Ray's POV

Charlotte, Henry, Shwoz, and I are at Henry's house preparing for the dinner that Lacy and Roger will be coming to because I got mad. But why should I care about Lacy? I mean I have other more important things to deal with like protecting the city.

Time Skip

Lacy and Roger are here. I open the door and welcome them in. We sit down at the table, and Shwoz brings us the food and drinks. Lacy brags about her brother Rodger while Charlotte and Henry are impressed. I roll my eyes but I keep my mouth shut.

After dinner

Lacy and Roger are about to leave. Roger already went to the car while Lacy and I are on the porch.

"Well Lacy it was good seeing you again." I lie.

"It was good seeing you again too Ray." Lacy says then she leans closer to me.

The closer she gets, the more uncomfortable I get. Before I know it, she kisses me on the lips. My eyes widen and she pulls away after a few seconds.

"I should get going now." She says then gets in her brother's car.

I stay on the porch for a few minutes before going inside. I see Charlotte glaring at me.

Confused I ask, "What did I do?"

"You kissed Lacy and Henry saw you doing it!" She yells at me.

"I didn't kiss her." I say before rushing up the stairs.

Third Person POV

Ray rushes up the stairs to talk to Henry. He opens his sidekick's bedroom door and enters. He closes the door behind him before looking for said sidekick.

"Hen, look it didn't mean anything." Ray calls out after checking the other side of the bed when he didn't see the boy on his bed or on the small couch. "She kissed me." Ray hears a rustle from Henry's closet. He opens it to reveal Henry. "Henry, I promise it meant nothing. Lacy kissed me."

Ray then pulls Henry out of his closet and to his bed. Sitting them down, Ray wraps his arms around Henry. After a few moments, Henry returns the hug.

A minute later, Henry's mom opens the door to her son's room.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Mrs. Hart exclaims shocked to see her son's boss in his room hugging him.
