Back with another chapter.

So, this will begin the events of 9/11.

Let's get to it.

Chapter 2- The World Stops Turning

Rommel feels his eyes open as his alarm, one of his favorite songs, begins playing on his phone. He smiles a bit, knowing that if the Republic had never found Earth, phone technology would probably be nowhere near this advanced.

Rommel shuts off the alarm and gets out of bed. He takes a quick shower, then packs up everything he took out of his bags the night before. He decides to keep his military uniform in his bags, and dresses in a simple pair of jeans, a red shirt, and a black jacket. He then turns to his lightsabers, both resting on the bedside table. His original blue lightsaber that was given to him by Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu, and the smaller, green bladed lightsaber that had once belonged to Yoda. Rommel had honored his pledge to carry the lightsaber. Now, with the Museum of Andromeda Galaxy History almost completed, Rommel is planning to donate the lightsaber to the museum.

Rommel muses for a second on whether to bring the lightsabers. According to international regulations, Jedi and members of the ASAT team are permitted to carry their lightsaber aboard flights. The Terran Alliance General Assembly believes Jedi and ASAT members to be trustworthy enough to carry them on board planes. However, over many flights he's taken since the end of the Clone Wars, he's never needed them. For a few moments, he considers leaving them in his luggage. However, he remembers a while back when Hall flew on a flight and left his saber in his luggage, and the saber accidently activated seven different times during the flight due to being jostled around. It destroyed some of his luggage and some items in another suitcase, which Hall had had to pay for. This wasn't the only time. He'd heard that Aayla Secura had had the same thing happen about two years ago. Feeling it might be best just to avoid damaging any baggage, he decides to take them. He slides Yoda's old saber onto his belt underneath his jacket, and slides his original saber into a pocket inside his jacket.

Once he confirms he has everything, Rommel gathers all of his baggage and leaves the room, heading down to the lobby and out of the hotel's entrance, where he finds the cab he called for waiting for him. He loads his bags into the trunk of the cab and hops in.

It's a short cab ride to the airport. Once he gets there, Rommel hops out, hands the driver his fare and a hefty tip just to be nice, and heads into the airport.

Rommel makes his way to the check in counter for United Airlines. After waiting in line for about a half hour, he finally reaches the check in counter.

He hands the ticket agent his ID. The agent takes one look at it, and looks up at him wide eyed. Rommel raises a finger to his lips and says, "Not a word."

The agent nods and says, "Welcome, General Rommel. Checking any bags today?" Rommel nods and hands the agent his suitcase. She quickly checks it and puts it onto the conveyor belt behind her. She then prints his boarding pass and smiles. "Have a wonderful flight today, sir," she says.

Rommel nods with a small smile and grabs his carry on, heading for security.

The wait in security isn't quite as long as the wait for check in. He soon reaches the x rays. He sets his bag on the conveyor belt then walks through the x ray. Of course, it goes off, and he's asked to step out.

As he does, and the agent walks up to him. As he does, Rommel says, "I know what set it off." He then opens his jacket enough for the agent to see his lightsaber.

The agent looks at it in surprise. Rommel then shows him his ID to confirm he's an ASAT member. The agent quickly says, "Welcome to Newark, General. Please step through." Rommel smiles and nods before moving to pick up his bag.

After he grabs his bag, Rommel looks at his boarding pass, and sees his flight, United Flight 93, is set to depart from Gate A17. It's not set to depart for another hour, so Rommel decides to go try and get a quick snack before boarding begins. He goes to a nearby shop in the terminal to get some chips before he heads to the gate.

As he sits down near the gate, he pulls out a book and starts reading. However, it's not too long before boarding starts. Rommel makes his way to the gate and presents his boarding pass. He then makes his way down the jetway and onto the airplane, where he takes his seat in the final row of first class. He then watches some of the passengers as they board, noticing a Middle Eastern man sitting in one of the seats on the other side of the aisle from him.

After a relatively short boarding process, the plane pushes back from the gate. However, the pilot soon announces over the intercom that there's an extensive delay. Rommel settles back into his chair with a sigh and pulls out his book again.

(San Francisco, California, 5:14 AM Pacific Time)

Samuel Adams smiles as he feels his flight touch down on the runway at San Francisco International Airport. After a short flight up from San Diego, he's finally landing in San Francisco.

The plane taxis to its gate and parks. As soon as the seatbelt light is turned off, Adams leaps up to grab his carry on bag. As soon as the door is open, he hurries off the airplane. While he does enjoy flying, he's eager to get off the plane and see his old friend that he hasn't seen in a little over 2 years.

As Adams exits the jetway, he looks around and quickly sees Daniel Mofaz waiting a short distance away. Adams smiles and hurries over to his old friend. The two embrace with a hearty laugh, and Adams says, "Ahh, Daniel, so good to see you. It's been too long, my friend!"

"Indeed it has!" Mofaz says with a laugh.

After the two separate, Mofaz says, "Well, Dennis isn't supposed to arrive for like 5 hours. Why don't we go get some food?"

"Man after my own heart. Let's eat!" Adams says, and the two walk off arm in arm.

(Newark, 8:42 AM Eastern Time)

"Flight attendants, prepare for takeoff," the pilot announces over the intercom.

Rommel smiles. At last, after a nearly fourty minute delay, they are on their way.

The pilots taxi the plane onto the runway, and then the plane starts to accelerate. Rommel smiles as he feels the plane shoot down the runway, then that feeling in his gut as the plane rises into the air. At last, his flight is underway

(Manhattan, 8:44 AM Eastern Time)

"I wonder where Tyler is," Ahsoka asks, looking up and down the street.

"Don't worry. He's only a few minutes late. He'll be here soon," her husband, Dakota says.

The two are waiting on Broadway not far from the World Trade Center for Hall to show up for a day of fun on the town. It's a pretty nice day in New York, and Ahsoka is excited to see her brother in law again. She hasn't seen him in almost 8 months.

"Hey! Dork!"

The two smile. Even if they didn't immediately recognize the voice, those words would give it right away. The two turn and see Tyler hurrying towards them.

"You really need to stop calling me that," Dakota says.

"And what would be the fun in that?" Tyler says with a laugh. Dakota laughs too, and the brothers embrace each other, laughing.

Once they separate, Hall turns to Ahsoka and says, "Good to see you again, 'Soka." He embraces her as well, and Ahsoka smiles brightly as she embraces her brother in law.

When they separate, Hall says, "Sorry it took me so long. Once I landed at Newark, I got out quick enough, but it wasn't easy to find a quick way here by bus."

"No worries," Ahsoka says.

"Well, what should we do first?" Hall asks.

"Well, first of all, breakfast. I think there's a Subway Sandwiches not too far from here," Dakota says.

"Sounds good to me," Hall says.

The three of them turn and start walking down the street, chatting with each other. As they do, Ahsoka suddenly hears something. The sound of an airplane flying overhead. However, it sounds much louder than normal. Like something you'd hear at an airport rather than over downtown Manhattan.

Ahsoka looks up, and out of the corner of her eye, sees off to her right an airliner flying at very low altitude over the city. Then, before she can say anything, the plane flies directly into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Ahsoka gasps in horror, and the sound of the explosion instantly draws the attention of her two companions, who stare in horror at the expanding fireball.

"What the h***?" Hall says out loud.

"I just saw an airplane fly into the tower!" Ahsoka says.

"What?" Hall exclaims.

"I have to get over there. I have to help!" Ahsoka says, and she starts sprinting towards the World Trade Center.

As she sprints towards the towers, Hall looks at Dakota, who looks back at his brother with wide eyes.

"What the h*** just happened?" they ask in sync.

And, I'll end there.
