Mikey rushed into the cafeteria, where he met up with his brothers and friends. Once he spotted them, he ran over to them.
"Dudes!" the orange-masked turtle said. "Dudes, you won't believe who I ran into!" He was practically jumping up and down in excitement.
"Mikey, calm down!" Leo said and tried holding his brother still.
"We thought you were watching Ars," Donnie said and took his food from the counter. "They don't have pizza here, so I decided to get you a burger. Is that okay?"
"Forget the food!" Mikey said and ushered the others away from the counter. "Guess who I ran into while standing in front of Ars' door?" He then lowered his voice to a whisper. "The Justice League!"
"What?!" Hermes and Xandes exclaimed, while Daryun and the other three turtles looked on in surprise.
Daryun turned and glared at several people who had stopped and stared after Hermes and Xandes' outburst. "All right, people, move along. Nothing to see or hear." The people shuddered under Daryun's gaze and hurried away, carrying their food to a couple tables.
"Mikey, are you sure it was the real Justice League, not just some people in costumes?" Raph asked. "Because I remember this happened before, when you thought you saw Superman, only for the guy to turn out to not be Superman."
"That's because it was Bizarro," Mikey said and grabbed a burger from Donnie. "I thought he was Superman at first because he looked like the guy at first glance!"
"Whatever," Raph said. "Now, about the Justice League-"
"Yes, it was the Justice League, for real!" Mikey replied. "And I talked to them and got them to agree to visit Ars." He grinned, his hands on his hips like a superhero.
"Wait…" Xandes said. "You got the Justice League, in the flesh, to pay Arslan a visit."
"Of course," Mikey said. "They're going to after Kid Flash gets treated for a broken leg because of parkour."
Hermes laughed. "Yeah, right. A superhero suffering a broken bone due to parkour, of all things. Right. And Lex Luthor's gonna guest star on The Big Bang Theory."
"He's not," Leo said. "But I read in an ad that Bruce Wayne is."
"Bruce Wayne guest starring on a sitcom?" Hermes asked skeptically.
"It's true; I saw the ad online," Leo said.
"Sooo, back to what Mikey was saying," Donnie said in an effort to change the subject. He addressed his little brother: "That's a great thing you did, Mikey. You did what many would consider impossible, all to brighten your friend's day."
Tahamine, along with Shireen and Vahriz, came up to the seven teenagers, having all gotten what they wanted to eat. "What are you boys talking about?"
"Mikey convinced the Justice League to visit Ars," Donnie replied. "Isn't that great?"
"Wow, awesome!" Shireen exclaimed and grinned. She handed her sandwich to her mother and ran out of the cafeteria, Sunshine Bear still in tow. "I'm gonna go tell Ars right now!"
"Shireen, wait!" Tahamine said and tried grabbing her daughter, only for Shireen to slip out of her grasp.
"Wait, no, Rena!" Mikey called after the little girl, running after her. "It's supposed to be a surpri-" He stopped when he saw she turned a corner. He turned around and walked back to his brothers and friends. "And she's gone."
Tahamine sighed. "I am so sorry, Michelangelo."
"Don't worry; I'm sure Arslan will still be surprised that they're actually coming," Vahriz assured everybody.
"Maybe we should eat, then head to Ars' room," Donnie said and picked out a table. "He's gonna be expecting visitors, heroes or not." He and everyone else sat down and started eating.
The Purple Dragons stopped in front of Arslan's room and looked at one another.
"Just to confirm, this is where the orange turtle came out of, right?" Fong asked.
"Yes," another one of the Dragons said.
"Maybe the others are hiding in here," another Dragon suggested.
"Could be," Fong said, his hand on the door handle. "Or they could possibly be visiting a friend. Either way, we'll get them." He opened the door, and he and the others entered the room.
After the Purple Dragons let themselves into Arslan's room, they saw that the Turtles weren't anywhere to be found. Instead, they found a bedridden Arslan. He was asleep, World's Dumbest playing on the TV. He had a gauze bandage wrapped around his forehead, and some bruises on his face and arms, courtesy of Oroku Saki. His left arm was also still in a cast, one of many injuries he had received on Black Friday.
"This must be the friend they're visiting," Fong said. He roughly shook Arslan awake, hitting his broken arm. "You! Wake up, now!"
Arslan slowly opened his eyes, groaning from the pain in his arm. He struggled to sit up despite still fighting a fever, then looked to see the Purple Dragons standing by his bed. His voice was hoarse when he spoke up. "You're not my friends. Who are you? Are you even in the right room?"
"Yes, kid," Fong said in a not-so-nice manner. "We're in the right room. And you're right; we're not your friends. We're looking for the Turtles. Where are they?"
"I don't know," Arslan said. "I don't think they've been by yet."
"You're lying!" Fong said and pressed down on Arslan's broken arm, causing him to cry out in pain.
"I'm not lying!" Arslan exclaimed as tears fell from his eyes. "I swear to God I don't know!" Then he glared at Fong. "Even if I did know, I wouldn't tell you. You don't look very trustworthy, and you're not acting it either...ouch! Stop it!"
"Uh, I think he's telling the truth, Fong," one of the other Dragons said.
Fong let go of Arslan's arm, then sat down in the chair right next to the boy's bed and cast a glare in his direction. "Then we'll just have to wait."
"Get out," Arslan said and reached for the Nurse Call button.
Fong, still glaring at a terrified Arslan, said, "Kid, you're in no position to give orders." Then he took the Nurse Call button and held it out of Arslan's reach. "And I'll hold onto this." He smiled as Arslan lowered his hand, gripped the bedsheet covering him and looked straight at the wall, avoiding the Dragon leader's gaze. "Good boy."
Just as Fong settled down in one of the visitor chairs, Shireen opened the door, wearing a huge grin while eagerly bouncing up and down, Sunshine Bear still in tow.
'No, don't come in here!' Arslan thought after seeing his baby sister in the doorway.
"Ars!" Shireen exclaimed as she stepped into the room. "Guess who's coming to visit? The Ju-" She gasped and stumbled backwards when she saw who was in the room with her brother. "Wh-what the-?"
One of the Purple Dragons stepped away from the bed and towards Shireen. "Who's this kid?" He looked back towards Arslan and the other Dragons. "Looks like the boy. Maybe she's his sister?"
Arslan weakly stepped out of bed and held on. "You leave her alone!" He looked at Shireen and said, "Rena, go get Mom, okay? I'll be alright."
Shireen gulped and nodded, then started towards the door, only to be stopped by another Dragon.
"You're not going anywhere," the Dragon said as he blocked the door. Shireen was shaking as she tried getting around the guy.
"Hey!" Arslan yelled and attempted to make his way towards the Dragon blocking the door. He winced as Fong got up out of the chair and tightly grabbed one of his arms, keeping him from going anywhere. "I said leave Shireen alone! Let her go back to our mom; she's probably looking for her." He looked towards Shireen again. "Rena, go back to Mom. Tell her I'm still resting and haven't woken up yet, okay?"
Fong looked from Arslan, to Shireen, then to the Dragon at the door. After a moment, he said, "Fine. Get out of here, you little brat." He motioned for his henchman to let Shireen leave the room. Arslan breathed a sigh of relief as soon as Shireen left. Once the door was slammed shut once again, Fong glared at Arslan and pushed him down on the floor. "Try getting out again, kid, and I'll play Tic-Tac-Toe on your back!"
Arslan shook as Fong reached into his pocket, until he saw what the Dragons' leader pulled out and brandished at him. "You're gonna hurt me with a popsicle stick?" He rolled his eyes at Fong. "I can't believe I was afraid of you guys."
Fong noticed what he was holding, and his face flushed in embarrassment. He threw the popsicle stick in the trash can nearby the Biohazard receptacle. Then he reached into his pocket again and, to his utter dismay, pulled out a Crayola marker. He put that away and, once again to his dismay, pulled out a magnifying glass.
"You really haven't thought this through, have you?" an annoyed Arslan asked, the fingers on his good hand drumming the floor, stopping only to let out a few coughs.
"Sh-shut up!" Fong exclaimed as he put the magnifying glass away. Then he took out a set of keys.
"Uh, Fong, I don't think you can hurt him with keys," one of the Dragons said.
"And what's with that key ring?" Arslan asked, pointing out Fong's rather large key ring. "What are you, a medieval dungeon master?"
"I said shut up!" Fong said and slapped Arslan across the face. Then he turned towards his henchman and took a sharp-looking key off the ring to show it to the guy, then squatted down to Arslan's level and showed the key to him. He glared at Arslan, who was once again shaking. "I can hurt him with this one."
"Okay, I'm scared again," Arslan said, trying to inch as far away from the key and the Purple Dragons as he could.
Just then, the door swung open again.
"Rena, no, I told you to-!" Arslan exclaimed, and stopped when he realized who was now in his room.
The Turtles stepped into Arslan's room, with plans to visit their friend before introducing him to the Justice League. They froze when they found out Arslan had company already.
"Guys…" Arslan managed to say.
Fong walked over to Arslan, key still in hand and ready to use, and grabbed him by his hospital gown upon seeing the Turtles. "Oh, look who finally decided to show up."
"Ars, no!" Mikey said.
"What the-?" Donnie said.
"You've gotta be kidding me," Raph said and glared at Fong and his cronies. "What are you losers doing here?"
"We were hoping to see you guys," another of the Dragons replied. "You have an appointment to get your asses kicked."
Raph cracked his knuckles. "I'd be happy to oblige you assholes. We are in a hospital."
"Okay, we'll fight you, but can we do this somewhere else?" Leo asked. "I don't want anyone getting hurt. Especially Ars; he's already in enough pain."
Fong shrugged and dropped Arslan back onto the floor and pocketed the key. "All right, let's take it outside. It's too cramped in here anyway." As Fong and his henchmen made their way to the door, the Turtles went up to Arslan and helped him back into his bed and put the covers over him.
Shireen ran through the corridors, searching for somebody, anybody, to help her brother. She kept running until she bumped into Tahamine and the others, who were now talking with Doctor Jaeger and, to her relief, the Justice League.
"Shireen?" Tahamine said upon seeing her distressed daughter running up to her and the others. She got down to eye level with the little girl and held her. "What's wrong, honey?"
"It's Ars," Shireen replied. "Th-there are some bad people in his room. They're hurting him!"
"Oh my God," Tahamine said quietly, then got up, grabbing Shireen's hand.
"Rena!" Daryun said in an urgent manner. He grabbed her by the shoulders. "Who's attacking Arslan?!"
"I th-think they're the Purple Dragons," Shireen replied, burying her face in Sunshine Bear. "Ars got them to let me go."
Hearing that the Purple Dragons were in Arslan's room made Hermes' blood boil. Fists clenched so hard that his nails dug into his palms, he said, "Come on! Let's go!"
"Right!" the Flash said, and he and the others were headed to Arslan's room, Doctor Jaeger included.
