Day 15: Ridiculous Romantic Gestures
Marinette, Adrien, Nino, and Alya were all in Marinette's room having one of their rare hangouts where all four of them were present. Adrien was often the one absent from these hangouts because of his busy schedule, but luckily for him Natalie was able to squeeze in some time for his friends. Especially, if Marinette was there.
"So Marinette, what would you imagine the perfect date to be like?" Alya asked her best friend.
"Why do you ask that all of a sudden?" Marinette stuttered out with a slight blush.
Unbeknownst to Marinette, Adrien was actually very interested to hear what she had to say. For the past few months he and Marinette had pursued a relationship together, but that relationship was only there when he was Chat Noir.
"Well only, because you refuse to tell me about this secret boyfriend of yours that you also won't admit you have." Alya stated.
"Boyfriend? Marinette has a boyfriend?" Nino questioned.
"N..No I don't, it's just Alya's weird assumption." Marinette crossed her arms and looked to the floor.
"Right...so you're constant daydreaming lately has nothing to do with it." Alya continued to stare at the girl.
"Well I do have some idea of what I think my perfect date would be, but that doesn't mean I have a boyfriend." Marinette lied right through her teeth.
"Do tell."
"Well...I guess I'd like him to bring me flowers, preferably my favorite kind. I'd like to visit my three favorite places with him, you know the Lourve, the Trocadero, and the Eiffel Tower. Then we would have dinner right under the moonlight." Marinette finished with a dreamy sigh. "I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's how I imagine the perfect date."
"It's not ridiculous at all, it sounds so sweet!" Alya gleefully told her.
"Setting high expectations there are ya?" Nino joked. "Looks like I'll have to step up my game then." He winked at his girlfriend who rolled her eyes and laughed.
"So...that's what you would want?" Adrien asked. "For the perfect date I mean."
"Definitely, I'd most likely marry the guy on the spot." Marinette said absentmindedly while still daydreaming.
Ever since she started dating Chat Noir, Marinette was able to have a conversation with Adrien without practically foaming at the mouth. She still found him admirable and sometimes her crush on him tended to sneak it's way back into her heart every now and then, especially when he did things that reminded her of Chat Noir.
Adrien blushed and began to make a mental list of the things Marinette had listed. He decided that he'd give her that date she dreamed of next time he saw her as Chat.
It was already past 11 o'clock at night, Marinette wondered if Chat Noir would show up that night, he did have a civilian life of his own to deal with, it could be possible that he couldn't get away. She sighed at the thought that she wouldn't be able to see him tonight, she never thought it was possible that she'd fall for her silly kitty when she already had Adrien, but it happened and now she can't imagine a life where it didn't.
Marinette was about to call it a night and get ready for bed, but then she heard the familiar knock that she had been waiting for. She climbed up her ladder and opened the trap door allowing the blonde to jump right in.
"A little late now are we?" She said with a smirk.
Chat Noir grinned sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry I had some...errands to run and I brought you something." The blonde revealed a bouquet of pink tulips to the blunette and she gasped at its beauty.
"Oh my gosh, Chat they're lovely." She brought the bouquet to her nose and inhaled its fragrance. "How did you know these were my favorite?"
"Oh...just a guess." He said with an innocent smile. "That's just the beginning though princess, I've got more surprises along the way." Chat extended his hand towards the blunette. Curious, Marinette took hold of it and was suddenly pulled into his arms. "Hang on tight okay?" She wrapped her arms over his shoulders and didn't let go.
Chat first brought her to the Louvre where they snuck through one of the windows to get in. It was a different experience seeing the museum at night and even exciting avoiding security from catching them.
The next stop was the Trocadero and Marinette was in aw at the beautiful site of the fountain glistening under the moonlight and the lights of the Eiffel Tower as well, which happened to be their final stop.
Chat Noir vaulted to the top of the tower with Marinette in his arms. He found a secluded spot and set her down. Marinette gasped at the sight before her, a single table with a romantic candle light stood on the center of the platform.
"Chat...I...I don't know what to say. How did you know to take me to my three favorite places?" She asked.
"Let's just say I have a talent for knowing what my princess wants." He took her hand and gently kissed it making her blush. "Shall we?"
They sat, chat and ate together, having the best time they've had in weeks. During it all something crossed Mari's mind and she decided to address it.
"You know I just realized, there's only one way tou could have known about what my perfect date would be like." She spoke.
The blonde gulped silently, but continued to feign innocence. "What would that be?"
"You're...stalking me." She grinned playfully.
Chat Noir laughed. "You caught me princess, I can't seem to stay away from you even if I tried."
Marinette laughed and got up from her seat and made her way around the table. Chat was about to ask what she was doing until she placed her hands on his cheeks and leaned in.
Chat felt his heart soar feeling her lips against his own, every time he kissed her he felt something like a firework exploding inside of himself and it made it harder to control his impulses and desires.
Marinette pulled back and ran her fingers through Chats hair. "I don't know how to thank you."
"I'd say your kisses are more than enough princess. Although you could also marry me on the spot and we'll call it even." He said grinning.
Marinette rolled her eyes and giggled. "I'll think about it."
For some reason it wasn't hard to picture Marinette in a pretty white dress walking down the aisle. Chat's heart sped up once again and his smile turned genuine. "I'll take those odds.."
