OOps sorry I keep updating the chapter. I keep finding errors I have made. Well, that's what I get for taking such a long break in between chapters. I will continue to add chapters until I have completed the story. I really do not like leaving things undone and this story has been on my mind ever since. Anyways the mistake I made was Randy is not supposed to know who Sherri wants revenge against, not yet anyway. So I deleted that part where he tells Nikki. I will make sure to reread before releasing the next chapter. Thanks for your patience.

"Where are you going?" asked Miss Elizabeth in disbelief. She had followed Sherri after they had left Nikki in the room with Randy. Sherri started fixing her hair and make-up once she entered her bedroom as if nothing.

"I have errors to run," Sherri replied nonchalantly.

"At a time like this!" Miss Elizabeth shouted.

"Look, I am meeting with JBL to break things off, and I have my doctor's appointment. Besides, Nikki will be fine. Randy will not hurt her." Sherri said with annoyance as she continued to look in the mirror, applying her make-up.

"I can't believe you! Are you so consumed with hate that you can't see what you have done? You have literally thrown our baby to the wolves, and what you expect her to thank you!" Miss Elizabeth said with outrage.

Sherri again wondered how she could be friends with Miss Elizabeth. She had no backbone. She was too sweet (yuck) and naive for her own good. Before Sherri could respond, there was a knock at the door. A nervous Brett opened the door.

"Boss, Nathan Orton is downstairs. I left him on the porch. He is asking about his brother and wants to speak to you." Brett said anxiously. "What do you want me to do?"

"Oh My God!" exclaimed Miss Elizabeth.

"I will take care of this," said Sherri irritatingly. "You," she said as she turned to Miss Elizabeth, pointing her finger, "stay here. I don't need you blowing it." Once outside her room, she turned to Brett. "Lock the door and don't let her out until I return. The last thing I need is Miss Elizabeth's conscience getting the best of her. And you are to leave Nicole and Randy alone until I get back. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Boss!" replied Brett as he turned to leave.

Sherri looked at herself in the hall mirror, ensuring her hair and make-up were in place. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves and plastered the best warm smile she could muster.

Nathan paced the DiBiase porch. He had meant to go to town first and look for Randy, but his instincts kept telling him that his brother's disappearance had to do with Nikki Bella DiBiase. This would explain why his clothes were left on the border of their property near the Dibiase land, which meant that Randy was in his wolf form. This made Nathan believe that maybe Randy went to see Nikki. Perhaps DiBiase's men mistook him for a coyote and shot or trapped him. After all, for the past few weeks, Randy had been working in the fields, trying to clear his mind and come to terms with his attraction to Nikki. Nathan had encouraged Randy to court her, but he had said no because Nikki hated Weres and that she was not attracted to him. Nathan found that hard to believe. He knew Nikki flirted with him that night so she could avoid being around Randy. Nathan kept teasing Randy about Nikki until Randy roared at him and told him that he would not go through the pain of losing another mate or becoming involved with another human.

Nathan felt sad for his brother to be cursed for only being attracted to humans. Humans had no clue how ingrained a werewolf's need and desire for their mates. Or how their mate's scent, especially during their heat, drove them crazy with lust that only their mate could satisfy. Or their need to be connected to another in order to make their family. Without a family, a werewolf was nothing. Nathan watched Randy suffer the loss of his mate, and as each year passed, the spark in his eyes diminished along with the hope of finding a mate.

Suddenly a soft breeze brushed over Nathan's body. He could feel the wind going through his hair, causing it to float around his shoulders. Nathan closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. Nathan opened his eyes in surprise. He could smell an omega in heat. Nathan took another deep breath to make sure he wasn't smelling things. The scent was faint, but he could smell it.

His thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of Sherri DiBiase.

"Good Afternoon," Sherri said sweetly as she brought her hand up for Nathan to take. He took a step forward, accepted her hand, and lightly kissed the top. Nathan felt Sherri stiffen from his touch.

"Good Afternoon, Mrs. DiBiase.", Nathan replied politely.

"Please, call me Sherri. And what do I owe the pleasure of your visit" asked Sherri warmly.

Nathan noticed her smile did not reach her eyes. It was as if it was forced.

"I am looking for my brother Randy and was wondering if you have seen him?" Nathan asked, keeping his eyes on her, watching for her reaction.

Sherri gave her best-surprised look as she responded, "No, I have not seen your brother. But why would you think he would be here?" Sherri needed to know what Nathan was thinking.

"Well, my brother spoke to me about wanting to court your daughter, Nicole. I thought perhaps he may have paid her a visit?"

"I see," said Sherri. He knows nothing, she thought. "She has had no visitors."

"Would it be alright if I spoke to Nicole?"

"I am sorry, but Nikki is not feeling well," Sherri replied kindly, trying not to show her delight in the situation.

"Are you sure? It will only take a minute?" Nathan asked desperately.

"She has been resting in bed all day and really can't take any visitors at the moment.", Sherri stated firmly with finality.

Nathan was taken aback by her firmness. "Oh, ok, but when she is feeling better, can you please ask her if she has seen my brother? My family is worried about him."

And they should be, Sherri thought. "Of course, if I see him, I will let him know you are looking for him. I don't mean to be rude, but you caught me on my way out." Sherri said politely as she led him by the arm down the stairs of the porch.

Nathan turned to go to his car but stopped and turned back to look at Sherri again and asked his last question, "One more thing Mrs…, I mean Sherri have you seen a light grey dog or wolf on your property?"

Sherri gasped as if she were frightened, "Dear God, no. Is that your brother's wolf form?"

"Yes."

"Isn't it prohibited by Charter Law for a Werewolf to be in their wolf form on land owned by humans?"

"Yes. Again thank you for your time", Nathan replied as he walked toward his car. He couldn't help but feel this was an act for his benefit that Sensational Sherri was hiding something.

Randy woke up. His body felt exhausted but relaxed. Then he smelled her and felt her warm body clinging to his. Nikki's naked body was pressed against the right side of his body. Her head lay on his shoulder, and one of her arms was draped across his chest. Her long hair covered his torso and her chest. She had her legs intertwined with his. He couldn't help but think how perfectly she fit against him. Randy felt happy until he began realizing the danger they were in and that Nikki hated Weres. He had so many questions. Did Nikki know she was a werewolf? If she didn't, how was it kept from her? What part of Sherri's revenge plan did Nikki play a role? Who did Sherri want revenge against, and why?

But most importantly, how would Nikki react when she woke up? His seam and claiming of her would calm her omega, giving her time to clearly think about the events of earlier. Instead of the delirium of pain and want from her heat that she was experiencing when first brought into the room. Would she reject him and her nature? Or would she welcome her mate? Randy wasn't sure, but he thought it would probably be best if she didn't wake up with him beside her. So, as hard as it was for Randy, he disentangled their limbs and crawled out of bed. He searched the room for the towel that Brett had used to cover his nakedness, and when he found it, he covered himself and went and sat next to the bed, looking at a sleeping Nikki.

Nikki felt groggy and disoriented. Her body ached, especially between her legs and neck, and shoulder. However, she no longer felt the cramps and heat coming from her core and vaginal area. Did she imagine it or did Randy and she have sex? Nikki slowly opened her eyes. The room was dimly lit, and there didn't seem to be any windows. Nikki turned her head to see Randy Orton's blue eyes staring at her. Nikki yelped and scooted away from Randy but was stopped when her back hit the bed's headboard. She looked down at her naked figure and grabbed the blanket to cover herself. "Where am I?" Nikki asked in a trembling voice. "Why am I naked? Why are you naked?!"

Randy took a step toward Nikki. "Nikki, you are my mate."

"What the hell are you talking about?" asked Nikki in confusion. Randy reached out a hand to touch Nikki. He was trying to comfort her and calm her down, but Nikki slapped his hand away.

"Stay away from me. Don't you dare touch me." Nikki yelled as she tightened the blankets around her body.

Randy sighed and took a step back. "I am not going to hurt you. You are my mate."

"Stop saying that! I am nobody's mate." Nikki shouted. Nikki felt a pain where her shoulder and neck meet. She looked down and could see teeth marks. She ran her hand over the teeth marks and looked up at Randy in disbelief. "Yo -You bit me." Nikki shrieked in astonishment.

"It's my claiming bite," Randy said gently. It crushed him to see her face filled with distress and confusion. He wanted to hold her and tell her everything would be alright, but she didn't want him anywhere near her.

Nikki got off on the opposite side of the bed. "I am not cattle that needs a claiming mark," Nikki yelled and then gasped as she saw blood on the bed and realized what the soreness between her legs meant. "You raped me!" Nikki said accusingly.

"I did not rape you, Nicole," Randy said through gritted teeth. Didn't she know he would never hurt her? "You came to me willingly. You presented yourself to me."

"Presented myself? Nikki asked in bewilderment.

"Don't you remember, you were on your knees barring your neck to me with your hands behind your back? You gave me total submission." Randy said as he pointed to where it happened.

"What kind of an animal are you?" Nikki asked disgustedly. But then Nikki's cheeks flushed with shame and embarrassment as images came flooding back. She remembered presenting herself to Randy and him licking her vagina and how good it felt. She started to walk towards the door.

"It's locked," Randy said. "I am a werewolf, and so are you, Nikki."

"I am not a damn dog!" Nikki shouted as she tried to open the door, but it was locked like Randy had said. Nikki started to pound on the door. "Let me out of here! I am Nicole DiBiase! My mother will kill you all for this!" She shouted repeatedly.

"Your mother is the one that put us down here," Randy said loud enough for Nikki to hear.

Nikki turned around and yelled, "Lair! My mother loves me. She wouldn't do this to me." Nikki started to pound on the door again. "Let me out! Let me out!" But nobody was coming to let her out of the room. Nikki started to cry, and after a few minutes of pounding, she slumped to the ground, exhausted.

Randy watched. His heart was breaking, knowing there was nothing he could do to ease her pain. She would not listen to him nor accept his offer of comfort.

Nikki had her back leaned against the door and her arms wrapped around her legs in a sitting position. She looked up at Randy and lowered her eyes, he was naked except for the towel around his waist. "Why have you kidnapped me?" She asked in a calm voice.

"I did not kidnap you. Your mother kidnapped me, and I have been down here for three days without food or water." Randy replied, combing his fingers through his hair. "My family must be sick with worry."

Nikki looked up at Randy. She stared into his dark blue eyes, and something inside her told her he was telling the truth. But it made no sense. Why would her mother lock her up with Randy? And where was Aunt Elizabeth?

"She said she was doing it for revenge."

"Revenge," Nikki whispered. "Wait, how do you know what I am thinking?" Nikki looked at Randy in surprise.

Randy smiled at her. "I can't read your thoughts or anything like that; maybe we will be able to in the future."

"What?!" Nikki asked in surprise.

Randy ignored the question; he did not want to overwhelm her since she didn't seem to know much about being a werewolf. "But I can smell your scent which tells me what you're feeling."

"My scent?" Nikki looked at him skeptically.

"Others can smell our scent, but we give off a different scent only our mates can smell."

"How can you be so sure about this?"

"It's instinctive."

"What if I don't want to be your mate?" Nikki looked up at him defiantly.

Randy frowned at her words. "Don't say that, Nikki. I've been waiting for you all my life. I tried to go against my nature, and believe me. It backfired big time."

"What do you mean?"

"That's a story for another day. Right now, we must figure out how to get out of here before your mother returns."

"But why would my mother do this?" Nikki said in a whisper.

Randy could hear the hurt in Nikki's voice.

"You said she had said for revenge."

"Yes", Randy replied.

"Against who?" Nikki asked.

"I don't know. She wouldn't say."

Before they could continue their conversation, part of the wall near the bed slid open. The opening was about the size of Nikki. Randy immediately pulled Nikki behind him, ready to defend her the best he could. But instead, it was a woman that came out of the opening. Nikki peaked around Randy to see who it was.

"Aunt Elizabeth!" Nikki practically shouted and ran to her aunt's waiting arms. "Ssshhh, Nikki, you don't want the guards to hear you."

"I don't understand what is going on. Where is mother? Randy says mother is responsible for us being down here. Tell him it's not true." Nikki pleaded as she cried into her aunt's shoulder.

Miss Elizabeth felt horrible for what she was about to say. She knew it would devastate Nikki. She looked up at Randy and could see the gentleness and concern in his eyes as he stared at Nikki's crying form. Miss Elizabeth felt hope for the first time. Maybe this mate thing among werewolves was true. Nikki would be safe with Randy.

Miss Elizabeth went to the bed and sat Nikki down. She then sat beside her. "I don't have a lot of time. I must get back before they notice I am gone."

"Who?" Nikki asked worriedly.

"Why, Brett, sweetie." Miss Elizabeth said in her southern accent. Her eyes started to water as she took a deep breath. She held both of Nikki's hands in hers. "One day, I will ask you for your forgiveness, but right now, you must listen and do as I say."

"Yes, of course," Nikki said with apprehension. Her aunt was scaring her.

"Nikki, Sherri is not your mother, and I am not your aunt, by blood anyway." Miss Elizabeth said gently but firmly.

"What?!" Nikki exclaimed as she pulled her hands out of her aunt's hold and stood up from the bed. Randy stood behind Nikki to offer his support. Nikki could feel his heat on her back, and it felt comforting.

Miss Elizabeth raised her hand to stop Nikki from asking more questions. "During the Great War, there was a lot of death and destruction. Sherri and I made decisions at the time that seemed to have made sense but were wrong and done out of pain and grief. Sherri had lost her husband and sons, and I lost my husband and daughters. Then you came into our lives, and you gave us purpose, a reason to live."

"How did I come into your lives?" Nikki asked. Her voice cracked with emotion. Randy put his arm around her waist to let her know he was there for her.

"Your mot - - Sherri found you. Local rebels killed your mother, but you were unharmed. Sherri brought you home, and we have cared for you as if you were our own." Miss Elizabeth said with tears in her eyes.

Nikki's mind was racing. Sherri was not her mother, well, that would explain the lack of affection she got from her mother, no Sherri. Miss Elizabeth said local rebels killed her birth mother, which means…

"What am I?" Nikki asked stoically.

"Nikki, please try and understand-"

"What am I?!" Nikki yelled again.

"You are a werewolf, sweetie." Miss Elizabeth said as she stood up to hug Nikki.

"Don't," Nikki said as she backed away from Miss Elizabeth and into the wall of Randy's chest and started to cry.

"How did you keep Nikki from knowing she was a werewolf?" Randy asked curiously. How could Nikki have never had a clue, he thought.

"Well", Miss Elizabeth said, her cheeks stained red with shame. "Nikki was made to believe she was a sickly child. She has taken medicine for cancer all her life." Before Miss Elizabeth could finish, Nikki interrupted.

"Oh my God! I wasn't taking cancer medication. I was taking suppressants." Nikki said with disbelief.

"Yes," Miss Elizabeth squeaked.

"I never had cancer." Nikki's head started to spin. Her whole life had been a lie. She was made to feel sick and forced to stay indoors, away from others.

"Yes," Miss Elizabeth repeated.

"How could you? How could you both lie to me like this? How could you make me hate what I am, knowing I was not human." Nikki turned around, encircled her arms around Randy's waist, and buried her face in his chest. She cried in earnest, muffling her cries in his chest. Randy embraced her tightly.

"Who was her father?" Randy asked loathingly.

Miss Elizabeth did not want to lie, there had been far too many already, but she was afraid that if Randy knew the truth, he would reject Nikki. Nikki had to get far away from Sherri. There was no telling how far Sherri's hate for werewolves would go. She feared that Sherri could possibly take it out on Nikki.

"I don't know. Sherri never said, and I don't think she knew either." The lie left a bitter aftertaste in Miss Elizabeth's mouth. "Look, you have to leave tonight. I don't know when Sherri is coming home, but I will keep her occupied. The workers in the winery leave at 6 pm." Miss Elizabeth went to the opening and brought out a duffle bag. "I brought you both clothes, and here is a watch." She said as she handed it to Randy. "I assume you know your way home."

Randy shook his head yes.

"Good. This passage will take you to the south side of the winery, and you can make your way home from there. Remember you must leave by 6 pm no later than 630pm."

Randy could hear the urgency in Miss Elizabeth's voice. "Why?" asked Randy.

"Because the passage must be locked, or Sherri will know that a member of her staff helped you two escape. It will mean their death."

"Why should we care?"

"Look, I don't care what happens to me, but the staff was in the dark as Nikki was about her true origins. They are helping because they can see how crazed and unstable Sherri has become, and they also fear for Nikki's safety. They do this because they love her." Miss Elizabeth said firmly.

"Ok," Randy replied. Nikki had stopped crying and turned around to see Elizabeth go.

"Oh, I almost forgot." Miss Elizabeth said as she pulled out a gold necklace with a gold octagon pendant that had a sapphire in the center from her pocket. She held it out for Nikki to take. "It was your mother's, your real mother. I found it in the blanket your mother wrapped you up in." Nikki took the necklace with a trembling hand and rubbed the sapphire with her thumb.

"There are no words I can say to excuse what Sherri and I did. All I can hope for is that one day you can forgive me. Just remember, Nikki, not everything was fake. I love you, and I will always love you." Miss Elizabeth said with sincerity as tears rolled down her cheeks. She hugged Nikki one last time before leaving, closing the hidden door as she left.
