Chapter 2
Hello everyone, and welcome back to Humans After Halloween. Last we saw, Zechariah met the main ghouls and had a late study session with a few of the ghouls. Now, let's see how things are going with them.
A couple weeks had passed since Zechariah had started at Monster High, as he met and got to know a lot more Ghouls and Mansters at the school.
One Manster he met was a Fire elemental monster named Heath Burns, who liked to think of himself as a 'Ladies Man'. Another one was Clawd's childhood friend, Romulous, who was a pretty chill guy. Zechariah also met some more ghouls too.
One of them is Wydowna Spider, an anthropomorphic black widow spider. She has six arms, black fangs and red eyes: two humanlike eyes, and four spider eyes above them. Her skin is dark grey, almost black and her hair is long and red, which can sometimes be in a ponytail. She also wore a black shirt with tiny red graffiti all over it, white skinny jeans, and red polka-dotted high-heeled shoes that looked in the shape of spider webs. She also wore spider web-shaped earrings, red and silver bracelets, and one red wrist-high glove on her six hands.
Wydowna's measurements are as follows: C-Cup boobs, slim waist, wide hips, thick thighs and a big ghetto-like ass (since she's a spider, you know?).
Another ghoul he met was Spectra Vondergeist, a ghost girl in charge of the Ghostly Gossip. Her skin is ghostly pale - almost stark white - which fades to transparent at the beginning of her hands and feet. Her face is somewhat gaunt. Her hair is long and violet, with periwinkle and pinkish-purple highlights. It is usually frisky, as the ends stick up as if it were floating like a ghost.
The irises of her eyes are icy blue, with the pupils being a dark blue, and the sclera are a pale lilac. Her fashion motif is Gothic; chains, black balls, and shackles, along with an attire consisting of round purple and black earrings, a black halter tank top with light magenta edgings and chains on the front, a chain necklace, a shackle belt, a magenta tattered skirt with black, translucent overlay skirt, and magenta, ankle-length boots with two chains around the ankle and barbell-styled heels. She wears shackles as bracelets, and she wears two of them.
Her measurements were pretty great. D-Cup boobs, slim waist, wide hips, somewhat thick thighs and nice sized bubble-butt.
Spectra was also behind some gossip of Zechariah and Venus dating. It's because she took a pic of Venus placing her ass on his crotch and wrote about it. Luckily, things handled themselves out in the end.
Speaking of Zechariah and Venus, they had been getting closer as friends in the gardening club. They got to know more about each other's likes, dislikes and other hobbies.
He had also got to know everyone else, getting some good friends. He even got somewhat closer to Clawdeen, who didn't like him too much at the start, though she was still a bit cautious around him.
It was the middle of November, as it was getting cold outside, meaning everyone was wearing jackets to school. Zechariah had some time to get accustomed to his class schedule at Monster High.
On his way to the front doors of Monster High, he ran into a trio of werecats, Toralei and her two lackies. They were there to try and ruin his day. They didn't have much in the feature department, as they weren't as curvy as a lot of the other ghouls in school.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in, herself." Zechariah quipped.
"Funny." Toralei said, unamused. "I never expected a normie like you to last this long at Monster High, but if you wanna get further, you should join us."
"I would, but I have been informed of you and your friends from Frankie and her friends, and I know you'll cause me nothing but trouble." Zechariah told her, which she didn't like hearing.
"Fine, if you side with those dweebs, then you made enemies today!" Toralei stated, as she then stormed off with her friends following. Zechariah then went in to get out of the chilly air.
Once inside, he immediately spotted Frankie and her friends, as he walked towards them. Frankie spotted him coming and gave him a big, friendly hug.
"I saw Toralei and her friends coming in before you. Are you alright?" She asked him.
"She did try getting me to join her and her friends, but I declined her offer. Told her that I would rather have friends like you guys." Zechariah told her. Hearing this made Clawdeen respect him a bit more.
"To be honest, even though I still don't fully trust you, as least I can trust you not being on Toralei's side." Clawdeen said. Zechariah smiled at the compliment Clawdeen gave him.
"Thanks, Clawdeen." Zechariah said. That's when the first bell went off, signaling that they had five minutes to get to class.
"We better get to class, before we are all late." Frankie said, as everyone dashed off to their classes. That's when it was revealed that Toralei was listening from a distance behind a corner.
"So, big bad Clawdeen Wolf doesn't trust him like the others, huh? Guess it's time for some fun.~" she said, as she gave a mischievous grin.
Throughout the day, it was pretty normal for Zechariah. Working in class, playfully teasing Clawdeen to chase him in gym and becoming closer to Venus in the Gardening Club. After club, Venus and Zechariah headed out to meet up with their friends. That's when Zechariah heard a noise and saw a familiar hand motioning for him to follow.
"Go meet up with everyone, I have to get something really quick." He told Venus.
"Alright, I will let them know." She said, as she then left.
Once Venus left, Zechariah went in the direction the hand went and found Toralei standing there. "Why am I not surprised to see you again so soon." He said.
"What? I just want to have a friendly conversation. Is that too hard to ask?" Toralei asked in her usual up-to-no-good tone.
"You and friendly in the same sentance? Doesn't sound good to me." Zechariah said, not trusting Torelei. She then turned her back to him, pretending to be hurt.
"Fine, then I won't tell you that Clawdeen and her friends might stab you in the back. Whoops, shouldn't have said that." Toralei lied, as she gave a mischievous that he couldn't see.
"What? They would never do that." Zechariah told her.
"Are you sure? I heard not all of them trust you completely." Toralei said.
"Wait, do you mean Clawdeen? Yeah, she still doesn't trust me completely, but that doesn't mean she will betray me." Zechariah told the werecat.
"That's exactly what it means. If you don't have 100% trust in your friends, then they will betray you. And if she betrays you, what makes you think the others won't follow suit?" Toralei asked, wondering in her head if he will fall for it.
This didn't make any sense to Zechariah. He knew Torelei could be trying to trick him, but in a way, she had a point. If friends can't fully trust each other, why try being friends with them?
"I...need to think this over." Zechariah said, as he walked away. Toralei gave a big smile as he left, knowing her plan was in motion.
Zechariah got outside and caught up with the group, who were waiting outside for him.
"Took ya long enough." Clawdeen said, as she was waiting with her arms folded.
"Finally. Let's get going Zechariah. We need to study as much as possible." Frankie said, as she grabbed the boy by the arm and lead him to Cleo's house for a huge study session. Reason being, finals for the first Scaremester are coming up and everyone needs to pack in as much as possible.
Cleo's house was more of a huge pyramid, since she was a mummy, after all. Once there, everyone went in and got comfy in the huge living room. Cleo's father was on a business trip, so he didn't know a Normie like Zechariah was coming over. That's when Cleo's sister, Nefera, came in.
"Daddy would never let a Normie in here." She said, annoying Cleo.
"That's why he doesn't, and won't, know about it." Cleo said, giving her sister a glare that said 'If you tell, I will curse you.'
"Fine, but you owe me. Big time." Nefera said, as she left to her room.
"Man, I can't stand ghouls who are sefish and spoiled like her." Zechariah said.
"Imagine living with her 24/7." Cleo said, dramatically.
"Must be horrible." Zechariah said.
"The worst." Cleo said. After that little conversation, everyone got to studying. While studying, Zechariah couldn't help but to glance at Clawdeen every now and again, still having the words of Toralei stuck in his head.
'I know Toralei tends to trick people, but what if she's right? What if Clawdeen will betray me?' He thought. That's when he got up.
"Cleo, where's your bathroom?" He asked the mummy.
"Down the hall, third door to the left." Cleo said, as she then continued to study.
As Zechariah headed to the bathroom, Clawd looked in the directiong he went. He noticed Zechariah has been acting strange since he joined their group for the study session, as he kept glancing at his sister. He had to find out what was going on, as he got up to follow, which he didn't know a certain female werewolf following him.
Clawd wasn't the only one to notice Zechariah's weird behavior, as Clawdeen noticed the human glancing at her too. As Clawd waited outside the bathroom for Zechariah, Clawdeen hid behind one of the many statues that lined the hallways. That's when Zechariah came out of the bathroom.
"Hey, man. You've been acting weird since you came out of the school. What's going on?" Clawd asked him.
"W-what do you mean? I'm not acting weird." Zechariah stammered, darting his eyes back and forth, trying to avoid the question.
"C'mon, man. You've been glancing at my sister since you got here. That's pretty suspicious to me." Claud said.
Zechariah let out a sigh. "Fine, you got me. Toralei talked with me before I came out of the school. She told me Clawdeen and everyone here would betray me since Clawdeen still doesn't fully trust me." He explained. From behind her hiding spot, Clawdeen gave a glare and a low growl, knowing Torelei would be behind Zechariah acting weird.
"And you believe her on that?" Clawd asked Zechariah.
"Sort of. I mean, I know she might be tricking me, but what if she is right? Your sister still doesn't fully trust me in the friend group." Zechariah said, then added. "And I haven't even done anything wrong."
"That's just how Clawdeen is, always on guard around new people and takes a while to fully trust them, even if she know's they're good." Clawd said, glancing at the spot where Clawdeen was hiding with a smile, as he had heard her growl.
"What are you glancing at?" Zechariah asked, looking in the same direction, as Clawdeen hid once he looked that way.
"Oh, thought I saw something, but I guess it was my imagination. Let's get back to the others, they must be wondering where we are." Clawd said, as he put afriendly arm around Zechariah's shoulder. They walked past the spot Clawdeen was hiding, heading back to the group.
After a few minutes of waiting, Clawdeen also went back to the group, as to not be too suspicious of listening to Clawd and Zechariah's conversation. That's when Frankie leaned in closer to her.
"Where have you been?" She asked the werewolf.
"Oh, after hearing Zechariah saying he had to use the bathroom, it made me realize I had to go too." She lied, trying not to say she was spying on Zechariah, though Frankie was a bit smart to know when Clawdeen was lying.
"Okay, what's really up?" Frankie asked, which the werewolf knew Frankie wouldn't really believe that. Clawdeen then leaned in and whispered in Frankie's ear.
"Okay, I overheard Zechariah and my brother talking about how Toralei was trying to trick him that we will betray him." She whispered, which made Frankie jolt up in surprise. Literally.
"What?!" She shouted aloud, which got everyone's attention. "Heh, sorry."
"What was that about?" Zechariah asked.
"O-oh, it's nothing." Frankie said, as the bolts on her neck sparked with electricity. Everyone but Zechariah knew that meant she was hiding something.
"Okay, start talking." Cleo demanded. Frankie's bolts continued to spark electricity, as she could hide the secret any longer.
"Toralei it trying to trick Zechariah into thinking we will betray him." She blurted out, which caused almost everyone's eyes to open wide in shock.
"What?!" Almost everyone in the room shouted. That's when Venus put a hand on Zechariah's.
"You don't believe Toralei, do you?" She asked him.
"Not entirly. The only reason I have what she says in my head is because Clawdeen doesn't fully trust me. Guess that makes me stupid for trying beliving her." Zechariah said, putting a hand on his arm.
"You ain't stupid." Clawdeen said, walking up to Zechariah and kneeling next to him. "It just takes some time for me to get used to others. It isn't worth it listening to Torelei over."
"She's right." Cleo added. "I didn't fully trust you either on the first day, until you stood up to Nefera at the maul that day."
"See, no matter how long it takes for someone to trust you, it doesn't mean they aren't untrustworthy." Frankie said, as she hugged Zechariah from behind.
"Yeah, it's those like Toralei that you can't trust." Draculaura said.
"Thanks, everyone. Though, who told you about that, Frankie? The only one I told about that was Clawd." Zechariah said, to which Clawdeen chuckled nervously.
"Hehe, sorry. Like Clawd, I was suspicious about your behavior, so I followed you both and hid behind one of the many statues." Clawdeen admitted.
"Oh, I see. That's what he was looking at when we were done talking." Zecharaih said.
"I think we should get back at Toralei for trying to trick you." Venus told Zechariah.
"And I think I have the perfect idea." He said.
The next day, Zechariah was walking to school like usual. He was approaching the steps, when he came across Toralei, Meowledy and Purrsephone apparently waiting for him.
"So, have your 'Friends' betrayed you yet?" Toralei asked with a smirk on her face.
"Yeah, you were right. They didn't want to be friends with someone like me." Zechariah lied, though he hid it pretty well. He walked up the steps of Monster High.
"See, what did I say? If you don't have trust with friends, then they will betray you." Toralei said, as she crossed her arms and believed Zechariah's lie.
"Yes, you were right." Zechariah said, as he opened the door for Toralei and her friends. "Ladies first."He offered.
"Such a gentleman." Toralei said, as she, Meowledy and Purrsephone walked through the door. As they did, a big splash sound could be heard. Once Zechariah went inside, he saw the three werecats were soaked in a green liquid that reeked really bad, and the group Zechariah studied with were laughing at them. He joined in on the laughter.
"You guys weren't kidding, this stuff reeks." He said, wiping a teat from his eye.
"Wait, you set this up!?" Toralei asked, as she was angry of getting wet.
"Yep. Zechariah told us what you said to him, so he thought of a way to get back at you." Frankie said.
"And I gotta admit, it was a really great idea." Clawdeen said, offering a fistbump to Zechariah, which he returned.
"You will all pay for this! Especially you, you freaking Normie!" Torelei yelled, as she stormed off with her friends. Zechariah and his friends had a great laugh when they stormed off.
"Nobody messes with our friend and gets away with it." Clawdeen said, which Zechariah gave her a sly grin.
"Friend, huh? I didn't know you cared so much for me." He joked.
"Don't push it." Clawdeen said, giving Zechariah a light jab on the arm, while also giving him a smile. Zechariah chuckled, while rubbing lightly where she jabbed him.
"At least we know you're getting used to me, at least that's something." He told her.
"Yeah. A couple weeks ago you hardly wanted anything to do with him." Frankie said.
"At least I can change, unlike a certain someone." Clawdeen said, refering to Toralei.
"True." Frankie said, which everyone also agreed. That's when the bell ringed, as everyone went off to classes.
Alright, I think I will leave this here. Looks like Toralei tried causing trouble as usual, but things worked out in the end. Now I'm going to take a break from this story, as I wanna finish chapters for my other stories and I will be focusing on my Dragon Ball story after that, as I keep thinking of ideas for that story. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter and have a great day.
