beginning AN: here it is the first flying lesson chapter but I'm going to go off script a bit and have Sage pull out her Extreme Gear Racing set when she sees Neville lose control of his Broom. as to how she could have it on hand let's just say that like Sonic and friends she has a stuff space pocket dimension that can hold a lot of things at once. I mean how else can Sonic in the games like Sonic Unleashed be in one scene where he's holding nothing at all then in another he's holding the Chaos Emeralds all the while only wearing his signature gloves and sneakers I say he and his friends have a stuff space that they store things in. now on with the story.
The AI Who Lived Chapter 10: The first Flying Lesson and Hogwarts gets a first hand look at what Extreme Gear is
It's the morning after the first day of classes and both Sage and Hermione wake up, take a shower and get dressed and go get some breakfast.
and go to their first lesson of the day which is Potions with the Hufflepuffs and when the lesson begins Professor Snape instructs them on a new potion and teaches them how to safely make a potion without incident not wanting a repeat of yesterday and after the lesson is over.
and both Sage and Hermione go to History of Magic with the Slytherins the lesson begins and Dr. Eggman tells the history of The Echidnas up until the disaster where one tribe's greed doomed the entire race and the creation of a floating Island called Angel Island.
but the guardian of the emeralds and the Master Emerald stopped the destruction of the world.
a Ravenclaw asks "how did that happen?" Dr. Eggman says "The Guardian at the time called Tikal the Echidna prayed to the Master Emerald to stop the Destruction of the world." a cocky Slytherin asks "what good does praying do?"
Dr. Eggman says "the one I'm about to mention has the one that has the power to control the Chaos Emeralds but I'll make it a question." he then asks Sage "What is the prayer I'm referring to Sage?" Sage says "it goes like this. The Servers are the seven chaos, chaos is power, power enriched by the heart, the controller is the one that unifies the chaos." Dr. Eggman says "well done Sage that's correct 30 points to Ravenclaw."
and he continues with "but the prayer alone isn't enough you need to say it in front of the Master Emerald and state your request like 'Please stop the Chaos Emeralds.' and the Master Emerald does just that." the lesson ends and both Sage and Hermione go to lunch.
and as soon as they're done their next lesson is the first flying lesson of the year with the Gryfindors the lesson goes like it does in canon until Neville loses control of his broom when Sage sees this she pulls her Extreme Gear equipment out and puts on the goggles and gets on her Extreme Gear and uses it to catch Neville before he can injure himself.
Madam Hooch sees this and asks " first off good job saving a classmate and secondly what is this you're using Ms. Robotnik-Potter?" Sage answers "it's a hoverboard called an Extreme Gear and it's normally using in a sport called Extreme Gear Racing." Madam Hooch asks "is there more than just this one and if so is there a teacher you have in mind to teach your classmates in using it?"
Sage responds with "yes there's more than just this one and I can think of three canidates for the positions." Madam Hooch then says "well I'm off to tell what happened here to the headmaster and the lesson is over for today." and the lesson ends
Sage and Hermione then go to Transfiguration with the Hufflepuffs and learn another spell for the course and again are among the first to get it done the lesson soon ends and they go to Astronomy and they learn more about the stars with one part of the lesson being about Canis Major.
the lesson ends and they go to dinner and as soone as they're done Dr. Eggman and Professor Dumbledore escort them to Ravenclaw's dorms with Albus wanting to talk a bit he begins with "I heard about what happened at the first flying lesson of the year." he continues with "who do you have in mind to teach how to use an Extreme Gear next year onwards?"
Sage says "you may classify them as creatures but I recommend a group of experienced riders called the Babylon Rogues they are named Jet The Hawk, Wave The Swallow and Storm the Albatross. and yes the names are literal."
Dr. Eggman says "those are good picks Sage." he tells Albus "I recommend them and have a way to contact them." Albus then says "If they do well teaching next year then maybe I'll announce that Extreme Gear Racing will be a tournament with its own house trophy from what will be Sage's third year onwards." Sage then says "you could design the trophy to have an Extreme Gear as the shape of the statue part of it."
and Albus asks "what does an Extreme Gear look like?" Hermione asks "do you remember hearing about a movie trilogy called Back to The Future?"
Albus responds "yes I have but what relevance does have here?"
Hermione says "in the second movie the idea of hoverboards was introduced."
Albus says "Yes I recall hearing about that."
Sage pulls out her Extreme Gear and says "and this is what an Extreme Gear looks like and most likely the closest thing you'll ever see to a real life hoverboard."
Albus says "fasinating for some reason it's not touching the ground."
Dr. Eggman says "The Babylon Rogues are the experts on this so ask them when you see them." he then says "I'll be heading off to my office so I can contact them." and he leaves Albus escorted Sage and Hermione the rest of the way to the Ravenclaw Dorms says the answer to the riddle and bids them a good night.
Athena greets them with Sage giving another apple which is eaten with gutso they go take a shower, dress up in their sleepwear and go to bed
meanwhile
Dr. Eggman has returned to his office and is currently talking to the Babylon Rogues and he asks them "do you accept the offer?"
Jet says "we'll accept the offer it'll be great to spread the greatness that is Extreme Gear Racing even if we have to teach a lot of kids how it's done." and his teammates agree with him.
ending AN: well there you have it the first flying lesson has occurred and Sage has introduced the Wizarding World to Extreme Gear and the Babylon Rogues have been drafted as teachers for the sport they love.
Next time: we time skip to Halloween where Voldemort's henchman Quirrel sneaks a troll into the castle but faints when he accidentally walks in uninvited to the Great Hall Sage and Hermione notice Lavender Brown isn't anywhere in sight and go to save her which they do and before anyone asks why Lavender is the one caught in the crossfire and not Hermione well I choose to change the scenario due to how much time Sage and Hermione have spent with each other so Ron is forced to talk badly to somebody else.
