The Mystery of Kryptonite

Clark has just moved to Metropolis after graduating from college. He has made his debut as Superman in Metropolis but is haunted by events from his time in Capitol City. In particular the discovery of kryptonite which has shaken him to his core even if only at a sub-conscious level. Kryptonite should not exist but it does.

2. Chapter 2

Kryptonite is a mystery and, as such, it should be shrouded in fog. A murky threat to Superman. One rarely seen or used. Unfortunately, the current Superman and Lois TV show turned into a kryptonite of the week series almost immediately after it premiered. I stopped watching the show after its first season for several reasons including this. Happily, I own DVDs of the Superboy TV series. 100 episodes with kryptonite featured in less than a dozen of those eps. The series created new and novel threats for Superboy which made for engaging stories unlike Superman and Lois which uses kryptonite as a crutch and effectively takes all the mystery away.
