Chapter 15
"So, how'd it go?" Tsunderplane asked with her usual blush, me smirking at her.
"The food was great, and I now have a huge responsibility on my shoulders. When the barrier breaks and we try to reintegrate back into human society, I need to make absolutely sure that nobody gets hurt," I said, her nodding at that.
"Yeah... especially since most monsters look creepy to humans," she said with a sigh.
"You don't. You're adorable," I smiled, her giggling and blushing before then speaking.
"I really want to retort... but we both know the truth," she admitted.
"Right... now let's go. I want my new body!" Flower smirked.
"So do all of us, but we want to be in monsters, unlike you," Qwerter spoke.
"Out of context, that would be problematic to say," I smiled.
"Shut up," Bete pouted in my head. We then finally proceeded to the CORE, where Gaster took temporary control of Chara and then sniffed in and out again.
"Ah... my darling CORE... it's a shame that I could not be around to see it completed... it was during a test that I fell into the super-hot plasma that powers the Underground with electrical magic... I should've told my assistant to be patient," he smiled.
"Who was this assistant?" I asked him.
"He's long gone by now, that much is assured. He had a child in the form of Alphys and, as it goes with monsters, him and his wife perished shortly after giving her all of their strength during birth," Gaster explained.
"Poor Alphy, not being able to have her parents into adulthood," I sighed.
"It's the same with almost all monsters. The only ways it can be stopped is if one of the parents is stronger in magic, they can survive afterwards while the other perishes. If both are boss monsters, it won't affect them at all. And if the child happens to perish before they come of age, the parents get all that magic back to them and can try again, but it's difficult for most," Tsunderplane explained.
"That would explain why Asgore and Toriel are still around after Asriel died... poor things," I sighed.
"Yeah, I hate it, too... but like I said, when Asgore sees me in person, despite my new look, he'll be so shocked that he'll most likely call off the plans," Chara smiled as we then came across the different workers of the CORE, all of them trying to stop us, me knowing why just by Madjick's words.
"There they are! We must prevent them from killing Asgore!" he said with seriousness, me simply protecting my allies from their attacks and moving forward through the entirety of the CORE. And finally, before we reached Mettaton, Astigmatism and Lady Whims stopped the attacks with two words.
"HEY! They saved our lives from eternal torture! I'd suggest doing something else instead of hurting our rescuers!" Lady Whims said with bravery before then getting very scared again, me smiling and simply petting her with a conjured hand, her shivering at the feeling before I smiled at her.
"It's okay, Lady Whims. We can handle ourselves... don't overexert yourself," I said, her sighing at me.
"T-Thanks..." she said, me nodding at her. We then finally went to Mettaton's room at the CORE, him then looking at us with seriousness on his single wheel.
"Well, well, darlings. It appears you've managed to make it far. But unfortunately, I cannot allow you to go to Asgore. I feel the audience needs to see you reformed, don't they?" he asked, me nodding as I could sense it. He was ready to perform and ready to make me look good and hammy.
"Let's do it. I'll give you the knowledge of what to do when we perform. It's time to dance," I smirked as Mettaton then flipped his switch and then turned into his new form, me being surprised at how, instead of being Mettaton EX, it was Mettaton Neo!
"Don't be upset if I accidentally hurt you, darlings. The human eradication functions are still there, but barely," he said.
"No worries. Now, announcement time," he said, Mettaton then hitting it.
"Lights! Camera! Action!" he shouted as he then got onto the cameras all over and we then started to play the music of my choice with my mind on the radio, it being In the Final from Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story!
"Beauties and Gentlebeauties! Join me as I try to stop these humans from hurting any lives! SHOWTIME!" Mettaton smirked as he then shot a flurry of attacks at us, me then answering back with some shots from my magic, making a bunch of explosions afterwards! It was time to sing and dance!
"~Let your hopes and dreams all die!
My dark soul will shine and will force monsters to cry!
Inside the hearts of man, the monsters are but fairytales!
You deal with a power ever-growing like a whale!~" I sung as we danced in coreography of all three of us versus Mettaton, our attacks doing nothing to him as we then faked getting hurt by his attacks as it was time for Mettaton's verse.
"~Hopes and dreams will still survive!
Underground will strive!
To defeat your vile lives!
Mettaton will stop your hate!
Stop you before it's too late!
This is your final date!~" Mettaton sung before then stopping Frisk with a purple attack and her then gasping in theatrics before then pretending to be struggling as I then caused a shine to emerge from her.
"~And in the final hour of fading light!
You made me open my eyes!
I'll fight by your si-i-ide!~" Frisk sung out, her being a very good soprano before then joining Mettaton's side, as the fight continued, and they then did the same to me and Chara.
"~And in the final hour our star will shine!
Mettaton's power collides!
In this final fi-i-ight!~" Mettaton sung before then trapping me and Chara and I then faked our darkness leaving our souls as I then faked getting beat up by Mettaton's leg jets on his back like the final hits from Bowser versus Dark Bowser, me then faking a bunch of pain as I showed a bunch of pseudo darkness to exit my body and for my body to be filled with light afterwards, me then falling to the ground and for Frisk to look at me with concern.
"Malory! Are you okay?" she asked, me smirking at that.
"Y-Yeah... so-so..." I said with a thumbs-up before then sighing. "The darkness is gone now... thanks, Mettaton... the star of the Underground," I said, Mettaton then smirking as he then turned to the cameras with a smile.
"Well, well, beauties and gentlebeauties! I have managed to reform the humans to be who they were previously! Their darkness has now been defeated with the power and light of the Underground's star! Thank you for all the views and have a good night!" Mettaton smirked before the cameras went down and Mettaton then took a knee, me smiling at him. I could see in the hearts of all the monsters that they were relieved, confused, or amused at the performance, me then going into the minds of all of them and clearing it all up. Explaining the situation in full, about how a bad person gave false information to Mettaton about me and the other humans, how we'd managed to save the test subjects from Alphys's lab, and how we came up with this idea to get those who were convinced from the broadcast that we were not bad guys. And all of them understood completely.
"Okay, that's all done and over with... now I'm in low-power mode... it's been fun, darlings," Mettaton smiled as I then simply looked at him and gave him some electrical strength into his battery, him then sighing afterwards. "Thanks for the juice... can you send me to Doctor Alphys now? So I can get my body finished?" he asked, me nodding at him.
"I think I could do so myself right now," I smiled as I then used my magic mastery to edit his body and battery power to the point his EX-form would be shown and that he'd be 100 percent perfect, him looking at me in surprise before then smirking at me.
"You're a miracle worker with that magic stuff... how about, instead, you send me to Blook farms?... I want to visit my uh... friend," he said, me smirking at that.
"You mean cousin," I smirked, him sighing with a smile. "Yes, I can do that in my sleep," I smirked as I then teleported him to Blooky's house, me then going forward with Chara, Tsunderplane, and Frisk to the elevator, us going to it and pushing the button to send us to New Home. And then we heard the hum of the elevator as I then spoke to the others.
"Did you guys have fun there? Because I did," I smirked.
"I'll admit, it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be," Chara smirked.
"I had fun for sure, hehe," Frisk smiled.
"I wish I could've performed as well, but it was fun being an audience member to a performance like that," Tsunderplane smirked. We then finally heard the elevator ding as we then exited and I saw that we were in the entry for New Home, us going forward and me then calling up Toriel with my mind, alongside all the others in my friends list.
"Hey, I'm at the castle now. Could you guys come here now? I want you to see me break the barrier," I smiled.
"Oh my! I-It's time already?... Okay, I'll warp over right away," Toriel said as Papyrus then spoke.
"NYEHEHEH! IT IS TIME FOR THE BIG FINALE! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL COME RIGHT AWAY!" Papyrus said with enthusiasm.
"i'll get there as soon as i can, bud," Sans smirked.
"O-Oh my gosh?! Now?! O-Okay, Undyne, l-let's get on that elevator and get ready to see Asgore..." Alphys said, obviously unprepared.
"NGGAAAHHH! I'm ready!" Undyne shouted in her usual over-the-top manner. And as for the final two that I contacted?
"You want me to show up, too?... Okay, I'll wait for you to teleport me there, then. Sorry for ditching you while you slept, I wanted to spend time with my family," Doge said, me smirking at that. That's why she wasn't around when I woke up at Undyne's place.
"You're gonna break the barrier, aren't you? SWEET! Okay, I'll bring my parents, too, then! They're gonna be sooooo excited! I've told them some awesome stuff about you!" Norm smirked as I then decided to do the daring and directly teleport all of them to my area as we were going through Chara's old house, where she looked around the scene with a smile.
"Still as white as I remember it looking. Geeze, dad, maybe give this place some color in the hundreds of years we've been down here?" Chara asked in annoyance as all the other monsters finally appeared next to us, them looking super surprised at the change of scenery before looking at me, Chara, and Frisk with smiles. But when Toriel saw Chara? She looked like she could barely contain the pure joy she was feeling.
"I-Is it... is it really you, my child?" Toriel asked as she slowly walked towards Chara, her simply smiling and holding her arms out, Toriel then crying tears of joy as she gave her long-lost daughter a big, warm hug. And it was also at this time that I got the different keys at either end of the room as well as a locket in the kid's room that I then handed to Chara, her looking at it with a smile. It was the very same locket that was in the game, shaped like a heart. She then smiled and opened it, me being surprised at how it not only showed a picture of her and Asriel (with her being very shy and hiding behind the flowers even in the photo of her and Asriel) but it also started to play the tune of Memory.
"It still works after so long... let's go find goat daddy," Chara said, Papyrus then speaking to her after.
"YOUR HUMAN FATHER IS A VERY NICE AND HUMBLE MAN, LITTLE HUMAN! HE KNOWS HE CANNOT COMPARE TO THE GREAT PAPYRUS, BUT HE TELLS ME HE WISHES FOR ME TO BECOME A FATHER FIGURE TO YOU SO HE CAN BE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE," Papyrus said, me smirking at his usual personality of being a sunshine baby and very proud.
"It's been ages since I've been here last... and nothing at all has changed," Doge said with a small whine when she saw the place.
"Well, we're not stopping here. We're going right to the king," I smiled, us then going through the chains the whole way to the hall of judgement, me pushing the power button on the elevator to the throne room before moving on, so that people could get here from Hotland when we needed to leave. And then, after walking through the hall for long enough, I saw that all of my allies and I had frozen in time, but I could still see, hear, and speak as Sans appeared in front of me with a smile.
"Welp, the end of your journey is at hand. In a few moments, you'll meet the king of the Underground. But now? You will be judged," Sans said, me sighing at him saying that. "You'll be tried for every amount of EXP you've earned. It stands for Execution Points. Anytime you kill a human or monster, you gain EXP. When you get enough, you'll eventually gain LOVE. LOVE, too, is an acronym. It stands for Level of Violence. The higher it goes, the less you feel. And the more you want to inflict harm to others..." Sans said before then finally smiling and losing the demonic voice.
"but you? you never gained any. now, that doesn't mean you're completely pure. after all, humans in your world are much worse than those in this one. and you may be the reincarnation of an angel, but you are still human... but you didn't get this far just to give up, right?" he asked, me smirking and nodding at him. "yep, you may not have gained any LOVE... but you have love all through you. does that make sense at all?... probably not, huh?"
"I understand. I never gained hatred, I gained kindness... and determination... and justice, pretty much all the colors," I smirked.
"hehehe... yeah, you're right. now, comes the greatest test. i'll say this now, but that flower is going to appear the moment that we get together, hiding in plain sight and stealing the human souls... so, what will you do? let him become a god and possibly destroy all humans and monsters? or will you do something else to dissuade him?..." he asked, me smirking and putting up two fingers. "heh, well, if i were you, malware, i'd have given up a long while ago... now, don't say a word about this meeting or my true nature, okay? especially to paps. i don't think he'd be too excited to learn i'm stronger than him," Sans said, me nodding at that as time then finally resumed and I then found I could move my body again, me simply walking forward the rest of the way to the throne room, me looking at the others with a smile.
"You guys ready? Chara, front and center, please," I said, her nodding as she then did so, but I could tell she was shy.
"I... What do I do when he sees me?... I'm kind of embarrassed... he's not seen me since I died, what's he going to say?" Chara asked, me smiling at her.
"We didn't come this far to chicken out, kid. And sometimes, ya gotta bite the bullet and go with your gut feeling. What's your gut feeling telling you?" I asked her.
"I... it's to tell him the truth... tell him what really happened that day... I'm not ready, but it needs to happen," Chara said, us then following her into the throne room as Asgore then poured out the watering can onto the golden flowers. And I could sense Flowey was among them, and in hiding.
"Oh? Is someone there? hold it, I'm almost done..." Asgore said before finally finishing the watering before then turning to us. "Howdy, how may... I..." Asgore gawked at the large crowd before going to the front. And when he saw the form of the original fallen human, he looked at her in small shock... no, big shock. "It... can't be... is it really you, Chara?" Asgore asked, Chara smiling and nodding.
"It's me, daddy..." Chara said before then running forward and giving him a hug, Asgore being surprised at the sudden hug, me seeing that he looked at our group with surprise, but not so much more than Chara and Toriel.
"T-Tori... how... how is this possible?" Asgore asked as I simply cleared my throat and he looked at me in the eyes.
"It's because of me being the prophecy. I managed to revive her consciousness from the void and then, through a LOT of complications, managed to find her soul and a monster to give her a body... and said monster is also one you know of," I said, him looking at Chara before then gawking.
"Doctor Gaster?! How the... HOW?" he asked, totally dumbfounded.
"Because of the prophecy. Her name is Malory Wares. I owe her everything," Gaster smirked as he pointed Chara's finger to me and I simply smiled... but I then felt it. Flowey had done the thing I didn't want. He'd found the human souls and got them on his person! I immediately placed protective shields around not just them, but all the people Underground! And just in time, as Flowey then summoned a ton of vines that shot through the room to try and grab onto everyone, but the only one they managed to grab was the only one not trapped in a bubble. And that was me.
"MALORY!" Frisk shouted as I felt the thorns pierce through my skin and cause some blood to come out of my body, mainly in my sides and arms.
"YOU IDIOT!" Flowey snickered as he then appeared in front of us with a sinister smile. "I can't believe how stupid you are! While you had your little pow-wow, I got the human souls! And now, I have the strongest soul in the Underground all for myself! And you know what? It's all because of you!" Flowey snickered before Chara then did somegthing that made his laughter die down. She opened the locket, her being very close to Flowey, so he could hear it plain as day. "T... That... that tune..." he gawked before then looking to Chara and then frowning. "Close that thing, now," he said.
"Or what?" Chara pouted at him.
"I said CLOSE IT!" he shouted.
"Funny, you trying to force me to do something? Seems the exact opposite of that fateful day, doesn't it?" Chara asked.
"What are you talking about, Chara?" Asgore asked, Flowey looking to be emitting sweat from his petals at Chara's smile.
"Why not let him tell you," Chara said as she pointed at Flowey.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about!" Flowey said as I felt it. He was starting to lose his fury at the song. But I also felt something happen to me.
With every bit of blood that left my body, I felt my power leaving me... it had already been drained by 3 percent and it was getting faster as time went on.
"Yes you do..." I said as I then tried to summon more of my power, gaining some strength as I proceeded to let my wings out! And when I did, everyone gawked as, with every wing that came out, Flowey gasped as his grip loosened on me. "Bravery!" I shouted as the first wing came out. "Justice!" the second one. "Integrity!" number three, and Flowey started to waver as his form started to have something happen to it. His one left leaf had turned into a furry goat hand. "Perseverance!" the fourth one caused his other leaf to turn into the other hand.
"Stop! Don't do it!" he shouted at me.
"Kindness!" I shouted as the fifth wing came out, his roots emerging and turning into feet.
"This... it can't be..." Toriel gawked as Doge did the same.
"This isn't happening... this can't be real!" she said with a whimper.
"Patience!" the sixth wing came out, and Asriel's stem turned into its furry form and I placed clothes on them.
"NO!" Flowey shouted. But his voice was different. Hearing it, Asgore gawked immediately. It was hard to hear the voice of your only son!
"DETERMINATION!" I shouted as all the wings emerged and Flowey's petal-filled head turned into the head of his goat form, him then having tons of tears on him as all the thorns had been whithered away, leaving a bit of a wreck in the throne room.
"You... You..." Asriel said before then looking at me with seriousness. "You. Are. DEAD!" Asriel shouted, him then doing something shocking. He took a soul that was from the armor that Frisk wore and then, the moment he did so, everyone was shocked as his form then shifted from his kid form to his adult, god form. And when this happened, I knew that I had to do something.
"Asriel Dreemurr," I said, him growling at me as the room became engrossed with bright lights.
"SHUT UP! You ruined everything! Now I am going to make you pay!" Asriel shouted at me as he proceeded to send a deluge of stars at me and everyone, me gawking at how the stars could actually damage the shields, me then warping everyone out of the way, including Chara and Frisk, me then facing off with Asriel and dodging all of his stars before then rushing him and zapping him with some electricity, him being shocked at how the result was him taking 5 damage, which was only because I wanted him to learn a bit of hurt, showing that I could indeed do that.
"That's your warning shot, prince! I'd suggest stopping right now before I make you feel even more emotions!" I shouted, him growling at me as he then sent forth a ton of the lightning bolts, me knowing to dodge them as I looked in his mind to see where the lightning would come from, me dodging each of them like I were in a DBZ fight before then going up to Asriel and stuffing something in his face that I'd teleported to my grasp, it being some Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie!
At first, when I did this to him, he looked at me in anger and annoyance... then he tasted it. And his eyes went wide for a few seconds. "M-Mom's pie... it..." he was about to say before then getting angry again. "NO! I don't want them to see me like this! SO, STAY STILL!" Asriel shouted as I then decided to take him on that offer and standing still, him shooting his special gun at me, which I took all of them with a forcefield around my body before then reflecting the rainbow blast back at him, him gawking as he then flew to the wall against the back of the room and gawked at how his own attack made him take 30 damage, it making his health drain a bit visibly this time.
"You're only hurting yourself by doing this, Azzie! We can get through this together," Flower said to him with my mouth, him gasping before then frowning.
"Don't tell me what to do, you little brat!" he shouted, him then grabbing his Chaos Sabers and me then responding by grabbing my own swords from outside the barrier in the form of two large claymoors that were in a museum, me then going into a blade dance with him, but never once attacking him with the blades. I simply grabbed his two blades and slashed them in half, me then going to Asriel and teleporting something to his hands that he was shocked at. It was a buttercup, him looking at it and then at me in annoyance.
"Asriel, we both know you can feel positive emotions. Remember the kid you used to be, not the flower you became," I said, him gulping as I could sense it. He was feeling emotions again, but then, as expected, he brushed them off. "Not gonna budge? Fine, I'm going to do something different, then," I said as I then went into his mind and proceeded to do something that he wouldn't like. I gave the consciousness of my allies to all of their respective souls in him (all but the final, it being Hansel's soul). And Asriel then gasped as he then held his head.
"No... Shut up! JUST LET ME WIN!" he shouted before then attacking me with his giant laser blast, me withstanding the blast with a conjured shield of my own god powers, me managing to withstand the blast as I stood strong, not backing down as he continued to blast more. "STOP IT! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! AAAAUUUUGGGHHH!" he shrieked before then stopping his blast, the room we were in now being completely trashed. And he then sniffed as he felt all the emotions of the children inside of his body. "I... I... i..." he sniffed before then turning back to his child form.
"I'm... I'm so sorry..." he sniffed, me then looking at him with seriousness. "I've always been a crybaby, haven't I?" he asked, me smiling and shaking my head.
"It's nothing to be ashamed of, Azzie. I've cried in the past and still do," I smiled at him, me sensing the others in the outside of the room and them being okay, just bewildered at the powerful attack I blocked.
"I don't want them to know the truth... about who I am... I'm scared... I don't want them to be angry..." he said, me smiling at him.
"Asriel," I said, getting his attention. "There is always going to be something in life that you can't escape. Bullies, bad weather... taxes," I said, the last thing making me breathe in sharply. "But this is one of them. I'm not leaving this mountain unless you get a happy ending, too. Along with all the other human souls," I said, him sighing at me and nodding.
"I understand... if they hate me for what I did, then I'll get what I deserve..." he said, me simply going to him and holding him by the hand, him sighing and holding it tightly.
"Hey, guys? You can come in, now... a certain someone wants to say something to you guys," I said, the group then cautiously coming into the room and looking at Asriel in concern.
"Asriel... is it really you?" Asgore asked, him sighing and nodding.
"Y-Yes... it is..." he said very shyly.
"I can't believe it..." Toriel said with shock, Asriel sniffing as he winced for what came next. He thought they'd all hate him for what he did. He thought he'd be getting the beating of a lifetime. But what happened?
"Our family is finally back together again! It's a miracle!" Asgore shouted in excitement, him then running to Asriel along with Chara, them then having a big hug, which made Asriel cry a bit more and harder, but even more so when he felt Toriel join the hug.
"Can I get some kind of explanation as to how this is possible? I am SO confused," Doge asked for everyone else that wasn't the royal family.
"I can do that easily," I smiled at them. It was time to give them the explanation to end all explanations.
