beginning AN: and now we reach Halloween of Year 1. to add content to the chapter Sirius and Profressor Flitwick will have some screen time since in canon it was the latter's class that had Ron badmouth Hermione but I'll go off script and have him insult Lavender's obsession with her appearance as what sets her off to be caught in the crossfire with the troll. now on with the story
The AI Who Lived Chapter 11: Year 1 Halloween
It's now the morning of Halloween and both Sage and Hermione have become best friends over the months they've spent going to class with each other.
they do their usual routine of waking up, taking a morning shower, getting dressed and going to breakfast and once done go to their first class of the day which is Defense Against The Dark Arts with the Hufflepuffs and they arrive on time.
and the lesson begins with Sirius saying "welcome everyone for today's lesson I'm going to be teaching you the Bombardment spell."
and he continues with "and it can be used to blow a hole in the wall when you're cornered and need a quick escape and it can be used offensively to disable your opponent quite literally."
he continues with "but I don't recommend you go the route of option 2 as it has the potential to kill your enemy so only use it in that manner as self defense the incantation is Bombarda now begin." although before he does begin the practicals he takes them outside and has them practice the required wrist movements and as always Sage and Hermione are among the first to master it with the target for the practicals being boulders that Sirius put into place with a little on the spot transfiguration. the lesson ends and they go back inside and Sage and Hermione go to their second lesson History of Magic with the Slytherins and they arrive on time.
and the lesson begins with Dr. Eggman saying "today's lesson is about an energy called Chaos Energy and how it's used differs from one user to the next." while he's setting up his equipment to show footage of Chaos Energy in action a cocky Slytherin says "what could an energy source with a name like that do?"
Sage says "many things from granting the user the ability to run faster than Mach 1, the ability to teleport, the ability to lift things with your mind alone, super strength, the ability to have full control over fire and even the ability to slow down time itself."
Dr. Eggman having finished setting up his equipment with it ready to show proof says "that's correct Sage 30 points to Ravenclaw." he then says "now watch this footage it's of a group of adversaries that i have that have those abilities." and he presses play.
the first one to be seen is Sonic and everyone but Dr. Eggman, Sage and Hermione are surprised a hedgehog can move that fast Dr. Eggman pauses the footage and says "the Hedgehog you see isn't any ordinary hedgehog and he his name matches his Chaos energy ability and his name is Sonic the hedgehog."
he then continues the footage and it goes to footage of Shadow and Dr. Eggman pauses it and says "He may look like Sonic but he isn't and he's the one who can teleport and slow down time his name is Shadow The Hedgehog and both abilities already mentioned are his and he uses the same words for each one and they are Chaos Control."
he finishes this part of the lesson with "he's normally using a Chaos Emerald as a focus for his abilities even though he can use them without one which is like your wands with them you regulate your magic but the spells you do cost more energy without them."
he starts the footage and it settles on Amy and Knuckles while alternating between them and it's first paused on Amy and Dr. Eggman says " if you think this hedgehog girl can't possibly have super strength then watch this." he has the footage show Amy using her Piko Piko Hammer and everyone but Dr. Eggman, Sage and Hermione are shocked that a slip of a girl can swing a mallet shaped hammer that's bigger than she is.
and Dr. Eggman says "her name is Amy Rose and this is why you wouldn't want to get on her bad side."
he then focuses the footage on Knuckles and the classmates of Sage and Hermione are surprised an Echidna has such strength and Dr. Eggman says "his name is Knuckles the Echidna and he's the current guardian of the Master Emerald and sadly he's the last of his kind." he then finishes this part of the lesson with "I know I said in an earlier lesson that his race was wiped out but it's possible a few survived to breed until Knuckles came to be." he then starts the footage again and it shows Silver.
Dr. Eggman pauses the footage and says "this young hedgehog is called Silver The Hedgehog and what you're seeing use is his chaos ability it's called Psychokinesis which can also be called levitation and is the ability to move things with your mind."
he continues with "and here's the kicker Silver isn't limited to just moving objects with his ability he can use his ability to fly under his own power." he finishes his lesson on Silver with "but I can imagine that Silver can't do so forever since it takes a lot of focus to stay in the sky under his own power."
and the final part of his lesson has the footage focus on Blaze and he says "this catgirl is named Blaze The Cat."
he continues with "and her Chaos ability is called Pyrokinesis which is what it sounds like the ability to control fire and here's what she can do with it." he lets the footage play and the class aside from Sage and Hermione is amazed that a cat is so creative in how to control fire." he finishes the lesson with "Blaze is also a guradian but her object to safeguard is called the Sol Emeralds but that's a lesson for another time."
and the lesson ends and both Sage and Hermione go to lunch and once done go to the third lesson of the day Charms with the Gryffindors they arrive on time and the lesson begins Professor Flitwck says "today I'll be teaching you the levitation charm the incantation is Wingardium Leviosa." he also teaches them the wrist movements required and has them practice it and as usual Sage and Hermione are among the first to master it while Ron Weasley is having trouble with it a classmate called Lavender Brown says "stop you're doing it wrong it's Levi osa not levi osar." Ron says "you do it then." she then says "Wingardium Leviosa." and her feather starts levitating and Professor Flitwick is pleased by the development and she tells Ron "you have to make the 'Gar' nice and long." and soon the lesson ends and while going to the next class Ron is complaining to his friends Dean and Seamus and says" it's Levi Osa not Levi Osar, i wasn't asking for help and what's her deal with wanting to be pretty it's not like anyone will ever love her."
loud enough for Lavender to hear and she runs off crying and isn't seen for the rest of the afternoon the final lesson of the day is Transfiguration with the Hufflepuffs and it goes smoothly and Sage and Hermione go to dinner where there's a halloween feast going on.

Quinirus Quirrel a henchman of Voldemort who's currently possessed by his wraith decides to sneak a troll in the castle in an attempt to get the Philosopher's stone to revive his master but on the way to the stone he accidentally walks into the great hall and faints but not before saying "Troll in the Dungeon, i thought you ought to know."
the Great hall is disturbed by this and both Sage and Hermione notice Lavender isn't here so they go looking and find her crying to herself not knowing she's now in danger as the Troll has arrived but Sage isn't bothered and says "you think that club makes you big and bad well try this on for size." and she pulls out her Piko Piko Hammer and starts attacking the troll and while Sage is wearing it down it isn't enough so she pulls her inhibitor rings off and unleashes more powerful blows with her Piko Piko Hammer and the troll gets knocked out.
and Albus and his staff show up while Sage is putting her inhibitor rings back on Albus asks "What happened?" and Sage and Hermione tell them everything and how it was due to Lavender being in here due to Ronald Weasley badmouthing her and he says "this calls for 100 points to Ravenclaw for saving a classmate." and both Sage and Hermione go back to Ravenclaw's dormitory and take a shower, get dressed in their nightwear, give Athena an apple and go to bed.
ending AN: there you have it the year 1 Halloween chapter and everything is coming to a head soon enough if i skip important events it's because i'll say they happened as they did in canon
Next Time: a time skip to the end of Year 1 where Sage and Hermione end up fighting Quirrelmort in the room where the Mirror of Erised is holding the philosopher's stone and the first year ends.
