, "Now Takeru-San, don't think this means that you get to stay up any later."

I smiled, then I turned to Sora-San, the last one who didn't have her Crest yet, and said, "Well, I guess you're next, Sora-San."

Izzy-San nodded and said, "He's right. Sora-San's Crest is the only one left to find now. If we rescue this guy, maybe he can lead us to it."

Tai-Nii then smiled at us and asked, "Well, what are we waiting for? To the rescue!"

Then Mimi-San looked behind Tai-Nii and she pointed behind him and asked, "Oh! What's that?!"

We looked to where Mimi-San was pointing to and saw cave etched with Digicode. We walked inside of the cave, and Izzy-San said, "See these Hieroglyphs? Look familiar? This is the same writing we've come across before."

I smiled at Izzy-San remembering that and said, "They're called Digicode, Izzy-San. The very language of the Digital World. Not many can read them, And while me and Olette-Chan can understand them, somehow, I don't think that we can make sense of these." I then pointed towards a few and said, "Some I can read, like this on says 'Truth' but the one next to it is a complete mess of letters. It kind of reminds me of a madman's notes."

Izzy-San nodded, then he saw something that caught his eye and said, "Wait a minute, this is a new one." Then Izzy-San started rubbing the symbol away.

I remembered the last time he did that and asked, "Uh, Izzy-San, you do remember the last time you did that?" But, surprisingly, when that strange symbol was erased, the whole hallway lit up.

Then Izzy-San had his eureka moment as he said, "Prodigious! This is amazing! Do you know what I'm thinking?"

"I've got a feeling you're going to tell us." Mimi-San stated already rubbing her head in confusion.

I chuckled and said, "Izzy-San, I can read these things, not your mind, so, care to elaborate?"

Izzy-San nodded and asked, "Sure, I can give you my hypothesis, but can you tell me if I'm close to my guess, Luke-San?"

I nodded at this and said, "Give me you theory, and I shall tell you what I think. And then elaborate on anything that needs further explanation."

"Well you see, it's quite possible they are not a form of writing at all, despite what you have stated, Luke-San. But rather a code, a computer code." Izzy-San stated and looked to me to clarification.

I nodded in agreement, letting Izzy-San know he was on the right track, and said, "Correct so far, Izzy-San. Anything else?"

Izzy-San nodded and said, "Yeah. Just like a computer program, if you change one piece of the code, then you change the program." Then Izzy-San took out his marker and wrote a new symbol on the wall and then before us all, a holographic screen appeared, and Izzy-San said, "Like that, for example."

"Wait, so, we really are in some kind of computer game, Izzy-San? I thought that Luke-San was messing with us when he said that. So does that mean that none of this is really real?" Joe-San asked while rubbing his head.

I laughed loudly at that and turned towards the holder of the Crest Of Reliability and said, "Joe-San, I told you all this back on File Island, and you thought I was joking? Hah!" Then I got into my more serious tone and said, "Anyways, no, it's not a video game, this is real life, we are not in a simulation. If you get hurt, the pain you feel is real. Every cut, bruise, all of it, is real." Then I narrowed my eyes in seriousness and said, "And if you die, well... No do overs no respawn. Game Over. Zero lives remaining. You die here, you die for real. This is real, very real."

While everyone was shaken by this I said, "I am not saying all of this to scare you guys. Just trying to point out the facts. Never, and I do mean never, do anything recklessly. Try your hardest to be safe. Because this, is as real as it gets."

Izzy-San nodded and said, "Oh, it's real, all right." Sora-San, Matt-San and Joe-San all looked towards Izzy-San as he said, "You know, I'm thinking everything we see and everyone we meet in this place are actually pieces of data or programming, given physical form. Am I correct, Luke-San?"

I smiled and said, "You better believe it, Izzy-San. Everything we see before us, even ourselves, are all made of data. I'm pretty sure I have stated this before, but just encase you guys need a reminder, when we obtained our Digivices, when they fell from the sky back at camp, that wave that came out of nowhere and dragged us here, transported us from our human Earth, into this Digital World."

Then Matt-San then asked the one question that I'm surprised no one has asked yet. "Now, wait a minute, how can a wave bring us from our world and into this world?"

I folded up my arms and said, "By the use of a Digital Gateway. One that is located at the campsite."

Then Matt-San raised an eyebrow and asked, "How, though, by squeezing through a floppy drive?"

Before I could answer, Izzy-San stated, "No, we're just kilobytes of data too. I mean, the versions of us that are here. Am I correct, Luke-San?"

I shook my head in disagreement and sighed sadly and said, "No, Izzy-San, that is where you are wrong. This is not the work of simply uploading our minds into Digital Avatars while our bodies are somewhere safe, we are here. But our flesh and blood has been converted into data. And as I stated, if something were to happen to us, then, that is it, game over, no waking up on Earth, no second life, no retry. So, it is best if all of you take this very seriously, or else, you could seriously get hurt, or worse."

At first, no one said anything, probably digesting the reality of this situation, then Tai-Nii asked, "If I'm just data, why do I still feel like I'm flesh and blood?"

"And I still have to go to the little girls room." Mimi-San stated.

This is where I answered with, "Because, deep down, you are still flesh and blood, Tai-Nii. This world simply converts your body into data, it changes your DNA into zeroes and ones, that is true, but no matter what, deep down, you are still flesh and blood, and nothing will change that fact. Nothing. And because of that fact, you still have the human urges like hunger and thirst. All of that means is that, while we are just bits of data, the fact remains that we are ourselves, who we are, is right here." I pointed to my heart and said, "No matter what, no matter how much we change on the outside, we will always be the same person on inside."

Everyone looked shocked at this, then I said, "So, that is the truth, and Izzy-San, don't get any random ideas about our real bodies being at the campsite, because that idea, is false."

Izzy-San nodded and could almost see a mental version of himself crossing off that idea from a huge list of theories, and said, "Noted. I can cross that idea off my theories list. Thanks for clearing that up, Luke-San. Who knows what I could have come up with if you didn't clear that up?"

I smiled softly and said, "No problem, Izzy-San. And hey, after this, you know, once we actually get home, I could try to teach you how to read the Digicode. While It won't be easy, I have a feeling that you will be able to learn it pretty quickly."

Izzy-San absentmindedly nodded, then I saw a lightbulb go off over his head as he said, "Hey, wait a second, I've got an idea!"

Olette-Chan looked over to Izzy-San with a curious expression and asked, "What is it, Izzy-San?"

"Yeah, Brainiac, what did you just come up with? Something good I hope." Rouge asked while leaning against a wall with a board expression on her face.

Izzy-San then started typing rapidly as he said, "Let me see, if I can just crack this program..." As he was typing, he started looking around at the walls, or more specifically, at the Digicode on the walls.

Then Mimi-San said, "Uh oh. He's in his computer Dork Mode, this could take a while."

I chuckled and asked, "Mimi-San, do I need to remind you that you have a bad habit of bringing up the mall almost every single day?" Mimi-San blushed in embarrassment then I lightly smirked and said, "See, we all have our own flaws and quirks. And it just so happens that Izzy's quirks is that he has to analyze everything. Let him have his moment."

And at that, the holographic image transformed into the Earth, or, what looked like Earth. I whistled in amazement while the others gasped, then Olette-Chan turned towards me and asked, "Is that Earth, Luke-Kun? As in, your world?"

I shook my head and said, "No, that's the Digiworld. Right Izzy-San?

Izzy-San looked at us and nodded, then he said, "I have called up a holographic map of the Digiworld. And you can see, the similarities it has to the planet Earth. In fact, there are a lot of parallels with our world."

Matt-San then sarcastically said, "That's terrific, Izzy-San. Great time for a geography lesson."

Dorumon-San shook his head then said, "I don't know, Yamato-San. I happen to find it quite interesting. Seeing the home that Lukas-San has talked a lot about."

Rouge nodded then she said, "Yeah, Gem Face is right, plus, that technically is the original world, so, seeing the place that created my world, it kind of makes me feel, nostalgic."

Izzy-San typed on his computer and said, "Pay attention and you might learn something."

Matt-San turned to Izzy-San in wonder and asked, "Yeah?"

Izzy-San nodded and said, "If I enter the E-Mail Address of the person who contacted us, I could find his location in the DigiWorld here." Then we saw a red blinking dot appear on Izzy-San's map.

Olette-Chan looked over to Izzy-San and asked, "Izzy, is that where the person is?"

Instead of answering her completely, Izzy-San said, "Now, look at the E-mail address." We looked at the address and saw that it had said, ' #4dfja9z$.com.' Then Izzy-San said, "That E-Mail address is from a web domain in our world, I've logged onto it a thousand times."

Then Tai-Nii looked like he was getting lost in all this techno talk and asked, "Is there a point to all of this somewhere, Izzy-San?"

Then Sora-San decided to ask, "Is the person who sent the message in our world or the Digiworld?"

Then Izzy-San didn't turn to her, but he said, "That's just it, he's in both!" Izzy-San then had another holographic image appear, this time you could clearly tell that it is the Earth.

"Yep, that's home." I felt a tear fall down my cheek, I rubbed my eye and said, "Seeing home makes me miss it. But now is not the time for tears. Izzy-San, what have you got?"

Izzy-San then began to type again, then strange lines appeared on both worlds, then he said, "Look, the Digiworld's on the left, the world we know is on the right, and if I overlay them like so..." Then the two worlds were right on top of one another.

Then we all watched as the worlds overlapped with each other perfectly, then Sora-San said, "The white lines match up perfectly! What does it mean?"

Then Mimi-San tearfully said, "It reminds me of the balls of yarn my kitty used to play with!"

Rouge, hearing this, rolled her eyes and said, "Humans, I don't understand them."

"That's the world's Digital Network. Through those lines, every computer on Earth is connected to every other computer. The Digital World is a physical Embodiment of the data passing through them. Right, Lukas-San?" Koshiro-San asked me.

I nodded and said, "On the money, Izzy-San. What you guys are seeing, is something that no one else has ever seen, that nobody even knows exists."

Izzy-San nodded and stated, "The Digital Shadow World that exists alongside our own. They're not just parallels, but are physically linked, so, everything we do here will have effects on the other. Am I right Luke-San?"

I looked deeper into the cave, then I said, "You are correct, but not completely. You see, picture our world and the Digital World as two sides of the same coin. While they are part of the same world, the effect that each world has on the other is not as simple as placing a mountain in one location here in the Digital World, and that would create a mountain in the real world. Both worlds require the other in order to exist. Think of it as a symbiotic relationship. The Digital World exists because of the technology created by humans. But even though they are connected, they have become distant."

Matt-San looked at me with a curious look and asked, "What do you mean by distant? Distant how, exactly?"

I looked over to one of the many symbols on the wall, then I closed my eyes and felt my connection with Susanoo-San become achieved, then we spoke, both me and Susanoo-San, "There was once a time, back when the Digital World and the Human World were in synch, time wise, that was after the Great War, after Ogudomon, after the birth of the Hazard. Peace had been sustained in the Digiworld, but then, an evil Digimon arose and threatened the Digital World, but, thanks to Ten Powerful and Legendary Warriors, the evil was defeated, but, not by deletion, but by sealing it up behind a firewall, deep in the Digital World."

Sora-San looked at me and asked, "Does this Digimon have a name?"

I nodded and said, "He does, but that can wait a bit, right now, we need to focus on the more important things. Izzy-San, do you have anything else for us?"

Izzy-San nodded and said, "Yeah, and here's the coolest part. Wherever this person is in the Digiworld, I think I can take us there just by entering his E-Mail address and clicking on it, like accessing a web page."

"Hey, all this techno-talk and Digiworld history mumbo jumbo is making my head spinny!" Takeru-Kun stated in confusion.

Then Matt-San knelt down to his little brother and said, "Computer guys can never just do something, Takeru-Kun. That would be too easy. And the things that Luke-San says, makes no sense, no matter what he says."

I gave Matt-San a false hurt look and placed my hand over my chest and sarcastically said, "Oh, Yamato, you wound me with your insults." I chuckled as I said, "I can try to explain this as simple as I can, and it still sounds like I'm trying to explain quantum physics while speaking Latin, backwards. This, right here, is why I just stick with my old motto, 'Just accept it and move on.' Because no matter what, strange crud is going to happen."

I lightly chuckled before pointing to myself and said, "I mean, just look at me, before all of this, I was just your average kid, then a car hits me and I end up in another world that is actually a kid's cartoon show, and my girlfriend is basically a spirit that lives in my mind. None of this makes sense. No point of trying to over complicate the simple things. Or Simplify the complicated things. You will only drive yourself to madness. And Crazy Town is a place I live in."

Olette-Chan brought her fist to her mouth as she giggled and said, "Well, Koi, no one can be as unhinged as you, plus, I still love you for all of your flaws." She then kissed my cheek and said, "Just don't try to everything on you own, and you'll be fine."

I lightly blushed and said, "Hey, I'm not that dumb. Besides, I leave all of the dumb stuff for Tai-Nii-Baka to do."

"HEY!" Exclaimed said Nii-San while glaring at me.

Matt-San chuckled at us and said, "Anyways, the smart guys can never just do stuff, Takeru-Kun. They've gotta spend all day telling you how they'll do it."

Then Joe-San said in a somber tone, "This is depressing, even when I'm computer data I have allergies."

Me, Olette-Chan and Dorumon-San had to work together to hold back Rouge as she tried to claw Joe-San's face off, then she said, "Let me go! I'm not going to hurt him! I just want to give him a haircut!"

I struggled trying to hold her back as I said, "Rouge, please be calm about this!"

"Oh, I am calm, let me go and I'll show you just how calm I can be!" Rouge stated in a fake calm tone that was obviously false.

Dorumon-San then painfully said, "Rouge, we can tell you're lying about that, it's quite obvious. And Luke-San has been lying all his life, if there is someone who can detect lies, it's him!"

I nodded then I said, "True. Now then, either calm down, or I am going to try using my Earth Powers to encase you, and I haven't had long enough to practice them, and I could accidentally delete you, so please calm down."

Rouge had a quick look of fear spread across her face at the thought of being deleted, then she took a deep breath then she said, "Whatever, just keep Mr. Negative away from me, or he won't stay in one piece for long."

Then Gomamon-San placed his flipper on Joe-San and said, "Look on the bright side, Joe-San. If you weren't here, you never would have met me."

Then Biyomon-San turned towards her partner and asked, "Sora-San, does this mean we don't exist? That we're really not friends?"

Sora-San knelt down and put her hand on Biyomon-San's wing and said, "Of course not. You heard what Luke-San said. We may be made of data, but we are real, and that makes you guys real. So, in that sense, we really are friends, Biyomon-San. Truthfully, I don't get it, but if Lukas-San says it's true, then it must be, and it sounds right to me."

Tai-Nii simply shrugged and said, "Oh, well. Wherever we are, we're here, so let's figure out what we're going to do next. Come on, Brainiac, what are you waiting for?"

We all turned to Izzy-San, who was still typing on his computer, then he said, "Okay, okay. All I have to do is click on the guy's E-Mail address, and then bingo."

And at those words, the hologram suddenly started changing, and while that was happening, Mimi-San said, "I hate Bingo, it's so confusing, with all those letters and number... Hey look, a door!"

We looked and we saw a new exit way in the cave, then Olette-Chan turned to me and asked, "Was that door there before, Luke-Kun? Because I'm pretty certain that that direction was completely dark just a moment ago."

I shrugged and said, "To tell you the truth, I have no idea as to what logic this world follows, if I did, I would tell you."

Then Tai-Nii was at my side and he said, "Last one through's a rotten egg!"

And while none of us started moving, Izzy-San instead said, "Our electronic pen pal is right out there."

"Or it could be a trap." Stated Sora-San, being the cautious one here.

I nodded and said, "When has anything NOT been a trap?" I raised my fingers as I listed the many times we fell for a trap. "First there was Devimon-Teme's Hotel, then there was Etemon's Roman Coliseum, and then Kokatorimon-Baka's Cruiser. Am I forgetting any? No, I'm not. Besides, if this is a trap, we will deal with it the same way we did all the others."

Olette-Chan then gently squeezed my hand and she asked, "Together?"

I nodded and stated, "Together."

Tai-Nii nodded and walked up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder and said, "Right you are, lil' bro, right you are."

I looked around, then I asked, "Well, shall we get moving?"

Everyone nodded, then I tightened my Pride Bandana and then we all started walking into the light, and we soon found ourselves at, what a surprise, ANOTHER KAMI FORSAKEN DESERT! Ehem, anyways, Matt-San and Tai-Nii looked around, then Tai-Nii said, "Whoa, check this out!"

We all looked to where Tai-Nii was looking at, and saw a pyramid, but this one was different, this one was upside down, with the tip of the pyramid sticking in the ground and the base was up in the air.

But that wasn't all, Tai-Nii took out his telescope and peered through it, then he said, "Head's up! Etemon-Baka at 9 O'Clock!"

We watched as Etemon-Baka angrily marched into the pyramid, then Joe-San fearfully said, "Uh, I think I left the water on back at the sphinx."

Rouge then turned to glare at the coward, and she said, "Joe, there isn't even a sink in the sphinx."

I chuckled then I said, "Guys, guys. Chill. Look, right now we should set up camp and wait until night has passed, then, come morning, we can investigate the pyramid. How does that sound?"

Everyone nodded and Matt-San said, "Agreed. Who wants to take first watch?"

It was hours later, and Sora-San was in the process of relieving Tai-Nii of watch guard duty, while me, Olette-Chan, Dorumon-San, and Rouge were away from the others so I can practice my new powers.

I heard Olette-Chan ask, "Luke-Kun, are you sure you want to be doing this at night? It is dark out, and you could get hurt."

I looked to my girlfriend and gently smiled, then I said, "Relax, sugarplum, I'll be fine. Now then, let's do this." I closed my eyes and took three deep breaths, then I opened them and stared at the ground in front of me. I rose my right hand and tried to feel the power of the earth that I had felt back during my fight against Phobos. At first I got nothing, and that was fine. I simply said, "You can never get it the first time. But with practice, it can become instinct."

Then I heard a voice say, "Right you are, Luke-San. Right you are." This was Susanoo, he is the one who is helping me with my powers. "Now, then, you were on the right track with trying to remember the feelings you had during your battle against Phobos. But you need to learn how to feel the earth beneath you. It will take some time, but I'm sure you can do it. This time, however, don't raise your hand to the sky, instead, lay it down on the ground."

'What would that do, Susanoo?' I asked, then it hit me. 'Of course! By placing my hand on the ground, I could get a much better feel of the earth!'

Susanoo nodded and said, "You are right on the money, Luke. You catch on quick. Now then give it another shot."

I nodded, then I placed my hand on the ground and closed my eyes. I focused on feeling the ground beneath me. Tried to feel the sand, the dirt, all of the ground that was beneath me. Then I tried to control the earth. I gripped the ground tightly, and I thought of what I wanted the earth to do.

I opened my eyes and focused in front of me, then I watched as a few small rocks started to lift from the ground. I was starting to feel the strain of this power, and it cost me my focus. The pebbles started to fall, and I sat on my butt defeated, but the pebbles were still floating in my palm, and with a groan I said, "Ugh! That was pathetic!"

Rouge then remarked with, "What, the small pebbles that you lifted? Or the fact that you looked like an idiot while doing that?"

I glared at Rouge and said, "Rouge, I'm not in the mood for your sarcasm right now." And at that moment of loss concentration, and were quickly launched outwards in front of me, and impaled themselves into the rocky walls in front of us. We were all speechless as to what had just happened.

We then heard the sounds of footsteps approaching us, we turned and saw Agumon-San and Nii-San walking up to us. I waved nervously at him and said, "Ani? Agumon-San, what are you guys doing here?"

Tai-Nii lightly smiled at me but turned towards the now embedded pebbles in the wall, and he said, "Luke-Kun, it's getting late, you guys should head off to bed." He then chuckled as he asked, "Unless you have an unspoken vendetta against walls now?"

We all looked again at my unintended work, and said, "Give me a break! This is the first time I have had powers like this. I mean, Modify Cards that can transform into short swords, increase my strength, which I have yet to use, now that I think about it, and ones that, basically allow me to move so fast that I can see in slow motion. But making the very earth bend to my will? That's a new one on me, that's for sure!"

Tai-Nii then had a sudden look on his face and he said, "We still don't know the full extensions and limits of your powers, Luke-Chan. For all we know, there could be limits to your own powers that we haven't fully learned as of yet."

I nodded and said, "Well, as of now, I know that my Modify Cards can't be used on Doru-San if I use them on myself first, I also know that there seems to be, some sort of time limit on how long the cards can last, but how long I'm not entirely certain of. Another thing is that I need, or at least, needed a more solid concentration on the cards to keep them active, now they just respond to my will, almost."

I then summoned my Crossbow and said, "As for this? Well…" I aimed down at the rocks, but didn't fire it, as that could cause a whole lot of problems, and I said, "At the moment, my Aporo no kami no ya, can only fire off one arrow at a time, and it takes a lot out of me when I use it."

"Aporo no kami no ya? I thought your attack was Aporo no dibin'arō?" Ani asked me with a confused expression on his face.

I lightly chuckled and said, "I guess when I finally accepted myself for who I am. And that could have made my Aporo no Dibin'arō quote unquote "evolve" into a whole different name. Which is now, Aporo no kami no ya."

To which Rouge chuckled and she asked, "Apollo's God Arrow? What? Did you name that attack yourself or what? Are you trying to overinflate your ego, or something, Emo-Sama?"

Ani lightly chuckled while I could feel the urge to twitch my eyebrow get worse and worse as Rouge spoke, when I said, "Actually, Rouge, It's Apollo's Divine Arrow, not God Arrow." Then I had a sudden thought. I turned towards Ani and said, "Give me one moment. If I can't repeat that, I'll head off to bed. But, if I can, I want one more attempt at this. If I can repeat exactly what I did, while it may not be the best attack in my arsenal, it can provide to be, at least, a decent surprise attack."

Everyone nodded, then Nii-San said, "Fine, just as long as you get some rest after that. We're ALL going to need our rest for tomorrow. No exceptions."

Agumon-San nodded and said, "He's right, we have a big task instore for us tomorrow, remember?"

I sighed and nodded, then I said, "Right." I closed my eyes and picked up three loose pebbles, and juggled them in my hands, and focused on them. I could feel them beginning to slowly rise up, and I thought, 'Let's see here. I think that the reason why the pebbles were launched was because I lost concentration. But, what would happen if I put too MUCH focus on the pebbles?'

Going with that ideal, however stupid it may be, I laid my right hand out flat, so that the pebbles were resting flat in my hand. Then I began focusing on them. We all watched, after I reopened my eyes, that is, as they slowly began to lift up once more, then with a strong glare, I put all my focus onto the three pebbles, and we watched as they began shaking rapidly, while I also noticed a slight green glow surround the pebbles, and with a single thought, the three pebbles were launched forwards yet again, and impaling themselves into the wall.

Ani whistled in surprise and he asked, "Good job Otouto. Does that attack have a name? Or are you going to name it yourself?"

I lightly chuckled and said, "Well, if this is as strong as it could get, then no. But, if I could make even more pebbles, or even larger rocks to do the same thing, then yes." I put my hand to my chin as I said, "I think that if I can use larger rocks or possibly even boulders, I might as well call it Rokkubonbādomento."

I then stood up and said, "Well, come on, guys. Off to bed." Everyone nodded at then, then me and my Hime joined hands and started walking back to base came. After we laid down, I softly kissed Olette-Chan on the forehead and said, "Oyasumi, O-Hime, sweet dreams."

Olette-Chan blushed so brightly, that she almost lit up the cave with how bright she was, and said, "Oyasumi, Luke-Kun, sweet dreams as well." She then closed her eyes and begun her drift into dream land.

I smiled brightly at her, then I laid down and closed my eyes and joined her in dream land.

The following morning saw me, Sora-San, Olette-Hime and Izzy-San standing outside the cave, then Izzy-San reminded us of the plan, "Remember, there's one thing that's important to keep in mind. This is more than just a parallel universe, it's a shadow world, physically linked to our own."

I nodded and said, "Right, but, just because they are linked, it does not mean that if anything happens here, it will not have a direct effect on our world."

Then Sora-San nodded and asked, "And with the real versions of ourselves here, we can't just do things without thinking, correct?"

I nodded and said, "Hai. If we are to do this, we must take extreme caution while traversing through the pyramid. We don't know what could happen."

Olette-Chan looked determined as she nodded and said, "He's right, and for all we know, we could be walking into a trap. And we don't want that to happen."

Dorumon-San smirked almost viciously and said, "Well, if it is a trap, I'd say, we give these guys a reminder of who we are. Right Luke-San?"

I smiled as said, "Only if we can't sneak in. If we can lurk in the shadows, as in, remain hidden, we won't have to go out guns a blazing. But, if we have to, then," I summoned my shield and said, "We'll go wild."

Then Sora-San looked over each of us as she said, "So, whatever happens, we have to be just as careful as any other time."

I nodded and said, "Correct. And that means, keeping an eye on Tai-Nii. I can only guess what he might do."

Before anyone could respond, Tai-Nii walked out of the cave behind us and shouted out, "Hey! Sometime this year!" We all looked into the cave and saw Tai-Nii just waiting for us, then Tai-Nii said, "Man you guys talk more than Kāsan's book club. Can we go?"

I sighed in annoyance, then I said, "Tai-Baka, don't let those goggles go to your head, or I will hurt you. Learn some freaking patience or there will be pain! And I have plenty of things to bring the pain."

Tai-Nii shrugged, like it wasn't a big deal. Like we weren't about to commence a stealth operation that required that most concentration, then Sora-San sighed in annoyance before saying, "Alright. We're coming." Then we all started running to the desert.

Once we were with the others, Izzy-San started typing on his computer, he pulled out a map of the pyramid and said, "I got into the program and found the most direct route to the center of the pyramid."

I smiled at hearing this and said, "Great! Now we don't have to spend countless hours and taking a chance at running into Etemon-Baka and his cronies while inside the pyramid."

Then Joe-San turned to us and said, "Okay, let's get this straight: we're only going in there to find this guy and get Sora-San her crest, right?"

"Right, right." Tai-Nii said in an annoyed tone.

"That means no fights or dangerous stuff." Joe-San stated in concern, or fear, depends on how you take his tone.

But Ani just simply waved him off and said, "You whimper more than a puppy, Joe-San!"

Rouge nodded at this and said, "Yeah, Mister Complainer, you have complained about every single thing since the moment I have met you, from the heat down to the bloody SAND beneath your feat. And it is really annoying, either grow a backbone for once, or go dig yourself a little hole and hide in it. But whatever you do, leave your complaints inside the sphinx."

I chuckled at this, mostly because Rouge was saying everything I wanted to say, but couldn't because, while Joe-San annoyed the ever-living daylights out of me, he was still a friend and deciding to prevent any "accidents" from happening, I turned towards the complainer and said, "Yeah, seriously, Joe-San. Relax." I then turned to Tai-Nii and in a business-like tone, I asked, "Tai-Nii, what's the plan?"

Tai-Nii turned to me with a grin as he said, "Here's what we're going to do. Matt-San, Mimi-San, Takeru-Kun, you three stay here and stay guard. The rest of us will head inside the pyramid. Let's move out!"

But, before we started leaving, Mimi-San happily said, "If you really don't need me..."

"I miss you guys already." Stated Palmon-San as she waved both her vines at us.

"We'll be back in time to eat." Gomamon-San stated with a cheerful grin as he jumped down the hill.

"Or get eaten." Ani stated as he and Agumon-San jumped down.

I chucked at this and looked towards Olette-Hime and said, "Sometimes Tai-Nii is way too cocky for his own good."

Olette-Chan lightly giggled at this and said, "Oh, he's just excited, Luke-Kun. Come on, we don't want to be left behind now, do we?" Olette-Chan then flew off after Tai-Nii.

I chuckled as Olette-Chan and Rouge floated/ran down the hill. I shook my head and said, "No we do not." I then jumped down myself, with Dorumon-San running right next to me, we shared a look, while knowing this would be dangerous, we were both secretly excited for this. 'Maybe we'd get a chance to screw with Ete-Baka while we're here.' Dorumon-San thought to me via our telepathy.

I chuckled and thought, 'Who knows, Doru-San. But, no matter what, this will be the last Crest we need to collect.' And with that, we both ran after my Nii-San and my girlfriend. And soon, Izzy-San, Joe-San, Sora-San and the Digimon followed after us. And soon, all of us were sneaking up to the pyramid.

Then, as we hid behind a dune of sand, Tai-Nii turned towards us and whispered, "Ok, stay together."

As we approached the pyramid, Izzy-San double checked his computer and said, "There's a hidden back door to the program we can use to get in." He typed rapidly as he said, "It should be right up ahead."

Then we quietly ran up to the pyramid, but we found just a plain old wall. "That's funny, it should be right here." Ani said with confusion clear on his face.

I looked at the wall, trying to find something, then I had an idea, "Hey, Izzy-San, where exactly is this back door?"

But before Izzy-San could respond, we all jumped in the air as we heard Etemon-Baka's voice from the distance, "Where's my fried banana sandwich?" Me and Ani looked over the wall and saw Etemon-Baka, then we heard him ask, "You know I like to eat it after my nap!"

Me and Nii-San jumped back in shock, then Joe-San walked up to us and asked, "Tai-San, Luke-San, what is it?"

Tai-Nii put his finger to his mouth then he softly said, "It's Etemon-Baka!"

Then Joe-San cried out in fear, but he covered his mouth, but I knew that we were discovered, I turned to Izzy-San and said, "Izzy-San, where is this back door supposed to be?"

Izzy-San typed rapidly on the computer and said, "It should be right here, but I can't seem to find it!"

I went to punch the was in frustration, but instead of hitting wall, I went right through the pyramid, and fell on my face, I heard Olette-Chan cry out, "Luke-Kun!"

I pushed myself up and rubbed my face and said, "Well, I found that backdoor, but I kind of wish that I didn't involve me falling on my face." As I pushed myself up, I saw that everyone was already in the pyramid.

Then I heard Rouge say, "Maybe I should start calling you Klutz Lord instead of Emo-Sama!"

I glared at Rouge and said, "Don't even think about it. I already bruised my ego falling on my face, I don't need any more from you."

Then I looked around and noticed that Nii-San was missing, and I was about to go looking for him when I heard Tai-Nii call out, "Yoo-Hoo!"

I looked to my right and saw Nii-Baka sticking out his hand then pulling it back in. While chuckling to himself. Then we heard Etemon-Baka's voice call out, "I should really have this place exterminated, because something's starting to bug me!"

I shook my head and lightly chuckled, while I won't deny that that was dangerous, I also won't deny that it was funny either, so I turned to him and said, "Tai-Nii, I don't mind you screwing with the Baka's around here, just be sure that you don't give away our position, while you're doing it okay?"

Tai-Nii smiled at me as he walked out of the invisible wall and said, "We've got him talking to himself!"

I chuckled, and with Olette-Chan's help, I was back on my feet, then after brushing myself off, Sora-San sarcastically said, "Really funny, Tai-Baka! Are you crazy? What if you had gotten us caught?"

Then Tai-Nii smirked as he raised up his finger and said, "But we weren't, were we?"

I chuckled and shook my head as I said, "Relax, Sora-San. We're fine. It was just a harmless prank. No need to worry."

Olette-Chan then looked at me with a soft expression and she said, "Every time you say that, Luke-Kun, I always feel the most worried."

I chuckled at this, knowing that me and Olette-Chan had just completed a Pokémon Diamond and Pearl running gag routine via Dawn and Johanna, and said, "Yeah, I know. Sorry, Hime."

Then Joe-San looked around the hallway we were standing in and he asked, "Well, now what do we do?"

Izzy-San then looked around the walls, searching for any clues or hints as to where our next path will be and said, "I guess we try to find a way through these walls. The trick is finding the weak points." I saw a literal lightbulb appear above his head as he turned to me and asked, "Luke-San, back at the Koromon Village, couldn't you see through walls before?"

I saw where Izzy-San was going, and I nodded, "I see what you're thinking, Brainiac, and I can give it a try." I grabbed my bandana and pulled it over my eyes, then I saw the whole room light up in a bright green coloring, then I said, "Well, that works. Okay, guys, just follow me, and don't stray off course."

Sora-San must have been concerned about me, because she then asked, "But what if there are hidden traps about, Luke-San? I mean, aside from the Koromon Village, you haven't used that sight ability of yours. Are you sure it's safe?"

I turned to her, my eyes still covered and then I said, "While I may not be able to control the earth like I could before yet, after our adventure at Piximon-Sensei's place, I have been able to summon my shield without a problem." I extended m right arm and watched as Digicode started to wrap around my arm, and in a flash of green, my shield was now on my arm.

Then I looked to the others and asked, "See? Now if we activate any kind of trap, I can protect all of you guys." I saw that the Digimon seemed insulted at the fact that weren't being taken accounted for, but I quickly said, "Not saying that your Digimon can't protect you but being able to see when a trap gets sprung has its advantages."

Tai-Nii smiled at this and said, "Just don't walk into a wall, Luke-Chan."

I was going to reply to this, when I was interrupted by Agumon-San, who said, "Hey, I found a weak point!"

We all watched as Agumon-San was about to hit, what he thought was a weak point, but with my sight, I saw that it was a solid wall, then I said, "Agumon-San, wait!" But it was too late, and he hurt his arm.

"As I was saying, we need to find the weak points. Let's use our heads, not hands." Izzy-San stated as Agu-San held his arm in pain.

I sighed at this, knowing that Agu-San got his bullheadedness from Ani, and said, "Why don't you guys leave this to me. Okay?" Everyone nodded, knowing that with at one person who could see through walls would be able to find what we were looking for, without hurting ourselves, then I motioned them to follow me.

We started walking through the pyramid with me leading the group this time, looking out for any kind of disturbance in the walls. Then I heard Sora-San ask, "Hey, Luke-San?"

I turned to Sora-San, my bandana still covering my eyes, and asked, "What is it, Sora-San?"

"How will you be able to tell if any of these walls are fake?" She asked me, clearly curious about my powers.

I lightly chuckled at this because I have yet to explain my powers yet and said, "You see, my element is Earth."

Sora-San then blinked at this, probably wasn't expecting this as an answer, and she asked, "Your element? What do you mean, Luke-San?"

I chuckled and I turned towards Nii-San and asked, "Hey, Ani, you remember when you obtained your Crest Of Courage, and you had that small feeling like you were on fire surround you, and you called your Crest, the Crest Of Fire, right?" Tai-Nii nodded, then I said, "Well, from what I have seen so far, with myself, Ani, Mimi-San, and Takeru-Kun, as well as from what Yamato-San and Izzy-San have told me, the Crests seem to have three components that make up what they are. The Trait that they represent, take my Crest, it represents Protection."

As I spoke, I took notice that Izzy-San was taking notes. You would think that he was navigating through the maze from his laptop, but I could literally see the cogs in his head turning as I said, "Then comes what element that they are associated with, mine being earth. And lastly, the title that they bare, that which you yourself become, I'm the guardian. And because my element is earth, I can see through objects using what I believe to be Seismic Waves, sort of like, Echolocation, in a way, to see the area around me. And if a wall happens to be fake, I will notice that. Does that make sense?" Everyone nodded, be it, with slight confusion on their faces, then we continued through the pyramid.

After walking down a flight of stairs I noticed something, I looked to where a wall was not as solid, then I removed my bandana and saw that the wall was not solid. "This wall's fake."

Tai-Nii then walked up close to the wall and said, "Hey, you can see right through this wall."

We all turned to Izzy-San who was typing on his computer and said, "Yeah, here it is. It's another breach in the system's security."

Then Rouge pointed at the false wall and said, "Look! Gazimon at twelve ol' clock."

We all turned to the false wall and saw the Gazimon-Baka's walk by us, then Sora-San whispered, "Be still."

I shook my head and said, "It doesn't work like that." I leaned against a real wall and thrusted my thumb towards the fake wall and said, "The wall appears fake on this side, but on their side, all they see is a regular old wall."

Then, as we watched the Gazimon walking by, Tai-Nii, the Baka that he was, ran through the wall and did something that I didn't see, then he ran back. We watched as Tai-Nii returned to our side as the Gazimon started punching each other, and Ani started chuckling. I sighed in annoyance at this, then I walked up to Tai-Baka, grabbed him by his ear and dragged him away. He may be older than me by a few years, and is taller than me by several inches, but I was by no means weak, and in an annoyed voice, I said, "Come on, Taichi-Bakamon, keep it moving."

"Hey, Luke-Kun! Let me go!" Tai-Nii cried out in pain as I dragged him by his ear like a scorned parent after yelling at their child.

I swear, I think the universe is punishing me for something that I did in my past life by having me deal with a Nii-San that has more hot air in his head then a hot air balloon.

Despite his struggles, and complaints, I just ignored him, and kept dragging him through the tunnel, then Sora-San, decided to be the scornful mother, said, "You could have gotten us all captured, Tai-Baka! You're so immature!"

Then Joe-San turned to Sora-San and said, "Sora-San, could you yell a little quieter?

Tai-Baka, who was still struggling to get out of my grasp and failing as I have learned to have a tight grip holding Leomon's Beast Sword, and Crescemon's Nova Lunar and Bowgun, then I heard Ani say, "I'm sorry, Sora-Chan…I was just… Hey! Luke-Chan, that hurts!"

I simply turned to Tai-Baka with a glare, then I threw him into a wall, then I grabbed him by the shirt, and held him against said wall and summoned my shield and aimed the tip at his nose, then in a hushed yell, I said, "Kamiya Senshi Taichi! There are a lot of things that you have done in the past that I have been able to overlook, and the reason is because we're brothers!" I yelled at my Baka of a brother.

I could feel my anger, not anger, my disappointment in Ani growing stronger as I said, "But what you have just done could have possibly alerted Etemon-Baka and his lackies of our infiltration of this pyramid. And could have jeopardized our safety! I thought you learned to take things more seriously after the incident at the coliseum. I'm not sure if Amaterasu-San is awake or not, but for the sake of my sanity, and the safety of us all, she needs to keep you from doing something stupid."

Tai-Nii raised his hands in a frightened surrender and said, "Luke-Kun, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I just wanted to mess with these guys a little. Is that wrong?"

I glared at my Baka Nii-San and said, "When we could possibly get discovered and chased through this cavern, then YES! ABSOLUTLY IT IS TAICHI!" I saw Tai-Nii try to shrink under my gaze in fear, I looked around and saw that everyone was shocked at me, then I looked back at Tai-Nii, then I dismissed my shied, closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths, not letting go of him just yet, then I calmly said, "Think with your head for once. The Digital World does not revolve around you, Baka. If we were to be discovered because of you, and one of us got hurt because of it, the blame would rest on you alone, Tai. Do you want that?"

Tai-Nii quickly shook his head rapidly then he said, "No. I don't."

Then I knelt down to be eye level with him and said, "Then stop trying to rush into things without thinking. Show us, show me, that you really are a leader, and not just a kid, Tai-Nii. Okay?" I asked as I stood back up, I let go of his shirt.

Tai-Nii looked like he had at least understood what I was trying to beat into his head, quickly nodded and said, "You got it, Luke-San."

I smiled, then I held my hand out to him, he grabbed it and I pulled him back up to his feet. Then I said, "Just remember, think before you do something stupid, Tai-Nii."

Tai-Nii rubbed the back of his head, and after taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down, he looked towards me and said, "You got it, Luke-Chan."

I nodded at him with the twitching in my eye as I softly said, "I swear, by the end of this journey, I'm going to have an uncontrollable twitch in my eye." Then I looked back to the others and said, "Come on, we still have a mission to complete." And with that, we all continued on our path through the pyramid.

After a while of walking, we walked through another fake wall and soon found a large wired electric fence, to which Tentomon-San stated, "This looks nasty! We don't have to pass through here, do we?"

We all looked to Izzy-San, who was checking his laptop, then he said, "This Fire Wall is the system's last line of defense. But there appears to be only one safe way through it."

Then Joe-San began biting his nails as he fearfully stated, "And if we pick the wrong one, they'll scoop us up with a spatula."

"You're not scared, are you, Joe-San?" Gomamon-San asked our twitching, bumbling mess, otherwise known as Joe-Baka.

To which he turned to Gomamon-San and quickly replied with, "Maybe I am, a little."

Then Tai-Nii then put his hands behind his head and brashly stated, "Relax, it's not like we're human or anything. We're just bunches of kilobytes, remember?"

Without a second thought, I quickly summoned my shield, transformed it into the crossbow, then fired it right above Ani, cutting a few threads of hair off of him. Then I said, "ANI DON'T BE AN BAKA! I HAD JUST STATED YESTERDAY THAT WE ARE HUMAN! AND WE CAN GET HURT IF WE AREN'T CAREFUL! IF YOU PICK THE WRONG ONE, YOU COULD DIE! DO YOU WANT THAT!?"

Tai-Nii quickly looked at me in both shock and fear as he asked, "You weren't joking, Luke-Kun?"

"When it comes to things like the safety of others, Tai-Nii, I never joke around!" I stated with my Crossbow still pointing at Nii-San.

Then Olette-Chan floated up between us and said, "Now, now boys. Please calm yourselves. I'm sure that we can figure a way through this."

Tai-Nii turned and pouted while mumbling about something that I couldn't make out. I simply nodded and dismissed my crossbow and said, "Thank you, O-Hime. I'm not sure what could have happened if I didn't get Nii-San to stand down."

Olette-Chan smiled and simply said, "It's okay, Luke-Kun. I know that you were just trying to protect your brother from himself, there's nothing wrong with that."

I looked down at my crest, almost swearing that I saw a green aura radiate off of it and I sagely said, "The Crest Of Protection. I can see now why I was chosen for it. Not just protecting my friends and loved ones from danger, but from themselves as well."

Then Dorumon-San turned to me and in a curious manner, he asked, "Luke-San, do you know which one it is? Or, can you not see it?"

I sighed and closed my eyes and focused on the area around me, transforming the darkness into a bright green glow. The best way to describe it is, like Aura Sight from Pokémon. That is my best description of it. I looked at the fence, but I couldn't see the fake wall. Mostly because this was a metal fence, and it was covered in electricity.

I opened my eyes and shook my head and said, "No. I can't tell one fence from the other, and the electricity is messing with my vision, sorry. Izzy-San, you got anything?"

Without answering me, Izzy-San rapidly typed on his computer then he walked over to a part of the fence and said, "The weak point should be...here." He pointed towards the fence in front of him.

And without a second thought, Tai-Nii smiled brightly and said, "Cool." Then he walked right through it and disappeared, shocking Izzy-San, Sora-San, and Joe-San, then Tai-Nii came back and asked, "Are you coming in, or are you just gonna stand there all day?" And soon we all followed him.

When we finally came out of the other end, we found a place covered in metal. Then Izzy-San gasped in both shock and wonder, then he stated, "This is the host computer."

"Yowzah." Stated Tai-San in shock. Then he jokingly asked, "Do you think it comes with a CD -ROM drive, or is that optional?"

I then noticed something in the middle of the room. It was a small glass container with a small machine like Digimon that looked like a microchip mixed with a lightbulb. Then Sora-San asked, "And what do you suppose that thing is?"

To which Tentomon-San stated, "I've heard of him. His name's Datamon, a super intelligent robotic Digimon. He disappeared without a trace some time ago. Nobody ever knew what happened to him."

Then Sora-San turned towards us and suggested, "Maybe that's the thing that sent us the E-Mail. Kind of looks like he's a prisoner."

Then Rouge scoffed and stated, "A prisoner in a pyramid? How odd. I wonder how he got here?" Though she did seem curious, there was a look of suspicion on her face that seemed to suggest that she had something on her mind.

I suddenly felt a chill run down my spine, almost as if danger were going to be coming shortly. Then Izzy-San's computer had the image of Datamon-San pop up, and a robotic voice stated, "Of course it was! Who else?" We all looked at the computer as Datamon-San spoke, "Today is your lucky day... And mine."

I saw the lightbulb go on above Izzy-San's head as he said, "I get it, he's communicating with us through the infrared port on my laptop."

Then Datamon-San spoke in an almost mocking tone, "Oh, a hardware fan. Well, listen, we haven't much time. Long, long ago, I fought Etemon and lost. One of my rare miscalculations." He said in a bit of an embarrassed tone of voice, then he said, "Anyway, I was severely damaged, and he imprisoned me here and forced me to act as his webmaster. Administrating his network."

I chuckled at this, and said, "Figures, I knew that Etemon-Baka wasn't smart enough to actually run a real Dark Network on his own."

Datamon-San nodded and said, "Precisely. And without Etemon knowing, however, I was able to slowly repair myself. Restoring my capabilities bit-by-bit over the years. Eventually I gained control over Etemon's Network, not total control, but enough to bring some misery to that blubbering baboon."

Rouge chuckled with a devious smirk on her face and said, "Awesome. And I thought I was evil."

Olette-Chan turned towards Rouge and said, "Rouge-San, I don't think now is the best time to be complementing Digimon about their devious ideas."

Rouge sighed at my girlfriend and folded her arms as she said, "Oh, fine. Still, I do like how he messed with that annoying monkey breath."

Then Datamon-San turned towards us and he said, "And at long last, I'm ready to free myself, but I need your help to break the cyber-lock."

"What about my Crest? You said that in your message that you could lead us to it." Sora-San said to Datamon-San, reminding us the other reason why we came here.

I snapped my fingers remembering that small detail and stated, "Yeah, you did say that. So, where is it, Datamon-San?"

Then Datamon-San stuttered for a single moment, but it was enough to get me on edge as he said, "Um, yes, whatever you want, just please help me out of here!" Giving me a very bad feeling about all of this.

"Can we trust this talking can opener?" Joe-San asked us, possibly having the same bad feeling that I just had.

"Well, if you ask me, I'd say we leave him here, if Etemon had this guy locked up, I'd have to say it was for a good reason." Rouge stated in a calm, yet curious tone. "Remember, this IS Etemon we're talking about still."

Olette-Chan turned to our traveling demon and said, "Come on, Rouge, we can at least give him a chance. I'm sure that he was wrongfully trapped. So, let's help him out."

Rouge scoffed and said, "Fine. But if he turns on us, I want first dibs on this guy."

I smirked and said, "Sure, no problem." I then sent a hidden glare at Datamon-San, there was something off about him that I couldn't explain. I know that this part of the series was important, but I can't put my finger on just WHAT it was.

Then Datamon-San loudly stated, "Hey, Etemon is your enemy as well as mine. That makes us allies. Please, you're my only hope!"

Tai-Nii, not really sure what to do, turned to me and asked, "Otouto, what do you say?"

I closed my eyes and folded my arms and became silent as I thought about what he was saying, then I opened my eyes and said, "Well, he's right, Etemon-Baka is all of our enemies at the moment, so, as the age old saying goes, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' So, let's help him." But I turned to Datamon-San and said, "But, know this, you pile of scraps, if you betray us, and I shall finish what Etemon-Baka started, understand?"

Datamon-San seemed overjoyed at hearing this and quickly nodded and said, "Perfectly."

Then Tai-Nii punched his fist as he asked, "Okay, you're on. What do you want from us?"

Then Datamon-San turned towards Izzy-San and said, "I am transmitting instructions for disengaging the Cyber-Lock."

Then Izzy-San ran up to an odd-looking panel that was on the wall, and took note of everything, then Izzy-San turned towards us and asked, "Hey, can one of you push that lever for me?"

I nodded and said, "You got it, Izzy-San." I went up to the lever and pulled it down. That revealed that the panel had knobs that Izzy-San turned in a certain order. I turned to Datamon-San and couldn't shake the feeling that he was up to something.

And that bad feeling was further stated when Datamon-San said, "Quickly, quickly! Before Etemon returns!"

Then I heard Izzy-San loudly say, "Okay, Luke-San, pull the lever back to its original position. That should be the last step in the process."

I nodded and was about to reluctantly pushed the lever upwards, when Etemon-Baka's voice called out, "Hold it!" We turned to see that Etemon-Baka had arrived.

"Etemon-Baka!" Ani called out in annoyance.

Etemon-Baka chuckled deeply, and if it weren't for the fact that he sounded like an Elvis impersonator, I would have found him threatening, as he said, "I've been watching you on surveillance cameras and you're an annoying little brat, you know that?" Then two Gazimon jumped into the room.

Then Tai-Nii smiled widely as he cheerfully said, "Hey, it's been my pleasure!"

Then Joe-San turned to Tai-Nii and said, "Great, why don't you call him ugly, too?"

I smirked and turned to Etemon-Baka and said, "Causing mischief is my favorite pastime." I then gave the annoying Digimon a mock bow.

Then Etemon-Baka turned to us and said, "All this time I thought it was these snot-nosed kids who was causing my network to go on the fritz, but it was you, wasn't it, you Digital Dumpster?!"

Then Datamon-San turned towards this dumb Digimon and said, "Well, in a word, yes."

Then Etemon-Baka ran towards me with his fist raised, ready to punch me, but just before his fist landed in my gut, I had my shield out and blocked his punch, but it did push me back a little bit, but not by much. "Ugh, not bad, for a monkey." I said as I pushed Etemon-Baka back.

Etemon-Baka chuckled at me and said, "It'll take more than some cheap trick to take me on."

I smirked and asked, "Oh? Is that right? Well then..." I raised my D-Ark in front of me and said, "Let's dance, Etemon-Baka."

Then Dorumon-San stood right beside me as he said, "Digimon, time to Rock 'N' Roll!" Then the whole room was filled with the sounds of Digivices echoing.

D-I-G-I-V-O-U-L-U-T-I-O-N

And soon, Dorugamon-San, Greymon-San, Kabuterimon-San, Birdramon-San, and Ikkakumon-San were all here and ready to play. Greymon-San quickly charged at Etemon-Baka but was punched to the side. Etemon-Baka then grabbed Ikkakumon-San by his horn and threw him into Kabuterimon-San.

I saw that things weren't looking good for us, then I quickly thought of something. I raised my hand into the air, then as I slammed it onto the ground, I said, "Koishi no arashi!"

Etemon-Baka looked at me in confusion, before the ground beneath him cracked, and six small pebbles struck him, knocking him off balance, before being struck by Dorugamon-San's Cannonball. 'Not as effective as I was hoping for, but it's a start.' I thought to myself.

Seeing the distraction, I turned to Datamon-San and said, "This is your chance to prove yourself, Datamon-San, help us defeat Etemon-San, and guide us to Sora-San's Crest, and you're free to go." Then I lifted up the lever, and lowering the cage that Datamon-San was trapped in.

Then Datamon-San gave a cheer as he said, "I'm free! Now let's see how you like it!"

Etemon-Baka turned to Datamon-San in confusion and he asked, "Huh?"

Then Datamon-San seem to have a strange version of telepathy as he lifted up the fragments of his former prison that he was once in and threw them at Etemon-Baka and his flunkies, but the shards also hit Birdramon-San. "Biyomon-Chan!" Sora-San cried out as Birdramon-San DeDigivolved back into Biyomon-San.

I gritted my teeth and turned to Datamon-San in anger and I said, "Hey! We set you free!"

Then Datamon-San bowed and said in a mocking tone, "And I do appreciate that, you chumps!" Great, we once again were tricked.

Then Etemon-Baka got up on his feet as he rubbed his chin and said, "Dumb kids. You'd think by now they'd learn to trust no one."

I smirked at Datamon-Teme, then I said, "Oh, Datamon-Baka, you are a fool." Datamon-Baka looked at me as I glared at him and said, "You forget, I said that if you betray us, I will finish what Etemon-Baka started, and now, I will follow up on that promise." I transformed my shield into my Crossbow and aimed it at Datamon-Baka, then I said, "Etemon-Baka, after this, I'm coming for you."

Datamon-Teme darkly chuckled at me and said, "Trust me, this will hurt."

Then he fired a swarm of data bugs at both me and Etemon-Baka, I then shouted, "Aporo no kami no ya!" And fired off my emerald-colored arrow.

And Etemon-Baka charged up a ball of dark energy, and shouted, "Dark Network!" And threw it like a baseball. Our attacks struck Datamon-Baka's, but it created a large explosion, that blew all of us off our feet. The resulting shockwave made me disoriented, falling to my knees, and feeling like hell, I was forced to dismiss my crossbow. When I could see things not in sets of three, I watched as Sora-San tried to get Biyomon-San to wake up.

Then I watched as Datamon-Baka was thrown against the same wall that Sora-San was kneeling near.

I watched as Etemon-Baka walked up to Datamon-Teme and said, "Tough luck, looks like I won again."

Then Datamon-Teme growled at Ete-Baka and said, "It's not over yet, monkey-breath." Datamon-Baka then floated up behind Sora-San and grabbed both her and Biyomon-San, then he turned towards the orange monkey and said, "Just wait. With their powers harnessed to my own, I'll be more than a match for you! Huh!" And with both DigiDestined and Digimon in hand, he then jumped away.

I struggled to get up, still feeling like hell, but I still called out, "Sora-San! Biyomon-San!"

Then Etemon-Baka turned to run after Datamon-Teme but was stopped by Greymon-San and Ikkakumon-San. Then Olette-Chan floated up to me and said, "Luke-Kun!"

I turned to her and noticed that she had her hand outstretched to me, I grabbed it and with her help, I was able to get back on my feet. Then I said, "Arigatō." Olette-Chan nodded then I said, "Come on, we need to get Sora-San!"

Olette-Chan nodded then we ran after Tai-Nii and the others who were already ahead of us. But found that we were blocked by another fence, then Sora-San 's voice called out, "TAI-KUN!"

"They've gone back out through the firewall." Izzy-San stated, already rapidly typing on his computer.

Me and Tai-Nii both glared at the fence and Nii-San said, "Okay!" He searched and searched for the single safe route and said, "The weak point was here, right?"

Then as Tai-Nii went to search for the weak point, Izzy-San loudly said, "Wait! Let me get back online so I can find it."

Then Tai-Nii turned to Izzy-San and said, "We don't have time for that, Koshiro! What could happen? This isn't the real me, right?"

Then I walked up to Tai-Nii and smacked him upside the head and said, "How many times am I going to have to beat you upside the head until you remember that this is real, Baka!? If you pick the wrong one, you will die!" And to prove my point, I summoned my shield, and threw it at the fence and we all watched at the shield exploded into particles of data. Then I resummoned my shield and said, "See, Tai-Baka? The danger is very real! THINK FOR ONCE!"

Izzy-San nodded and said, "Yeah, what are you thinking, Taichi? That we're inside a video game, and that this was a place where nothing can happen to us?"

Tai-Nii reluctantly nodded his head as he said, "Well…yeah, something like that!"

I folded my arms and scoffed at that as I said, "These are our real selves, Ani. Think before you do something stupid."

Izzy-San then called out, "Yes! Think again! Our bodies may be made of data, but if we were to perish, our data will not rebuild itself and bring us back, this is our only life, and we cannot waste it! You need to be a lot more careful. No telling what may happen."

Then Tai-Nii's eyes widened in shock as he asked, "You mean if I..."

I nodded very seriously, and I said, "Yes, Taichi-Nii! If you chose the wrong point, you'll die, you'll never see Sora-San again, never see Agumon-San again, and you'll never see Kari-Chan again."

At the mention of Kari-San's name, Tai-Nii froze in place. Then he softly said, "Hikari." Tai-Nii was frozen in shock, in fear, then he said, "I can't move."

Then Izzy-San turned towards Ani and said, "The weak point is one meter to your right."

But Tai-Nii didn't move, instead he weakly said, "No way, one false move and it's over!"

Tai-Nii then slumped down slightly, almost like he lost his strength and Joe-San said, "Hey, Tai-San..."

"For Pete's sake, Tai-San. We came through it all right on the way in." Izzy-San stated, trying to get my brother to get moving.

But he didn't, and instead, Tai-Nii, in a frightened voice said, "Yeah, but then I didn't know that..."

I walked over to Tai-Nii and grabbed his left hand with my right and said, "Taichi Kamiya, you are the DigiDestined Of Courage, start acting like it. Right now Sora-San could be in trouble and you are sitting here being afraid. Right now you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to save a friend, Tai-Nii."

Tai-Nii looked me in the eyes, then he stuttered, "But I..."

I looked my brother dead in the eye and said, "Tai, I was willing to jump in front of Phobos's Dākufureimu to save our friends. Are you telling me, that you, the barer of the Crest Of Courage, is going to chicken out while I was able to fight off you being possessed? No way, Nii-San. If you are scared, then here, let me help you. We'll do this together. Just be brave."

Tai-Nii looked down and said, "I'm not brave, I'm scared, afraid."

I sighed at this, knowing that at the moment, he was hesitating, and he was uncertain as to what to do, so I made him look me in the eyes and I said, "Taichi, being brave does not mean having no fear. It means being able to face your fears."

Just before Tai-Nii could make a decision the wall was blasted down, and our partners were sent flying onto the ground. Then Agumon-San weakly said, "Gomen."

"Ugh, we held them off as long as we could. Sorry, Emo-Sama." Rouge said to me.

We ran up to our partners. And I said, "Doru-San, Doru-San speak to me!"

But then the cloud of smoke cleared, and Etemon-Baka came into view, then he said, "Now to finish off you kids and put an end to your annoying interference!"

But then the celling came crashing down as Matt-San, Garurumon-San, and Togemon-San came to crash our party. Then Togemon-San asked, "Would you care for some Needle Spray!" Then she unleashed a bombardment of needles onto the baboon. And Garurumon-San joined her with a Howling Blaster.

Then Matt-San looked at us and said, "Come on, let's move!" We started climbing up walls, when Matt-San said, "Tai-San, what's wrong with you, come on!" Matt-San then grabbed my Nii-San and started to push him up the wall.

After we got away, Matt-San looked at me and Tai-Nii and asked, "I don't get it. When the creep grabbed Sora-San and Biyomon-San, why didn't you two go through the firewall after them?"

Tai-Nii was sitting on the ground clutching his knees and shaking in fear, then he said, "I couldn't...I couldn't move!"

Then Joe-San looked at Nii-San with a soft expression as he said, "It's not your fault. We're all in this together, Tai-San, we'll find a way to get them back."

Tai-Nii then punched the ground in rage and said, "It's all my fault! Sora-Chan, it's all my fault."

Wow, that's tough, with Sora-San now in the robotic clutches of Datamon-Teme, it is now up to us to save her and Biyomon before something bad happens, but, the problem is, can Tai-Nii get his courage back? Stay tuned for the next Digimon: New Life!

Thechaosmaster: BOOM! There it is, finally, this chapter is done. How did it come out? Well, after the next chapter we will finally be 'properly' introducing Kari. Anyways, as I was saying up top, I was distracted in BO4 zombies getting zombie kills, and the Welling sucks for camo, but, yeah, that was why I was late with this crud, so, yeah. Anyways, that is all. See you next time.

CHAOS CONTROL!

Thechaosmaster: Okay, I know everyone is probably wondering where the HELL I've been. Well, I'll just say it. I have hit a little roadblock when it comes to DigiHearts. And, I have been working on a little…project, as well. What is that project? Well, it is a chapter for Digimon New Life, but not for this season. I will not say what it is about but will say that it is part of season 3. A.k.a. the Tamers season. Also, I have decided to give the code for that strange cypher back in Olette's introductory chapter. The Key is similar to the code found in the Abyssal Ruins found in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. The words are reversed, and the number key is 3. I won't say what the words say, but, well, I'll let you readers find out. Also, I have been reading a lot of different fanfics in my free time. But, anyways, I am Thechaosmaster, and this has been my updated chapter.
