Kuri shook Ben out of his reverie.
He had been watching the Holoviewer for hours.
"Cmon. There's trouble. Some sort of...energy vampire." Kuri seemed to find it difficult to describe.
"I'm ready to go!" Reiko said.
"Ah...you should stay here." Kuri said uncertainly.
"What? We're coming." Kevin said.
"No...I mean Reiko. She's...a target...and uh..."
"I think she more than proved herself with Vulkanus." Ben said in a final way.
Kuri shot him a look, but he pretended not to see.
As they drove into town, they saw a shining light near a car accident.
As Kuri watched stubbornly from the car, Ben and Reiko bonded with the energy vampire, Michael Morningstar.
"You don't like him either, ne?" Kuri said to Kevin.
"I don't trust him any more than you do." Kevin said. "Besides, aren't you psychic or something? Ben and Reiko should listen to you."
"Stop buttering me up, Metal Boy." Kuri hissed. "What is she doing? That's dangerous... "
"Reiko's doing something?" Kevin said.
Ben got back in the car. "The two of them are going on alone for a little while. Don't you wanna meet him, Kuri."
"I warned you Ben. We're going to the power plant. Now." Kuri growled at him.
Without giving him a chance to protest, she shimmered the whole car to the power plant.
Michael had drained Reiko to a husk.
Reiko pushed him back. "Kogitsune...Sophix!"
The energy drained from Michael and swirled around Reiko
They caught a glimpse of her vulpine features as a solid blast of golden energy flew out from her and returned to their owners.
"Enchantix!" Reiko attacked Michael before he could get away.
"N-No...I'm...WEAK!" Michael cried.
"No, your a human. You just forgot about that." Kuri embraced Reiko. "I'm sorry I didn't believe in you. You didn't fall for his trick at all did you—you were tricking him?"
"Yep!" Reiko grinned.
