And here's chapter 5. I will admit this is a unique episode, not one of my favorites but I do like the human forms of Kazari, Mezool, and Gamel. And well, I do like the Candroids, my personal favorite is the Taka Candroid. Also, I realized I had forgotten the Journal Entry for the last chapter so I remembered to put it in this time.

Chapter 5 – A Game of Tag, a Nest, and a Rich Girl

Journal Entry

(Medal Count: 2 Head, 1 Torso, and 4 Leg)

After meeting a former ally of Ankh, a feline themed Greeed with the power of wind, we were faced with quite the dilemma. His former ally, Kazari, offered that he and Ankh work together and gather Medals by exploiting people's greed and desires. It was bad that we had someone who loved to eat as a host to a parasite that created a Yummy that had a hard skin.

But somehow, Ankh knew that Kazari was bad news and chose to stay with us. While it is impressive, I wonder if Ankh, Eiji, and I can really work together. I suppose I'll just have to see this through to see if I can really trust him and not give in to my own desire.

Also Hina now knows about her brother and he is being able controlled by Ankh. While I can understand that she can't fully trusts us, there is not much else we can do til we know we can help her brother.

Harry wasn't sure what to think of the scene before, there was a woman who was wearing a white and black suit with a skirt, long straight dark brown hair as opposed to Hina's curly black hair, her face was stoic with no hint of emotion, pointed red painted nails and holding a tablet that had a older man in a suit wearing a apron and baking something.

"Yo, Eiji Hino. Harry Potter. And the Greeed, Ankh, right?" He said, confusing the three boys. "The meeting of people is a portent to an upcoming birth. But just what will that be? And just how will the cake I'm making turn out? Isn't your chest bursting with expectations?"

'Is this man okay?' Harry thought as the woman spoke.

"Back to introductions, this is the president of the Kougami Foundation, Kousei Kougami." She said, speaking with a calm tone. "And…."

She turned, putting the tablet in the car and brought out a black box with a silver ribbon, saying, "This isn't much, but as a token of our meeting….." She opened the box to reveal the content, three rows of four cans, the top row being red, the middle being blue, and the bottom being green. The trio recognized the items, and Eiji walked to the woman, taking the box.

"So does this mean this Kousei had been helping us with everything so far?" Harry asked, looking confused while Eiji went to check out the contents, testing out the green can which could become a grasshopper. While Eiji was having fun, Ankh and Harry looked at Kousei who was working on his cake.

"Are you the one gathering the Medals, despite being a human?" Ankh asked, glaring at him.

"That's right!" Kousei shouted, focusing on his batter mixing.

"Why?" Harry asked.

"I'm actually here to negotiate, Harry-kun." Kousei said, looking at them.

"Negotiate?" Ankh asked, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

As it turned out, Kousei wanted to share a percent of the Medals recovered in the Yummy fights that Ankh, Eiji, and Harry would obtain in exchange for his services. Harry rubbed his neck, not sure what to think as he knew they needed to give and take but he knew Ankh wouldn't like the idea.

"You want us to share the Medals?" Ankh asked, angered.

"That's correct." Kousei told the two. "My foundation will provide precious equipment like bikes and weapons. In exchange, you guys will offer the Medals you obtain in battle. It's a simple deal."

"Maybe so." Harry said. "And I can understand that we need to give and take to be prepared for the next Greeed attack. But how many do you need?"

"I'm not asking for all of it." Kousei said, smiling at them. "Just…. 70% of the ones you collect."

While Harry tried to calculate how much that was in his head since the size of each Yummy would be different based on the type of Yummy is born, Ankh just got more angry.

"Screw you!" He shouted, holding up his Greeed arm and began to approach the woman. But Harry gasped as there were sudden gunshots and saw the young man who gave him and Eiji their weapons, partially hidden in the bushes. He and Ankh glared at each other, Harry kept quiet as they had their staredown.

"The next one won't miss." The young man said, looking at him.

Ankh glared and turned to him, ready to hurt him but Eiji showed that the green cans, along with changing into a grasshopper, also has the function of a two-way communicator. Harry smiled to see Eiji happy, but there was a question of the distance when the communicator would be barely able to work. Harry tried to think about what Kousei was offering and took a breath.

"Eiji Hino, Harry Potter, you understand, don't you?" Kousei asked the two. "You understand how wonderful our Medal System is."

"Well, I can't say it's that great, but it has been pretty useful so far." Harry said, rubbing his arm and looking away from Kousei.

"It's necessary in your battle against the Greeed." Kousei told him.

"Yeah," Eiji said, nodding and smiling. Then he recalled something, "I just remembered. Why are you collecting Medals?"

The area was quiet for a while, almost feeling like a eternity at what Kousei would tell him. But he just smiled.

"It's a secret." He told them.

"I see." Eiji said, making Harry sigh at his simple way of thinking.

"Satonaka-kun, let's leave it at that for today." Kousei said "Ankh-kun, I will hear your reply another day."

With that, Satonaka and the young man left the trio, and as the sun was setting, the trio of Harry, Eiji, and Ankh went to find a place to sleep for the night. The next day, Harry yawned, sitting on a step and stretching as Ankh browsed the information on the phone for anything to tell him about the strange Kousei Kougami and why humans wanted Medals. Eiji looked through his money and panicked.

"Oh no!" He cried. "If I don't work soon…"

Turning to Ankh, Eiji told him, "Ankh! You eat too much ice! Plus it's autumn already! I can't even buy underwear with this….."

"Well, lets see if we can find a good work place with a warm apartment or housing nearby." Harry suggested. "I don't want to spend any nights sleeping in this weather."

"What a pest….." Ankh groaned. "I can't concentrate….."

"Hey!" Eiji said. "Listen to what Harry and I have to say!"

"I'm not talking about either of you." Ankh said, not looking at him. "This aura….. Is it a Yummy or a…."

Harry looked at him as he suddenly began to walk somewhere. Walking with Eiji, Harry looked around and wondered what Ankh was sensing. He kept quiet, pondering if his friends and Malfoy were okay while he was doing this. Harry also wondered if he should really find some kind of work so he could stay close to Eiji and keep a eye on Ankh.

As they walked, Harry gulped and asked, "Ankh, since you seem to be the most knowledgeable on the subject, can you tell us more about OOO?"

Ankh didn't answer as they reached some kind of relaxation area that overlooked a few of the buildings with the big apartment like building. Harry and Eiji looked at Ankh, who was looking around for something and suddenly spoke. "Eiji."

Harry was surprised to see him transform his gauntlet hand and he shouted, "Transform!"

Eiji was given the main three Cores when there was a sudden burst of water and a female being appeared as Eiji transformed into Tatoba, Harry tried not to look at her body but saw that she was based on water animals, he groaned that they didn't have any Medals of the opposite element to face her. The female being looked at them and sounded interested.

"My…. Despite having revived in such a state, you're still as sharp-eyed as ever, Ankh." She said, looking at him.

"It's your humid aura." Ankh said, looking at her. He looked at Eiji and said, "Eiji, be careful. She's one of the Greeed, Mezool."

"So one of your old friends, huh?" Harry said, looking at her.

"Pleased to meet you, OOO boy. And mage boy." Mezool said, looking at the two and making Harry sweat with worry.

'Okay, considering she is over 800 years ago, we are techincally boys, but still…' Harry thought, shaking at what she could do to them.

"Mezool, don't follow me around!" Ankh told the female type Greeed. "It's a nuisance!"

"You guys are the true eyesore." Mezool said, laughing. "I can't even go on a walk."

Ankh just grabbed Harry and pulled him away as Eiji tried to fight Mezool, seeing that despite the downgrade on her power, Mezool was a force to be reckoned with. She was able to jump to a higher place by jumping off Eiji's shoulder and looked down at the boys.

"OOO boy! Mage Boy! See you again!" She said, walking away.

Harry shivered agin at hearing her call him boy again and took a breath to calm down as Eiji cancelled his transformation and turned to Ankh.

"Do you think you made a Yummy?" Eiji asked.

"Even if she has, Mezool's Yummys won't appear so easily." Ankh explained, walking to him with Harry. "She probably made a nest somewhere to devour human greed."

"A nest?" Harry said, moving some of his hair out of the way as the wind blew. "So do you know where it is?"

"Dunno." Ankh said, looking at a building in the distance. "Right now, I'm going to study this." He grabbed Harry's arm and walked somewhere, leaving Eiji who looked in the direction he was looking and wondered if the nest was in that direction. Harry just followed Ankh, confused while the blonde haired Greeed walked, looking at the phone.

The two visited the various branches of the Kougami Foundation, Harry realized that Ankh was trying to find Kousei and Harry looked around.

'There's no way we could find his HQ and walk right in, is there?' He thought.

Hearing something, Ankh and Harry saw the can devices that Satonaka offered them the other day and the red one dropped the green one into Harry's hand, having it changed into the gresshopper form.

'Harry-kun, Ankh-kun, are you there?!' Eiji asked, sounding panicked.

"Eiji?" Harry asked.

"Stop playing around already." Ankh said, sounding annoyed.

'I'm already playing a game of tag with a Greeed!' Eiji said, shocking the two of them.

Hearing him scream, Ankh said, "Eiji, just run until I get there!"

Changing the can into its can form, Ankh grabbed Harry's arm again and ran to a pair of nearby can vendors. The two each inserted a Cell Medal and pressed the button, having the vendor change into the motorcycles. Mounting the bikes, they put on the helmets and gloves before hearing Kousei.

"Ankh-kun. Harry-kun." He said, speaking from a screen on the building. "Looks like you're finding our system useful."

'How does he know where we are?' Harry thought.

Ankh just kept quiet and sped off to find and help Eiji, Harry following behind. Harry just hoped that they weren't too late and guessed the reason Eiji had to use the cans to contact them was cause he didn't have the Core Medals to transform. He sighed, realizing how much this hiccup would hinder further battles with the Greeed if Ankh kept the Cores to himself.

Luckily, they caught up with Eiji and saw that the insect Greeed they had faced before was following, While Ankh and Eiji rode side by side so Eiji could get the Core Medals and transform, Harry covered the back as the Greeed tried to follow all the three of them.

The two stopped and Harry lifted his visor as Eiji prepared to face the Greeed now that he was properly prepared to face him. He watched as Eiji tried to face the Greed who looked like he was throwing a tantrum at the fact one of his Cores were being used.

"That Uva…." He heard Ankh mutter. "Is it possible he doesn't know?"

'What is he….' Harry thought, before jumping at Ankh shouting at Uva.

"Uva!" He shouted. "Did you hear that Kazari has one of your Medals?!"

Harry facepalmed as Uva was shocked to hear and Ankh said, "I knew it! There's no way Kazari would tell you! He's got it! He took one from us!"

Luckily, Uva's confusion was able to allow Eiji to change the Batta Legs to the Cheetah Legs and with the change in Medals, Eiji began to get a bit of the upper hand in the fight, using the speed of the Cheetah Core. When he was able to kick Uva back, causing some of his Medals to come out, Ankh sent out his gauntlet hand to catch the Cores and smiled.

Harry looked at the three green colored Cores Ankh held and thought, 'With the Batta Medal, will these be enough to form a single color combo?'

Ankh smiled, noting Harry's look and said, "We've got three in a set."

Personally, I like the Yellow and Red Combos, but we got a while before we get to those combos however it will be worth the wait so I will work to get there. So lets keep working to that point.

Next chapter, Eiji uses the Green Combos and face the nest of Mezool's Yummy, Harry and Ankh formally meet Kousei in person, Ankh swallows his pride and makes a deal with Kousei, and Harry wonders what other types of Yummy they may encounter.
