Kevin was driving the car, and Reiko was in the front seat. Kuri and Ben were in the back, and they were going down the highway.
Kuri's eyes flashed silver at the same time as Kevin's Plumber badge began to ring.
"We have to stop them! They have a boy imprisoned! He's part alien...and he's been wrongly accused."
The badge showed a GPS coordinate, and they followed it to a farm out in the country.
"Are you sure Grandpa Max isn't out there trying to help that...boy?" Ben said, sounding a little jealous.
Kuri sighed. "Ben I didn't see Max. But I do see him in the future. He's out there."
They arrived in town and found the ice warehouse where the boy had been imprisoned.
"He escaped!" Kuri said happily.
"Great. Now we chase him. He has some explaining to do." Ben said.
"But Ben—" Kuri said, but Ben had already turned into Jetray and flown off.
Ben found the boy fighting of the sheriff and some cops. The two fought in the air.
Kuri ran over. "Alan! Down here!"
Alan came down and transformed back, going to Kuri, who pulled him into a barn.
Ben flew in and changed back.
"Why are you two helping me?" Alan asked.
"Because we know what its like to have powers." Kuri said, flicking her hand and telekinetically closing the door.
"I only got my powers a couple of weeks ago. My mom's human." Alan said.
"So you're part alien?" Ben said.
"Yes." Alan said. "My father was a Plumber. He gave me his badge, but the sheriff took it."
Ben handed it to him.

The sheriff and cops caught Kevin and Reiko.
"We know you have Alan and his friends in there!" Sheriff said.
"Problem?" Kevin said. "Just me and my girl out for a drive."
"Oh...um...nevermind." Sheriff said.
The cops left and Reiko looked at Kevin.
"What do you think?" Reiko said.
"A Plumber's kid. Alien ancestry like you." Kevin said.
"I'm not an alien. I'm a Vessel." Reiko said.
"Whatever that means." Kevin said.

Ben, Kuri, and Alan met up with Reiko and Kevin.
"So we agree then. What Ben mapped out...it reminds me of the computers I build in my spare time. It's definitely some sort of machine." Reiko finished.
Just then a tower rose out of the valley where the circles were and it started to snow.
"You! You built this to feed your powers!" The sheriff said.
"You need to calm down. He's not bad!" Kuri said defensively.
"They won't listen." Kevin said, absorbing a gun and breaking it.
"Oh, they'll listen to me. Everyone, plug your ears." Reiko said.
Her comrades plugged their ears.
"You feel calm. It's time to go back to the precinct. Alan is your town hero and a friend to all." Reiko illused.
The officers headed back to the precinct, but suddenly were frozen by some men in suits.
Kuri transformed into Miko, and Reiko into Kitsune. Ben turned into Swampfire.
Miko wore a Mardi Gras mask and a miko's hitodama—the clothes of a priestess. Reiko wore a Kaitoh mask and a blue kimono.
The suits tried to freeze them, but Miko held up her hand and deflected the attack, freezing some of the suits.
Another suit froze Swampfire, but he burned free as they closed in on Alan in his Pyronite form.
However, they couldn't freeze him.
"Swampfire! Save the officers. Me and Alan will fight these jerks back." Miko said. "Kitsune you and Kevin go take the tower down."
Kitsune and Kevin ran off.
"How can we take it down?" Kevin said.
"No problem. Stand back." Kitsune grinned and threw up her hands. The tower exploded and fell to the ground in pieces as the weather was restored.
As they returned to the field, they overheard Ben telling the sheriff that Alan saved them all. Kitsune knew her suggestion helped them believe that Alan was their hero.
"So Alan, wanna come with us?" Ben said.
"He can't. We'll be needing our hero." Sheriff said.
"Call me anytime. Especially you." Alan winked at Kuri.
Ben looked more than a little jealous and Kuri laughed and rolled her eyes.
