A/N: I know, I know, it's a sad thing to admit defeat as a fanfiction author and throw in the towel. But the MCU grows every day and I've got an MFA and a job now, meaning I would have to devote time I do not have to keeping up with the MCU, but didn't want to leave anyone who still likes this without knowing my idea of how Coral would deal with the massive changes in the MCU. Thank you to any and all who read this, hope you enjoyed.

Black Panther - Plot of the movie plays out as usual, Coral goes with Nakia to get the purple heart-shaped herb and takes a second one so hopefully they can preserve its healing effects in a new generation. Killmonger takes special offense to her, not understanding why Wakanda has accepted her but won't accept him (especially since she's former Hydra). Coral and Shuri go to the US (Coral having been given a pardon deal as part of T'Challa's Wakanda outreach program). Coral takes Shuri to Disneyland on their first date, where she runs into Tony and Pepper and Rhodey. There's awkwardness and while neither Tony nor Coral manage to quite forgive each other yet, they set aside differences to enjoy Disney with their respective loved ones.

Infinity War - Coral and Shuri are officially dating. Coral is initially happy to see the other Avengers, but then is a little concerned about Cap's insistence on not trading lives actually instead only trading Vision's life for Wakandan lives (she is very protective of her new homeland). But she softens when she sees Wanda and Vision together. From there, the war goes as it always does: Thanos wins and the Snap happens. From here we branch out into two universes for Endgame.

Endgame - 1) Coral is snapped. This further devastates the Avengers, especially Natasha, Bruce, and Clint. Natasha sacrifices herself not just to save everyone, but to specifically save her daughter. She records a message for Coral telling her that she knows she wasn't necessarily Coral's mom but she always loved her as a daughter and it was all worth it. Coral leads the charge of all female Avengers with a cry of "For Natasha!"

2) Coral is not snapped. She spends the first year of the post-Snap recovering at various mental health facilities, having lost not only her girlfriend but some of her best friends like Peter Parker. She is now retired as a hero but is a major player in global aid efforts, frequently meeting with world and galactic leaders to find the most efficient ways of helping people. When talk of time travel is had, she forces the Avengers to tell the Public, reminding them of the mass chaos that would immediately unfold if they were successful. There is immediate backlash; some countries (especially those that were able to oust dictators thanks to the chaos of the snap) are against the attempt to return those lost, but for the most part, they have the go ahead. Coral goes with Clint and Natasha and like them, attempts to sacrifice herself, only for Natasha to forcefully sacrifice herself. Coral tearfully begs Nat not to let go because Nat is her mother and she's not ready to let her go. But Nat, being a good mother, wants to give her daughter the best chance at a future. Coral again leads the all female Avengers charge in Natasha's name. In the aftermath, Coral convinces the VanDyne family to help make enough Pym particles to increase food resources and make sure the universes has enough food to sustain its now doubled populations. After Natasha's funeral, Coral takes on the mantle of Black Widow, dying her hair red with otjize paste, and some of the Avengers push for her to take on the role of public leader of the Avengers due to Coral forcing them to keep the public informed and keeping them coordinated (also all of the other senior Avengers are retired, dead, or don't want the role). Her relationship with Shuri is made more awkward by the sudden additional five years of difference in age, but Shuri is determined to make it work, so they stay together.

WandaVision - Coral is the only Avenger to check up on Wanda after the events of Endgame and immediately tries to force SWORD to back down as Wanda is still an Avenger. However, because Wanda was blipped, she was never properly pardoned. She and Clint manage to talk Wanda down slightly, but SWORD (mostly Hayward) end up arresting them for undermining SWORD's authority (it doesn't help that Clint is retired and therefore technically a civilian). Coral doesn't manage to talk to Wanda before she leaves, but hopes she finds peace.

Far From Home/No Way Home - Coral is approached by Talos!Fury but is not fooled. She only agrees to reach out to Peter on the condition that she handle him. She tries to tell Peter that he doesn't need to fill Ironman's shoes any more than she needs to fill Natasha's; they're both their own heroes and they are still young too. They have time to figure things out. But Peter's identity is still exposed by Beck and while Coral gives Peter and his family Avengers protection (meaning a safehouse and a lawyer on call who just so happens to be Matt Murdock), she can't convince colleges to take a risk on a student who is already shown to be a trouble magnet. Eventually has to help Peter and Strange capture and then cure the other Spider-mens' villains. Is also forced to forget Peter in the Snap but does remember working with Spider-man and knows that Spider-man is an Avenger.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier - refuses to allow John Walker on the Avengers, despite the US government's insistence, and proclaims Sam Wilson the true Captain America. Is furious with Bucky for freeing Zemo and tries to arrest Zemo herself ("He killed Shuri's father, Bucky! You're not the only person he hurt."). Zemo, for all his confidence and bluster, does feel a little shamed when confronted by Coral, who was almost executed partially because of his actions. She also empathizes with the Flag Smashers, especially their leader, Carly.

Black Widow/Hawkeye - Natasha told Coral to find Yelena in her goodbye recording, but being a former Black Widow, Yelena was very hard to track. Coral joins the Barton family's christmas trip due to her being based in NY. Yelena is initially insulted that Coral calls herself a Black Widow and doesn't believe Coral's claims that she was Natasha's daughter. But after a fight on the Rockefeller ice-rink, Coral reveals a picture of herself, Natasha, and Clint at Bethesda Terrace, their first stop on their NY trip after the Battle of New York.

Multiverse of Madness - gets pissed that Strange didn't call her the moment he knew where Wanda was. Vibes with America Chavez.

Shang Chi/Eternals/Moon Knight/Ms. Marvel - Coral is the public liaison for the Avengers and so would probably be prime-after-credit character. Also imagine a bunch of her voicemails / unread texts to other Avengers being like "Hey, so apparently the earth is an egg and there was a giant god-like being inside it the whole time, how did we miss that?" or "Hey, so, the sky is reversing itself. Strange, is that supposed to be happening? Did you somehow find the time stone again and are fucking around? Please call me!" She vibes with Kamala though.
