That's when with an enormous explosion of fire, SkullMeramon, landed several feet beside them "Peek a boo, I found you!" he said, in its rasping deep voice.

"Run, Princess, I'll keep him away from you" Huang said, stepping in between, SkullMeramon and Mitsuko.

"Well you have a constant hero complex and like to throw yourself in front of danger instead of doing the sensible thing and running" Mitsuko yelled, at Huang.

"Well Excuse Me Princess for caring!" Huang replied, shouting back at Mitsuko, as General stepped out from behind a bush.

"Come back with us princess, and let the Digidestined just go home, you don't need them in your kingdom,

They are not needed" General Gemini Kane said, in what sounded like a pleading tone, with an edge of sarcasm.

"Now you can run, Princess, I'll keep them busy?" Huang asked, looking in Mitsuko's direction, but instead, she grabbed him and pulled him into a run behind her.

"No one else is dying because of me, not you or anyone else", Mitsuko said, while continuing to drag a protesting Huang behind her, as foliage kept hitting him in the face. "We are almost to my secret gate, it is this way I just remembered it" she finally let go of Huang as he was managing to keep up with her, as they dodged flaming bushes, exploding swamp puddles, and also attacks that barely missed coming from behind from Kane, he sounded like he was getting angrier as the chase continued.

-Present-

"That was one hectic moment after another, that seemingly lasted forever," Huang said, interrupting the story.

"The path for us was rather easy?" Takajin said, looking around, at the road that they had come down while they had been traveling with the rebels.

"You lucked out and stumbled upon the main road to Satapia, I'm surprised it's not more guarded, as it usually is, that got me worried? but I think we need to finish this story before that changes"

"Yeah because I don't know how we go out of there, we were attacked, and then we woke up outside of the swamp" Huang said, looking back at where he and Mitsuko had come from.

"We were seconds from the gate when Kane caught up with us," Mitsuko said, going back into the story, like it hadn't stopped.

-flashback-

"There is the gate, we are almost there", Mitsuko said, briefly turning back to see if Kane was still chasing them, but he was nowhere in sight, there was no one there, moments ago he had been there, shouting and attacking, him and his Digimon partner, but now he has vanished. "Huang, do you see him?"

"No I don't, where is he?" Huang answered, confused at what was going on, he frantically looked around for General Gemini Kane, only to spot him ahead of them, how he got there was the question.

"I knew where you were going, you knew I was the one who showed you this way in when your parents forbid you from coming here, I didn't see the harm in you coming here, it seemed like a very safe p,lace especially for you, and you said in your heart that you felt something calling to you here," Kane said, as his Digimon partner seemed to appear behind him. "You have had your fun, now your highness come home, send the DigiDestined back to where they have come from, they are not needed here…" he dodged an incoming attack by Coredramon but skidded backward from the concussion of missed hit, even if it didn't make contact. SkullMeramon intercepted the second Coredramon attack, sending another one back at him, burning the dinosaur Digimon, it roared in pain, sending another one of its attacks in return, SkullMeramon caught it and set it back at Coredramon, pushing it into an exploding swamp puddle.

"You will not take her back, we will save her kingdom" Huang said, through gritted teeth, he was feeling his Digimon partner's pain, showing he was going to digivolve again, into his ultimate for form.

"The Kingdom isn't what needs saving, it's y…" Kane said, before a huge flash of light engulfed the area, and a scream resonated through the area like it was coming from a cavernous echo chamber.

-Hours Later-

Huang woke, his vision was still blurry, he had a hard time making out anything around, or where he even was, Mitsuko was nowhere to be seen even as a silhouette, and neither was Kane and his Digimon partner. He felt around till he found Babydmon, the Digimon was ok and was currently snoozing away like usual, he picked him up and placed him on his shoulder, as his vision cleared a bit more, still no sign of the princess, that's when he noticed that he was no longer in the fire swamp that it was now on the other side of a flaming wall, he decided to sit down until his sight was fully restored to him, there was no point in continuing forward if he could only see a few inches in any direction. There he sat for what was seemingly forever, when a voice called out his name, and there she was Princess Mitsuko struggling forward, nearly falling over with each as she made her way towards, he caught her as she fell.

"Are we safe, I can't see anything?" Mitsuko asked, as she lay in Huang's arms, before letting out a long spat of coughing "I heard your snoring Digimon and made my way towards it.

"Yeah, he does snore loudly, I'm surprised that we haven't been captured because of it, as it has to be loud enough to be heard for several miles in each direction", Huang said, jokingly to try to comfort the princess.

"Don't tempt fate, stupid lout" Mitsuko replied, jokingly in return "I need to lay down, I'm spent from all that running we did"

"The way you talk about your kingdom; it sounds like a beautiful place to live?" Huang said, trying to get the focus back in his eyes.

"It was, a paradise within that beautiful wall of storm, till she arrived and took everything I cared about away, now I'm alone in this world" Mitsuko replied, giving him a brief of anger, that went away within a few seconds of it crossing her face.

"The Glimpses I got of that storm encasing your kingdom, have been breathtaking, beautiful, and fierce like its future ruler," Huang said, not thinking of what he just said, and didn't notice that Mitsuko's face had slightly reddened at hearing that.

"I hope we get our sight back, so you can see the beauty of my kingdom from within the storm, its something to behold still, and once it's freed I can give you the royal tour, including home the palace, my parents would have liked you," Mitsuko said, making sure to look away this time.

"I would like to see all that too, I'll be looking forward to it, and every experience your kingdom has to offer," Huang said, looking deeply into Mitsuko's eyes, as his vision was clearing up, he felt himself being drawn to her like an unknown force was pulling him to her, but before he got close enough to do what he felt like, Mitsuko pulled away, her face a bright red.

"I see…You got your sight back, I think we should get back with the other DigiDestined, who have hopefully reached the rebels already, if they didn't get delayed by security" Mitsuko said, calming down from the awkward moment they had just had.

They both looked around awkwardly searching for something else to talk about, and getting their footing to where they must go "So where do we go from here" Huang asked, finally calming down.

"The rebels should be this way," Mitsuko said, pointing in a northeastern direction, and then started in that direction.

They seemed to walk like forever without seeing anything, before they had to sit and rest again, there hadn't been any sign of General Gemini Kane either, which was a good sign that maybe they had lost him finally, no more having to fight his Digimon partner, SkullMeramon, but they must stay vigilant ashe could be lurking out there waiting for them to drop their guard, Huang hoped that he wouldn't have to encounter him again. That's when the wind started to pick up, and in the distance, there were visible tents.

"I am guessing these are your rebel friends," Huang said, looking for signs of the rest of the Digidestined, and finding none so far.

-present-

"That's when we arrived, and what a relief that that whole experience that is, I'm exhausted, I feel very charbroiled from the swamp to the point I'll never look at a hamburger the same way again," Huang said, rubbing his dry brow. "That General wouldn't give up; I don't know how we got away from him"

"That light that drove him away, once we deal with the situation in Satapia, we should investigate that swamp, and its weird properties," Virgil said, looking back at the barely visible wall of fire "How it burns and never goes out, is beyond even my knowledge of how things work

"Your Highness!" Mina said as she dropped down into a deep bow. On her knees ad her face nearly touching the ground, the rest of the rebels followed and were bowing to "we will follow you to death's door, and beyond, we all love you with every inch of our being" ignoring how uncomfortable they were making Princess Mitsuko, her face flushing red once again.

"I don't know how to feel about this, your people really love you, I know my people in Lilithia, but not as much as this, I am kind of slightly jealous" Juniko was taken aback by the sign of affection she was witnessing but was somewhat sorry for Mitsuko too, the celebrity she appeared to have with the people of satapia, this kind affection with her would likely get old after several days.

"When I was a princess while ruling a kingdom, I ruled with fear, I craved the attention of my people, then I realized no one truly even liked me, so eventually I tried to distance myself from the people, now as I am now only a princess in an honorary capacity I have the love of my people as a champion of justice, but I still don't want it, and still distance myself from the people of Suzubuya," Mikuni said, as she mindlessly pets Lopmon.

"That was a circular statement, that went nowhere" Takajin mumbled to himself, hoping Mikuni wouldn't hear him at all, even going as far as keeping his eyes on her, and relaxing when she wasn't going to murder him for what he had just said.

The rebels were now getting back to their feet, and brushed the dirt off themselves from all the extended bowing, and Mina was the first one to speak again after everyone was standing again. "When are we going to retake the castle?" she said, looking with intent to Mitsuko, and fidgeted as she spoke, and fresh sweat made its way down her brow.

"We will take back our home, tomorrow, we will not make any more compromises, we will not turn our backs anymore, they invade our kingdom, we turn our backs, they push us out of our homes we turn our backs, they murder innocent people we turn our backs, not again that we sacrifice any more of our people, the line must be drawn here! This way no further, and I'll make them pay for what they have done, and answer for their crimes" Mitsuko placed her hand on each DigiDestined's shoulder, as she passed them "I mean we will" she corrected herself, before continuing. "Anyone who doesn't feel up to this task, I won't hold it against you if you don't come with me" she watched the crowd of rebels, looking for anyone that was leaving, but no one left, it was an impressive sign of devotion.

-Royal palace of Satapia-

A woman stood in front of the throne, her face shrouded in darkness, she placed her hand on the arm of the throne, running her hand across the jewel-encrusted marble surface "soon we will get everything we ever wanted" she said, as another woman entered, and whispered something in her eye.

-Outside the gates-

"How do we get passed the storm barrier", Takajin asked, trying to touch the barrier, only for his hand to be shoved away, and it felt like a little bit more contact would have ripped his arm off. Not like it nearly pulling it out of its socket, it took a couple of seconds to get the feeling back in his shoulder.

"Obviously do not touch the barrier, the contact builds the longer you touch it, enough contact could potentially rip you to pieces, and I need you all in one piece," Mitsuko said, nearly face-palming, but instead reaching into her pocket, and pulling a weird ornate glove with gemstones embedded in its fingers, and a gold eye in its palm, in carved into the eye was the royal crest of Satapia. "You need to be wearing one of these, a D-Arc glove, it's the key to unlocking the door through the storm" she reached out with the gloved hand, she chanted something in a strange-sounding language, till a hand-shaped symbol appeared in the storm, she pressed her hand into it, and continued to chant, and a door now appeared and slid open with a creaking noise, the kingdom of Satapia was now visible, after a small bridge, everything looked like it was carved out of polished red marble, Mitsuko crossed through the gate, followed by the Digidestined, and then the rebels, after going through the wind was none existence, and neither was it visible, the gateway was gone, looking up the sky was its usual blue.

"Welcome to the kingdom of Satapia, the city in the storm," Mina said, looking happy to be home again, but with an edge of nervousness.

"And how I miss being home too" Arteku said, finally speaking up again, placing a hand on Mina's shoulder, trying to bring calm to the girl.

"teeeee…Arteku, what do we do now" the rebel said, but stopped after the question elicited a scowl from Arteku, for some unknown reason.

"First we get some rest, there's an abandoned warehouse, over there, it should still have a well," Mina said, asking everyone to follow her, and they did quietly making their way through alleyways and vacant homes, till they reached a building still appearing as carved out of marble but with metallic doors, Sunmon burned the lock, and melted husk fell to the ground with an audible thud, then Takajin opened the door, and went in followed by everyone else. It was big enough inside to fit all their tents and enough to give space to those that didn't have them, Mina started a fire, and warmed her hands over.

"During the war, my people were slave labor, over at the kingdom that Satapia was fighting, I owe the royal family my life, I am willing to die to save her", Mina said, looking up from the fire, making eye contact with Huang "So I can't say how much of gratitude you have for protecting Mitsuko"

"Tomorrow morning, we will take a secret passage to the Guard chamber out, this route would have been used to get the royals out, this was the passage Mitsuko used to escape," Arteku said, pulling out a map, and showing the DigiDestined the route.

"Would Queen Anarchy know this route?" Juniko asked, looking at the map and studying its details "She had to have gotten in some way"

"She got in pretending to be one of the staff that worked at the castle, she killed one of the queen's attendants, and took their place, so no she doesn't know of this secret passage" Arteku replied, rolling up the map.

Mikuni raised an eyebrow, and looked at "it doesn't matter to what we plan, wouldn't that guard room be filled with guards, and wouldn't we be putting Mitsuko's life in danger by taking her in there?" she asked not taking her eyes off Arteku.

"the princess needs to be there, she is key to the storm, by putting her blood on the Eye of the storm she retakes the kingdom, you need remove Anarchy from her path to it" Mina answered this time, shyly not making eye contact with anyone.

"That face in the flame, you said was truly evil, we need to wipe that kind of thing off this planet in the name of justice," Huang said turning to face Mikuni, with determination in his eyes, then the two of them bumped fists.

"You know me too well, as a champion of justice, I'll see to this evil comes to an end, before it can hurt anyone else," Mikuni said, before bumping fists with the rest of the DigiDestined there. "When the beating of your heart, echoes beating of the drums, there's the life about to start When tomorrow comes"

-Tomorrow-

The sun crested in the distance, giving light to the world, it glowed in the sky like the flame of rebellion being symbolically being lit, it was a brand new day, it promised to be one to remember, some of the rebels going with the princess who will take the secret passage, others being decoys with a fake princess, who will storm the front gate of the castle, Mikuni, Huang, Takajin and Juniko will go with the real princess, while the rest of the digidestined go with the fake one, who will be played by Mina, the Passage group would enter it, as soon as the other group signals that the distraction had begun, things were about to get dicey, and could go wrong in so many ways it was impossible to know all possible outcomes. Arteku guided group one to the passage, Mina took the other group to the gate, and they stormed the gate as planned, her Digimon partner sending up the flare, a tower of fire so intense that anyone within several miles could see it even in the mornings light. Arteku saluted the fire and entered the passage followed by the rest of the group. Moments later inside the passage, and every inch of it, looking alike, a seemingly infinite spiral of lefts and "rights, making the DigiDestined there start to wonder if they were stuck in a time loop

"We are almost at the guard room near the throne room, hopefully, it's empty because of the ruckus the other team is doing since the royal guard would want to recapture the princess," Arteku said, stopping everyone behind him, before going towards the wall in front of them, and running his hand along it, till something made a clicking sound and causing it to slide away. They all entered the guard room, and there was no one in sight, the plan had worked and the guards were probably dealing with stuff at the main gate, they slowly made their way through the guard room, and they then entered a long very ornate hallway covered in paintings that were most likely royal ancestors, leading to a set completely golden doors, he then pressed curtain parts of it, till it clicked as well, and swung inwards, revealing the throne room decorated in gold and purple, standing in front of the throne was a woman with brown hair, she had an amused smirk on her pale-skinned face.

"We are here to take you down," Juniko said, as she took a step towards "Queen Anarchy, your reign of terror is over" she stopped talking when the woman chuckled a bit "What is so amusing?"

"What I find amusing is I am not Queen Anarchy!" The woman said, gesturing behind Juniko,

Juniko turned around and the rebels, that had come with them including Arteku, were now pointing their weapons at the DigiDestined, and a laugh came from the center of it, it was Mitsuko, walking out of the crowd, ignoring the confused looks of the rest of the DigiDestined that were giving her, as she went passed them.

"No I am Queen Anarchy, Welcome to the end of the DigiDestined, the rest of the DigiDestined have likely been captured already, and on the way to the dungeon, for tomorrow we will execute you, with one of you being exempt depending on your answer," Mitsuko said, before turning to Huang" I invite you to be my fiancé, so you can become my king to rule by my side, but you would have give up being a DigiDestined, I'll crush your Digi chip for, my servant Trinia will give you your Suter crown"

"Digi Synchronization, Courage chip activate" Mikuni shouted, after leg sweeping the person pointing their weapon at her and her Digimon partner digivolved into Kazeleporimon, who went to attack Mitsuko, its eyes shimmer red, and stopped moving. Takajin followed suit digivolving his partner to Apollomon, even his eyes shimmer, both the Digimon turned and started to attempt to attack their own DigiDestined partner.

Huang stared at this confused, hesitant about digivolving, he had no clue what was going on, why the DigiDestined Digimon were turning on them like this, that's when he noticed Mitsuko's shimmering the same color the Digimon partners had before they turned against them.

"I may suggest giving an answer I want, I really don't want to hurt you," Queen Anarchy said, gesturing to Trinia holding a crown, "look I can control elemental Digimon, so don't make me take over yours as well"

Huang doesn't answer, but he puts his digivice and chip away, locking his eye with Queen Anarchy, and not moving an inch toward or extending his hand towards the crown.

"You don't have to answer me now I guess I can give you that, this is a bit too much to deal with now, once we defeat your friends, we will lock you in the cell with them till you can if you will be my king or not," Queen Anarchy said, before turning away from Huang, "You are completely surrounded, your rebellion never existed You have lost Its ALL OVER!"

"Only thing that's over is your Reign of Terror," Mikuni said, bringing her quarterstaff down on Queen Anarchy, only to be intercepted by a pair of tonfas, wielded by Mina.

"I like and I don't wish to hurt, but I will not let you harm my queen," Mina said, as her Digimon partner materialized beside her, which was a Meramon, that set Mikuni's quarterstaff ablaze, causing her to drop it. "Your fellow DigiDestined that didn't come with you here, are already in a cell, in the next couple of seconds the order will be given to have them executed"

"We have no choice but to throw down our weapons and comply," Juniko said, sliding her digivice to Mina, but not her Digi chip, Mikuni did the same but with an expression on her face, that said you will regret this insult, Takajin followed suit, and the last one to hand over their digivice was Huang in a way that made him look heartbroken.
