Chapter 4: Pet
Naruto was doing his paperwork in his office and he was bored out of his mind until the doors swing open, causing him to look up to see his daughters run toward him as Wednesday walk in with her black umbrella. "HEY, GIRLS!" Naruto push his chair back with a wide grin to let his daughters climb up on his laps and hug them together. "What bring you guys here?"
"We were dropping by since it's on way back from the playground." Wednesday spoke.
"Ah, I see." He smiled.
"Daddy, can we have a pet?" Sachiko asked.
"A pet?" Naruto looked down to her with a blink, "You want a pet?"
"Hai." The black-eyed girl nodded.
"A dog." Alma replied.
"Yes, a doggy!" Sachiko nodded again.
"Ooh, I don't know." He looked up to his wife with a hum, "It sound like a lot of responsibility for a pet dog. That mean you have to take care of the dog, take it out for a walk, feeding it, give it some water and many stuffs."
"We will take care of it." The golden eyed girl looked up to him.
"Yeah, we will do everything you say!" Her twin nodded rapidly.
"Well…" Naruto looked to his wife again before she give him a nod, "Sure!" The twin cheered with emotionless faces, "We can go to kennels on this Friday and pick whatever you two like out."
"Promise?" The twins asked.
"I promise." He grinned before he look up to Wednesday as he mouth to her, "Good thing it's not a cat."
"Thank Lucifer." Wednesday mouthed back with a very tiny smirk. The cats tend to disappear around her and Naruto don't mind it at all, no thank to this damn Tora cat.
"Okay, girls, go ahead and take a look around." Naruto smiled down to his daughters with Wednesday at his side as they enter a large kennel and the twin run off together to look at some dogs. "What do you think they'll pick?" He turned to his wife with a wide grin.
"Mm, I hope they chose a vicious one like Boxer or Pit Bull." Wednesday said, dreaming of a dog mauling some unlucky poor souls to death then bury the body. That would be perfect for her gardening.
With the twin, they examine some dogs in cage and walk up to a cage with giant dane that kept barking at them with frothing mouth. "Sis, do you want her?" Sachiko pointed to the snarling dane unfazed, her other hand holding her twin's hand.
"No." Alma shook her head, "She's bored-looking." They move to another cage with a pit bull, "Hmm, too cowardly." The pit bull was actually clawing the back of the cage as it look over the shoulders as if he's afraid of the twins.
"I agree." The black-eyed girl nodded before they wander over to the third large cage, "Oh, what about him?" A giant black dog with red eyes was gnashing the cage with frothing snarl and it look like he can easily crush their heads with one paw, "He look so pretty!"
"Exactly, he's too pretty." The golden-eyed girl scoffed, "Let's move on, sister." They walk away from the puzzled black dog to the back of the kennel and look at the cage at the very end of the hall. They see a mangly grey mutt puppy with underbite that have fangs sticking out and turf of black fur on some of its body, head and tail. It have right white eye and left yellow eye, black claws and its left ear appear to be chewed off. The puppy were currently snarling and barking at a giant dog in other cage, causing the giant dog to shiver in the corner before the puppy turn on the girls, staring for a moment before it bark loudly at the twin. "…" The twins stare at the puppy and the creature's barking wind down as it realize something, it was in a presence of powerful predator. The puppy start to wagging its tail with happy pant as the twin stares for a bit before Alma point to it. "I want this puppy."
"Same." Sachiko grip the cage's mesh to get a good look at the creature, "It's a boy. He's so cute." The twin exchange stares before they nod together then wave to their parents, "Daddy! Mommy! We want him!"
"Let me see." Naruto walk to his daughters then look inside the cage to see the puppy, "Oh! What a cute puppy!" He grinned widely as he wiggle his finger at the puppy, "No wonder why you two want him."
"Indeed." Wednesday agreed before she crouch down to her daughters, "Are you two sure you want to take him?" She asked for a confirmation because children tend to change their minds.
"Yes." Both twin nodded.
"Okay, let me go get the guy and we'll fill the form out." The chuckling shinobi stand up to go to talk to the kennel owner and the pale woman stay behind with her daughters to look at the mutt puppy.
"Can I hold the leash?" Alma held her hand up to her father as the family walk the puppy out of the kennel, the creature was hopping around and frightening some bystanders with barks and snarls. "I want to walk Grimmy."
"Me too, me too." Sachiko raise her hand up.
"Okay, but you have to hold it tighter and be firm so Grimmy can't run off." Naruto bend down to give the leash to the twins as he show them the proper way to hold it, the girls share the leash by holding it together at same time. He chuckle at the sight of his daughters walking the dog while yanking the leash back few times every time he act up and he turn to his wife, who was carrying a bag. "Want me to carry it, hon?"
"No thank you, my dear." Wednesday replied, the contents in bag were just some dog toys, bowls and treats. Naruto already have his clone bringing a big bag of dog food to their home early. The family enjoys their stroll until they run into someone.
"Yo, Naruto! Going out on a walk with your family?" Kiba greeted before he notice Grimmy, "What's up with creepy ugly mutt?" The puppy glare at him with growl before he suddenly lunge at Kiba's right leg and swarm around like a tornado. "HOLY SH…! GET THIS CRAZY DOG OFF ME! HELP!"
"He's our pet." Sachiko said unfazed with a creepy grin.
"And he's pretty, not ugly." Alma said with equally creepy grin and Grimmy jump off the screaming man, revealing that his pant leg has been shredded and a lot of cut and bloods on his leg.
"W-W-W-W-WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS THING AT?!" Kiba jabbed his finger at the growling puppy with winces and shivers.
"From kennel near here." Naruto chuckled as he walk past the panting shinobi with his family normally as if his puppy didn't maul this man's leg, "See you later, Kiba."
"…" The brunette shinobi stare at them for a while before he pass out from loss of blood, 'I am so staying hell far away from this crazy family now.' That was the last thing Kiba thought when he hit the ground.
"Naruto, can you accompany me today?" Wednesday asked him and the blonde turn to her with few blinks.
"Sure?" Naruto tilted his head slightly puzzlingly as the girl start to walk ahead before he follows her, "Where are we going?"
"To a ramen stand for our date." She replied flatly.
"Ramen? Sweet!" He grinned widely before he pause with rapid blinks, "…Wait…" His head whipped to her with a snap, "Date?" That bring some blush to his face, it's really strange how he like this girl in short time and he only know her for about three weeks now.
"Yes." Wednesday turn to him blankly, "Is there a problem?"
"No, no, just surprised." Naruto quickly shook his head, "You never said it was going to be date and…Well…" He scratched his head bashfully, "I have never been on one before."
"…Me neither." She turned her head away, "It's going to be my first one."
"Really?" He tilted his head, "Wow, I thought you might have gone on dates before because you're, like, very cute." The petite girl suddenly stop then turn to face him with a blank stare and it makes him wonder if he said something wrong, "Um…I…" Before he know it, Wednesday peck his cheek then pull away from the shinobi as his cheeks burn red.
"…Thank you…" Wednesday avert her face from him, dipping her head slightly to hide some light pink dusting that appear across her cheeks and in this moment, Naruto swear he become smitten more than before.
"You're welcome." Naruto took a bold move by slipping his hand into her hand, holding it gently. "Is that okay with you if I do that?"
"…Yes." Her cheek become bright pink, no one ever make her break like that until he come along. Look like she need to learn some techniques from her mother to keep her poker face after this date and she know her mother will tell her that she have skipped some steps but that'll be okay because she have Naruto's attention right now.

A pet have join the family and boooooy, is this dog evil and crazy, yet fitting for the family! Another flashback show us how Naruto have his first date with Wednesday!
