Chapter 11
When I fell asleep, I soon found myself in a black room with multiple different chairs around a table, with the different kids being in them minus the owners of the green soul and yellow soul. And they looked at me in confusion as I then sat at the table that had a black heart on it.
"So... what is this? A dream of some kind?" Bete asked in confusion as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know myself... and I really need to know if you guys will be able to become who you used to be when we get out of this place," I said, them looking at each other and then at me.
"I'd like that, but I don't know if my body would be good for that... it's uh... it got cremated," Brutis said, me nodding at that.
"I meant that I'd give your souls to monsters that I trust," I said, that making Chara smirk.
"Minus me, because I don't have mine anymore," Chara pouted.
"Really? Then why do I see one on your chair?" Qwerter asked, Chara looking at her chair and seeing a soul of red with a white border, which made her gasp.
"I... How?" she asked as I then heard the telltale computer garbage noise as Gaster then appeared in front of us in the flesh, him having some of his body being glitchy and pixelated in the process, but still realistic. And the kids looked at him in concern as I smiled.
"It is because of me. And you're welcome, princess," Gaster said, me looking at him with a smile.
"So... am I strong enough to free you from the void yet?" I asked, him smiling at me.
"Whenever you unfused the Amalgamates from each other, you managed to weaken the effects of the void on not only myself, but others that have been lost there. And because of that, I'm able to reform as myself, but only if I were to give Chara a new body," Gaster spoke, which made Chara confused.
"So I have to share my body with a skeleton?... What's the catch?" Chara asked in confusion.
"The catch is simple. We have to share our newfound body... and when we fuse our minds together, we will be reformed as whoever is the stronger between us. I do not know if it will be my body or your body that appears, but know if it is the latter, the flower will be even more determined to try and kill all of you," Gaster said, Chara looking at me and me smiling.
"Okay, I agree, then. I need to be able to apologize to him in person..." Chara said, me smirking as she then simply gawked at how Gaster then went inside of her body... and we all saw that she reformed as who she used to be and that her soul returned to her body, it being combined with Gaster's!
"Wow... you're stronger than him? That's so cool..." Flower said with a smile as I then went to her and gave her a hug, her being surprised at that before hugging me back.
"I'm going to try everything I can in order to reunite you with your parents, Flower... promise," I said, her smirking at me at that.
"And we'd like it if we could be shown where our current relatives are, per chance. Sure, they won't know us at all, but we'd like to see them again, y'know?" Bete asked, me nodding at her.
"I don't care about that... I just want to be alive again. Nobody's going to care about me," Brutis sighed.
"I care," I said, him then giving me a fist bump.
"Thanks, Malory," he smirked at me.
"Well, then there's only one question left. How do we save Flowey when he's been doing nothing but bad things? If not for him and your knowledge of what the future holds, Alphys would've quite easily killed herself," Qwerter asked with seriousness.
"Only one thing I can think of, but I don't know if it'd work or not," I said, Chara looking at me with seriousness.
"What would that be?" she asked.
"It's one of two things. One, he'll steal your souls that are at Asgore's castle to become a god, using the souls of every monster in the Underground to do so... or two, I try to convince him to take one soul instead and see what happens," I said. Flower then spoke up at that.
"I'd be the one willing to give him my soul... from what I've seen in your thoughts when speaking with Chara, he lacks a soul, which makes him unpredictable... I've been around the least of all of us, so my soul still has more power than the others... maybe I can force emotion into him," she said, me smiling at her.
"You're a very brave girl, Flower. I still want to give you a medal or some kind of recognition for being so brave, even in front of Asgore," I said, her smiling at me.
"I'm very mature for my age, I know... my parents taught me to be kind and patient above all else... I knew that someone would come down, and hopefully, with all of us fallen humans in Asgore combined, we could've convinced him to not go to war with the humans... but now? You could very easily do so," she said, me smirking at her as we then felt the dreamscape crumble and we woke up.
"BABA-BADABABA! BABA-BADABABA!" shouted an incredibly loud version of Undyne's voice on an alarm clock, singing her theme in the process. I then groaned awake and was surprised at how, right on top of me, was Chara! And... she looked uh...
"Black and white? What?" I asked. But then, Chara woke up... and immediately screamed and pushed me off of the bed and coated herself in the covers. Why? Because she was naked!
"WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!" she asked in shock as Gaster's voice then appeared.
"It's because of me making us our own self... apologies about the loss of color, it's just what happens when you combine your strengths with that of a monster," Gaster said, causing Undyne to slam through the door and look at us with seriousness.
"WHAT'S GOING ON?! I HEARD SCREAMING!" Undyne shouted, her then looking to the covers and being confused. "Who's that?! Show yourself right now, punk!" Undyne growled as she prepared a spear, but I held her off, me Chara then revealing her head and me speaking.
"Um... while we were asleep, one of the children in my head was able to reform as their old self by receiving their original soul from the other side, courtesy of a specific former Royal Scientist," I said, Undyne gawking at that.
"Former Royal Scientist?... It couldn't be Gaster, could it?!" she asked.
"Indeed, it is I in the flesh... even more so now than even when I was alive," Gaster said from Chara's head as she then looked very peeved.
"Okay, I need clothes and I need them now! GET OUT!" Chara shouted, Frisk, me, and Undyne then leaving the room and moving to the kitchen/living room, me smelling breakfast on the table in the form of omelets and bacon.
"I made some breakfast for you, but I only made enough for two... I didn't know that we'd get another mouth to feed overnight," Undyne said in embarrassment.
"Neither did we," I admitted. "But I can get them something else," I said as I then proceeded to search on the surface and eventually found what I wanted. Fresh breakfast food from McDonalds, me getting an egg McMuffin and placing it along with some apple fries and chocolate milk on the table for Chara, them then coming out of the room wearing some of Undyne's regular clothes, in the form of a black tank top, a matching bra, and jeans that were cinched with a very tight belt because they were a couple sizes too big on her.
"Please don't say a word if you saw anything, got it?" Chara frowned at us.
"I didn't see a thing, just the fact that you were about 14," I said, them frowning at me saying that.
"What's that supposed to mean? You're saying I'm short? Small size?" she asked.
"No, just that you're developing," I pouted.
"I told you I prefer they," Chara pouted as THEY went to the table to where the egg McMuffin was and smelled it in confusion. "What's this?"
"An Egg McMuffin from McDonald's. An egg, cheese, and a slab of ham in between two english muffins," I smiled, them then rolling their eyes and eating it... before they got big eyes from how good it tasted. "See? Good, huh?"
"Delicious..." they cooed before then eating the rest, including the apple fries and the chocolate milk as Frisk and I ate our omelets and bacon, as we were, indeed, hungry.
"Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I saw something on the TV while you were asleep," Undyne said, me looking at her in confusion. "Apparently, this weirdo guy Mettaton had a news report shortly before you woke up. It didn't mention anything about the monsters that were rescued from Alphys's lab, just that there were 2 very dangerous humans that were loose in the Underground. And that if anyone saw them, they were to be detained and killed, because they have enough strength to destroy a universe. I think the same guy who messed with Alphys is messing with him, so be careful, got it?" she said, me nodding at that.
"It's a talking flower that has no soul, and it being a secret experiment from Alphys she didn't tell anyone about," I sighed.
"Yeah, she mentioned that to me whenever you were sleeping. Anyways, any ideas how you're going to get to Asgore without getting past Mettaton?" Undyne asked, me smiling at that.
"Sorry, but I don't want to risk someone wanting to kill me when I rescue the Underground, spreading lies like that in the process. I'm going to-" I was about to say before I then saw the television come on and the channel to be MTT News.
"Newsflash, beauties and gentlebeauties! A third human child has been sighted in the Underground that is said to be even more dangerous than the two that we mentioned previously! Here are their pictures," Mettaton said as he then showed the mugshots... and I gawked at how each of our faces were taken from Alphys's hidden cameras and they were of the worst freeze-frames you could possibly imagine! So we all looked hideous! "As you can see, the third human is black and white, which a reliable source has claimed is because they have absorbed a monster soul into their body! Please take extreme caution! If they've killed before, they will certainly kill again!" he said, me then frowning at that as I then sensed for Flowey, and I then saw that he had been watching us via something that was attached to me. It was a small bit of pollen! And I then dusted it off of me before then warping it back to sender, me growling at that.
"That damn flower has been spying on us this whole time!" I shouted.
"How?!" Chara gawked.
"He placed pollen on us and has been using that like a camera to know what we say and what we do. It's why he was able to know about Chara being her own self now and how they have a monster soul in them in the form of Gaster! We need to be on round-the-clock surveillance for any kind of interference from him from her on out," I said, the group nodding at that.
"I'll come with you to Hotland, then, as much as I hate it. I'm gonna need some spare water to take with me when we go there," Undyne said, me proceeding to get her some in the form of two large jugs of water from outside the barrier, her smirking at them and holding on in each hand. "So you can bring things from outside the barrier, huh? How about going through it?" she asked.
"I can go through the barrier at any time, but I'm not leaving until everyone can," I said.
"Heh. You've got a big heart," Undyne smiled as Frisk then gave me something that she found, it being in the form of a pan. And when I saw it, I saw that it was from Undyne's stove and was very burnt. "Oh, that? I found it outside of Alphys's house one day. No idea who it belonged to, so I took it to cook with," Undyne said, me then having a feeling to touch it... and the moment I did so, I felt the memories flood into me... it was time to be led like a blind woman for a bit... but I did say one thing before we moved forward.
"Take me to Temmie Village first," I said before I felt my mind go to that of the green soul of kindness.
