Not actually Criminal Minds. This is a Paget (Emily Prentiss)/Steve (Paget's fiance) fic.

The team have another case on their hands but someone is determined to lead them astray from the real killer. And if he doesn't fit the victim profile, why is Spencer Reid being targeted? I can't promise amazing story-telling but take a look and review, anyway... Controversial/Mature themes to come, rating may change. No, I don't mean lemon. It's going to be relatively short.

I originally wrote this story for The X Files, I have just changed the names and tweaked it some for Criminal Minds. Title explains it all

Ever since it happened, Spencer Reid found it hard to breathe. He found it hard to see straight, to eat, or read. He couldn't enjoy anything ever again. Not even his team's words could make up for her death.

The BAU goes undercover to Montana after another agent winds up dead and there is concern about a terrorist group. Now they're back and trying to sort things out as they figure out how to move forward back in their world. Hotch/JJ centric but the other team members are involved also. Finally complete.

After some careful thought he realizes the one person that is always there, even after everything that happened with Maeve. After a night of romance, Garcia winds up missing. The BAU team has to race against time to track down and find Garcia's kidnapper before it's too late.

You realize that it's twisted—masochistic, even. All the same, you can't help it: you can't help but retrace every bit of evidence for things you could've picked up on, analyzing things that you should've have noted the first time around—things that would've kept her safe. (Warning: implied character death)

Garcia deals with yet helping another troubled person. Death but not of a main character. Do not hate me, this is only my first story about Criminal Minds.

Just a little something that popped up in my head: While Reid and Morgan look for clues in a victim's bedroom, the victim's sister catches them joking around. But she doesn't quite react as expected and leaves Reid astounded at this young woman...
