One-shot 5: Today is just another day

As Ichigo was getting ready for another day of school, he could feel the energy of his best friend and cousin fast approaching. He smiled as he quickly got dressed in his school uniform and looked for his bag. It was somewhere in his cluttered room, but for the life of him he just couldn't find it.

"Ya gotta be kidding me." He started as he began to toss things around frantically.

"Ichigo?" Yoruichi called out to him from the main living room.

"Yeah?" He answered her as he continued to toss things around in search of his bag.

"Uryu's here, so get your butt out here already and have some breakfast." She spoke in her 'motherly' tone to get her point across.

"Okay." Ichigo started as he continued to search for his bag for school. He went over to the door just as he gave up and grabbed his hair tie on his dresser.

Just as he left his room and made his way over to the main room, he was in the process of tying his hair up. In the main room, which was basically the living room at this point but smaller, Ichigo saw Grimmjow along with Ulquiorra, Stark and Kisuke playing cards at the table. Because Ulquiorra doesn't show so much emotions, he was making a killing right now. Uryu was talking to Neliel and Tia outside the door while Apache, Sun-Sun and Lilinette was helping Tessai with breakfast. Mila-Rose had already been out earlier to talk to Chad before school started, so she wasn't there for the time being.

"Hey, has anyone seen my-" Ichigo started before seeing his bag dangling in front of him from the ceiling. He looked up to see Yoruichi hanging there with a smirk on her face as she dropped down.

"Next time, try not to lose it." She started as she handed him his bag. "Especially on the roof of all places."

Ichigo took his bag while looking away in embarrassment, causing her to chuckle and ruffle up his hair a bit. "Yeah, sorry bout that." He said before Uryu waved to him.

"You ready to go Ichigo?" He asked with a smile on his face.

Ichigo looked to the clock and saw they didn't have much time left. With a nod, he hugged Yoruichi quickly, said that he'll be back to the others all the while getting different reactions from them, and ran down the street with Uryu following along.

When the two left that was when Kisuke shouted out. "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW!" Everyone looked over to him as he threw his cards on the table and sulked. "This is why I don't play against Ulquiorra. I wind up losing all my money."

"Guessn' that means ya fold too?" Grimmjow asked him as he folded.

"Every damn time." Stark said as he also folded.

Ulquiorra didn't say anything as he simply collected the cash that was now his from the others. Despite them ll living together, they all still liked to have their own money for things to buy. After that game from the guys, Lilinette poked her head through the door.

"Hey guys, breakfast is ready." She said with a smile then saw the defeated look on Stark's face and smirked. "Lost again Stark?"

Said man didn't say anything as he just huffed at her words.

Most days were like this for the large family. For the most part, days were just calm and peaceful. The shop ran for the day, Ichigo went to school with Uryu and their friends, some shenanigans would occur sometimes, but all in all, this was just another day. Then there was the hollow attack.

A few hours after Ichigo and Uryu left for school, a large garganta opened up in the park not far from the shop. There was around twenty or so of them as they poured out into Karakura Town to claim some souls. The group felt this and a few decided to take the initiative. Those few being Grimmjow, Apache, and surprisingly enough Stark. The three made their way towards the park and saw the hollows coming out. They were unfazed as the hollows rushed them all at once. Knowing that they could take them all one with ease, the three decided to make a game out of this situation. They wound up trying to out due the others when it came to stylish kills. Grimmjow was mainly using his bare hands to tear them apart, Apache used her zanpakuto and cero's and Stark just wound up using cero's as well. In the end, Grimmjow came out the victor with the best kills.

After that little scuffle, the three returned home and saw that Ichigo and Uryu were back along with Chad and Orihime. These two would come over frequently, especially after they unlocked their powers, to train with Ichigo and Uryu. A few hours later, they were finished training and the family prepared to have a big dinner. Though they did make sure not to get Orihime into the kitchen since her cooking is just weird. They all ate in the underground training area since it had the most room and conversed about their day and other pleasantries. They all stayed like this for a good while before Orihime realized how late it was. She left to get ready for school in the morning while Chad stayed for a little bit to be with Mila-Rose a little longer.

Around midnight was when things slowed down. Chad and Uryu had left for home, the guys had turned in for the night, the girls were getting ready to call it as well. For the most part, the only ones who were still up for a bit at this time was Ichigo, who was sitting on top of the shop looking at the beautiful full moon with his hair down, and Yoruichi.

"Can't sleep?" She asked him as she made her way towards him.

"No." Ichigo answered as he watched her sit down next to him. "Just love the sight of a clear sky with a full moon out."

Yoruichi smiled to him and they both looked up. The sky really was beautiful when cit was clear. The stars were shining brightly and all of them circling the moon. Both Ichigo and Yoruichi just sat there in silence looking up towards it, and in that moment, Yoruichi really felt like a good mother to him.

A good mother indeed.
