Chapter 6: Storm
Vixen was walking around the halls of the Pizzeria trying to find a new way to get to the Night Guard without having to worry about the cameras. She was almost there when the guard decided to check the light in the hallway outside the door. Seeing one of the kids the Guard shut the door. "Dang it, so close... now I have to go back and try again." Vixen said as she sulked back to the dinning room.
She walked along the hallways looking for anything that might have been left during the day. Vixen found some dollar bills laying on the ground and some tickets and tokens that got left behind and weren't found by the janitors when they had cleaned up after the children left. "Wonder what Tika is up to?" Vixen asked herself and started walking around trying to find her friend.
What Vixen didn't know was the weather forecast for the night. It had been projected that there would be scattered storms throughout the night. Vixen found her way to the kitchen. "Hey Chica, is Tika around?" Vixen asked the adult animatronic who was making the pizzas for the next day.
"Sorry sweety, Tika is out running around the hallways trying to get the guard." Chica said in response to the fox girl.
"Thanks anyway Chica." Vixen said as she turned around and started walking around the halls again looking for her friends. There was a low rumbling of thunder in the distance that was just barely audible. Vixen turned her head looking around. "Must have been boxes falling in the back room." She said and kept walking.
Vixen walked by the Storage Closet and heard arguing, she decided to peek inside.
"You can just skip the Storage Closet! It is part of Bonnie's pattern!" Junior yelled at Base as the bunny had gone into the closet and then left while the camera had been on.
"I did go in there and look here we are, back in here! Now will you let me go after the Night Guard or what!?" Base yelled back at Junior.
There was a slightly louder roll of thunder as the storm was getting closer, Vixen thought one of the boys must have bumped into something. "um... Hey guys... Do you know where Tika is?"
The boys stopped their fighting and turned to look at the fox girl. "No sorry, I haven't seen her since we booted up." Base said and looked at Vixen. The thunder hadn't even registered to the boys.
"Thanks anyway..." Vixen said and turned to keep looking for her friend.
Vixen kept walking, she went by the Spare Parts room and ducked inside and went to their charging room. By this point, she could hear the heavy rain pounding on the roof and outer walls of the Pizzeria. The fox girl had also seen flashes of lighting off in the distance, and heard the low rolls of thunder that came with them.
Picking up her Foxy the Pirate Plush, she thought about going to visit her dad since she couldn't find her friends. Whimpering a little she got up to head to the Cove, but hearing a boom of thunder she froze up. Her ears went back as she was scared. A second boom of thunder and she took off.
Tika heard the first boom of thunder that had made Vixen freeze in her tracks. "Uh-Oh..." the yellow dog said and then started running around trying to find the fox girl before she hurt herself from her fear. Tika passed Base and Junior in the halls as they had heard the thunder and realized they needed to search for Vixen as well. "Have you seen Vixen?" Tika asked the boys.
"Not since she stopped by asking if we had seen you." Base said, his face had a look of worry on it. If no one knew where she was, she could be hiding anywhere in the restaurant.
"That was about 30 minuets ago..." Junior said as he was worried that Vixen might run off into an area she wasn't supposed to go.
The second loud boom went off and they realized Vixen would be running by now. "Base, you go check Pirates Cove." Tika said and the bunny ran off towards the Cove.
"Junior, you go check the Spare Parts Room." Tika said and the brown bare also took off running for his designated room.
"Me... I'll check small, quiet places towards the middle of the building." Tika said to herself and set off like the rest looking for Vixen.
Vixen had run off and had crawled inside of an air vent, she didn't like the thunder and it only seemed to get louder and louder. The young fox wanted to run and find another hiding spot, but she had gotten stuck in the vent. The thunder boomed even louder in the air vents so it drowned out her cries.
Tika was running around searching like the others were. She passed by an air vent and heard a faint whimpering from it. Stopping, she looked at the air vent. There was another boom of thunder, followed by a cry of terror from the air vent. "Vixen..." Tika muttered and then she tried to open the air vent, but this one was sealed off.
Tika ran from vent to vent, looking for the one Vixen had crawled into, she passed by Base near the Cove. "She is in the air vents! I think she is stuck!" Tika yelled to the bunny as she ran to the next air vent.
After several minuets of searching, she found the vent near the Spare Parts room that Vixen had crawled into. "Vixen, I'm here." Tika said softly into the vent so as not to scare the poor fox girl even more. "I'm stuck..." Vixen called out and Tika groaned, "I'll be right back." Tika said and she went to find something she could use.
She came back with a mettle pole and she slowly used it to help drag Vixen out of the air vent. The crying fox girl fell onto the floor in a crying mess. Tika sat down beside her and brought her into a hug to comfort her as she cried. The storm passed soon after and Tika noticed Vixen had fallen asleep. Smiling she waved down Base and Junior to help her carry Vixen to her charging chair. Then they all went to bed.
