before I start the story know that this is an AU to my other stories currently in progress and instead of the 90's as a starting point it'll be starting in the year 2013 so the class year that starts the HP story knows who Sage is. if anyone thinks they do better on either of them I openly triple dog dare them to try.
The AI who lived prologue chapter
It's the year 2013 and Voldemort has attack the Potters because their secret keeper Peter Petigrew also known as Wormtail has exposed the secret of where they are to him.
as he's approaching Godric's Hollow James yells "Lily take Harry and run it's him I'll hold him off now go." while Lily takes Harry up the stairs to Harry's nursery Voldemort and James have a short duel where Voldemort wins in the end with a killing curse which has the incantation of "Avada Kedavra" and James Potter drops dead so Voldemort proceeds to the Nursery not knowing that a trap has been laid for him.
Lily Potter wasn't just waiting to see who came out on top as she was preparing for the worst by setting up a protection ritual to keep Harry safe from the killing curse and so when Voldemort entered the room it was ready and waiting for the right moment to activate. Voldemort said "Step aside so I can kill the child and I'll let you live." Lily responds with "I'll never let you kill my son kill me instead." Voldemort responds with "Very well since you're so eager to die I'll oblige you." not knowing that he just entered a magical contract that states that should he try to kill Harry his magic would kill him and he kills her with a killing curse.
and with that he stands over Harry's crib and says "I can feel your power and I would have taught you everything I know to see you reach your full potential but I must kill you even though my magic is warning me not to so farewell Harry Potter." and he performs the killing curse on Harry but there's unexpected results of a life taking curse interacting with a live preserving ritual.
first off Harry is turned into a baby version of Sage, secondly the killing curse is reflected back to Voldemort who is killed but the horcruxes he made over the years keep him alive as a wraith thirdly the explosion of the house does more damage to Harry than canon and lastly Harry is teleported to the base of Dr. Eggman which is in the Bermuda Triangle along with the rest of the world of Mobius
and in the aftermath two men appear one is Rubeus Hagrid who is a gentle half-Giant who works for Albus Dumbledore and the other is Harry's Godfather Sirius Black they notice Harry isn't anywhere in sight so they assume he's alive and go their separate ways with Hagrid going to tell Dumbledore the news while Sirius has a rat to catch.
and when Sirius does corner Wormtail the traitor performs the bombardment spell on a gas tank while saying "Sirius how could you kill Lily and James." "Bombarda" and rather than be shocked at the action Sirius stuns Wormtail with a stunner spell by saying "Petrificus Totalis" and afterwards Barty Crouch Sr and a group of Aurors who watched the whole thing came out of hiding and Barty says "good job capturing him but we need to use Veritaserum on you to prove your innocence."
They take Wormtail and Sirius to Courtroom 10 which holds the Wizengamot sessions and Sirius is given Veritaserum a powerful truth potion that disables the ability to lie until the antidote is given and he reveals that there's no way in hell he could have betayed the Potters because he took the Godfather ritual which means his magic would have killed him if he did. he's given the antidote and Wormtail is next to be questioned and he reveals that he did in fact betray the Potters and there was no way to be mind controlled to join the dark lord's inner circle you had to want it yourself and so Wormtail and all of Voldemort's inner circle are put in the same prison as Gellert Grindlewald but more high security like wards that prevent magic use and a real set of guards to prevent escape the wizarding world hailed Harry as the boy who lived not knowing that would be changed years later.
meanwhile
Harry has appeared before Dr. Ivo Robotnik also known as Dr. Eggman and the ego maniac of a doctor asks "what the hell who are you?" Harry responds although very carefully "my name is Harry Potter but it appears I'm now a girl and dying from my wounds so I'll need a new name and a way to survive." Dr. Eggman says "I have a name in mind how about Sage? but I can't save your body" Harry's magic accepts the new name and she responds "how will I live if I can't use my body?"
Dr. Eggman responds "I'll upload your mind to my EggNet although it'll take years to create a new body for you" Sage says "Do it if it'll help me survive then I accept."
and so Dr. Eggman transfers Sage's mind to his EggNet where she stays until 9 years later when he creates the device seen in the opening cutscene of Sonic Frontiers where Sage is given a body by the Ancient's technology and Cyberspace and between the EggNet and Cyberspace she's given information on Sonic's history along with his friends Knuckles, Amy Rose and Miles "Tails" Prower. when she senses that Dr. Eggman is in Danger she pulls him into Cyberspace and the events of Sonic Frontiers begins.
AN: here it is a new Idea I came up with from playing Sonic Frontiers although I dare anyone who thinks they could do better than me in handling this scenario
next time: Sonic, Tails and Amy are approaching the Starfall Islands and are transported to Cyberspace where Sonic escapes to Kronos Island the starting point of Sonic Frontiers.
