*A door opens to Jay's Workspace, the area of space-time with reality-bending, 4th wall-breaking properties where RJ "Jay" Writing Ink oversees his stories and comes up with funny intros and outros. In walks Janna, Eddy, the Spongebob Narrator, and Nappa*
Janna: So, things have been really crazy this week, huh?
Nappa: Yep.
Spongebob Narrator: Yes
Eddy: Understatement of the century. So, why'd Jay call us here again?
Nappa: Something about an announcement about his story, I think.
Janna: Hey, where is that guy, anyway? The new chapter for the story has to be up tomorrow.
Eddy: Hey, maybe Plank over there knows where he is.
*Eddy then points to a space in front of them. Sure enough, there's a piece of 2x4 wood with a smile and face drawn on it in crayon sitting on the floor near them. And right next to him is a mini-holo projector underneath a sign that says "for homies"*
Eddy: Guess that means us
Nappa: Or maybe it's for the readers and we shouldn't mess with it.
Eddy: Oh, what's wrong, Walter White? Scared we'll make Jay mad if we touch his stuff?
Nappa: Ehh, more like I don't wanna make that guy over there mad. *Point's at Plank* He's got the eyes of a killer.
*Janna already turned the holo-projector on, though. Out comes an image of Jay, who apparently recorded this in an unknown location*
Janna: Hey, dorks. You gonna keep arguing, or you gonna listen to this thing?
Jay (Hologram): Hey guys, it's me, RJ Writing Ink. I had to leave pretty quickly, so I left this message with Plank for you guys. I just wanted to let you all know that there will be no new chapter of Comet vs. the Forces of Evil this week.
Nappa: Oh no
Eddy: Oh no
Spongebob Narrator: Oh-
Jay: And please don't say "Oh no." I don't need the Kool-Aid Man crashing through the walls. My Workspace may be capable of some crazy stuff, but it can still have its walls broken.
*Everyone shuts up*
Jay: I'm assuming you're done, so I'm going to continue. There's two big reasons why there's no chapter tomorrow, and one minor one. The first big one is that, in case you guys haven't noticed, has been acting on the fritz lately. A bunch of people have noticed that we're unable to access the latest chapters of our fanfics. Instead, we get this error:
Chapter not found. Please check to see you are not using an outdated url.
New chapter/story can take up to 15 minutes to show up.
And I have no idea what it means, but apparently, this stuff has happened in the past several times. If you guys want to read stuff and not risk this error, then I'd recommend downloading the app, log in to your accounts on there, and read it from there. You can follow and favorite writers just like you would on the website. Still, if this ends up being a recurring problem, I may end up starting to post this on Archive of Our Own and Wattpad. I was planning on adding it on Wattpad, anyway, since that place let's us add photos, and a fan artist I know has been nice enough to let me use their gender-swapped artwork of Star vs. for this story.
Secondly, I am going to be very busy next week since a lot of things are going to be happening. On a national scale, we may have to wait until then to know the winner of the 2020 Presidential Elections, and given how important that is to millions of people, I think that we should put all our focus on that. Plus, with the release of Assassin's Creed: Vahalla, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and the next-gen consoles, I'm going to be very busy playing those games for my YouTube channel. So, I want to spend as much time this weekend planning and writing as far ahead as possible. I want to keep being able to give you guys a new chapter each week, and that requires writing as far in advance as possible.
Speaking of next-gen consoles, that brings me to the minor reason: the next chapter's going to have a PS5 joke in it, and I realized that it would make more sense if I put the chapter out after the console was released to the public.
So, that's why there won't be a new chapter this week. Sorry guys, I hate doing this, but I want to make sure I can stay on top of things. But don't worry: the next chapter will be out next Friday, followed by another new chapter the Friday after that. Debating whether or not I should take a break the Friday after that for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. You'll know soon.
So, Janna, and anyone else who found this message, make sure that the readers hear it. I don't want to leave without warning and give them no indication as to when I'll be back. I refuse to be that kind of person. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to finish that critical mode run of Kingdom Hearts III that I've been meaning to do.
*The holo-projector then turns off, leaving everyone behind to process things.*
Nappa: Soo, no new chapter this week?
Eddy: Sure looks like it.
Nappa: Well, what the hell are we supposed to do?
Janna: Wanna go play Among Us and stan The Mandalorian on Social Media?
Everyone else: We're in.
