That is right I am back fo
Gajeel's screams reverberated throughout the hideout. The air hung heavy. He was turning. Scales covered his body. Two dark horns protruded from the sides of his head. His teeth were fangs and his his nails made perfect claws. The only humanity that remained were in his eyes.
His phone buzzed with a life beside his bedside table. It hummed angrily demanding attention until Pantherlily came to answer it. "Yes, this is Pantherlily speaking on behalf of Gajeel."
A loud roar rang again.
"Lily whats that noise?" Levy inquired.
Pantherlily was shocked to hear her voice. It had been so long. He hesitated, thinking of a suitable answer. "Oh its just a rowdy space, what is the matter?"
"I found the book!" Levy nearly shrieked.
Pantherlily nearly dropped the phone, "You did what?!"
"I found it!" Levy quickly rambled on about her excursion to the library, "Can you believe it? Isn't actually insane, I may be wrong but it felt like a thing y'all should check out right? Lily, you haven't spoken a word, have I lost you? Did I make a mistake?"
"No" This had to be a trap. "What you described is exactly what we are looking for." How did it get out of Jellal's tower? Who orchestrated this? "When are you free?" He would be more careful but every minute is a minute closer to losing his friend. "I'll teleport you so we can analyze this further."
"ohh," Lily heard a pause that sounded like disappointment. "umm.. well it is Friday, so I can sneak away tonight or tomorrow."
"Yeah, Gajeel would get you but he is... rather sick at the moment." Another roar. "Very ill."
"Oh no, what happened? Does he need anything? Is he okay!?" Disappointment turned to extreme worry, Lily was not good at this.
"He'll be okay. Just keep the book safe and call this number is anything happens. Stay safe, see you soon."
"Okay ... bye"
Lily hung up and felt guilt. His best friend was turning into a soulless monster and this poor girl was getting wrapped up in it all.
