beginning AN: thanks for your patience in waiting for a new chapter to be made so here it is the end of the Harry Potter Year 1 Arc I'll be focusing on the confrontation with Quirrelmort instead of making it a long and drawn out affair and with that said let's get on the story

The AI Who Lived Chapter 12 : Year 1 Finale

The rest of the year went by fast, with Sage receiving an invisibility cloak that Eggman was interested in and Sage and Hermione getting detention in the Forbidden Forest at night to find what was killing Unicorns when they helped Hagrid send a baby dragon to a dragon reserve.
In the end they had to get past a series of traps a Cerberus a Devil Snare a set of enchanted keys an Enchanted chess set(with her high intelligence Sage easily got them safely though) an already knocked out troll and had just finished solving a logic puzzle.

"So that is the potion that will allow us to go forward." Sage said holding it, while looking between it and the fire.
"There is only enough for one but Voldemort's minion already passed through otherwise the troll would have been awake not knocked out. So how did they get through without the potion?"

"It must refill itself!" Hermione figured out after thinking, which allowed Sage to drink then waited for it to refill and Hermione crank and headed through the flames to face Voldemort's minion as well as discover who said minion is.

"So it was you." Sage noted, recognizing Quirrel as the muggle studies teacher that warned about the troll on Halloween.

"Me." He said calmly. "I wondered whether I'd be seeing you here. And you even brought your friend. How amusing."

He then snapped his fingers and caused ropes to appear out of thin air, and tie Sage and Hermione together.
"Now wait quietly. I need to examine this interesting mirror. And don't bother using your strength to break free. The way the ropes are tied up means you can't do so without breaking your friend as well."

"Now what." Sage muttered to Hermione as Quirrel looked at the mirror behind him.

"Don't worry." Hermione muttered concentrating. "I was bullied in school before Hogwarts, and one of the accidental magic I got good at from practice, especially after that bully Dudley Dursley moved to my school and needed a way to stop me from escaping his fat arse is getting out of ropes."

"Language." Sage muttered.

"You wouldn't say that if you met him." Hermione countered. "Nasty piece of work."

With that she finally succeeded in making a small slice with her magic that cut the ropes, and freed them.

"Watch out..." a voice warned letting Quirrel dodge Sage's Piko Piko hammer without inhibitor rings. Though it did knock off his Turban causing them to blanch at seeing Voldemort sticking out the back of his head.

Recognizing him, Sage didn't even bother waiting, and used her laser attack, as Quirrel kept dodging and sending back killing curses that Hermione floated rubble from the attacks in front of to block with Quirrel unable to target her without taking a laser, which was so powerful that one of them vaporized the Mirror of Erised, while the others caused parts of the wall to collapse.

Eventually Hermione got an idea, based on some of the things Dudley did to her, and smirked Then after moving some rubble to block another killing curse, she levitated Quirrel's underwear giving him a wedgie and holding him still long enough for Sage's laser to destroy him.
Leaving only Voldemort's wraith who escaped by going through both of them and draining some of their energy Sage because she destroyed him and Hermione for the humiliation of the wedgie. This knocked both of them unconscious.

When they woke up they had a confusing conversation with Professor Dumbledore where he didn't reveal anything while Dr. Eggman, hugged Sage, glad she was still alive, and was thankful to Hermione for helping her.
Eventually they ended up at the leaving feast where Professor Dumbledore gave them both just enough points for Ravenclaw to win the House Cup.
They then packed their things and left for the summer.

"Excuse me." Dr. Eggman said when Hermione's parents picked her up at the station.

"Yes?" They asked as Hermione hugged Sage being surprised to see her so soon.

"Your daughter is my daughter's friend, but since we live in the Bermuda Triangle I was wondering if you wanted to spend the summer with us so they can spend time together without needing to ask Shadow to teleport them."

"We were planning on taking her on vacation." Hermione's mom, Emma Granger said.

"And we haven't decided where to go yet." Her dad, Dan Granger agreed. "Sure."

"Great." Dr. Eggman said, as Sage and Hermione cheered. "Shadow if you would."

"Chaos Control!" Shadow said from nearby, as he teleported them first to Hermione's home to pack their bags, then to Dr. Eggman's base, before leaving.

"What is that?" Hermione asked seeing a paused video with Sage on it.

"Oops." Dr. Eggman said. "I forgot to store away that video after showing it to Sage's teachers. It is a video showing her past."

"Can we watch it?" Hermione asked Sage and Dr. Eggman.

"It's not very pleasant." Sage warned.

"And might make you puke." Dr. Eggman warned.

"I know, but I want to know more about you." Hermione told Sage, causing them to agree, as they showed Hermione and her parents the video, this caused Hermione to hold Sage close.

"I will always be there for you." Hermione promised, vowing to be the best friend she ever had.

Dan Granger balled up his fist at Voldemort's actions.

"Thank you for saving Hermione's first real friend in some way." He told Dr. Eggman with feeling.

Emma Granger was openly crying while hugging them both to her.

"I can't believe Hermione's first real friend almost died so young. Thank you for reviving her after she sacrificed herself." She told Dr. Eggman.

"She is my daughter. Of course I would revive her." Dr. Eggman said. "Now after seeing that, I think we need to get some rest."

With that they were shown their guest rooms, though when Dan, Emma, and Dr. Eggman woke up, they found Sage and Hermione sharing a bed, while wearing identical pajamas. Mostly because Sage had let Hermione borrow them.

ending AN: there you have it the Harry Potter Year 1 Arc is done and the Summer after Year 1 is about to take place

Next time: it's now the Summer before Harry Potter Year 2 and Hermione and her parents are introduced to Blaze The Cat and they hear about her backstory and it'll end with Sage and Hermione boarding the Hogwarts Express.
