Hello, my lovely readers. Who's been waiting for Klaus to finally have to transition into a werewolf? And who's been waiting for a major Klaroline chapter? Okay, here it is. One little note though. It will be about two to three weeks before the next chapter 'cause I need to finish it. On with the show…

Chapter 29: Wolf, be a Klaus Tonight

Staring at Klaus, who was pacing the dorm room irritably for a number of reasons, Caroline wished there were something she could do for him. Unfortunately, compulsion was out of the question. Caroline had made the decision when she became a vampire that she could not compel him for any reason. Now, she could only watch him pace. "Are you sure that the three of you are strong enough to do this spell?" Klaus questioned his mother, sister and Bonnie.

"Niklaus, we are not a coven but we are quite strong. We will be drawing on Bonnie's family line to help us with the spell." Esther explained for the third time.

Rebekah came over and cupped her brother's cheek, forcing him to look at her. "Nik, we will be fine. I promise you. This is for the good of everyone on this campus."

Klaus glowered at her. "Not everyone on this campus is my family."

"Klaus, we can't let this go. Rebekah is going to shift soon. We have to do the spell now." Bonnie called from the doorway. She was carrying a sack.

Growling low in his throat, Klaus nodded and followed the four women out the door. He took Caroline's hand as his mother, Rebekah and Bonnie walked to the outer edge of the campus and began to pour out salt which had been spelled to be invisible to anyone other than the three who cast the spell.

Making a complete circle of the grounds Esther, Rebekah and Bonnie walked to the quad and sat in circle. They pulled out three candles and lit each of them. "Let him not walk this ground." Esther whispered.

"Let him cease to haunt my dreams," Rebekah whispered.

"Let the circle be complete to keep the one we seek from this land," Bonnie said, her eyes opened and turned black before she fell over. Sitting up, she whispered. "The spell is done. The circle is bound."

"Good. Now, let's unhex me. Shall we?" Rebekah said cheerily as they walked back to the dorm. Esther made more special unhexing brew. Drinking it, Rebekah gagged, "Kol's right. Ugh. That is awful. I will never hex anyone again."

"Yes, you will," Kol called from the doorway.

"You wanker," Rebekah snapped at him but she looked happy as she hugged her brother.

"Uh huh," Kol replied, keeping his crazy to himself for once. "Where is the jackass? I heard he's got himself some fangs now. Should I be scared? I truly shiver in my trainers."

"You should," Marcel said from behind him, making Kol jump.

Caroline and Klaus began to laugh. "Gee, Kol did someone sneak up on you?" Caroline teased as Klaus wrapped his arms around her.

"What bloody ever," Kol snapped. "Time for Nik to get down on all fours and howl at the moon with the other two." Klaus growled and Caroline held him back. "Temper temper, Nik. Do I need to get you a bone to play with?"

"I will play with your bones," Klaus snarled at his brother, bearing his teeth.

"Boys! Stop this instant!" Esther demanded, "I have to go home but you two will end with this before I leave." Staring at her sons, Esther nodded. "Good. Have a lovely weekend."

As soon as Esther left, Klaus leapt on top of Kol and they began to roll around on the floor, punching each other. There were various insults traded before Caroline pried the two apart. "Seriously?" Caroline snapped at the two.

"He started it," Kol yelled.

"I did not," Klaus retorted, wiping blood from under his nose.

"You're both rotten," Rebekah told them. Leaning against Marcel. "Aren't they?"

"The worst," Marcel replied with a grin.

"You don't count," Kol shot at the new vampire.

"Your sister seems to think I do," Marcel snapped at him.

"Enough," Rebekah said. "Nik, Hayley and I have to go howl at the moon now." She strode over to the door and Hayley got up from her bed to follow. Klaus just stood in the room. "Nik, are you coming. Or do you plan on shifting in my room?"

"I can't do this," Klaus told them.

"You don't have a choice," Rebekah snapped.

Klaus gave her a defiant look. "This is not what I want."

"Then you shouldn't have triggered the curse. Now, come on," Rebekah snapped.

"He's going to the woods with me," Caroline blurted out without thinking about what she was saying.

"What?" Rebekah asked, staring at Caroline like she was speaking a foreign language. "He has to be locked up."

Shaking her head, Caroline thought about it. "No. He's going with me."

"Whatever," Rebekah muttered.

The rest of the group left and Caroline took Klaus' hand, leading him out to the woods. They ended up in a familiar clearing where Caroline had nearly been vamp chow. "Klaus," Caroline said, turning around to face her boyfriend, who she thought of as her mate.

"Yes, love," Klaus said, looking warily up at the moon that had almost risen and he began to growl, sinking to his knees.

"Do you trust me?" Caroline whispered.

"Yes, Caroline," Klaus replied, staring into her eyes as his bones began to break and he howled in pain. Caroline stepped away from him, her eyes filling with tears. She began to pace and then stared at Klaus, who was in agony.

Dropping to all fours in front of Klaus, Caroline stared at him until he was able to concentrate again. "Do you still want to be like me?" Caroline asked him, holding her breath as she stared at Klaus.

"I want to spend the rest our lives together. Yes, I want to be like you. I never want to be apart from you," Klaus told her, panting as more pain washed over him and he began to sweat, soaking his clothes. He had forgotten to take them off.

"Klaus," Caroline said. Taking his face between her hands. "Klaus, you have to try to hold on for just another moment." He nodded, sucking in deep breathes as Caroline placed her wrist to his mouth. Klaus sank his fangs in, drinking her blood. Pulling her wrist away gently, Caroline pressed a kiss to Klaus' forehead and then another to his lips. "Close your eyes, my love."

Klaus closed his eyes. Drinking Caroline's blood seemed to soothe him. But she knew it was a matter of time before the seizures would begin again. She refused to allow that to happen to him. Sending a quick prayer to anything that would listen and feeling tears trickle down her cheeks, Caroline snapped his neck. Then she began to sob hysterically. Lying down on the cool earth, wrapping her limbs around her dead lover, all Caroline could do was hope that she was right. If she wasn't, she would be finding out what did kill a hybrid. She would put a stop to this misery of an existence.

At some point she must have fallen asleep because she woke up with the sun streaming down on her. Looking at Klaus, he looked like he was sleeping peacefully. Leaning over him, she didn't see any signs of life. She began to shake him gently and then forcefully, calling out. "Klaus! Klaus! Please! Wake up! Don't be dead." When he didn't move, Caroline got up and began to walk away.

Sinking to her knees yards away, Caroline began to cry. She thought she would never stop crying. Seeing a large tree branch nearby she crawled toward it. Then she grabbed it, picked it up and closed her eyes. "I won't do this without you," she whispered and then she attempted to stake herself when someone yanked the piece of wood away.

"What the hell?" Caroline yelled in frustration when she opened her eyes to see Klaus standing over her, his eyes glowing golden. He didn't give her time to react before he yanked her to her feet and shoved her against the nearest tree. Grabbing her t-shirt he tore it off. He then tore the rest of her clothes off. Yanking the zipper of his pants undone, Klaus reached down, pulling Caroline upward and pinning her to the tree. Sliding inside her, Klaus growled as he pressed Caroline into the tree bark.

Caroline sighed as she moved with her boyfriend. "Forever," she whispered to him and Klaus smiled before placing his hands in her hair and pressing his tongue inside her mouth moving with Caroline in ways that they would never have tried as mere humans. His intention was to never let her move away from this tree. That they would continually mate like this for the next century. No one needed them to return. They could stay like this, panting and grinding. Licking and sucking and kissing. Because nothing mattered but Caroline. His Caroline.

Finally, Caroline pulled back. "Klaus, we have to go back."

"I don't want to, love," Klaus whispered. "Wouldn't you rather do this?" He said moving her up the tree and making her gasp and pant.

"Yes, but the others will want to know that we're okay." Caroline told him gently.

Thinking about it, Klaus sighed and released her. "If that is what you wish."

"Besides you have to feed to complete the transition or you won't be a hundred percent." Caroline told him.

"If you say so," Klaus replied, leaning down to kiss the back of her neck and slide a hand up her thigh.

"Stop," Caroline ordered and to her surprise he stopped. That was a first. She didn't know whether to be relieved or to be worried about whether he felt alright. Usually if she told him to stop, he would just go right ahead until she told him off. "I need something to wear because someone tore my clothes up."

Pulling his shirt over his head, Klaus handed it to Caroline and she grinned. "You are such a good boyfriend."

"I suppose. Can we have sex after the others know we're well and I've completed the transition? I really feel like I should be making up for that time we spent apart." Klaus whispered, wrapping an arm around Caroline's waist.

"Only if you promise to get along with Kol even if he's being Kol," Caroline replied, tilting her head, staring up at him.

"Yes, love. I will not attack my brother as much as he deserves it for being a loathsome little horror of a man." Klaus retorted, pressing his lips to Caroline's temple.

Taking Klaus' hand, Caroline decided that they should pick up the pace before Klaus chose to become frisky again and she couldn't resist. "You have to remember that all of your emotions and senses are heightened now that you're a vampire." Caroline explained as they got closer to their friends.

"Like my desire for you?" Klaus asked, reaching out and jerking Caroline back against him. She should have known that he wouldn't let her go that easily. Moving her head up to look up at him, she smiled.

"Yes, like that," Caroline murmured as Klaus' hands slid under his shirt, tugging her closer and wrapping around her breasts making her growl. "We have to go. But maybe just for a couple of minutes…" Feeling Klaus pull her down underneath him before pulling his shirt over her head. She really hoped none of their friends found them like this. Damon would be the worst, making comments about wolf mating.

Losing concentration, Caroline's eyes closed as she bit her lower lip. Then there was a cough. A cough from far too close. Looking up at black jean clad legs, Caroline wanted to scream when she saw Damon smirking down at her. "Good morning, frisky campers. I would ask how your morning was going but I since I may have to burn my retinas out after that show I think I'll pass. Everyone else is waiting."

"Blimey, Nik, you really are an animal," Kol called, appearing next to Damon. "HELLO, Caroline." Kol's grin was so wide Caroline was surprised that it didn't split his face.

"Kol, run," Klaus ordered.

"Why? I have to say I thought you never actually you had sex. But I guess what they say is true. 'Seeing is believing." Kol informed his brother just as Klaus' eyes glowed golden. Damon had to grab Kol and run.

Klaus began to pursue them when Caroline shouted after him. "Klaus, stop. Kol is an ass. But you can't kill him. He's your brother." Klaus slowed to a stop. He seemed to be struggling as he stared in the direction of his prey and then back at Caroline. His shoulders slumped and he came back over to her.

"Doors. With many, many locks next time," Caroline told him after pulling his shirt back on. Caroline leaned up to kiss him one more time before they joined the others.

"Are you sure I can't kill him," Klaus muttered as they walked over to the group and Kol was smirking.

Taking his hand in hers, Caroline looked at her friends. "I would ask whether your little plan worked out but I would rather not know." Rebekah said, sneering at her shirtless brother and barely decent friend.

"They were -" Kol began when Damon slapped a hand over Kol's mouth.

Klaus growled and then looked around the group. "Who's bleeding?" He asked, sniffing the air.

"I am," Bonnie said, shaking her head. "I fell over a branch and cut my arm," she held up the wounded arm and Caroline hissed as Klaus darted toward the witch. He grabbed her arm, biting her and began to drink as everyone else stared in shook.

"Klaus, stop," Caroline shouted as Bonnie began to look faint.

Dropping Bonnie to the ground, Klaus stared down at the body of the witch. His teeth were dripping with blood as he stared at Bonnie, his eyes widening. "Did I kill her?"

"No," Damon told him before sinking his fangs into his own wrist and pressing it to Bonnie's mouth. Frowning at Caroline, he spoke, "So, when did you plan on telling us about this new twist in the plot? Or did you ever plan on telling us?"

Staring at Damon, Caroline narrowed her eyes and stood to her full height. "You know what, Da-mon, I don't have to justify my actions to you. I did what I thought was right. It you don't like it, too bad. It's done."

"You turned my brother into a blood sucker," Rebekah roared. No one saw it coming, not even Caroline, when Rebekah reared back and slugged Caroline. "You killed my brother, you bitch." Leaping on top of Caroline, Rebekah bit into Caroline's neck, clamping down with all her strength like she was trying to rip her head off.

Grabbing his sister, Klaus yanked Rebekah off and threw her into a tree, rendering her unconscious. He didn't bother to check to see if she was alright. His only concern was for Caroline, who had almost healed completely. She was just dazed as she stared at Klaus and then at Rebekah.

"Rebekah," Caroline moaned as Marcel leaned down and peered into Rebekah's eyes.

"She's okay," Marcel called and then he whirled on Klaus. "That's your sister. Are you crazy? You could have killed her with the strength you have now."

Klaus snarled, showing his fangs. "No one touches Caroline. Ever. No one," he told the group staring at them.

"Uh oh," Damon said, looking at Klaus warily. He walked over slowly and then grabbed Klaus by the neck and snapped it.

"What the hell, Damon?" Caroline yelled at the other vampire, rising to her feet.
"This is not good at all," Damon muttered, stoking his chin and staring at Klaus.

"What?" Bonnie demanded as Kol stroked her back.

"We've got a teensy little problem here, folks," Damon said, holding up his fingers to indicate the size of the problem.

"Uh huh. Spit it out, Vampire." Rebekah snapped as she came to and sat up to glare at Damon.

"Well, that one," Damon pointed at Klaus, "is sired to that one," he pointed at Caroline.

"Huh?" Marcel's face wrinkled up as he watched the scene unfold.

Damon shook his head. "Klaus is sired to Caroline. She made him into a vampire and now he's going to do what-ever she tells him to do. If she tells him to climb Everest, he'll be scaling that mountain before you can blink. It's rare but it happens."

Caroline stared down at Klaus, placing a hand on his head. "How do we fix him?"

Damon shrugged. "Get a new boyfriend."

Rolling her eyes, Caroline sighed as Klaus opened his eyes. "Did you snap my neck?" Klaus demanded staring at Damon and then turning to Caroline. "He just snapped my neck."

"I know, baby," Caroline whispered, shaking her head in denial.

"What's wrong, Caroline?" Klaus asked, placing his hand on her cheek. "Did someone hurt you while I was out?"

"Should have," Rebekah snapped, getting to her feet and walking away.

Damon sauntered over to Klaus and Caroline and knelt down. "Barbie here made you an official member of the fang club and now you're going to want to make her happy ALL the time. No matter what she says you'll have to do it because you're sired to her. Only seen it once in my lifetime. But that was enough."

Klaus looked at Caroline, who was staring at the ground. "Caroline, love, nothing has changed. We'll figure out how to get through this."

Chuckling, Damon got to his feet. "Good luck with that. I have my own newbie vamp to deal with back at the dorms. You crazy kids try to not get in any more trouble. Witchy, let's get a move on it before Caroline's little toy gets a hankering for Bonnie blood again."

Caroline watched the others go. She was now alone with Klaus and Marcel. "I'm not going to be sired to that Katerina woman, am I? Because she gives me the wiggins." Marcel stated, staring at Klaus.

"I don't know how any of this works," Caroline said miserably.

"I should probably go find Rebekah." Marcel said, walking away.

Now, Klaus and Caroline were aloe lost with their own thoughts. "What do we do now, love?" Klaus asked, reaching up and touching Caroline's face.

Sighing, Caroline stared at Klaus. "I have no idea what we can do. I mean we can't leave you like this."

"Think of the upside. We won't have fights anymore." Klaus joked and Caroline shook her head.

"It's not that easy. You don't have your freewill anymore. No one should have that stripped away from them," Caroline argued.

"Freewill is greatly exaggerated in my opinion," Klaus replied, staring into Caroline's eyes as she frowned.

"You don't mean that," Caroline replied but she wondered if he did given the certainty in his tone. Without replying verbally, Klaus pulled Caroline's face to his pressing his lips to hers gently. Laying down on his back, he pulled her on top of him.

"Freewill is an illusion, Caroline," Klaus told her as he pulled his jeans down and her down on top of him. Staring up at her he smiled sadly. "We all believe that we have control of what will happen to us but there is always someone out there making a decision which shapes our future." Klaus whispered, running his hands through Caroline's hair feeling it fan out around his face as she kissed him. 'It's what we do next that is important,' he thought, losing himself in the feeling of the woman he loved.

There you go for now. As I said I will try my best to update in two to three weeks and hopefully I get back into this story so that I can finish it. We will see.

Thank you to everyone who has read, faved, followed and/or reviewed.

Answer to reviews:

Alexis2106: Thank you. And I know that George is really awful. I can't really figure out whether he's a minion or if he's actually the big bad who's wearing someone else's face. The story really needed to have some lighter spots sometimes because otherwise it's like "OMG, I want to cry all the freakin' time." And there was no way that I could leave Marcel dead because I love Marcel so much. He's like one of my favorite characters or my Damon of TO land. Oh, and Delena is still one of my all time OTPs and I'll probably write about them being together in my fics even if they ruin them this season.

Lavanya: I love Marcel. He's like one of the coolest, most fascinating to watch characters on TO. And I love Rebel. I'm so sad that they may never revisit that ship depending on what the writers of TO decide to do and what Claire Holt wants to do with her career. I just fell in love with the idea that someone would choose Rebekah above everyone else, except for New Orleans. I'm still figuring Mikael out. I think that, yes, Mikael and Klaus are quite close in this story. Partly because Klaus is Mikael's biological son in the story and they have far too much in common…

Rose: Thank you.

Peace,

Jessica
