Syd sent the papers flying as she bolted from the room.

Cruger pick up! Cruger pick up! Syd begged as she tried Cruger's com set. Syd burst into the Command Center, scaring Kat.

"Syd, what's wrong?"

"Operation….Dragon…..Sting…. Danger…." Syd huffed out. "When they…blew up Sky…. They took the Operation Dragon Sting file…you have to call the operatives off…"

When Kat didn't respond immediately, Syd gripped her by the shoulders.

"Now! Kat!"

Kat nodded slowly and called up to the operation's handlers.

"What? How? When? Yes, call back all undercover operatives. I don't care, call them back now."

Kat hung up the phone and turned to Syd.

"Operation Dragon Sting was just ambushed. The attackers were sloppy, though. Everyone escaped. They're rendezvousing here."

Syd nodded and slumped against the wall.

"How does this keep happening? If whoever-they-are got this information from Bridge, they would have targeted these operations before now."

Kat nodded.

"I've been wondering the same thing."

A dark thought crossed Syd's mind, but she dismissed it. She had other things she needed to focus on, like helping Boom get Bridge's new room ready.

"Keep me updated?" Syd directed the half-question-half-statement at Kat, who waved her hand in acknowledgement.

When Syd arrived, construction was well underway. In fact, it was much further along than Syd anticipated.

They'd decided to repurpose an interrogation room since they already had the infrastructure they would need. However, instead of keeping powerful criminals contained, they'd have to keep a powerful ability contained, which was significantly harder to achieve. Syd found Jack among the mess, but he spoke before she could tell him about Operation Dragon Sting.

"Change of plans. We're moving Bridge tonight."

"Tonight?!" The shock in Syd's voice was evident. Jack pulled Syd off to the side.

"Officially, Cruger moved the transfer because Bridge's ability is becoming too powerful and unpredictable." Jack looked uneasy.

"And unofficially?"

Jack looked around for prying eyes and ears and lowered his voice.

"I think Cruger's on edge because of the attacks. He wants Bridge safely in HQ as soon as possible."

Syd nodded.

"In that case, now's the perfect time to tell you that they got to Operation Dragon Sting."

Jack groaned in frustration, and Syd continued on.

"Everyone's alive and accounted for, for once. They're meeting back here, and I think they're abandoning the other ops."

The two went quiet as someone passed.

"We need to figure out what's going on, but first, we have to finish the containment chamber. The doctor told Cruger the more Bridge heals, the stronger his ability becomes. He can now sense the emotions of people passing in the hallway." Jack whispered.

Syd nodded.

"I won't be much use in here, but I can prep for Bridge's transfer. The sooner he's here, the better. For everyone."

Syd and Jack broke apart in agreement. Syd needed to go and try to keep Bridge calm during the transfer. Sky was originally supposed to initiate the transfer, so Bridge would probably ask about him. Syd had to divert his attention until they could get him into the containment room. To add to that, they were skipping having Bridge stay in the infirmary. Bridge would most likely have some questions. None of this was ideal, but it needed to be done.

With the security risks, the detail escorting Syd had increased from three to seven. There would be a car in front and behind, and Syd would drive a closed car in the middle. She preferred the buggie, but they worried the open sides would cause Bridge's ability to go crazy.

Three hours until transfer. They still had a lot to do.

Jack "oversaw" the construction of the chamber, but in actuality, Boom did most of the work. Jack supervised the handling of materials while Boom handled the organizing of the materials and physical construction. Cruger authorized a small army for the containment chamber, and it was a madhouse.

They'd managed to rig together a rough containment mechanism. The one downside being that in order to counter Bridge's frequency, they needed him to take off his gloves so they could detect his frequency. It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was all they had.

In the back of Jack's mind, he knew there was a chance this wouldn't work. He continuously pushed the thought away. It had to work. There was no Plan B.

Z was still with Sky, waiting for him to wake up or any more news from Dr. Felix. While there was a good chance he'd be alright, Sky's condition put them more on edge than ever.

As the hours passed, the mass of people in and around the containment chamber slowly dwindled. The finishing touches included the furnishings of a typical dormitory. Jack personally brought a few of Bridge's affects and set them about the room.

When it was only Boom and Jack left, he had a moment to think, and oh did his mind wander. Just now, one of his team members was struggling with amnesia and an out-of-control ability caused by an unknown abductor. Syd was filling in for Sky in picking up Bridge because Sky was unconscious by an unknown attacker. Z kept an eye on him because they had a bad track record of rangers going to the infirmary. Meanwhile, Jack was helping Boom on a containment chamber for Bridge's abilities before they became too strong.

Everything was wrong. Nothing was right. Now that no one but Boom was around, Jack allowed himself to feel some of the hopelessness. In front of everyone else, he felt the need to show a strong front. He was the red ranger, he wasn't allowed to lose control. However, the past few months showed him that he was dangerously not in control. He took a breath. Syd would be on her way with Bridge soon. Jack just had to keep it together for a little while longer.

Syd had to be strong, for Bridge. She'd heard no news about Sky and only minimal news from Jack. Right now, Bridge needed her. She'd focus on getting him safely back to HQ.

Syd slammed the door shut behind her and waited for the lead car to pull out.

Adrenaline rushed through Syd. Her eyes saw a hidden enemy in every alleyway and every passing car. Her hands repeatedly cycled between turning into the rubber of the steering wheel and reverting to normal. An eternity later, and they were finally at the hospital.

A single guard accompanied Syd up to Bridge's room.

"Hey," Syd stood near the door. Bridge was dressed and sitting in a wheelchair. "I see they told you about the change of plans."

Bridge nodded.

"They didn't tell me why, but judging from the anxiety rolling off of you, it seems like I shouldn't ask." Bridge held Syd's gaze.

Syd's eyes flicked down to Bridge's hands. They were gloved. Cruger was right, his powers were far stronger than before.

"We'll tell you everything once we get to HQ." Syd took hold of Bridge's wheelchair and rolled him to the elevators and out the door.

The guard on Syd helped her lift Bridge into the car, and they were off once again.

Syd didn't talk the entire drive. Bridge could already tell what she was feeling. There was nothing she could say that could help the situation. She kept her eyes on the road, her heart calm, and her mind sharp.

In her rearview mirror, Syd spotted a car two behind them. She thought she'd spotted the same vehicle at the hospital. She fought with her adrenaline to remain even-keeled. Another block, and the car turned away from the convoy. Syd breathed a small sigh of relief. She was just being paranoid.

Part Two of their plan came into play once they parked in the garage. From there all the way to the chamber, Cruger cleared the halls of people. Syd rolled Bridge down an eerily still hallway.

"They're nervous about overloading me." Bridge said it more as a statement than a question. "Syd, what's the plan when we get to the chamber."

Syd swallowed. It wasn't her job to tell Bridge the process, but she had to say something.

"We'll turn on the chamber, and counteract your abilities."

Jack was waiting for them.

Together, they pushed Bridge into his new room, and closed the door. On the other side of the glass wall, they turned on the intercom. Boom stood at the controls, ready to begin.

"Bridge, I'm gonna explain what's about to happen," Jack started. "This room will find your specific frequency and counter it, neutralizing your ability within these walls. It'll hopefully prevent you from hearing too many emotions until we can come up with a better solution."

Bridge nodded.

"The only thing is that we need you to take off your gloves so we can calibrate the system. Do you think you can handle that?"

Bridge sat up straight and set his jaw.

"Let's do it."

Jack counted down.

"3…2..1…"

Bridge's gloves dropped to the floor.
