Later that night, Burnett had a fire going in the fireplace and had the radio playing! Then, he heard the sound of a whistle from up in the mountain! Lily, who was sleeping in the spare bedroom, awoke to the sound of the whistle! Outside, Patch was with a white stallion who was running about!
[train whistle sound from in the mountain]
Patch was confused by this!
With, Ash, Pikachu and Aipom, they were peacefully sound asleep, when...
[train whistle sound from in the mountain]
Pikachu: [wakes up] PIKA?
Back with Lily, she got out of bed and looked out the window and the sound of the whistle continued to be heard through the mountain as the scene swapped to Burnett Stone and then to Lily and then back to Burnett again as Burnett grew concerned!
Ash (voiceover): As the sound of Lady's magic echoed [as the scene changes to nighttime on Sodor as Percy puffed passed the watermill on a moon-lit night delivering the mail] through the night on Muffle Mountain, the engines on Sodor had her very much in their thoughts!
Percy soon arrived at Knapford Station just as Gordon was pulling out with the evening Express!
Gordon: [whistles to Percy]
Percy: [whistles back]
Meanwhile, with Diesel 10, he was hiding in a shed in the shunting yard!
Diesel 10: [cackles]
Percy: [coming up alongside Thomas from the other platform] Uh, Thomas? I was thinking. How does Mr. Conductor travel here?
Thomas: By gold dust.
Percy: But if there's a lost engine, maybe there's a lost railway, too. Mr. Conductor's railway!
Thomas: "The journey gets bumpier and bumpier." That's what Mr. Conductor told me.
Percy: Ooh, he talked about buffers in his sleep! Buffers are at the end of a railway. I think that's how he travels here! [whispers] On a secret railway.
Thomas: Belonging to the Lost Engine! And that Pokémon! [as Diesel 10 rolls away to the scrap yard] Percy, you are clever! Ooh. My wheels are suddenly feeling very wobbly. I think Diesel's around here!
Toby: [coming up alongside the right side of Thomas; dinging his bell] I'm sorry, you two. Diesel heard every word you said. I'm going after him to see what he does next. You'd better carry on and get the mail delivered.
Percy: Oh, you're very brave, Toby!
Toby: [as he puffed away] Oh, Diesel won't bother with an old engine like me. He thinks I'm really useless!
