"Cmon Ben. School isn't that bad." Kuri said.
"But they know now." Ben said.
"What that you're a hero?" Kuri said. "So what? I know. Reiko too, and Kevin. Once they see the real Ben, everyone will respect you like we do."
"But you saw that guy on TV talking about me!" Ben said.
Kuri grabbed him in her arms and kissed him on the lips, the pulse of magic lingering in the air.
"You saved me." Kuri said. "Now I'm saving you."
Kuri led him in, holding his hand.
Everyone stopped, and applauded him, including his old bullies, Cash and J.T.
Kuri beamed and clapped too. "My hero."
