5. Chapter 5

Chapter 5-Speed Demon on Brake. (Special thanks to incrediblesfan1 for the request!)

Mr. Incredible and Speed Demon climbed out of a pile of rubble. They were locked in an intense battle with Bomb Voyage, who was laughing like mad.

"Vous n'avez aucune chance de me vaincre cette fois!" Bomb Voyage said as he threw bombs at them, which they managed to avoid.

"Oh, yeah?!" Dash asked before he ran full speed at Bomb Voyage, with every intent of beating him into next week, only for Bomb Voyage to take a blaster and shoot him in the leg, causing him to stumble and fall through several piles of rubble.

"All right, Bomb Voyage! Now I'm mad!" Mr. Incredible said before he ran towards the mime, avoiding several blasts and bombs before he reached him and punched him hard in the face, knocking him out cold and straight into a police car, which went off after shutting the doors.

"Speed Demon!" Mr. Incredible said as he ran over. Dash was clutching his leg and trying not to cry.

"I'll be fine, Dad." Dash said before he tried to get up and fell back down, clutching his leg.

"Don't worry. I'll get you to a hospital." Mr. Incredible said.

Later, at the Medical Supers Institute, Mr. Incredible had Dash checked in and looked at. They were now waiting for the doctor to return with the results.

"Okay, Speed Demon, your knee has sustained a bit of damage, especially in the kneecap, but there's no need to worry." the doctor said.

"What do you mean, doctor?" Dash asked.

"Well, with your super speed, your healing ability is sped up as a side effect, which means your leg should be healed in about three days at best." the doctor said.

"Awesome! Then I can fight crime with Dad again!" Dash said.

"Definitely looking forward to it, son." Mr. Incredible said as he put his hand on Dash's shoulder.

Later, as they were heading home, Dash said, "Hey, Dad, thanks for getting me to the hospital as fast as you did."

"No problem, son." Mr. Incredible said as they fist-bumped.

"Especially because I get nervous with an ambulance." Dash said.
