Welcome to another chapter update of SCP: Tides of Bonds! Here, not much action, save for the end of it, but! We are nearing the good stuff to come for this story here~ Do read and enjoy it~
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or Kingdom Hearts. I do not own Guthrie and I kind of own Allen.
*OPENING*
(Lala intro)
(Xion and Guthrie come down sliding panels one at a time, followed by Nami next to Xion and Ussop next to Guthrie. Nami shows the Log Pose to Xion, telling her where to go, while Usopp looks pompous while Guthrie shrugs his demeanor. Nami and Ussop are replaced by Zoro and Sanji respectively, and glare daggers at one another as Xion and Guthrie push them away from another. The two are replaced by Chopper and Robin respectively. Chopper dives into Xion's arms as she does a spin hug with him, while Guthrie observes the book Robin is reading with interest. The two are replaced by Allen and Chirithy, with Allen patting Xion's back, grinning at her as she blushes a bit, while Chirithy stands on a barrel, both he and Guthrie causing sparks to shoot at each other from their eyes. The two disappear, and Luffy appears between Xion and Guthrie, grabbing their shoulders and pulling them in as he grins. The two look at one another, and grin, as the background scene shifts to them being on the Going Merry, with the rest of the crew behind them.)
Hello, goodbye to repetition
We cannot be stop
Time to go around to our
Happy days, happy days
(The scene shifts to the sky, with the title of the story appearing)
Hello, goodbye, it cannot be stopped
Because there is desire
(Scene shifts to the Straw Hats on the ship, with Luffy Ussop fishing, Nami looking at the Log Pose, Zoro sleeping on the crow's nest, Xion helping Chopper with medicine while Chirithy watched, Robin reading her book, Allen practicing his dancing, and Sanji cooking with help from Guthrie.)
It's a journey that does not end
Keeps going, going!
(Xion steps back, wiping her forehead, then looking ahead to the endless sea beyond, wondering what lies ahead.)
You, are
Being shaken by your ragged feet
(Panning through a screenshot of Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe and Yokozuna, to the Galley-La crew, to the members of the Franky Family, with Franky in front of them, to the masked members of CP9.)
Still, still
No one has much of anything!
(Nico Robin turns and walks away to the tower in Eniss Lobby, with Jabra, Kumadori and Fukuro silhouetted above, followed by Spandam, then Xaldin and Saïx. This shifts to the angered faces of Guthrie, Luffy and Xion.)
I feel like I can fly
I can fly anywhere
Whenever I'm with you
(The trio run through the town of Eniss Lobby, striking numerous marines in their way, while the screen circles around the trio, ending with them standing in the middle of their Straw Hat crew (and Sniper King) on top of the building, facing Robin, Franky and CP9.)
No matter where we are
I feel like I am
Shivering everywhere
(The two Keyblade wielders thrust their Keyblades up at the villains, only to be interfered by the two Organization XIII members. They leap towards them, with Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats following in pursuit. CP9, led by Saïx, Xaldin Leopard Lucci, leap at them, ready to clash.)
Together when I am with you
If you clench strongly
(Through all the battles of the Straw Hats, Second Gear Luffy starts fighting Leopard Lucci, with Xion fighting Saïx as hard as she could.)
No matter what happens
I'm moving forward
(Guthrie fights and parries off Xaldin, calling out to Robin with a free hand raised to her, as she stands there in the pitch black darkness.)
Together when I am with you
If you clench strongly
(Robin looks back at him, then closes her eyes as she recalls the memories of Ohara. A tear falls from her eyes, hitting a ground, which turns the darkness into the open sea and sky. More teardrops fall, forming white birds that represent each Straw Hat as they soar in the sky together.)
No, no
No matter where we are
I feel like I can fly
(The birds fly over the Going Merry, as it sails into the sun, with silhouettes of the Straw Hats smiling and grouped together as they prepared for their adventure.)
Last time:
As she walked back in, the feeling Xion had been feeling during the ride suddenly grew strong, as she turned to the source.
"Hm? What's wrong, Xion?" Luffy asked.
"Something's coming this way!" At her words, everyone in the cart looked at the direction she was looking.
"Is that a bird?" Zambai asked, unfamiliar with the thing flying towards them.
Chirithy took the telescope from Allen's hand and let out a shriek when he got a good close-up view of what was coming their way. "That's no bird! It's a Raging Vulture Heartless with a swarm of Vaporfly!"
The Raging Vulture shot out a pair of blasts from its cannons at Rocketman and just missed the speedy Sea Train. However, the impact from the attack hitting the waves was enough to rock the derailed vehicle around some, with the passengers falling to the floor. Xion and Luffy were the pair unfortunate enough to fall off the roof again. Thankfully, Yokozuna managed to grab Xion, who was grabbed by Luffy's stretchy arm, and thus saved the pair of pirates.
"Thanks for the save!" Xion thanked.
'No problem!' the frog answered.
"This isn't good. Even if Rocketman is a crazy fast train, if he gets hit directly by any more of those, we'll sink!" Kokoro warned.
Xion got on Pegasus's back. "You guys protect the train! Leave the big guy to me! Go, Pegasus!" At her order, the Pegaslick flew towards the Raging Vulture.
"Xion-nee can't do this by herself! She needs help!" Chopper exclaimed.
"I'm going to help Xion! Good luck, guys!" Without another word, Luffy steered his Vaporfly over to the vice-captain.
"You damn bastards! Leave Xion alone!" Once Luffy was close enough, he leapt off the Vaporfly he was riding. "Gomu Gomu no Gattling!" The guy then unleashed a barrage of punches at the swarm of small Heartless, easily obliterating them all.
Xion widened her eyes at how easily the Heartless were taken down. "Those things were actually that weak?! Even though their attacks are actually that strong!" Before she could process the thought even further, Luffy grabbed onto the girl by the shirt and shot himself to her and Pegasus, landing on the latter's back behind the former.
"Okay! I took down the ones that were after you, Xion! Now let's go beat up that big bird!" he ordered.
"Aye-aye, captain!" the vice captain obliged, steering Pegasus over to the Raging Vulture and its remaining Vaporflies. "Pegasus! Get those smaller Heartless off our tails!" Xion ordered.
Upon her command, the Pegaslick brought his focus on the Vaporflies.
"Let's go, Xion!" Luffy ordered, tossing her to the next spike in front of them.
Xion grabbed onto the spike. Once she got a good hold on the thing, she grabbed Luffy's arm and tossed the rubberman to the spike in front of her. One he got a good grip on that spike, Luffy tossed Xion to the final spike in front of him. Just as she grabbed hold of it, as if sensing the pirate just within reach of attacking it, the Heartless turned its head completely 180 and screeched at her face.
The screech was loud enough to make Xion and Luffy's ears hurt, but not enough to force either to release their grip. Once the screech was over, the vice captain made her move. "Go, Luffy!" She tossed her captain to the head, he who was more than prepared to deal the pain.
"Gomu Gomu no Stamp Gatling!" Luffy unleashed a barrage of kicks at the Heartless, knocking its head around some. The Raging Vulture reared its head back, avoiding the remaining kicks.
The Heartless then performed a strong barrel roll and forcing the pirates off and making them free fall.
"Whoa! We're falling!" Luffy shouted.
"Gomu Gomu no Amidori!" The pirate captain stretched his arm out to one of the Vaporflies near them. Once he got a hold of it, he pulled it close to them and got on. "And Gomu Gomu no..." He pulled his arm back... the very arm that held Xion in it, to the girl's fear.
"Huh? Wait! What are you-?!"
"Lasso!" Next Xion knew, her captain tossed her to another Vaporfly near them, to her fright. It may be to use it as a ride like he did, but to be tossed so suddenly like so, no normal person would be calm enough to follow that up. Instead, she struck the Heartless head-first, and as it was one of the several Vaporflies that was weakened by battling Pegasus, it got knocked out.
After a number of tosses and headbutts, and brain cells undoubtedly loss, Xion's Pegaslick, finally done with the Vaporflies it was fighting, swooped down and saved its wielder from the possibly never ending fate. As soon as it got her on its back, it let out a light glow via Regen, helping Xion recover her strength and heal.
"Ow... Thank you, Pegasus..." she thanked, feeling some freedom from her waist as Luffy unwrapped his arm around her.
Back with the Raging Vulture, with its Vaporfly minions distracting those protecting Rocketman, it prepared its cannons for another powerful attack. Just as the Heartless was about to fire, a powerful blast struck its back, cancelling the energy in the cannons. It looked behind and saw Pegasus speeding towards it.
"Okay, Luffy. You got the plan, right?" Xion asked, standing on top of her Dream Eater. Luffy was about to respond, when the girl leapt off the Pegaslick. "Okay, Heartless! Take this!" She tossed Luffy right at the Raging Vulture, specifically the head.
The Heartless turned to the pair of pirates once more and prepared to unleash more flames when... "Gomu Gomu no Snap Trap!" Luffy wrapped his arms and legs around its beak, keeping it shut and preventing it from breaking out any more fire. "Xion, now!"
"In a heavy rain like this... Let's see you survive this! Thunder Surge!" Cloaking herself in electricity, Xion rushed right into the Raging Vulture. Due to the rain, the attack was stronger than usual, as the Heartless let out a muffled screech in pain. "Not yet! Thunder Blast!" She followed it up with a lightning spin attack. "Thunder Slam!" Followed by an electrifying smack to the head. "And Thundaga!" With a backflip off the Heartless, Xion finished off the combo by summoning a powerful wave of lightning bolts from the sky, which struck the Raging Vulture head on.
Pegasus caught its Keyblade wielder again. Xion righted herself on its back and jumped off it once more. "One more HIT!" She struck the Heartless right on the emblem on its chest. The final strike caused it to glow pink and implode. A crystalized heart emerged from its body before disappearing, as did the Heartless itself.
"Kokoro-san! I see a suitable current! 8 o'clock!" Nami informed.
"Okay! We've fallen quite behind, haven't we? Time to make up for the lost time!" Kokoro said, steering Rocketman to the current the Straw Hat navigator spoke of.
As they rest from their fight against the Heartless on Rocketman, Xion is seen sitting on the floor, a pack of ice on her head as she used Cure to heal herself from the... beating earlier.
"God, it still hurts..." she muttered.
"After having your head hit those Vaporflies, I'm not surprised," Chirithy said. "By god, what is wrong with your captain?! Has he no brain at all?!"
"True, but considering how we're all doing what we can to save Robin at the moment, you can't say he has no heart," Allen pointed out.
"He's not wrong there," Xion agreed.
"Still, are you going to be okay?" Paulie asked. "It might not be much longer until we get to Enies Lobby."
"I'm sure my head will heal by then."
"We found them!" came Luffy's voice from the outside. "It's the giant Yagara! Oi!"
"Those guys seem dying to get on!" Nami stated. "Time to go greet the Government!"
"Leave it to me!" Kokoro replied through the speakers with a laugh.
Tilestone let out a battlecry as Zambai and Zoro prepared their weapons.
"Yosh! Enies Lobby is in sight! Prepare for the showdown!" Zambai exclaimed.
As soon as they regrouped with the Franky Family, aboard the cart that was near the group were Sanji and Usopp. The latter was wearing a mask and a red cape, but the group knew it was him. ... Well, almost all of them knew it was Usopp behind the mask.
Luffy and Chopper both looked at him with wide, sparkling eyes, especially after the song Usopp had gone and sang for them to introduce himself as-
"Sogeking of Sniper Island?!" Luffy and Chopper gasped out.
"Correct! I am Usopp-kun's good friend," Usopp lied, even changed the tone of his voice to convince the pair of his lie. "I am here because he asked me to help you."
"H-He's a hero! I thought so from the start because of your cape!" the rubberman exclaimed. "Awesome! I've never seen a hero before!"
"I see. He's a hero because he wears a cape!" Chopper said.
"That's right! Even caped baboons are heroes!"
"Really?!"
"Yeah! Anything wearing a cape is a hero!"
Meanwhile, everyone else just stared at 'Sogeking' with neutral expressions. "Isn't that Usopp?" Zoro whispered.
"It's Usopp," Xion confirmed.
"I'm glad he's okay," Nami said.
"Why is he wearing that disguise?" Allen asked.
"Still ashamed for leaving, I guess?" Guthrie assumed.
"Probably," Chirithy agreed.
"It's the Long Nose who rushed the Franky House," Zambai remembered.
"It's the Long Nose arrested with Aniki- waina," Mozu added.
"Yeah," Kiwi agreed.
"P-Please to meet you!" Luffy greeted, holding a hand out for a handshake, in which Usopp accepted.
"It's that guy from the Shift Station," Chimney said, also not falling for the disguise. Gonbe meowed in agreement, not falling for it as well.
"Could you sign this?" Chopper asked Usopp, in which the guy accepted.
"So then, where'd Usopp go?" Luffy asked him.
"He is safe. Don't worry about him," 'Sogeking' answered. "Anyway, he said that we should put all our effort into rescuing Robin-kun. Right?"
"Yeah. That's the plan."
"Wh-Where is Sniper Island?" Chopper asked.
After signing on the pad, Usopp paused. "Ah yes... I was born... It's inside... your very hearts..." Both Chopper and Luffy couldn't help but be in awe that such a place existed... when it doesn't.
"Are those two serious?" Chirithy asked, as the trio started to sing the song Usopp was singing just earlier.
"Do you have to ask?" Xion asked back, for the trio were getting into the song.
"Nami-san. Xion-san," Sanji called.
"What is it, Sanji-kun?" Nami asked.
"The rest of you dumbasses, too." That got everyone, including the singing trio's attention. "Before we go rescue Robin-chan, there's something you have to hear."
From the way Usopp looked down at those words, he seems to know what Sanji was speaking of, and it was far from good.
Sanji told the group what happened to them on the cart before the split, before he and Usopp lost Robin from CP9 and the Organization's clutches once more. As it turns out, Robin's situation was far worse than they had thought. As it had turned out, Robin chose to go with them... all to protect her friends from the tragedy that will come should she stay. The very tragedy that erased her home island from many maps.
"So there you have it," Sanji finished. "Those CP9 guys are controlling Robin by using her childhood fear against her. I'm not trying to justify losing her, though. I'm just making it clear that even if we march in there to get her back, that doesn't necessarily mean she'll be willing to return with us."
Xion felt frustrated. All this time, when Robin was thought to have betrayed them, she was totally unable to save her, due to the weakness she had against her own darkness. She made it impossible for the rest of the team to go and save Robin, the person who needed to be saved the most, because she was out of control. Xion had to redeem herself, and find a way to control her darkness in order to save her crew member.
"LIKE ANY OF THAT MATTERS!" Luffy roared, furious after hearing that story, as was Chopper. "I WON'T STAND FOR THIS! ROBIN!"
Nami smacked the back of his head, as she barked, "Why not?!"
"Because! I don't get why she's refusing to be saved!" Luffy reasoned.
"She's worried about what will happen to us after we save her!" Nami defended.
"We don't know what will happen! If we don't rescue her, she'll be killed?! There's no way she wants to die, so we gotta save her!"
"Of course, she doesn't want to die, but-!"
"Give it up. This doesn't change what we have to do," Zoro stopped her, as Luffy walked off.
"Zoro's right. We're still going to save her. What happens after... we'll think of it on the way. That's how it's always been here, hasn't it? Or am I overthinking it because of how our captain is?" Allen asked.
"Well, you're not wrong," Xion confirmed.
Nami looked to Guthrie, wanting him to at least help her reason with Luffy about Robin's situation, as their dear captain didn't seem to understand how their sacrificing crew member felt about the situation. The guy just sat there, his eyes shadowed, not saying a word since they listened to Sanji's story. However, the emotional aura coming off of him at this point was so potent, that it made the rest of the crew near him almost unable to breath.
"Luffy is in the right, though," he spoke. "True, CP9 and the Organization are using emotional trauma tactics to pin Robin into a corner, and placed her in this state of mind. However, the fact that she had not called out to us, her dear friends, is just stupid." Guthrie looked up with a glare, as his stomach felt like it was in knots at how angry he was, but continued to be calm. "I never thought I would put the words 'Robin' and 'stupid' into the same sentence when speaking about her, but that's exactly what she is. As someone who cares for her, and as the ship's counselor, I cannot abide by her wishes, even if she hates me forever for it. She is suffering, and I won't stand for this unless I save her from herself, and from her fears."
The words he said sank into everyone's heart. Xion was especially fully agreeing with his words. She was the vice-captain, and felt she and Luffy should be taking this task greater than anyone else. However it was Guthrie that was taking it more personally than anyone else. Chirithy could sense this, and despite his grudge against Guthrie from before, and his belief that Xion is still more important than Robin, he felt that this was a sense of duty his master couldn't walk away from. This was something they had to do for Robin.
Allen patted Guthrie's shoulder, who looked to him, as he gave a confident smile. "We'll save her, Guthrie. We all know how important she is as a crew member. We won't stop chasing after her until she comes back to us," he assured. Guthrie nodded in approval, before standing up onto his feet, taking a deep breath to quell the anger he had.
Nami also took a breath. As much as she wanted to beat into Luffy's head some consideration to Robin's situation, she knew just from how the guy is grumbling about testing some new moves that he was more than ready to take on what comes next.
"Take a look at this, guys," Paulie called to them. "I came here once to perform maintenance on the tracks. My memory is a bit hazy, but this is the basic layout of Enies Lobby." He placed down a drawn map of their destination. "The Gate of Justice is at the back of the island. It can only be accessed through the judiciary tower."
"What's all that black stuff?" Luffy asked.
"That's a waterfall."
"A waterfall? Surrounding the island?" Chirithy questioned.
"You'll know when we get there. It's a straight path from the main gate to the Gate of Justice. That's where Nico Robin and Franky are being taken. We could be too late."
"But why?!" Luffy asked. "No matter where they take Robin, we'll just chase them until we get her back!"
"We talked about this before we left Water 7!" Nami scolded.
"The only two destinations beyond the gate are the Marine Headquarters and an underwater prison," Xion reminded. "Therefore if we want to get Robin back, it has to be before they cross that gate."
"That's right," Paulie said. "However, even if we all storm the island, the only ones who stand a chance against CP9 and those Organization bastards are you guys. Your strength has become pretty clear since we boarded this train. So, you should wait at sea for five minutes, then charge from the main gate to the central island on Rocketman!"
"The rest of us will go on ahead and open the main and central gates for you," Zambai added. "After that, no matter how many of us are defeated, you should ignore us and push forward! We have at most sixty men. They'll have two or three thousand; too many to fight off. At any rate, you guys should ignore unnecessary fighting and go straight for CP9 and the Organization!"
"Right! I got it!" Luffy answered.
For some reason, Xion was unsure of his response there. 'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?' she wondered.
"All right, guys! We're almost there!" Kokoro called through the speakers. "Take a good look at the sky beyond Enies Lobby." The group all did as told and saw something off about the blue sky beyond. If anything, parts of the sky seemed darker compared to the rest, and it wasn't because of the clouds. "That's the Gate of Justice!"
At those words, some of the Franky Family couldn't help but voice out their surprise at the apparently, extremely large gate. "IT'S HUGE!"
"It never opens fully. when criminals are taken through, they only crack it open. And beyond the gate, a huge Sea King breeding ground cuts across the Grand Line, much like the Calm Belt. A normal ship would never survive. I don't know how they did it, but the Marines have a safe way to traverse it. That means just as the two pirate girls said, if you're going to go after the prisoners, it has to be before they pass through that gate! Alright, this is no time to lounge around!"
As she said that, the Franky Family and Galley-La shipwrights walked to the exit. "Okay! We'll go on ahead as planned!" Zambai said. "We've got your backs!"
Of course, they weren't the only ones by the exit, as two members were not suppose to be among the group. "Oi! You two are coming with us!" Zoro shouted, pointing at Nami and Usopp who were with the decoys.
Unfortunately... those two weren't the only ones who weren't where they should be... As Nami and Ussop regretfully joined the rest of the crew, Chopper suddenly realized someone else was not amongst them. "Hey, where's Luffy?" he asked.
"Huh? He was just here..." Nami recalled.
"I don't see Guthrie here, either," Allen also noticed.
It took a few seconds before they all realized where they must've went.
"Oh no... They didn't..." Xion growled, and she started to make her way outside.
At this point, Luffy was standing on the front of the train, looking at the entrance to Eniss Lobby. Guthrie had just joined his side at this point.
"You know what the plan was, right?" he asked his captain.
"Yep," the rubberman answered.
"And you're still gonna go in first, aren't you?"
"Yep."
Luffy grasped the pipes of the sea train on one side, and pulled himself back, ready to launch himself. Just then, Guthrie grabbed his shoulders, wrapping his arms underneath his armpits. Luffy looked back, wondering if he was gonna stop him, but what he said was the opposite. "Take me with you. I have to save Robin." Luffy grinned and nodded.
"LUFFY! GUTHRIE!" The two flinched and became scared as they saw Xion crawling herself up to the top of the train, glaring at them.
"Uh-oh..." Luffy muttered, fearing what she would do to them.
"Go, go, go!" Guthrie ordered hastily, and the two launched away, leaving a baffled Xion to watch them leave. Luffy grabbed the iron fence bars, holding himself from dropping him or Guthrie into the sea.
"What's going on up there?!" Nami demanded to Xion.
"Those idiots are making their way to Eniss Lobby by themselves!" she angrily answered.
"WHAAAAAAAT?!" exclaimed the rest of the team.
"What the hell are those two doing?!" Paulie demanded.
"Those two didn't understand the plan at all!" Zambai realized.
"Oh, they did. I think they just don't care," Chirithy scoffed. "That idiot partner of mine... What the hell?!"
"It's useless..." Nami sighed, falling to her knees next to a shocked, jaw-dropped Chopper.
"Luffy did say, 'Right. I got it', didn't he?" Sanji questioned.
"He just can't wait five minutes," Ussop stated.
"And Robin has been on Guthrie's mind quite a bit..." Allen added.
"You guys are probably right..." Zoro grimaced.
Kokoro was laughing at the two's impatient actions. "What a pair of hotheads," she said.
"Whoo! Go, pirate guys!" Chimney cheered with Gonbe.
Outside, Xion barked, "Get back here, you two! I won't tolerate you guys jumping the gun!"
On the fence bars, while hanging on to his captain, Guthrie managed to cover Luffy's ears. "Don't listen to her, Luffy. Let's clear a path for the others, and make our way to Robin!"
"Right. Hang on!" Luffy told him, reaching the top of the iron picket fence. With both Guthrie re-tightening his grip on Luffy, and Luffy doing the same with the bar, he pushed himself back, stretching himself as far back as he could. "Gomu Gomu no Rocket!" he shouted, launching himself and Guthrie sky-high, and reaching one of the marine flag poles on top of the first main gate.
Xion gaped at the two's actions, then she gritted her teeth let out a growl. "When I get my hands on them... Alright, I'm gonna make sure they don't do anything more stupid than they are now!"
"What?! You can't be serious!" Nami exclaimed.
"Come back in, Xion-swan~" Sanji swooned.
"Let me join you!" Chirithy demanded, disappearing in a puff of smoke and reappearing on Xion's shoulder. "I got a thing or two to say to Guthrie."
"Wait in line. Now... Summon: Komory Bat!" She summoned her bat Dream Eater. "Link Action: Fly-By Knight!" Fang went to her back and grabbed hold of her, flying her over to where the other two were at, with Chirithy holding onto Xion.
"Is any one of them even caring about the plan we made?!" Nami demanded through fanged teeth.
"Guess we'll just have to make due without any of them," Zoro replied. "Let's get ready! You guys do your parts!"
"Right!" Zambai answered for his group, as he and the shipwrights got on the Franky House. "Sodom! Gomorrah! We'll jump that iron fence and pry that gate open!" The pair of King Bulls neighed in agreement and broke off from Rocketman, charging on forward to their part of the job.
As they began their part, Allen looked out the window to where his fellow Straw Hats went. "Guthrie... Xion... Please don't get yourselves killed," he muttered and prayed.
Up on the flagpole, Guthrie sighed in relief, while Luffy gasped, "Whoa! What's up with this place?!" The counselor looked up, holding onto his western hat as he gasped at the sight. There seemed to be a giant hole in the ocean, with waterfalls all around, going into the seemingly bottomless pit. The land that seemed to connect with the ocean went out over the hole, forming a large circular area with a city-like area, the building mostly clay-colored, and two large, white towers on the far side of where the two were at.
"Whoa! Look at that! What a huge hole! It looks like the island's floating or something!" Luffy stated with excitement.
"How can that place even stand like this?" Guthrie questioned. "It looks like one clean cut can cause the entire island to just fall into the hole..." He then shuddered at the thought. Now he was making foreboding statements like Robin would.
"Looks like there's a town there," Luffy noticed. "I wonder if Robin is down there?"
"My guess is that they took her to those towers over there," Guthrie assumed, pointing at the two towers. "Let's make our way there!"
Suddenly, there was the sound of gunfire from down below, and they looked down. The marine soldiers and government agents were firing up at where they were hanging at. At the same time, Xion, Chirithy, and Fang were just passing over the iron fence, flying towards where they were at.
"Whoops! Guess they spotted us!" Luffy noticed, as the bullets flew past the pair.
"Gee, what was your first guess?" Guthrie asked. "Let's get gooiiiiii-!" His voice became a cry as Luffy shoved off the flagpole, over to the other side of the gate. They fell together, and Guthrie forgot to plan for how to land safely himself. Fortunately, he pulled out his Keyblade and shouted, "Aeroga!" A blast of wind was created from the tip of his weapon that cushioned his fall, and the counselor landed on his feet next to Luffy, who was laughing for some reason as they charged ahead.
"Damn it! They're going further in!" Xion growled. "Let's catch up to them, now!" Fang screeched as it flew faster, avoiding gunfire that was starting to target her.
Luffy and Guthrie were nearing the second gate, and saw a group of marine soldiers guarding it. They knew they didn't have time to deal with them, even as two of them slowly came up front, with one of them speaking through a wristwatch transponder snail.
"This is the central island front gate," they heard. "Intruders sighting confirmed. Don't worry, we'll take it from here." He and one of his buddies stepped forward. "Hey there, buddies. That's far enough."
"Do you have the slightest idea where you two are?" his friend asked.
"Don't take one of them lightly!" a voice over the transponder snail warned, as Luffy leapt up and Guthrie readied his Keyblade. "Unless my eyes deceive me, then I'm pretty sure one of them is the pirate 'Straw-Hat' Luffy!"
The warning was too late, as Luffy stamped the two marine soldiers in the face with his stretched sandals. At the same time, Guthrie unleashed a Strike Raid that sent two more scattering.
"What?! What was that you just said?!" another marine demanded through his own communicator.
"The man with the 100 million belli bounty!" the person on the other side answered. "It is him: Straw-Hat Luffy, and a member of his crew! And what's more, 'Starlight Blade' Xion with the 98 million belli bounty has just flown over the gate, and is approaching your position, too!"
"Not good!" the marine gasped, but before he could move any further, he noticed that Luffy and Guthrie had just cleared the path of any solders, and the latter had just reached him.
"Where's Nico Robin?!" Guthrie demanded, slamming him with his Keyblade, and sent him flying into another soldier behind him.
"Tell me where Robin is, right now!" Luffy roared, unleashing a gatling of punches onto the soldiers.
