"Loki… is a fugitive. He's been causing trouble here on Midgard. Father has ordered his return to Asgard. He shall be punished for the harm he is causing here and for stealing the Tesseract." She remained silent and deep in thought.

'So that's what's going on… Why would he need the Tesseract?... Why didn't he tell me he was alive?...' thinking to herself, she started feeling more angry than excited to see him. "So… why did you need me?" she asked.

Thor chuckled nervously. "I just thought perhaps a beautiful woman would persuade him to speak of the Tesseract."

"You and I both know that's a lie… if you do not wish to tell me the truth fine, but do not lie to me Thor." She pouted slightly at the insult. He placed a hand on her shoulder and apologized but she huffed and looked away from him. He laughed again.

"You do not realize how simply adorable you look when you sulk this way." She blushed madly but remained silent.

"Alright, enough you two love birds. Thor, Natasha wasn't able to get Loki to cough up the location of the Tesseract. I need you to go speak to him and see if you can get anything out of your brother." Thor glared at Nick Fury. He looked over to Rienne to see if she had heard him but it appeared she hadn't. He inwardly let a sigh of relief escape and headed towards Loki.

Of course Rienne had heard. She was acting like she didn't. She needed to get to the bottom of this. What the hell was going on?! She was so confused… and angry. Angry at Loki. The more she thought about the situation the angrier she got. She started feeling like Loki abandoned her and the kids. Perhaps that was his plan all along…. He faked his death to abandon them?... for what?... how could he do that…. No that couldn't possibly be true…

She was so deep in thought that she didn't notice a certain blond make his way next to her. He watched her intently, taking in every detail of her face. She would furrow her brows and crinkle her nose. He thought it was the cutest thing. She let out a sigh of frustration and bit her bottom lip subconsciously. It wasn't until her lip started bleeding that she noticed what she was doing. She let out a soft 'ow' and licked the blood that escaped her.
"You should really be more careful." It was the blond man. She blushed, realizing that he had been watching her this whole time.

"Uh… yes, my apologies." She nervously fiddled with her hands.

He smiled and shook his head. "Sorry for what? You did nothing wrong. Here let me see." He leaned in very close to her. She felt her face get hotter, if that was even possible. "Yes, well it seems you bruised your lip pretty bad. I'll get you some ice for it." He smiled at her again as he leaned away from her.

"Hey cap, don't harass the pretty lady. Can't you see you're making her uncomfortable? I bet she'd rather spend time with me." It was a dark-haired man who Rienne thought was also very handsome but arrogant.

Ignoring the raven haired man, the blond took hold of Rienne's hand gently. "I shall return with the ice. By the way, my name is Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America."

Shyly smiling up at him she replied, "My name is Rienne… I am a Valkyrie in the King's Guard… thank you." He nodded and left to fetch some ice.

"Soooo….. Valkyrie eh? Do you get like some wings or something?" The raven haired man now stood in front of Rai with a smirk.

"Uh… not exactly…" She felt a little uncomfortable and turned around. Her back was now to him and she scanned the room for a place to sit. Unable to find one, she leaned against a wall with her eyes closed.

"Not very talkative I see…" He tried to persuade her to speak but she didn't. For some unknown reason, as handsome and as bright as he looked, he annoyed her a bit. "How about I show you around the city? Maybe you'll find something that interests you?" He ignored her indifference towards him. She opened her eyes and shook her head 'no' with a polite smile. He made her feel a bit nervous. Not because he was very handsome but for some unknown reason. She just didn't feel like she would get along with him.

"Now who's harassing the lady?" It was Steve. Her smile grew as she saw him walking up to her. He handed her the small ice pack and she placed it on her lip. "Really Stark, why don't you go and play with your toys?" He shrugged and looked back at Rai.

"Stark. Tony Stark. Also known as Iron Man." He flashed her a smirk. "If you get tired of this old man, you can find me in the conference room." Steve glared at him but he just brushed it off.

"So Rienne… how long will you be staying here with us?" Steve stared intently at her. She looked away unable to keep eye contact with him. His staring was making her self-conscious.

"Well, I suppose whenever Thor decides to go home." She concentrated on her ice-pack to distract herself from the blond.

"Would you like to join me in the conference room? You can meet our fellow Avenger Bruce Banner." She removed the ice from her lips and nodded. He led the way and she kept looking around curiously at her surroundings. He chuckled a bit at that. "Fascinated I take it?" Again she nodded.

"I've never seen such a …. Machine before… there are so many flashing lights and screens… I cannot make heads or tails of anything in here…" His smile widened.

"Well after I show you around the plane, if there is time, perhaps you would like to join me instead of Tony around the city? There are many more lights out there than here. I remember when I first came here… when I first experienced all this as well… it was a difficult adjustment but I've been getting by."

"Where do you hail from?" She asked, her curiosity eating away at her.

"That's a story for another day." He opened the door to the conference room and there was Stark and another man. He introduced her to them and vice versa. As she continued to be off in her own little world, looking at all the buttons and holograms and such in the room, she heard the men arguing about something. She looked over to them and it seemed Stark was pushing Steve's buttons. He looked pretty riled up and eventually turned to leave. Rienne followed behind him.

"Um… Captain… what's going on?" He saw sincere concern on her face.

"Please Rienne, call me Steve. And… What Tony said…just can't be true… about weapons that S.H.I.E.L.D is possibly hiding…"

"Well… let's find out." She stated simply. He looked at her with confusion. "Let's do some exploring… see if we can find these 'weapons'. That way if we do, you'll have proof of it and we can bring it up to your Avengers Leader or whatever." He placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled warmly at her.

"An excellent idea…" He started walking away quickly causing her to sprint a little to catch up.

"Hey! Wait for me!" She whispered loud enough for him to hear. "I want to explore this place too…"

"I don't want you to get into trouble…" He turned to her but she continued to walk ahead of him.

"C'mon let's go see what we can find!" Completely ignoring him, she continued to walk in the direction he was going. He chuckled and shook his head.

After what seemed like only minutes of searching, Steve found what he was looking for. Or rather, hoped not to find. He held up a weapon of sorts to Rienne. She looked over at him and tilted her head in confusion. "This… is what I was hoping not to find… it seems S.H.I.E.L.D wants to use the Tesseract for weapon manufacturing…" She looked intently on the item he was holding. "This is a weapon of mass destruction..."

"Why would your organization need such an item?" She looked up from the weapon up to him.

"That's what we're going to find out. Let's go."

Banner, Stark, Steve, Natasha and Fury were now arguing with each other. It was obvious that Fury didn't want to disclose any more information than what was necessary. Stark, on the other hand, wanted to know everything. He refused to let Fury try and weasel his way out of answering him. By the looks of things, Steve was getting increasingly angry with Fury and Stark. Soon, it was Steve and Stark arguing back and forth.

"-because of him." Fury points to Thor. The Golden Thunder God gives him an incredulous look.

"Me?" He replies with bewilderment. Nick Fury goes on to say how it was people like Thor that caused this. It was people of greater power that triggered him to want to protect his home planet. Thor started arguing with him that it was because of his misuse of the Tesseract that drove Loki to search for it. That it was a beacon, signaling other worlds that Midgard was ready for a higher form of war. Rienne agreed with Thor. She thought Fury's reasons for using the Tesseract for protection was good however, by using it to create weapons, he was only calling forth enemies to come destroy Midgard for it.

It seemed now they were all ganging up on Stark and he was has having none of it. He quickly tried to turn the tables around back to Fury. Thor stepped in with his 2 cents, saying how he thought humans were more evolved than what he was witnessing at the moment. Back and forth they all fought with one another and Rienne was getting increasingly frustrated. She gently touched Thor's arm in an attempt to draw his attention away from the situation, so she could calm him but, he harshly slapped her hand away.

"Hey! Don't treat her that way!" Steve stepped in to defend Rai.

"Oh look its Captain America to the rescue!" Stark said rather dryly. That caused Steve to narrow his eyes at him and now it was both of them arguing.

"Big man in a suite of armor…. Take that away and what are you?

"Genius, Playboy, Billionaire, Philanthropist."

"I've seen guys with none of that worth ten of you. I've seen the footage… you only fight for yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play…" Rienne could relate to that… she'd sacrifice everything for Loki… her life even… but it seemed that he was selfish… it seemed to her at this very moment the only thing Loki was looking after, was himself… not even for the well being of his children.

"-You're a laboratory experiment Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle." Rienne was confused at that. She made a mental note to ask Steve about it later.

"Put on the suit. Let's go a few rounds." He had a smirk on his face. Rienne was going to protest when she heard Thor chuckle.

"You people are so petty… and tiny..," She glanced over at him, then to Banner as he started arguing now. She noticed he was slowly inching backwards towards Loki's staff. She had been eyeing it as well, waiting for the opportune moment to take it for herself. He said something about killing himself which fueled her curiosity about this mysterious man. apparently he tried to shoot himself but… another man spit out the bullet?... What in all of Helheim was going on?... Everyone went on edge. It seemed now Rienne needed a new plan to obtain Loki's staff, seeing as how Banner was now holding it. Everyone looked ready to attack this man but why?...

Suddenly she heard some sort of beeping sound. Everyone started scrambling and looking at screens and she was more confused than ever. Steve and Stark started fighting again, but then, unexpectedly, there was a large explosion sending everyone flying. Thor protected her from it and when all the smoke and debris cleared up, he extended his hand for her to take. She hesitantly took it and stood up.

"I'm sorry for what I did earlier… I was angry… I didn't mean to hurt you…" She only nodded in acknowledgement of his apology. "We can discuss this later. Rienne stay here." He started running away from her but she quickly ran after him.

"Where are you going?! Thor do not leave me here alone! I have no weapon to defend myself!" She called out after him.

"I must make sure Loki has not escaped! It is best if you stay away Rienne! Stay safe!" At that moment they both saw Loki exiting his entrapment. "NO!" Thor yelled out but as he jumped onto Loki, it was only his hologram and Thor landed inside the cell. Loki quickly closed the door and mocked his brother by saying, "Are you ever not going to fall for that?"

"… Loki?" Rienne was in disbelief… it really was him.. this was no lie… no illusion… she was not dreaming… it really was him.

"… Rienne." He breathed out.
