Valarie shook against the wall. Her stomach was still turning, and her grip was tight on the red knife in her hand. She couldn't close her eyes. Not when she was alone, with no one there to watch her back. "Hey, man! I want a rematch, Valerie Gray!" Elfman yelled as he hurried over to her. She glared at the idiot that thought fighting should always be fair. "When you feel better, I mean," Elfman added. Valerie rolled her eyes.

Valerie finally let the sword go. It dissolved, and the cut on her arm finally stopped bleeding. Her stomach turned, and Valerie screwed her eyes shut for a mere second, trying not to let her lunch come back up again. She barely managed to succeed, having to swallow it back down. Valerie's magic was fighting to right itself after its overuse.

A small squeak. Valerie shouldn't have heard it. Her hand landed on her guild mark, smearing old blood on it. "Mi petegas vin pri potenco. Pruntedonu vian manon," Valerie mumbled. A small wave of relief filled her. If only one of her teammates, her family, was here. Valerie sighs and faces the noise. A man dressed in all white stood in the shadows. His outfit was trimmed in gold, and black shades covered his eyes. Behind him were more men.

She just had to pull out her magic now! He got closer. Valerie shuddered as she fought off a splitting headache. "Hey, watch out!" Elfman shouts. Suddenly she is tumbling backward, a smoky gun trying to fill her hand. Blasts rain down on them as her vision fills with smoke. Valerie growls. The room shakes.

"What in the Tribunalo Ĉefsidejo do you think you're doing? Get out of here!" Valerie hollered. The smoke had cleared out enough for her to see Elfman covered in scrapes and bruises. She lets a shot out, causing a shockwave to push against the agents. They didn't let that stop them, and the group soon fired upon the duo. Valerie tried to return fire as much as possible, and Elfman attempted to use his beast soul on them. The pair wasn't winning.

Feet were pounding against the stone—heavy breathing. Reinforcement was here. "Valerie!" one group shouts. "Elfman!" The other group yells. Smoke fills the room again, and by the time it's gone, the group in white is gone too. The adrenaline is gone, and so is the relief that had disappeared a few minutes ago. Valerie can keep it in no longer. She runs to the closest garbage and throws up whatever is left in her stomach.

A hand is rubbing circles on her back, and Valerie's hair is also being held. "Come on; I'll take you to the infirmary," Jazz suggests. Valerie simply nods. Her vision is fuzzy, but she doesn't miss the group of Fairy Tail members surrounding a kneeling Elfman. He shouldn't have come to find her. He should have just accepted the points, the give.

Danny sat on the ground with his hand gripping his belt. He wiped the sweat from his eye and took a long breath, letting his head tilt back. Valerie had been in trouble. She had already been weak because of him. If she got hurt, then it was his fault. Danny closed his eyes. Could this be a part of someone's plan? "Danny?" Tucker called as he entered the bathroom.

"Here," Danny answered. Tucker walked in, making his way over to his friend. He tossed a water container over to Danny. Danny gulped the liquid down, soothing his dry mouth and burning throat. "So, how bad is Valerie?" Danny asked. His head was hung low, and he fiddled with the bottle.

"She's fine. She has a few scrapes and an empty stomach. You seem to be in just as bad of a condition," Tucker mentioned. Tucker plopped down next to his friend. He planted his hands behind his head. It had been an odd case of misfortune.

"It was my fault!" Danny exclaimed. Danny scrunched his eyes. Tucker's hand landed on Danny's. Danny looked at his friend and saw turquoise eyes staring back. Like always, those eyes were calm and understanding. Danny swallowed. He hated getting his friends hurt.

"It can't be helped, and you know it. We are each other's strengths and weaknesses. We all know what we've signed ourselves up for. At least we were noticed. Now come on, it's time you head to the infirmary. If you and Sam team up, everyone will be back to a hundred percent," Tucker told Danny. Danny gave Tucker a half-smile before they both got up.

"How did it go?" A dark figure asked. The man in white fidgeted as glowing red burned into the man's very soul. "Agent!" The shadowed figure yelled. The agent jumped.

"I'm sorry, sir, but they got away. A group called Fairy Tail got in the way. The good news is that they will be at the magic games until it ends, so we have plenty of time to capture them," the agent offered. He was sweating buckets in front of the figure in front of him. He knew that his boss had little patience. His boss hummed, and the agent watched as he fiddled with a glass of wine.

"Very well, you lot are off the hook this time. Just make sure nobody outside of Amity finds out about us. After all, we don't need the magic counsel breathing down our neck, now do we," The boss asked. The agent paled as he bobbed his head and raced out of the room. The boss smirked. Soon Midnight Calamity would be his to play with, just like the rest of Casper high.

Small blue plants littered the ground by her feet, releasing a fair amount of pollen into the air. Sam hummed as she felt the chill fill the air as she gripped Danny's hand. Each member of Midnight calamity sat close together with their eyes closed as black energy merged with a green one. It slowly expanded, and the ombré energy began to coat each member. They released a small sigh of relief as all of their powers settled themselves and any of their wounds began to heal.

"It looks like we got the attention we were seeking. Those guys in white finally showed their faces again," Sam growled as she gently let go of Danny's hand. Danny nodded as he placed his hand on the ground allowing any excess energy to shoot out and grab onto the flowers, making them wither and die. Sam looked at the plants sadly before looking back at Danny.

"I'm sorry, guys. It was my fault you guys got hurt and that all of this is happening. I shouldn't have gotten you involved," Danny apologized as a hand smacked the back of his head. Valerie glared at her friend.

"None of us would willingly let you do this on your own. Now let's get back to the field. I'm sure the next fight is underway," Valerie huffs as she gets back to her feet. They all nod and head out. Valerie's eyes lock in on the shadows as she catches the figure of someone who looks familiar. Were they being spied on? How much has this spy overheard? She is just about to release some of her power when she feels a tug on her hand.

Valerie looks over to Danny, who is shaking his head no. "Not on them; we don't want to cause more trouble than we can handle right now," Danny states. Valerie glares but nods. She looks back into the shadows, but Mystogan is gone. When they get back to the arena, the whole group freezes. "W-what is happening here?" Danny asks as his face turns pink. Almost all of the guild girls are on the field in bathing suits a thigh-high socks.

"I have no clue, but we are not joining them," Sam declares in monotone. Jazz nods, and Valerie just shrugs. Danny is backing away while Tucker starts to drool. "Boys," Sam sighs in annoyance.

Danny adjusted his hood as he strolled down the street. The dark sky brought some comfort to the nerves he felt. Mystogan had been following him for a while now. Danny wasn't sure exactly what the mage wanted, but it bothered him that the Fairy Tail mage started following them after the incident with GIW. Danny let out a huff of air and continued on his way to a dark alley. A cloaked figure waited for him, tapping his foot in impatience.

Danny squared up and strolled up to his companion. "You have a follower," the man states. Danny nods, biting his lip. He really hoped his colleague wouldn't hold it against him. The figure sighed, pushing a strand of white hair back into the confines of his hood. "Very well. The group will likely be striking more often, usually after a battle. You should make sure to prepare your group. The palace, on the other hand, is still fidgety. They are after something, but I can't tell you more at the moment," the man informs Danny.

Danny nods. He wasn't sure if it was because of his follower or a lack of evidence, but he wasn't going to push éminence grise. "Should we meet at the hideout tomorrow?" Danny asked. The figure nodded before stepping into the shadows. "Don't follow him; you'll put him in danger," Danny called out as he turned to face the general direction of his tail. Mystogan hesitated for a second before stepping out.

"The magic you used earlier today was similar to Zeref's," Mystogan claims as he gets into a fighting position. Danny flinched. Zeref's power, as in dark magic. He hated that aspect of his powers. Danny rubbed the back of his neck, knocking his hood off.

"Yeah, could you please not compare us. Just because my magic is of a darker brand than yours doesn't mean you can condemn us to the same fate as that wizard. After all, you're pretty tainted yourself. Unlike most of your guild, you're not actually light," Danny states. Mystogan's eyes widen slightly. Danny looks at the swirling aura before him. Pieces were chipped off, and some parts of his aura were trying to reform. The man before him was a mess. Danny wondered for a second what had happened to Mystogan in the past before letting the thought go. He should get back to Midnight Calamity. "follow me as much as you like, but I do need to get ready for tomorrow's game," Danny mentions as he turns back to his hotel.
