A/N

the demand of updates have been getting higher on other stories, too bad since I have only written for this one. Well it can't be helped.

so I hope you will enjoy this chapter of sorrow, like the titel, I spent some time on trying to put this to words. I didn't want to jump straight at the action and tried to form some of characters feelings. I wanted to get a view of the effect of Naruto's parents.

While I have killed them off in the story there will be some more background coming in the story of them and others.

see ya next update! (Which will be most likely taking a very looooonnnnnggggg time)

He was pretty sure everyone was staring at him in the corridor. They were looking at him with pity and were whispering things about him. Naruto clenched the straps of his backpack tighter and started walking faster towards the end of the corridor, not because he was in a hurry nor he was trying to get away from the stares. He was trying to avoid those stares, he always tried to. He didn't want those stares of pity or being comforted by people he'd never talked to or barely even knew. It was just an excuse to go home and be alone for a while to clear his head.

At home it was quiet, no one would be waiting for him at home from now on. It would be silent all the time and also lonely. The days would go by in a dull for the blonde, never really noticing what was going on.

The moment the authority confimed the bodies were identified as his parents his world shattered. He had no one else to return to. Since his father was an orphan at birth and his mother's parents died both very early. He refused to go into the system or anything. He didn't want to leave the only thing he had left of his parents, not that anyone would understand how he felt.

He hadn't cried much, except at his parent's funeral. Even there he held back his tears, he didn't want to be deemed vulnerable by others. So he put up a brave front, a mask that didn't come off so easily.

But, in the end it broke down. And he was still alone.

Shikamaru sighed lazily as he exited the hidden underground bunker. His father made him do all kinds of troublesome exercises for training. He would say he'd rather have had a normal live like the ignorant teens that weren't aware of the Shinobi world, but that would be a lie. Even if being a Shinobi was tough, it did help against boredom and other stuff. Despite his complaining he was also worried about a new case that happend.

The whole Shinobi community was sent into panic and confusion because of a strange burst of Chakra. And the exact moment he left a certain blonde alone in a dark hole. All was too much of a coincidence to happend at the same time.

He knew when a person unlocked their Chakra a small burst of engergy was released, but it wasn't a small burst o chakra for sure. The burst was stronger than a normal Chakra, to strong for even someone with a big pool of Chakra reserves. Akatsuki would be attracted to this matter for sure if they wouldn't conceal the traces soon. That matter would be difficult to solve since the organisation probably got a hold of the strange incident.

And with the death of two strong shinobi, their forces had weakend severely. Thus making them more of a target to Akatsuki or other enemies. The Shinobi community was reducing at a rapid rate in Konoha or any other Hidden Village community that was victim of Akatsuki.

The younger generation would be more involved on this case too, meaning more work to do.

Shikamaru sighed, annoyed. All of this trouble was just a pain in the ass. He'd rather be lying on his roof watching the clouds and live an ordinary life that this weird Shinobi stuff. It couldn't be helped, this was the world he was living in and he was determined to live. Even with all the troublesome obstacles.

It was time for some more cloud watching too.

Tsunade stared at the depressed blonde in front of her. He looked downright terrible, as if the life was sucked right out of him. Under his eyes were dark rings with bloodshot eyes, that were probably from crying, and his pale skin didn't really make it any better on his look. It wasn't even a whole week after the funeral and he didn't seem to be improving or learning to cope a little. Seeming to be stuck in the past with mourning. It hit him very har and she knew it too.

She sighed and motioned Naruto to sit in the chair in front of her desk, he obeyed and sat down on the hard chair. He clearly didn't want to be here at all.

"How have you been holding up?" She asked.

He didn't answer and shifted his eyes away from hers, shrugging.

"Have you been eating well?" She continued, again no answer. This was gettng nowhere. "Look, Naruto." She started, "I want to help! Soon or later you are going to burst if you keep everything to yourself and don't confide in anyone."

Naruto looked up, she saw the dead eyes staring back to her.

"I don't wanna talk.. not now." He answered softly. "Maybe later." He got up and walked to the door, almost running into a concerned looking Shizune, who dropped her clipboard in the process. He apologized and hurried out of Tsunade's office.

"Aren't you going after him?" Asked Shizune, picking up the item from the floor and dusted it off.

"No.." The blonde woman answered. She sighed, "I need a drink!"

Shizune shot her a reprimanding look, but softened. "We all are trying to heal from Minato and Kushina their deaths. It hit you pretty hard too, didn't it?"

Tsunade nodded grimacing slightly. "That stubborn brat needs to realize he isn't the only one who is mourning."

Shizune grimanced too and nodded in agreement. "Minato and Kushina were friends with many, all of us are suffering."

She looked at Tsunade who was starting to fall in a depressed daze.

"I'll get you a drink."

"Thanks, Shizune!" Tsunade mumbled gratefully.

Tsunade looked at the paperwork in front of her, it wasn't as much as Mayor Sarutobi's paperwork, but still quite a pile. "Actually, Shizune, get me a whole bottle instead of just a drink!" She called out to her assistant. She smiled as she heard her assistant chuckled softly and began filing out some of the paperwork.
