*OPENING*
(Lala intro)
(Xion and Guthrie come down sliding panels one at a time, followed by Nami next to Xion and Ussop next to Guthrie. Nami shows the Log Pose to Xion, telling her where to go, while Usopp looks pompous while Guthrie shrugs his demeanor. Nami and Ussop are replaced by Zoro and Sanji respectively, and glare daggers at one another as Xion and Guthrie push them away from another. The two are replaced by Chopper and Robin respectively. Chopper dives into Xion's arms as she does a spin hug with him, while Guthrie observes the book Robin is reading with interest. The two are replaced by Allen and Chirithy, with Allen patting Xion's back, grinning at her as she blushes a bit, while Chirithy stands on a barrel, both he and Guthrie causing sparks to shoot at each other from their eyes. The two disappear, and Luffy appears between Xion and Guthrie, grabbing their shoulders and pulling them in as he grins. The two look at one another, and grin, as the background scene shifts to them being on the Going Merry, with the rest of the crew behind them.)
Hello, goodbye to repetition
We cannot be stop
Time to go around to our
Happy days, happy days
(The scene shifts to the sky, with the title of the story appearing)
Hello, goodbye, it cannot be stopped
Because there is desire
(Scene shifts to the Straw Hats on the ship, with Luffy Ussop fishing, Nami looking at the Log Pose, Zoro sleeping on the crow's nest, Xion helping Chopper with medicine while Chirithy watched, Robin reading her book, Allen practicing his dancing, and Sanji cooking with help from Guthrie.)
It's a journey that does not end
Keeps going, going!
(Xion steps back, wiping her forehead, then looking ahead to the endless sea beyond, wondering what lies ahead.)
You, are
Being shaken by your ragged feet
(Panning through a screenshot of Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe and Yokozuna, to the Galley-La crew, to the members of the Franky Family, with Franky in front of them, to the masked members of CP9.)
Still, still
No one has much of anything!
(Nico Robin turns and walks away to the tower in Eniss Lobby, with Jabra, Kumadori and Fukuro silhouetted above, followed by Spandam, then Xaldin and Saïx. This shifts to the angered faces of Guthrie, Luffy and Xion.)
I feel like I can fly
I can fly anywhere
Whenever I'm with you
(The trio run through the town of Eniss Lobby, striking numerous marines in their way, while the screen circles around the trio, ending with them standing in the middle of their Straw Hat crew (and Sniper King) on top of the building, facing Robin, Franky and CP9.)
No matter where we are
I feel like I am
Shivering everywhere
(The two Keyblade wielders thrust their Keyblades up at the villains, only to be interfered by the two Organization XIII members. They leap towards them, with Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats following in pursuit. CP9, led by Saïx, Xaldin Leopard Lucci, leap at them, ready to clash.)
Together when I am with you
If you clench strongly
(Through all the battles of the Straw Hats, Second Gear Luffy starts fighting Leopard Lucci, with Xion fighting Saïx as hard as she could.)
No matter what happens
I'm moving forward
(Guthrie fights and parries off Xaldin, calling out to Robin with a free hand raised to her, as she stands there in the pitch black darkness.)
Together when I am with you
If you clench strongly
(Robin looks back at him, then closes her eyes as she recalls the memories of Ohara. A tear falls from her eyes, hitting a ground, which turns the darkness into the open sea and sky. More teardrops fall, forming white birds that represent each Straw Hat as they soar in the sky together.)
No, no
No matter where we are
I feel like I can fly
(The birds fly over the Going Merry, as it sails into the sun, with silhouettes of the Straw Hats smiling and grouped together as they prepared for their adventure.)
Last time:
"I thought you were gonna stay and go along with the plan the others had?" Guthrie questioned Xion.
"Yeah, the plan that included you guys staying on the Sea Train, too!" she barked at him.
"I hate to break this little argument, but you do realize Luffy is back on the ground down below, with a swarm of Marines and Government agents surrounding him." Chirithy stated.
"Oi! Straw Hat Luffy! How many friends did you bring with you?" a Marine mocked. "Enies Lobby has tens of thousand soldiers!"
"Well, looks like I'm alone," Luffy answered. He then cracked his knuckles and demanded, "Out of the way!"
The moment he said that, a pair of individuals crash landed on the ground amongst the horde of Marines and Government agents, sending a good portion of the enemy flying about, as well as picking up a bunch of dust in the air, concealing the causes.
Just then, from one smoke, flames bursted out, forcing some Marines away as to not get burned. The flames were followed by a certain weapon tossed out and striking down several soldiers. From the other smoke, something, someone, jumped out of it, cloaked in lightning, and dove back down, unleashing an electrifying shockwave that knocked down some soldiers.
"I-It's Starlight Blade Xion!" a Marine screamed.
"Who is that guy with them?!" an agent questioned.
"Why the hell is there a dragon on their side?!" another Marine asked.
Sanji did them a favor and poked his head out the window. "Oi, shitty swordsman! Did something happen?"
"The Main Gate was closed," Zoro answered.
Sanji widened his eyes in shock. "What was that?!"
He wasn't the only one who heard the answer. "This is bad! We'll get crushed!" Usopp panicked.
"What do we do?! What do we do?!" Chopper asked, also freaking out.
"Dodge it, Kokoro-san!" Nami cried out.
"Zoro! You have an idea, right? Right?!" Allen questioned.
What was heard next from Zoro's mouth was the unexpected, though. "Break down that fence, frog!"
While his comrades on the train questioned his order, Yokozuna was more than happy to oblige. As Rocketman closed in on the fence, Yokozuna clapped his hands twice and bent his knees. Once the sea train got close enough, the instant it was close enough, Yokozuna thrusted both his arms out and struck the iron bars. Thanks to the speed Rocketman was going, enough force was added to the thrust to push the fence down.
Not long after she said that, Rocketman, using the bars as makeshift train tracks, climbed up the fence and flew... over the gate.
Feeling themselves airborne, Allen, Usopp, and Chopper hung on to something, while Nami and Sanji were flying about in the cart.
"We're gonna die!" Usopp cried out.
"What?! We're gonna die?!" Chopper asked.
"We're not going to die! Probably!" Allen answered.
"Nami-san~! Hurry up and come to my chest~!" Sanji called to the crying navigator.
"Don't you think I have enough problems at the moment, idiot?!" Nami shouted. She looked out the window and called out to a certain swordsman, "Zoro! You really do have a plan, right?!"
"Of course!" Zoro answered. Nami and the rest of the crew, who were also looking out the window at the guy, sighed in relief. "... We fall." Until that.
"LIKE HELL WE ARE!" they all shouted, screaming as Rocketman continued on towards the Central Gate.
"I won't forgive you... I will definitely not forgive you!" Oimo declared.
Unfortunately for him, and fortunately for the shipwrights and dismantlers, a certain sea train crashed onto his back and knocked him back down and out. To see a sea train arrive from the sky was a massive surprise for the Law's Guard Unit, Marines, and Government agents, as it landed roughly on the ground.
"Wh-What the-?! Rocketman just... fell from the sky!" Zambai gasped.
Some of the Marines and agents approached the train, wondering what happened to the people inside. Suddenly, the soldiers near the train were all sent flying away from the train, much to the shock of everyone else.
Emerging from the smoke were three certain individuals.
"Hey. Should we have greeted them first?" Zoro asked Sanji and Allen.
"Don't look at me. I was just following you two's lead," the Shandian said.
"Don't be absurd. As it we need to," Sanji told them.
"It's one of Straw Hat's friends!" an agent called.
"Man, these stupid guys keep getting in our way! And I haven't found Robin in any of these buildings!" Luffy exclaimed, as he and Guthrie went back-to-back and stared down at the dozens of soldiers around them.
Just then, four burly Marines rushed at the pair with a spear, a cutlass, a flail, and bronze knuckles together, ready to take them out.
"You're done!" the flail-user shouted, and the pirates readied for combat.
Suddenly, their feet all caught onto something, and they fell as one, the impact of their heads hitting the ground hard knocking them out. Next everyone knew, thorny vines appeared out of the ground and knocked out the rest of the Marines and agents in the area.
"Huh? What's going on?" Luffy asked.
"I don't know," Guthrie answered.
Out of nowhere, there was a puff of pink smoke, and the two were startled to see a Dream Eater appear before them. It was a plant-like species, one that looked rather cheery, with blooming petals on its head and antennae popped on top.
"A plant monster?" Luffy questioned, looking at the creature.
"You won't get away!"
Suddenly, Xion found herself surrounded by Marines and Government agents, and she hadn't been paying attention to notice them appearing. She grimaced at her unawareness, and decided to ignore the presence she was feeling, for right now, clearing out the enemy was much more important.
High above her, looking down at the scene, was the very presence she was feeling. It was a small Dream Eater, who looked like a plant, similar to the one leading Luffy and Guthrie. Apart from the base and leafy hands, it had throned horns on its head. Unlike the one leading the boys, this one looked malicious, but the feelings it had weren't so.
'Please... Go and save her...' it spoke, looking at Xion taking out the Marines and agents with her Keyblade.
With Luffy and Guthrie, the pair continued to follow the new plant-based Dream Eater that helped them out with some Marines minutes earlier. After several minutes of running with the Spirit, along with taking out the many authorities trying to shoot or cut them down, Guthrie and Luffy found themselves a little more than halfway across Eniss Lobby, at possibly the tallest building that wasn't white, with an arch and a bell on top.
"Why'd you bring us up here?" Guthrie questioned the little flower Spirit.
"Want us to ring the bell?" Luffy asked, about to pull the cord to ring it.
"And get more attention than what we have already gotten? No way!" the counselor argued.
"They're up there!" the two heard the enemy shouting from down below.
"They have nowhere to run!" another voice added.
"Crap, they're catching up to us!" Guthrie grimaced.
"Can't they leave us alone?!" Luffy demanded. "We gotta get to Robin, quick!"
The flower Spirit drew the attention of the pair, and they saw it had produced vines on either side of the arch, and held onto each end, like it became a slingshot. Or rather... It took the boys a couple seconds to realize why they were brought up here in the first place.
"Oh! That's brilliant!" Guthrie exclaimed. "There's no interference for us rocketing to that building from here!"
"Alright, I got it!" Luffy declared, grabbing ahold of the arch like the Dream Eater did, and pulling himself back as far as he could. Guthrie got onto his back, and the Spirit climbed onto his. "Here we go! Gomu Gomu no Rocket!" The trio were sent flying into the air, with Guthrie suddenly wondering where on the building they were gonna land.
The Marines and Cipher Pole agents finally reached the top, and looked about the place. "Where did they go?!" An agent questioned.
"They must've jumped back down when we weren't looking! Go find them!" Another agent assumed, and they left the scene, unaware of what really happened.
With the Straw Hat reinforcements group, they were making their way to where Luffy and Guthrie were. Or at least, where they last were.
"I'm sure he went this way," Zoro said, a little ahead of the group.
"You shouldn't be in front," Sanji said, for a good reason.
"Why not?!"
"Do we really need to answer that?" Allen asked.
"Don't bother," Nami told him. "In any case, it'll be fine so long as we go straight."
Unknown to them, another group was sneakily going on ahead to cut them off.
"Seriously, when is that idiot going to learn to not charge in by himself?" Zoro questioned.
"Well, we're just as idiotic for chasing after him," Sanji stated.
"Either way, it's thanks to Luffy, Guthrie, and Xion that the soldiers are all distracted. It's a straight path to the courthouse from here!" Nami informed.
"W-Wait. I'm having a relapse!" Usopp spoke.
"You can stay if you wanna die."
"I'm cured!"
"Good."
Allen sweatdropped slightly at this. Even in a disguise, Usopp was still Usopp.
Suddenly, Zoro came to a stop, resulting in the others stopping in their tracks.
"What is it?" Nami asked him.
"... We've got guests," the swordsman answered with a smirk.
On cue, footsteps were heard, and appearing before them was none other than the Law's Watch Dog Unit.
"We are the Law's Watch Dog Unit, tasked with defending the gates," the leader declared. "Not a single person is getting through us! Surrender now, scoundrels!"
Sanji took a nice smoke. "Policemen on dogs, huh," he calmly spoke.
"It's not just us." Just as the leader said that, more footsteps were heard, and the pirates found themselves surrounded by Marines and government agents.
"We're surrounded!" Allen gasped.
"There's too many of them!" Nami and Usopp panicked in unison.
The leader of the Watch Dog Unit laughed at their expense. "It's time for you to pay, pirates!"
Despite the disadvantage in numbers, Zoro only grinned and said, "Is that so?"
The smug look and question served to annoy the guy. "I'll flog that big mouth of yours! Men! Aft-!" Before he could finish his command, tremors were felt, and something popped out of the alley nearby. That something was none other than one of the Franky Family's King Bulls, with Paulie, Lulu, and Tilestone on top of it.
"Grab on!" Paulie tossed his rope down at the group, in which they grabbed. Well, they minus Usopp, who got his neck wrapped by the rope instead.
Once they grabbed the end of the rope, Paulie reeled them all in, and they all landed on the saddle.
"Hey. You could've let us have some fun?" Sanji questioned.
"Idiot! This isn't the time to fool around!" Paulie told him.
"He's right. It'll take forever if we faced that many," Allen pointed out.
"Nice try! But don't think you can outrun us on some fish!" came a familiar voice.
Chopper looked down and saw the Watch Dog Unit chasing them. "Oh no! They're gonna jump up here!" he warned.
"No way!" Nami gasped.
Just as Sanji got up to take care of the persistent guys, Paulie called out to him. "Hey, chef guy."
Sanji walked over to him. "What's up?"
"Take the reins," Paulie said, handing the blonde the reins controlling the King Bull.
Sanji was going to ask why give him the reins, when he realized the rope user and the other shipwrights' true intentions and sat down.
"If you see those guys... Tell them 'you're fired'," Paulie requested.
"Sure will," Zoro accepted.
At his words of confirmation, the trio jumped down and intercepted the Watch Dogs.
Meanwhile, with Xion, she and Chirithy found themselves surrounded by more agents. And so to say, they were annoying the Keyblade wielder to no end.
"These guys are like roaches!" she exclaimed.
"You're telling me! We'll never catch up to-!"
"Luffy, how do we laaaaaaaaand?!" a scream was heard.
Everyone paused at the voice and saw, to their bafflement, a certain pair of individuals flying over their heads and towards a certain large building at a distance.
"... Was that-?"
"Yes," Chirithy interrupted Xion, knowing so well what she was going to ask.
"Did they really-?"
"Yes."
"Ever get the feeling that-"
"For a while now, yes."
"I see..."
It was nothing but silence then. Upon seeing the girl more baffled than the rest, though, the Marines and Government agents jumped at her. "Now's our chance!" they shouted.
"Like hell it is! Graviga!" At that word, Xion increased the gravity in the area, and thus caused the Marines in the area to get slammed face-first into the ground.
"Whoa! That's gotta hurt..." Chirithy said.
"Come on. We need to catch up." At those words, before the Marines could recover from the sudden face-fault, Xion rushed to where her captain and counselor were at, stepping on some Marines in the holes. "Sorry, not."
Meanwhile, the very thorny Dream Eater observing Xion continued to follow her in the shadows. 'Please... Save her, Keyblade wielder.'
Back to the rest of the crew, Sodom and Gomorrah the King Bulls continued making their way past the many Marines before them. Many of the soldiers ran from the pair, not wanting to get squished under their weights, while others tried to shoot the pair or the passengers from afar. Sadly for them, the bullets weren't reaching their targets, nor did they bother the King Bulls so much. The Franky Family, all on Gomorrah, were all shooting their own bullets at the enemies, while the Straw Hats on Sodom, with the exception of Sanji who was still on the reins, did what they could to get any Marines climbing on their bull off it.
"This is perfect! Keep it up! Take us to Luffy, King Bull!" Sanji ordered.
And of course, the pair happily obliged. Sodom then turned his head back, looking at the pirates and trying to speak to them. Chopper, being the only one to understand animals, heard him out. As they were only going straight anyway, there was no problem with a little chat.
"Hey, guys! Sodom and Gomorrah are brothers who were once swallowed by a Sea King, but were saved by the Franky Family in the nick of time. This is what they said, 'We're full already, so we won't eat you!' From that point on, they swore loyalty to Franky, their savior!" Sodom let out a neigh-like sound in confirmation.
"Hold on. They just happened to be in the stomach of a Sea King the Franky Family killed. It was a coincidence," Sanji stated.
"Pretty much," Nami agreed.
"Ah, it's fine. Besides, they would've died if those guys didn't kill it anyway, so you could say they were saved by them," Allen said.
"Well, whatever. Can you watch where you're going? You're making me nervous," Sanji requested Sodom.
The yellow King Bull let out another neigh, in which Chopper translated to, "'I'll follow Franky-Aniki until the day I die!' he said."
"It must feel pretty good, having someone who can understand you."
The two animals let out small laughs at the fact. Sodom then let out more neighs.
"'By the way, was it okay to leave that masked guy who was with you all earlier behind?' he asked," Chopper translated.
At that translation, everyone looked to the back in shock and saw that they were indeed missing a member.
"H-HUUUUUH?! Sogeking is gone!" the man-reindeer gasped.
"Why?! Why?!" Nami questioned.
"Did he fall off?" Zoro wondered.
"Hang on, did he even get on?!" Allen realized.
"Don't tell me he ran away..." Sanji guessed.
Meanwhile, every one of the Marines and Cipher Pole agents were wondering where on the island Luffy and Guthrie were at, since they vanished from their sights. Unbeknownst to them, the particular pairing was dangling from the very top of the courthouse building, having just flown there via Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Rocket, plus Guthrie's Aeroga for good measure. Luffy was dangling at the castle-like ridges of the building from his hands. Guthrie had his Keyblade stabbed into the wall upon impact with the place, and had just flipped himself into a standing position on top of his weapon, placing his hand against the wall. The Dream Eater Spirit that guided them this far was hanging on Guthrie's back, as he looked down at the minuscule people below.
"Damn... I can't believe we're up this high," the counselor muttered, feeling a bit queasy from the height. "I'm actually pretty happy about how far ahead we are."
"Yeah, I know," Luffy agreed, scrambling onto the rooftop.
Guthrie took one bound, and made it onto the ledge. He called his Keyblade back to his hand, before making it vanish. They both looked ahead at the tallest building on the entire island. It was clearly the headquarters of Eniss Lobby.
"This is the last building here, so Robin has to be in there," Luffy summed up.
"Well, buddy?" Guthrie looked at the Spirit on his back. "Is this where Robin is at?" The Spirit nodded in answer to this question. "Guess that settles it. We're heading in there."
"But there doesn't seem to be a bridge," Luffy noticed. "It's pretty far, too. Oh well, we'll try jumping over like before."
Suddenly, Guthrie sensed something. "Before that, we got someone waiting for us, directly in front." They moved away from the edge, as Luffy felt something as well.
"Air Door..." A door suddenly appeared out of thin air, made of white, misty rim, and out of it came the same muscular man with the bull horn hairstyle they met before. One of the members of CP9, Blueno.
"Hey! You're the bull who's working for that stupid pigeon guy!" Luffy barked.
'He created a door out of thin air?' Guthrie noticed. 'It's not like the Organization member's dark portals. It has to be a Devil Fruit power!'
"It seems there are some discrepancies between the report and what actually happened," Blueno understood.
"Whoa! You just appeared out of nowhere!" Luffy exclaimed. "How did you do that? Magic?"
Guthrie almost anime fell at such childish assumption. "It's obviously a Devil Fruit power, duh!" he retorted, angry at Luffy's stupidity now.
"To be honest, it did seem a little suspicious," Blueno continued, paying no mind to the pair. "No way the two of you and Starlight Blade took out only five marines."
"Would you cut the crap?! We didn't come hear to listen to a report on what we already know! Get lost or get pummeled!"
"An invasion like this is unprecedented," Blueno ignored Guthrie's words, continuing to speak. "This is the furthest anyone has ever reached into the mouth of the World Government. But that ends here."
Guthrie readied his Keyblade for battle, while the Spirit leapt off his back, and Luffy curled his fist.
"Outta our way, bull," the pirate captain growled at him.
"This is your last chance," the male Keyblade wielder added.
"Tell me. How long do you plan on fighting?" the CP9 member then questioned them.
There was a moment's pause, as Luffy spread his legs out and placed his hands on his calves. He looked up with a smirk, and answered, "Until we die."
"We know Robin is in that building. No use hiding it from us," Guthrie told him, looking back at the Spirit, who told them.
"Listen, the two of you. Perhaps you haven't realized this, but what you're doing is nothing short of a world-class crime," Blueno started.
There was a moment's pause, as Luffy then growled, "Just get to the point already!"
"The power of the World Government stretches out to more than 170 nations. This island is a symbol of our strength and resolve. An attack on this place is not simply an act of rebellion, but a declaration of war against everyone under our alliance. We are bound by our honor to strike you down. You will not only face a merciless death, but also as an example to the entire world. Your impulsive views don't matter here. You should've thought this out more carefully."
"You know what, we just don't care," Guthrie retorted, stepping forward. "You don't think we thought it through? Then let me exchange one lecture for another; we had plenty of time between here and Water 7 to think about whether we were making the right move or not. However, the answer was clear, no matter the consequences; you stole someone precious to us. A young lady who was condemned as a criminal from the moment she left her home. If you ask me, we're the ones who are in the right here, and you and your stupid World Government are in the wrong. So get out of our way!"
"Whether I move or not doesn't matter here," Blueno retorted. "The point is you condemned yourselves to death. Fighting us is pointless. You only had a taste of our strength at Iceberg's mansion. You cannot defeat our Six Powers. And with the members of the Organization behind us, along with their powers, not even the power of the Keyblade can stop us."
"Nice theory. How about we test it out!" Guthrie roared, dashing in first as Luffy pulled his arm back, spinning it till his arm was tightly wounded. "Aeroga!"
"Tekkai," Blueno's body became sturdy as Guthrie stabbed him into the chest, and unleashed his magic point-blank. Blueno felt the combination of both physical and magic attack merged into one, and was sent flying backwards, quite startled that he was pushed so easily back.
"Gomu Gomu no Rifle!" Luffy suddenly leapt up and thrusted his wound up arm forward, which spun like a drill as it slammed into Blueno, causing him to cough up blood from the power. He tumbled to the ground, but flipped back up onto his feet and skidded to a halt.
'This is impossible!' Blueno mentally exclaimed. 'These two were no where near this strong when we last fought them!'
"Gomu Gomu no Gatling!" Luffy shouted, unleashing a barrage of punches.
"Soru!" Blueno suddenly vanished, moving faster than the normal eye can see to avoid Luffy's attack.
"Sonic Blade!" Guthrie suddenly was flying at Blueno, matching and surpassing his speeds, striking him several times, before his final attack sent him crashing into the structure nearby, causing him to fall to the ground. The two boys came together as Blueno struggled to get back up onto his feet again, glaring at the pair.
"I don't care about your honor, or your government, or whatever crap you spout!" Luffy growled, placing a hand on his straw hat. "All that matters is getting Robin outta here."
Blueno got back up onto his feet, glaring at the pair, wiping the blood coming from his mouth.
"You're not bad," he told them.
"Not bad!?" Luffy echoed angrily.
"He's fooling with us," Guthrie assured him, readying his Keyblade like a kendo fighter. "He felt the pain from our attack. He's merely acting tough."
Up above, in Spandam's office, Xaldin stood there by the window, looking down at the scene before him. He smirked at the sight of Blueno being bested by the pair, then at the two boys themselves.
"It would seem Saix didn't quite realize how tough these 'pirates' are when they become serious. Particularly, the guardian of Xion is also quite a threat when determined. I wonder if his bravado and powers have limits? Let us see..." He snapped his fingers, cuing something to appear.
Suddenly, the flower Spirit began to feel something strong approaching, and cried out to Luffy and Guthrie to watch out. They looked to see it in a panic.
"What's going on with the monster flower?" Luffy asked.
"I don't know..." Guthrie answered, his eyes narrowing. "But it can't be good. Be on guard, Luffy!"
Suddenly, the was a rumbling coming from the side of the building facing the large headquarters tower. Everyone turned and saw something large was climbing the top of the tower. A large hand suddenly raised itself up, and grabbed the ledge of the roof. It was followed by another hand, wielding a large, jagged-bladed axe with a face on it. The axe and arm then pulled the rest of the body up, revealing a monstrous figure. It looked like a troll, with a purple, rock-like body, a steel necklace around its' non-existent neck and arms, oversized gray shoulder-guards with gold rims and stubs, plus a large, curved thorn on each side, muscular black arms with purple arm guards, stubby legs, and his Heartless eyes peering out of a full-helm face.
"A Heartless?! HERE?!" Guthrie exclaimed, seeing the monster roar.
"It's pretty big!" Luffy gasped. "Where did it come from?!"
"Seems like Xaldin couldn't wait to use it on you," Blueno realized, looking at the monster, then at the pair of boys. "He thinks I won't be able to beat the two of you. He is surely mistaken."
Luffy and Guthrie looked at one another, then at the two opponents they had to deal with. It was not a good place for them, right now. Still, they had to act. "I'll handle big and ugly! You handle the bull man!" Guthrie told him, racing to face the giant Heartless.
"Right. You got it!" Luffy understood, cracking his knuckles and preparing to fight Blueno.
From down below, as Xion, the Dream Eaters she had summoned out, and Chirithy finally reached the Courthouse Plaza. There, they heard the sound of destruction coming from up above. A heavy attack suddenly caused part of the rooftop to collapse.
"What in the-!" she gasped, seeing the damage.
"Whoa! What the heck was that?!" Chirithy demanded.
"I don't know... But I have no doubt Luffy and Guthrie are in the middle of that mess." Xion looked back at the plaza, seeing the immense amount of marines standing guard at the gate. "It might get tough if the others get here with this swarm. I'd better clear the area for their arrival. Chirithy, go up there and see if those two nitwits are up there."
"Okay. But I'll come back down if you need extra hands on deck!" Chirithy answered, vanishing into pink mist.
"Now then..." Xion started, crouching down to hide herself and prepare to strike. "How to approach this situation...?" She then suddenly felt a presence right behind her, and turned to see a giant black steel ball on a chain get flung at her. She barely avoided the attack as the floor underneath her was shattered. She looked as she leapt and saw the perpetrator who threw the ball; a muscular monster of a man with little black armor on his body, and a sinister smirk on his face.
"Where did he come from?!" she demanded, landing on the ground next to the building. "He doesn't look like he should be someone I can't fight against."
"Over there!"
"It's 'Starlight Blade' Xion!"
The Marines spotted her through the destruction, and Xion turned to see guns all aimed at her.
"Oh, son of a-!" She started to shout, but the guns started to fire, and she had to shut her mouth and dodge and deflect the bullets.
"Rankyaku!" Blueno unleashed a wave of sharp energy from his foot, nearly striking Luffy and taking out a piece of the terrace. He unleashed another energy wave from his other foot, causing Luffy to spin to avoid getting hit by it. This attack nearly got to Guthrie, causing him to stumble backwards to avoid the hit.
"Hey, watch it!" he shouted at Blueno, before seeing his body shadowed by the massive axe being raised to come down onto him. He regained his footing, and side-stepped the attack as the axe came crashing down at where he was before. The impact caused the roof to crack and give way, creating a decent-sized hole that led to the floor below.
'Crap, that attack was too much!' he thought, upon seeing the attack damage. 'Good thing I'm faster than it!'
"Tekkai: Wheel!" Luffy was running backwards as fast as he could, while avoiding Blueno as his stiffened body had started flipping, his legs spread out as he was in a continuous cartwheel, pushing Luffy backwards to avoid the impact.
Guthrie had skidded to a halt as he suddenly noticed this happening, and saw that they were heading right towards the Heartless, who set his gaze upon Luffy, and readied a horizontal slash with his axe.
"Luffy, look out!" he shouted, running full-pelt at the area Luffy was about to arrive at, and tackled him out of the way, causing the axe of the Heartless to miss Luffy, and instead hit Blueno, making him fly into the wall.
"Phew! That was too close!" Luffy muttered, seeing the damage. "But why are they attacking each other?"
"That CP9 guy doesn't look like he has a dark enough heart to bend the Heartless to his command, so of course they become a danger to him as to us," Guthrie understood.
Blueno grimaced as he rose up from the ground, the impact of the attack hurting him pretty good, despite being in Tekkai.
"It would seem that they didn't tell us how to control these monsters," he himself realized. "I need to be more aware of it attacking me, as well."
The Heartless roared, then slammed his axe on the ground, head-first, hopped onto it, and started pivoting about, creating pieces of rubble that were sent flying all over the place. Luffy and Guthrie both evaded getting hit by the rubble by leaping over them, while Blueno called out, "Door-Door." He suddenly created a trapdoor on the ground shaped like his body, and entered into it, closing the door behind.
"Was that a door on the ground?" Luffy asked, landing away from Guthrie after seeing the bull guy vanish.
"It's his Devil Fruit powers," Guthrie assumed. "He is able to turn things into doors. At least, that's what I expect."
"Door-Door..." Two small parts of the ground near the outsides of Luffy's feet suddenly opened up. Blueno's hands appeared and grabbed Luffy's feet, pulling them into the doors, causing them to be stuck.
"Luffy!" Guthrie called out to him, wary of the ground beneath him after what happened.
He heard the Heartless roar, and saw it stomp towards Guthrie with its axe raised. It unleashed a horizontal swing, in which he evaded by leaping over it. However, he was unprepared for the vertical downward swing afterwards. He placed his Keyblade up as a guard and barely endured the attack, but it still sent him flying upwards, almost making him fly over the gap between the two towers.
"Crap!"
"There's a bunch of little doors around here, too?!" Luffy demanded, struggling to get his feet out, which was difficult with his legs spread. "Dammit, I can't move! This sucks! It's a stupid trick!"
Suddenly, a door shaped like Blueno's body opened up directly in front of Luffy, and he saw the man himself rise up from below.
"You're the one doing this?!" the captain demanded. "Guthrie was right. That is a Devil Fruit power!"
"The Door-Door fruit, naturally," the CP9 agent answered.
"A door-man?"
"Anything I touch turns into doors. Kaiten Door." Blueno swiped his hand across Luffy's face. After a second, the part of his face where his eyes were suddenly swung open, and started spinning about like a revolving door would.
"Wha-wha?! I'm not moving, but I'm spinning!" Luffy exclaimed, his vision becoming a spinning blur, causing him to become dizzy on the spot. "I don't know which way is front! Make it stop!"
'That isn't good!' Guthrie assessing the situation as everything seemed to slow down about him. 'Luffy's helpless thanks to that guy. He'll attack Luffy while he's defenseless. Meanwhile, I'm in midair, and falling to my doom! I just used Aeroga and Sonic Blade, the two moves which would help me here, and none of my other attacks can bring be back to the rooftop!'
His mind recalled when he saw the CP9 agents literally bounce about in the air, as if pushing off solid ground to maneuver in midair. 'If...if only I can do that...' Guthrie told himself, looking to see Blueno about to make a move on Luffy. 'But I can't do it like they can.' It was then he remembered something. Something he had conversed about with one other back on Sky Island, during the post-war party.
*FLASHBACK*
It was Day 3 of the party. Both Guthrie and Xion didn't feel like fooling around, dancing and prancing all day like the others were, and went back to the field where both had agreed to be each other's teachers in their respective part of being Keyblade wielders. While the female of the two couldn't get started with the swordsmanship training yet, the male of the two was good to go in magic training.
Allen and Chirithy both accompanied the pair to their training, also having quite enough of the partying.
"Just aim your magic at that target right there and fire out a spell. Any spell at all," Xion instructed, gesturing to the charred mark on a tree Allen had lightly burnt, upon her request, as there weren't any paint to make a target mark or even place an 'x' mark on the tree.
"I only have just the one. And that spell... it doesn't really quite cover the distance, to say the least," Guthrie said, for the distance between them and said tree was about thirty meters, and the only magic he has covers at least half the distance.
"Just try it out."
At those words, Guthrie aimed his Keyblade at the 'target'. "Aeroga!" He unleashed his Wind Magic at the tree... only for it to die out before even hitting its mark. "See?"
Xion only looked on in thought at the display. "Hmm... Try it again. As many times as you can."
While wondering what the point was in doing so, Guthrie did as requested anyway, hoping maybe there was a point in simply shooting magic at a target he couldn't hit. He maybe a master in swordsmanship, but he at least only has the basic understanding of magic, and hope they would get somewhere with this part of the lesson.
After shooting out about five more Aerogas, Guthrie, exhausted of magic power, lowered his Keyblade, a hand on his knee, and panting in slight exhaustion. "Well? Anything? I didn't hit a single one, you see." Xion only stared at him with a raised brow, confusing the guy. "What?"
"That's all the magic power you have?" she asked.
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"I mean, if it was me, I would've fired a whole lot more of those and hit the target by now. But... I see no improvement in the distance covered by your Aerogas."
Guthrie felt a small tick formed on his head. "Is this your way of having payback for that little spar we had?"
"I'm not saying that... Let's see..." After a bit of thought, Xion gently raised an arm. "Can you do this?" Suddenly, she conjured up a ball of light from her hand, the size of her palm, much to the boys' shock.
"Huh?! What the heck?! What sort of magic is that?!" Guthrie asked.
"Xion, you weren't able to do that before," Allen said.
"Light magic? But... that's a powerful element of magic to cast," Chirithy said. "Even more so, for just a small orb is a bit..."
"Huh? This is my raw magic," Xion corrected.
"Your raw magic?" the repeated in a questioned tone.
"Well, it's not all my magic, of course. But being in that Wisdom Form for so long, constantly shooting out those magic bullets, I became able to do this." She gently aimed at the targeted tree and shot the ball at it. While it didn't hit charred mark dead center, it still struck the very tree regardless.
"Okay, now you're just showing off here," Guthrie said, feeling a bit jealous of the display as a fellow Keyblade wielder.
"It wasn't my intention. But... can you at least conjure up your magic? I had you shoot those Aerogas out for a reason," Xion said.
'Oh, so there was a good reason for that,' he thought. Trying to remember the feeling of using magic, Guthrie held out a hand and tried to concentrate that sensation onto the palm of his hand. Seconds later, magic was showing in his hand... Except rather than raw magic, it was his Aeroga.
"No, not Aeroga! Your raw magic!" Xion told him.
"I'm trying to!" Guthrie retorted, making the wind dissipate. Before he tried again, he then asked her, "Wait, what's the point of showing my raw magic?"
"For one thing, to see how much magic you have," she answered. "That, and I want some help testing out something."
"Testing out something?"
"Like what?" Allen asked.
"Well, if I can use raw magic to shoot out bullets, I want to see if I can use it for anything else. As much as I want to go into my Wisdom Form to try it out, as it helps me control my magic better, I want to try practicing it without that form. So far I've been able to shoot magic bullets and fly, but I want to see if I can do anything else with just my magic alone. No offense to the swordsmanship training we will be doing in the near future, but I want to find improvements I can make when I'm not doing that," Xion reasoned.
"You know, she's actually not wrong," Chirithy said. "Keyblade wielders are about to utilize some special techniques because of their proficiency in magic, like Xion said in her Wisdom Form. Likewise there are techniques that can be obtained through the proficiency in swordsmanship. There may be some magic abilities that can work well with your style, Guthrie."
"I'm feeling a bit iffy about that 'may' part..." Guthrie said in slight suspicions. "But then again, it does sound interesting, and magic and skills are important in being a Keyblade Wielder, too. Who knows, maybe the abilities can help me out when I especially need them most."
"Exactly. Now, try to conjure up that raw magic of yours, and let's see what we can do with it," Xion insisted.
"That sounds a lot like an order there... And you know I'm not some test subject, right?"
*END OF FLASHBACK*
'I've done a lot of practice in that, even while Xion was recovering, and just managed to utilize just a bit,' Guthrie thought. 'If she can use her raw magic to make bullets, then maybe...' His eyes started to glow as his feet tingled with magic energy, his gaze looking towards Luffy and Blueno. 'Focus on where I want to go, and get there! Please, magic within me... help me save Luffy!'
With magic energy sparkling at his feet, he suddenly rocketed towards the pair.
"Rankya-" Blueno started, but was caught off guard as the Keyblade wielder landed directly on Luffy's head out of nowhere, pushing off of him as he directed his foot to Blueno's face.
The Door-Door user reeled back as Guthrie performed a midair backflip, readying his Keyblade. "Strike Raid!" He sent his Keyblade spinning like a buzzsaw, pressed into Blueno's gut and causing him to be pushed further and further away, until the attack stopped, and Guthrie recalled his weapon back again.
The CP9 agent looked up at Guthrie as he stood there, glaring at him. 'This is impossible!' he mentally exclaimed. 'Did that kid just used the Geppo technique? Only those working under the World Government are allowed access to using such moves. This has to be a trick!'
"Luffy-"
"Guthrie, help! I can't move, but the world's spinning! Get me out of this!" Luffy cried out, interrupting his counselor.
"For goodness sake..." he growled. "Get your head straight!" He slammed his Keyblade against Luffy's spinning eyes, magic sparking from the tip of it. All at once, Luffy's eyes stopped rotating.
"Ow!" Luffy exclaimed, rubbing the side of his face. He suddenly realized his face was normal, patting both sides. "Alright, My face closed. Thanks, Guthrie!"
"But I just did that out of anger," he admitted, looking at his Keyblade. "I didn't think the Keyblade was capable of stopping his-" He stopped talking, as he suddenly realized something.
'The Keyblade... Of course! It can unlock or lock any door it connects with. And since the CP9 member admitted his powers are all about doors...' He looked up at Blueno, placing his free hand on his head. 'This weapon is basically his greatest weakness!'
"Guthrie!" Luffy cried out, and Guthrie suddenly realized the ominous shadow looming over him.
The Heartless had its' weapon raised, about to slam it down at the pair. They cried out in panic as the axe fell.
